Could not load servlet information from web server

I am trying to register a servlet through the web object manager.
As soon as click the web object manager menu pick I get the following
error: Could not load servlet information from web server.
On other peoples machines here it works fine and they can register
servlets. What am I missing!

You must be using Jdev 3.2.x, this is a known bug. In Jdev 9.0.2 we use the standard J2EE web.xml in order to register servlets. You should consider moving to the new IDE.

  • Siri could not download required information from the server

    I'm getting the message "siri could not download required information from the server". I haven't been able to use SIRI for 5 days. Does anyone know an answer?
    I've tried turning SIRI off, rebooting, and turning it back on. You know, the old PC approach.
    I have an excellent WI-FI connection.

    Not an answer but I do know if I do not have a good internet connection (3G or WiFi) I get that same error. Has always cleared up for me once that was resolved.

  • ITunes could not load dataclass information from sync services

    I'm getting this message every time i'm connecting my iPhone with my mac. When i try to sync it i get this message:
    iTunes could not backup the iPhone “iPhone” because the backup session failed.
    I've tried deleting all my old backups and a manual backup as hinted here but with no luck... any tips?

    Re-install iTunes over your current installation from this link:

  • TS4079 Receiving the:  retrieval failed "Siri could not download required information from the server."

    I am currently connected to the internet over wifi and also tried a 4G signal.  I have confirmed that locations services are on both under settings for Siri and under location services.  I have turned the phone off and on.  I have closed and reopened the program.  I have even tried turning location services off for a minute and turning them back on.
    Every suggestion I have found here, I have tried.
    I don't know if this is related or not - but there is not a version number listed under Siri Settings.  Could the app not have properly installed from the manufacturer?
    Please HELP!!

    It works now.
    I went to settings, General, network, wi-fi and conected to my network.

  • Suddenly getting UserNotFoundException: User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database

    Starting yesterday (I believe) we are suddenly receiving a "User not found" error when trying to view a user's profile page when clicking on their name (in search or elsewhere) via the url
    https://www.contoso.org/Person.aspx?accountname=contoso%255Cmyuserlogin
    This is happening for all users. (but profiles exist and seem ok, and sync with AD is running fine) When looking in the logs I see the error  (full ULS log is later below)
    Exception in LoadRequestedUserProfile: (Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserNotFoundException: User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database.
    The only clue of what MAY be going on is just before that I see the following two lines which came up after I changed the Database logging to Verbose:
    ConnectionString: 'Data Source=INSTANCE;Initial Catalog=UPAPROFILEDB;Integrated Security=True;Enlist=False;Pooling=True;Min Pool Size=0;Max Pool Size=100;Connect Timeout=15;Application Name=SharePoint[w3wp][3][UPAPROFILEDB]'    Partition:
    NULL ConnectionState: Closed ConnectionTimeout: 15
    SQL connection time: 0.0456 for Data Source=INSTANCE;Initial Catalog=UPAPROFILEDB;Integrated Security=True;Enlist=False;Pooling=True;Min Pool Size=0;Max Pool Size=100;Connect Timeout=15;Application Name=SharePoint[w3wp][3][HNet3_Svc_Prod_UPA_Profile]
    If I am reading that correctly, does it mean the connection to the database is timing out instantly? I am able to use powershell to pull up profiles and print them to the screen while on the webservers. And it's only the one specific page that is not
    working.
    What sort of tests or further debugging can I do for the error above?
    We are on premise, SharePoint 2013 sp1, sql2012, server 2012, claims using the full SharePoint Profiile Sychronization against AD.  Farm has been running since last august. Last week the admin team did run windows update on all servers, I can't be sure
    if it was broken for 5 days and no one noticed or if it broke yesterday.
    I already did the following:
    Verified the profiles do exist in central admin.
    I can still access their personal sites directly via
    https://www.contoso.org/personal/myuserlogin
    I checked the ProfileDB database and made sure the service accounts for the UPA has dbowner, so does the farm account, and the web application pool has SPDataAccess.
    Verified the AD sync account has proper rights in AD.
    I reran a full synchronization which ran with no errors.
    File systems on the webservers and appserver have plenty of free space.
    Rebooted every server in farm
    I even checked the bin directory of the mysite webapplication, (since once I had a weird problem where access to bin was removed.) WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG_W4 have full control and WSS_WPG,IIS_IUSRS all have read and execute.
    I opened powershell on the webserver I can indeed load profiles and print their values.

  • Google cloud print for officejet pro 8600 - could not get printer information from hp.

    I just purchased a new OfficeJet Pro 8600 today. Everything seems to work great except for the connector to Google Cloud Print. I can print from AirPrint, as well as emails to the hpeprint.com address, but when I try to register via the google site, I receive the "could not get printer information from HP" error message.
    The printer is connected via wireless ethernet, and seems to work find otherwise. I have no restrictions on who can send print jobs, and I have changed the email address for hpeprint.com a few times, as suggested in other forum threads, but it can never connect to the the Cloud Print service. I am at the latest firmware level listed on the HP website. I have tried to initiate the connection from multiple PC's as well as multiple web browsers.
    This was a big factor in purchasing this printer. Help anyone?
    This question was solved.

    Hey rch33k, I am sorry for the ongoing issue that you are having accessing Google Cloud Print. This is being looked into as this is not a singular issue and is affecting other customers as well.  Engineers are currently investing this problem to try and provide a solution to it.  I want to again apologize and thank you all for your patience in this matter.  They only other thing to attempt at this time is to contact Google for further assistance to see if anything can be done on their end. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly

  • Google cloud print "could not get printer information from hp"

    As of today google cloud print has stopped working with my laser jet pro. I started getting an error message that "hp eprint is unavailable at this time". I decided to remove my hp printer from google cloud print. I haven't been able to add it back in since. Every time I try to verify the printer with google cloud print I get the error message "could not get printer information from hp". Everything seems to be configured properly as far as I can tell. I even removed the printer from hp connected and readded the printer and have changed my printers email address. Help please! I am on Chrome OS and this is the only option I have to print.

    The issue just kind of resolved itself today and I was able to add the printer. I'm assuming it was some kind of server issue on hp's end because I haven't changed anything since yesterday.

  • Safari cannot open RSS feeds - "could not load any data from this location"

    I can't seem to open any RSS feeds inside of Safari. I get this error message:
    Safari can’t open the page “feed://feeds.macworld.com/macworld/all” because it could not load any data from this location.
    This has happened on every single feed. I just installed Leopard. Anybody have any hints for me?

    Hi
    First try Safari from another User Account. When you open Safari, make sure RSS is enabled in the Safari Preferences>RSS. If you can access the feeds there then there may be corruption in either the database or RSS preference files in your Regular User Account. If no go here, then I suggest you reinstall Safari. See this thread for directions.
    If the feeds work in the other user account, go back to your regular User Account: Open the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Syndication folder. Move the database3 file to the desktop, then restart Safari. Try an RSS feed. If no change, move the database file back to its original location.
    Then move these two preference files in your User Library>Preferences to the desktop:
    com.apple.SyndicationAgent.plist and
    com.apple.Syndication.plist
    Restart Safari. Again, try a feed.

  • UI Customisation Error - Could not load type ~.PlumHandler from assembly portal50

    Setting up the .Net development portal for UI customisation (5.0.1). I get a clean build but when I try to run the portal I get the following error.
    Server Error in '/portal' Application. <HR noShadeIZE=1>
    Configuration ErrorDescription: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Could not load type com.plumtree.portaluiinfrastructure.activityspace.PlumHandler from assembly portal50.Source Error:

    Line 13:                                    type="com.plumtree.portaluiinfrastructure.activityspace.PlumHandler,portal50" />
    Line 14:                  </httpHandlers>
    Source File: C:\Program Files\plumtree\ptportal\5.0\webapp\portal\web.config[b] Line: 12
    <HR noShadeIZE=1>
    Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:1.0.3705.288; ASP.NET Version:1.0.3705.288
    Looking in class viewer there is no com.plumtree.portaluiinfrastructure.activityspace.PlumHandler class in the com.plumtree.portaluiinfrastructure.activityspace. Is there a class file missing ?

    Quick fix: Add the file "PlumHandler.cs" (found in the root of your portal webapp directory) to your portal50 project.
    Proper fix: You should not be recompiling the entire UI and redeploying it, which is what you are doing (or you would not get that error).
    You should create a new project, compile only the classes you want to modify into a new Assembly DLL file, add that new DLL to the webapp bin directory, and add that Assembly name to the CustomActivitySpaces.xml config file. (It should have the same format as ActivitySpaces.xml file.)
    That way, you will not overwrite or delete standard portal classes, and you will also find it much easier to upgrade or apply patches in the future.

    Hi,
    Ram,
    I checked the files in the respective folders.
    As you said, i have the files placed in the folders.
    It gave me the same error.
    I am using 9i Developer. When i open files from my projects, it is asking me, whether this needs to be added as a business object. When i say ok, it says unable to add to the business objects as specified. Not sure if this something that is causing the issue.

  • Tomcat6 does not load class files from WEB-INF/lib/myjarfile.jar  WHY???

    I have placed my jar file in c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\lib\myjarfile.jar
    But, after restarting tomcat6, when i try to import the class file contained in the myjarfile.jar in a servlet, it says
    ProcessFileUpload.java:4: package test.test1 does not exist
    import test.test1.*;
    ^It clearly tomcat's class loading problem.
    As i unzipped my jar and placed the packagefolder structure to
    c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\classes\testand it works perfectly.
    Anyone knows its workaround? please suggest if any configuration changes is required in tomcat or so.
    Thanks.

    Thank you gimbal2 . There was error in creating the jar file myjarfile.jar.
    But, now I have created it again and placed it in place
    c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\lib\myjarfile.jarand tried to use one on the Class file included within the jar to compile my servlet. But, still I am getting error at servlet compilation time. I want to place executable jar files in
    c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\lib\myjarfile.jar and compile my servlet and execute the servlet.
    I DO NOT WANT TO unzip the jar, placing all unzipped files to
    c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\classes\ folder and comiple my servlet and execute the servlet. But, I am failing to user WEB-INF\lib\ folder facility....please help me why i am not getting class files from WEB-INF\lib\ folder.
    If you please see the small code bit and tell me any possible error that would be very helpful.
    Step 1: my library java file MyClass.java
    package test.test1;
    public class MyClass {
         String myName = "Default return string value";
         public void setMyName(String varName) {
              this.myName = varName;
         public String getMyName() {
              return this.myName;
    }Step2 : Creating jar file of my library class files
    C:\jdk1.6\bin>jar cvf myjarfile.jar test
    added manifest
    adding: test/(in = 0) (out= 0)(stored 0%)
    adding: test/test1/(in = 0) (out= 0)(stored 0%)
    adding: test/test1/MyClass.class(in = 452) (out= 296)(deflated 34%)
    adding: test/test1/MyClass.java(in = 230) (out= 140)(deflated 39%)
    C:\jdk1.6\bin>Step3 : Double checking the created jar file content by listing its content
    C:\jdk1.6\bin>jar tf myjarfile.jar
    META-INF/
    META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
    test/
    test/test1/
    test/test1/MyClass.class
    test/test1/MyClass.java
    C:\jdk1.6\bin>Step4 : Placed myjarfile.jar to
    c:\tomcat6\webapps\my-application\WEB-INF\lib\Step5 : Restarted standalone Tomcat6 in my Windows XP SP2.
    Step6 : Created a simple servlet LibFolderTest.java within my-application\WEB-INF\classes\ folder with code
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import test.test1.*;
    public class LibFolderTest extends HttpServlet {
         public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
              response.setContentType("text/html");
              PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
              MyClass mc = new MyClass();
              out.println(mc.getMyName());
    }Step7 : Tried to compile my servlet LibFolderTest.java and got the following error
    LibFolderTest.java:4: package test.test1 does not exist
    import test.test1.*;
    ^
    LibFolderTest.java:11: cannot find symbol
    symbol  : class MyClass
    location: class LibFolderTest
                    MyClass mc = new MyClass();
                    ^
    LibFolderTest.java:11: cannot find symbol
    symbol  : class MyClass
    location: class LibFolderTest
                    MyClass mc = new MyClass();
                                     ^
    3 errorsThe above servlet compilation error on Step7 is telling me that myjarfile.jar is not loaded by Tomcat6 or not available for use when compiling servlet. I want to use myjarfile.jar from within WEB-INF\lib\ folder but I can not. please help.

  • Network adapter could not establish a connect from external server

    hi,
    I've set up a jdbc thin driver properly using
    the following input:
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@ipaddress:1521:DBname",
    "username", "password"
    When outside users try to connect externally (outside the network) there is a different ipaddress. Although they are able to ping,
    telnet, run jsp etc... using the external address, they get the following error when they try the thin driver connection:
    i/o exception: network adapter could not establish a connection
    They change the ipaddress in the connection string to match the external ip. We are using oracle 8i, JRun on Linux. I have a feeling it has something to do with the tnsnames.ora file but I can't be sure.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

    this is expected behavior ...
    the jdbc thin driver requires the use of an ip address that the calling program has acces to ...
    internally you have one ip address exposed.
    apparently you have another ip address set up for the external customer.
    fyi
    jdbc thin driver don'ts use the tnsnames.ora file -- they use "host:port:sid" because they are required to be platform independent and not access local datafiles or environment variables on the execution platform.
    jdbc oci drivers do use tnsnames.ora which provides the host:port:sid info in their entries.

  • HT201412 My new 4S phone:"Siri could not download required info from the server." What does that mean and how can I get it to work?

    Just got the 4S. I cannot get Siri to work. It says it cannot retrieve info from the server. What does that mean and how can I fix it to use it?

    Siri always contacts her own server at apple. They may be performing maintenance or applying updates, should be back soon.

  • I just got an iphone 4 but the software is upgraded on it. Siri says "Could not download required information from server"

    How do I fix This?

    If you have a 4 and not a 4S, then the Siri app has been disabled.  Currently Siri is built into the 4S and functions only on the 4S.
