Could someone please explain the difference between Projects Intelligence and Projects Analytics?
Thanks,

Older iPads got 3G service and were called Wi-Fi + 3G. Newer iPads can connect to faster cellular networks and those are given different names by the major carrier so to simplify things Apple calls the newer models Wi-Fi + Cellular.
iPads with 3G or Cellular are NOT used like a mobile phone. They do not make phone calls or send SMS or MMS text messages, They do connect to the data network and can connect to the web.

I need to set up video conferences with multiple users but i understand this can be done with skype premium as well. If i understood correctly 1 user can have premium and call the other users on skyp video conference, allowing all teh callers to be on video conference, is this correct?
If so, what is the advantage of getting skype manager (for business)

    Hi, All,
I am learning Skype Manager: this system allows a user to create accounts and to manage resources allocated to those accounts, such as credit and subscriptions.  Skype Connect, on the other hand, is a PBX phone system add-on.
There are links to contact Skype for information within these website pages, however I do not recall as I draft this message exactly where those links are.
    Skype Manager:  http://www.skype.com/intl/en/business/skype-manager/
    Skype Connect: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/business/skype-connect/
Skype Business offerings in general: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/business/#t_overview
The principal difference between Skype Premium and Skype Manager is that Premium is a subscription purchased by an individual user for their own use. http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/premium/
Skype Manager offers the facility to purchase subscriptions and set up accounts for the benefit of many Skype accounts/users.
Hope this helps at least a little.
    Best regards,
    Elaine

  • Could someone please explain the difference

between Back Up and Restore from Backup @iTunes?  I'd like to know which to do regularly and the recommended frequency for doing so.
    Many thanks.

A backup is a snapshot file with all of the data on your device at the time that the backup was created.
Restoring from a backup is putting the snapshot back onto your device from a point in time.
When you create a backup, you basically take picture of everythign in your iPhone and save it in iCloud or iTunes. When you restore a backup, you recreate that picture in your iPhone in a sense.

The KN/A number indicates its the Danish sold version of the iPad.
While B/A is the UK version.
They will be the same internally and functionally.

  • Could someone tell me the differences between ipod 4g released in January and the new iPod 4g released other than iOS5 ?

I just bought an iPod touch from NewEgg which said it was the latest iPod. When I opened it, I couldn't find iMessage. So when I checked the version, it was 4.3.5. Just want to know the differences between both iOS5 and earlier one, other than of course the OS. Wondering whether to return it or upgrade the OS to iOS5.

The OS really is the only different thing.
An iPod Touch 4th generation will still be an iPod Touch 4th generation no matter what OS you have running on it.
If you want to know more of the feature of iOS 5 then you can check here: http://www.apple.com/ios/.
You also don't need to return the product if you want the latest OS. You can do it yourself through iTunes.

  • Can someone explain the difference between photos app and iphoto for iphone?

I recently downloaded the iphoto app to my iPhone 4s. I am hoping to clear up some space on my iphone and I deleted some pics from what I thought was the camera roll within iphoto. I noticed later that while attempting to change my wallpaper, I noticed that pics I thought I deleted were still on the phone as evidenced by their availability to be used as wallpaper. I checked that I had selected cameral roll and not photostream, where it would make sense the photos would still be there. When I left settings I noticed that I have iphoto and the phots app on my iphone. Do I need both? And if i want to delete photos, do I need to delete photos from the cameral roll within iphoto AND the photos app???? I really need someone to make sense of all this photo business!

The "Photos" application is built into the phone and is meant only for viewing and making small edits (crop, auto-enhance, etc.) to photos in your Camera Roll and other photos synced onto your phone via iTunes.
iPhoto for iOS is a new application which is meant to allow you to organize your photos, share them via sideshows or "journals" and make mode substantial edits (contrast, brightness, sharpness, photo effects, etc.)
Keep in mind that iPhoto or any other app from the App Store does not have the ability to delete photos from your Camera Roll. What you did is probably hit the x icon which hides the photo from your iPhoto library but it remains in your Camera Roll. To delete photos, they must be deleted from the Photos app. Oce they are deleted from your Camera Roll they will no longer show up in iPhoto.

    Hi Vivek,
    Please see if it explains.

    LM_128K_DAT_01     65536      6144     59392 91 %  Sample Output of query2
    ===============
    TABLESPACE_NAME                   SIZE_GB    FREE_GB
    LM_8M_IDX_01                            4     2.8125
    CDCRPT_IDX                            4.5 4.22113037
    MDM_DAT                         .98828125 .538330078
    XDB                                   .25 .203491211
    SYSTEM                             .78125 .243713379
    LM_128K_DAT_01                          6 3.96582031
    CPM_DAT                        5.37109375 .469665527
CPM_IDX                           6.59375 2.86303711Your 1st query will hold true only for datafiles which are AUTOEXTENSIBLE, because the table SYS.FILEXT$ holds entry for those file_ids (datafiles) which has AUTOEXTENSIBLE as YES in DBA_DATA_FILES. If all your datafiles of all tablespaces are AUTOEXTENSIBLE (YES), then you should get entry like
    CPM_DAT 10240 5500 4740 46 %.
Now, maxspace is calculated as sum((((8192*maxextend)/1024)/1024)) from table SYS.FILEXT$. maxextend signifies the maximum number of blocks that a file_id (datafile) can extend upto. That is, as the datafile is AUTOEXTENSIBLE, it has been allocated a minimum extend initially and then it can INCREMENT BY some particular EXTENTs until it reach MAX EXTENTS. So, this maxentend denote the same. Now if your database is using 8K block size (show parameter DB_BLOCK_SIZE), then we can get the maximum size of the datafile it can grow upto by using 8192*maxextend, and converted to MB (/1024/1024).
USEDSPACE and SIZE_GB calculated sam way using SUM(BYTES) from dba_data_files, just one is in MB and another in GB.
FREESPACE in 1st query is calculated as MAXSPACE - USEDSPACE, that is, space available for the file_id(datafile) to grow until reached maxextend. That is, we can guarantee that the datafile will not throw error until this value is reached and can be used out of the operating system disk space. It doesn't signify the free space for the datafile available in DB. FREE_GB in 2nd query signifies that.
    % FREE is usual.
    Thanks,
    Tapan

  • Could someone please explain the syncing process? I have duplicated contacts on my phone and don't know anything about syncing. I appreciate your help.

I'm a new Apple convert. I synced my iPhone4 with iTunes library and not correctly, so ended up with each contact repeating from 4 to 8 times on my phone. I also lost some music from my iPhone's iPod due to this syncing. Would you please help guiding through the syncing process and what's the easiest way to delete these duplicates? Thank you.

To get rid of the dupliate contacts try this:
Set up your contacts on your computer as desired. Make sure that autosync is disabled in iTunes/Settings/Devices. Then connect your phone, click on it in the device list, choose the info pane on the right side, move down to the Advanced section and choose "replace all contact info on the phone" This will overwrite the contacts on your phone with the ones from your computer address book.
After that your contacts should be syncing fine.
Syncing is explained here: Overview of syncing iPhone or iPod touch with your computer

  • Can someone explain the difference between Boot Camp and Fusion 3?

I just purchased a 13" MBP. I here users are installing Win7 on their MBP. I've read Apple has not offically said they are supporting Win7. Some people tell me that you can run Win7 in a Window while running MAC OS. Other people tell me you can boot to either Mac OS or Win7. So my question is...is Boot camp the same app as Fusion? Why would you run Win7 in a Window under MAC OS? Do you have to install all your Win Apps within the Win7 window?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I've been a PC user for most of my career life. This is the first time I've ever purchased a Mac. First it was the iPhone, not the MAC.
    Thanks,

is Boot camp the same app as Fusion?
    No.
Why would you run Win7 in a Window under MAC OS?
To switch between the different OSes very easily.
Do you have to install all your Win Apps within the Win7 window?
They need to be installed inside Windows.

  • Could someone please explain the benifits of a servlet to an applet?

I am looking to make a web page that maintains student data.
    1. I want parents to be able to log on and interact with the page.
    2. I want information to be saved to the server.
    3. I would like multiple people to be able to use the sight at the same time.
    4. I would want the servelet to be able to both save and read text files to the server without having to deal with JDBC and a DATABASE language.
Is any or all of this possible with a servlet?
If not what is the most simplistic route to my goal. Being a teacher my time is limited, sorry if i sound lasy.
    Thank you,

  • Please explain the relationship between sequence setting and output

I am looking for an explanation of the sequence setting and the output settings (Mac Quad core, 10.7.4 - CS6 Production Premium, PR)  I am primarily working in AVC-I 100 and XDCam. I've found that I can drop in AVC-I into a Seq and it will set the Seq to that codec. Many times I'll need to send the in-progress and final edits to my clients as an WMV (HD) video file. In FCP, I would export the self contained seq and use Episode to transcode to wmv. I'm having trouble understanding the best way to do this in PR (CS6).  I've found that if I leave the Seq setting to the AVC-I, the render and the file output is a 50% quality mpeg-I. Is it best to set up a custom sequence w/ ProRes as the render codec? I'm having a hard time finding or getting an explanation of best practices for this type of operation. Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    jim

Remember I said you could force Pr to use your rendered preview files instead of the source media for export?  Selecting Match Sequence Settings in the Export Media dialog is how you force it.  Don't do that.  And don't shoot the messenger -- I've lobbied against that label for that control for 2 versions now.
Some Export formats, like H.264 Blu-ray and MPEG2-DVD, have an available Preset called "Match Source Attributes".  If you choose that Preset, you get something like this:
