Country of Origin based on Storage Location

Hi all,
i would like to understand if the country of origin in the delivery document at the line item level (EIPO_HERKL) to default based on the storage location. even if the COO is available in the material master.
we had tried using user exits but were not successful in updating the same for a domestic delivery.

it is the storage location used by a plant at India belongs to
a different country which is closer to india.
Sorry for misunderstanding but still the case is even worse. You should be aware storage location is always assigned to a delivering plant and you have to take the help of ABAPer by implementing a suitable exit to achieve this peculiar requirement.

You need Append the structure for the UM Datasources and you write the code and can retrieve based on STOR_LOC.
BTW, are you not using Datasource BF-Material movements for Inventory?

When creating a purchase order (ME21N) I need to determine the cost center based on storage location. How can I solve this problem?
If the solution goes through creating an USER EXIT, please, have in mind that my knowledge about ABAP is really poor.

How to control print-out in GI Slip based on storage location

Hi Experts,
Presently my smartform - GI Slip is giving print out for each line item. But the requirement is: no. of print out will depend on no. of storage location, independent of line item. Since GI Slip is a collective slip hence its showing same details for each line item. The print out are first taken from MB1A and then MB90 is for reprocessing.
How can I control the no. of printouts based on storage location
Please help me in this issue...

You have to modify your driver program,
Ex: Loop at < internal table>
AT NEW <storage location>
<New-page>
End at.
End loop.
The above syntax will help you to close the issue.

Purchase Requisition Authorization based on Storage Location

Hi MM Gurus,
Our client has got a specific requirement to control the security of purchase requsition creation, change and release based on the storage locations. We have found the authorization object M_BANF_LGO which is to restrict the access of PR based on storage location in purchase requsitions.
The issue is the purchase requsition BAPI does not check this authorization object as per standard SAP.
Does anyone know how to handle the security of purchase requsition based on storage location?
FYI - Our PR release strategy is at item level and not at document level.

Thank you for the reply. In case of purchase requsition for cost center, you can still enter the value of storage location. The storage location comes into picture when the goods receipts are posted against this purchase. However, the storage location value can be entered at PR level.
We have storage location field as "Required" field in all purchase requsitions as there is only one plant and each storage location represents the division.

I am having exactly the same requirement. My requirement is that i need to split one Sale Order line into multiple line items in delivery based on the stock in a particular storage location at the time of delivery creation.
Eg.
Line item 10 in Sale order for quantity 100.
Storage location stock in the priority
ST01 = 40
ST02 = 25
ST03 = 2000
I wish to have 3 line items in delivery like
Line item           Storage Location             Qty
10                     ST01                                40
20                     ST02                                25
30                     ST03                                35
I was able to do the same in the BADI LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC ~ SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
But i am facing problems regarding the inconsistency in delivery document such as Picking status update etc
Suggest if there is any better method to do.

A Cost center cannot be determined from an SLOC..it si always at the company code and valuation aea level

Profit centre at storage location level

Hi Experts,
Can we define a profit centre @ storage location level?
My scenario :
The document splitting of FI is activated for the document type of FI and also the profit centre is mandatory entry for any accounting document that will be created so when I am trying to post a MIGO I encounter the error
"Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled"
We have a option of maintaining a profit centre in plant data/storage location but i will be updated in the profit centre field of Costing1 view . But we does not want to upadate in costing view of material master data.
Basically We want the system to determine profit centre based on storage location in Goods reciept transaction .
Helpful Sugestions on this would be helpful & rewarded max .

Our Enterprise Structure of our Client is as follows
One company code is assigned to one plant and we have treated all the branches across India as Storage locations.Each Branch (Storage Location- MM) is configured as Profit centres in FICO.The goods are procured for a storage location.
By using the functionality of document splitting, the profit center field is made mandatory for all the accounting documents generated in the system. Now we are trying to post a goods receipt against a Purchase Order, the system is giving error "Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled"
The option is there to maintain a profit center at the plant level.But we have several storage locations under the plant and each storage location has to be linked with the particular profit center. So that, while doing goods receipt the system should determine profit centre based on the storage location in purchase orders.
Please suggest on this.

Creation of PO only for one particular storage location

May be u can add particular storage location in <b>personal setting</b> so that for all PO it will be picked as default storage location.
system will propose storage location at the time of GR based on storage location maintained in Material master

As per our business process there are one company and in which many plants and storage location are available. In which many materials are available in different plant in different storage location.
As per SAP Standard structure: -
Company >> Company code1 & Company code2... >> Plant 1 & Plant 2 & Plant 3 .... >> Storage location 1 & 2 & 3........
And in all plant and storage location have different data.
Suppose in one plant we do quality testing for material and it may be possible in other plant we not perform quality testing for material. So in this case for same material quality data is different for different plants.
Client Level: - Means data is same for all plant level like Basic data
Plant Level: - Means data is based on plant level like Purchasing, Plant data, Quality data, Accounting view.
Storage location level: - Means data is based on storage location level, for different storage location data will be different like Storage location stock data ..
Due to this you can maintain different data on plant level & storage location level.

Stock report based on stock type with a storage location

Is there a standard SAP report that will give me the stock information based on the storage location and stock type (unrestricted, QI, blocked, etc?)...for instance if I want to find all QI stock in a certain plant/storage location? I want it to show a list of materials and their quantities, not on an individual basis as in MMBE.

Thanks again for your response. I've used your last mentioned method before but with MMBE you have to enter a material number. We want a report of all materials in a particular stock type.
I was able to achieve this by goign to MB52 and setting up a filter on a layout. My users can now select that filter on the selection screen to get the desired result.

Default SC Plant Company code and Storage location Based on Position

Hi All,
We are on version SRM 7.02.
We are using SAP ECC R/3 EHP7 based system as a back end FI and HR system.
Org structure in SRM is replicated fromm HR system.
We have case of concurrent employment in the HR org structure , which means one USER can be assigned to multiple Positions in an org structure.
We have a user A , who is created in Two different org units say O1 , O2 occupying positions P1 and P2, belonging to company code C1 and C2.
Whenever a SC is created a custom enhancement shows all the user positions to him and he has to choose one from the list of positions.
Now based on the selected position(P1) , i have to default plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) and Company code(C1).
Even after defaulting attributes based on the position, user gets an error "company code C1 is not valid for user"
This error (Message class : /SAPSRM/CLL ; # 135) is thrown from method : /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_DODM_SC_I_BD /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_MAPPER~UPDATE
after getting user's Company code using following method.
/sapsrm/cl_pdo_shared_user=>/sapsrm/if_pdo_shared_user~get_company_code
This gets Company code as C2 ; Based on Users Attributes and not based on User Position attributes.
If i overwrite values fetched by this method in Implicit enhancement, then plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) are not getting fetched.
Does anyone have any solution for this problem?

Customs Duties based on Country of Origin in the PO

Hello,
I would like to seek your help on pricing conditions in the PO.
We have created an access sequence for customs duty condition type ZOB1, and we used the key combination delivering country, commodity code, and the country of origin. We cannot maintain the country of origin in the material master because it is only known upon PO creation. The condition type ZOB1 is supposed to read the country of origin in the PO. Instead, the country of origin in the material master is what's being populated in KOMP-HERKL, which is the field catalog we used as part of the access sequence/condition table.
We would like the system to get the customs duties based on the country of origin entered in the PO and not the one in the material master.
Is this possible? Has any of you tried to modify the values in the structure KOMP before PO prices are determined by the system based on the access sequence?
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lakshmipathi,
So far we are encountering 2 incorrect deliveries in production. This does not involve Sales order but Purchase Order. I tried to check the country of the Supplying Plant and the country is not the country reflected in the delivery. It is expected that the country of the supplying plant must reflect in the delivery. Checking the PO, it is not also getting the correct country but it is getting the country of the receiving plant. We got confused why it is getting the country of the receiving plant.
