Could access websites even after access restriction?

Hello!
My employees could open the sites even after I have blocked them through "Linksys Router >> Access Restrictions >> Website Blocking by URL".
I have given the URL for example as - http://www.facebook.com/ and enabled the restriction. Simply, my employees could get other related URL, say for example, https://www.facebook.com/index.php?stype=lo&lh=Ac_Q5kLYJ8vHMkRy" and simply they could browse the site.
This should not happen. Tried many ways to solve it, but hopeless. Could anyone please help.

The only way to prevent this is to setup securities in windows that prevents them from going to a specific website. Go to internet properties and then go to restricted sites. Here you can add in https: and http: this will have to be done on all the windows machines unfortunatly. There are other ways to do this but without knowing your exact network / pc setup it would be fruitless to try to explain.

I have created a data base link.It was created properly.
The Syantax that I have used is follows:
create database link X_link connect to User1 identified by User1 using 'Other_Database'
And on running the query:
select count(*) from table1@X_link
I am getting the error as follows:
TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified... TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified.
Please tell me where is the problem?

Your database link does not work because the entry you used does not exist in the tnsnames.ora in the database $ORACLE_HOME.
Login to the database server, set the environment, and try to tnsping the entry you used for the database link, then fix the tnsnames.ora file (probably in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin)
You can test a database link using :-
select sysdate from dual@link;

I cannot get rid of a tab/website even after removing/reinstalling Firefox

I have a tab/website that I cannot close. Every time I try, I receive a large window that states "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? PRESS ESCAPE OR CLOSE THIS ALERT", then the site remains. I removed Firefow from my computer. Then went to the Firefox web site, re-installed Firefox and the same website/tab in still there.
What is happening here?

You can leave one tab extra open and middle-click the problem tab to close that tab. 
Firefox doesn't display a close button on the last tab, so you need to close that problem tab while other tabs are still open.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js to prevent Firefox from restoring the last session.

Set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes] to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

IPad won't access website it previously accessed

I just bought a ipad for university, last night I accessed the course website without problem. The website requires login upon entering, today I am having problems because the page will not load. I have cleared my cache, cookies, history and tried to remedy the problem. I also tried to use the Dolphin HD browser to open the website and had no luck.

Try completely shutting down your Safari app, double click the home button to open the multi-task window then hold your finger on the app until it starts to wiggle and a red minus sign show up in the left corner tap the red minus sign to close it. They try to login.

How can I keep Firefox from saving my my last visited websites, even after I log out and Force Quit?

I quit and Force Quit Firefox when I log out of my MacBook Pro. Lately when I re-start Firefox, it has saved my last few visited websites and asks me if I'd like to restore these, or quit. How can I get Firefox to stop saving these sites and really quit?

hello, this is currently a problem in firefox when you first close all open firefox windows and then close the application afterwards - the bug should be addressed in a later version of firefox.
as a workaround in the meanwhile you could close firefox (through firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash'''. double-click it and change its value to '''false'''.

Firefox stops loading websites (even after configuring about:config)

I have FireFox 8 installed, and it always stops loading websites. I've read this thread:

And I followed the chosen solution by "archeocyathan" that is in this thread, and I went to about:config and changed the "max-connections" from 96 to 48.
When I change the "max-connections" - it works fine but only for a few minutes, and then the settings go back again to 96 and I have to change them again.
Questions:
1) Why is that?
2) Is there any way to FORCE about:config to stay with "max-connections" on 48 ? I looked online for ways to save it, but I understand once you make changes they are saved - so why it always changes back from 48 to 96?
3) Any way you can help out with it?
It's FireFox 8 as I mentioned, the latest version of FireFox ... I even uninstalled my Antivirus and nothing worked so far.

The current default of the network.http.max-connections pref in Firefox 8 on Windows should be 48

QuickTime not working even after reinstall

For some reason QuickTime is not working in Safari 5 for a page on my website even after a reinstall of QT 7.6.6
Yet for Firefox 3.6.6 it is.
I added an extension ("Deanimator") for Safari 5 a few days ago, but then removed it soon afterwards.
There is a chance this extension may be the culprit because even Firefox had QT disabled so I had to reactivate it.
Unfortunately I don't see any easy way to simply reactive QT for Safari (and as I said... I did reinstall QT 7.6.6 and restart my computer).
Any ideas? Is there something simple I am missing?
FWIW... HERE (click) is the webpage that works for Firefox but not Safari.
It is normally a popup window so it will be way off center when the link above is clicked on... but you get the idea...

Strange indeed since if my very first link in my first post is clicked on (while using Firefox 3.6.6 or Camino 2.0.3) the simple animation displays.
I did open the .mov file in QT and I agree it does not animate for me either in this fashion.
I had not viewed this page, or .mov file, in some time and when I last looked (many versions back on both QT and Safari) there was no problem.
Again... very strange that it would animate in Firefox and Camino since when directly opened in QT it does not.

Lion no longer includes Java by default. This is a good thing, as Java has become a huge security risk lately. If you just need to load this site for fun, I'd advise against it. Java simply isn't worth the risk. However, if you really need or want to load that site, just go to the Utilities folder, which is in the Applications folder, and try to open the Java Preferences app. You will be asked if you want to install Java... choose to do so.
Note that, even after you have installed Java, Lion will disable it if you don't use Java for about 30 days. (Again, a security feature.) You can re-enable it in Java Preferences.

Well, i haven't accessed my itunes account for more than 7 months because my old computer was dropped and it broke. Now i finally got a new laptop. You mean the Apple Mail app? Updated through software Update in the Apple Menu?.
Or maybe you downloaded Mail from another source?

If you're only getting the authorisation alert on one track on the album, that suggests the track is damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
