Cover art wrong on phone, but correct on computer?

I just recently got the iPhone 5c, and when I went synced all my music onto the phone, half of the cover art for my albums were wrong. I've deleted songs off the iPhone and tried resyncing many times. But they just keep showing up in the wrong places. Also, when I open iTunes, many of the albums I've bought are grayed out and I have to redownload them from my phone. I don't know if that could contribute to this issue. But does anyone have any idea how I could fix this? I'm beginning to feel a tad helpless.

i'm having a similar problem, but even with songs I didn't edit in the genre view. For example, Nate Dogg's "Regulate" from the Above the Rim Soundtrack is still classified as "Soundtrack" in my iTunes Library. However, it shows up in the "Classical" genre on my iPhone. Similarly, tracks from an old 2005 iTunes New Music Compliation Sampler show up in my "Classical" library on my iPhone, even though it is labeled as "Pop" in my iTunes computer library by Apple.
I wonder if it's a problem with Apple's/iTunes labeling of music, though I can't for the life of me figure out why a Pop song labeled as such by iTunes would be showing up in my "Classical" iPhone library.

If you are hosting with Libsyn or most any other "Podcast" host you should be ok.

If you are on a self hosted site or worse yet using some file storage service like Dropbox - then you are going to have issues.
Again - this leter from Apple does not mean anything is wrong wth your show specifically - it is a generic letter going out to all podcasters.

Why doesn't my podcast cover art show in store but appears in iTunes library after I subscribe?

Great, that explains it. We had moved the image to a new URL and actually updated the original feed that we input into Feedburner with that URL ... but we also had Feedburner Smartcast turned on which creates its own iTunes tags and overrides any that may already be in the feed, and the image URL in Smartcast there was the old one.
In any case, we not only updated Feedcast Smartcast with the correct image URL, but we also put a copy of the image at the old URL so that even the URL presently used by iTunes should work.
Any idea how long it takes for the store to update the cover art? Anything we can do to expedite it?

On itunes on my computer I put all my songs into the right albums and cover art on the albums but it doesn't show up that way on my ipod

On itunes on my computer I took the time to sort my songs put them by the correct artists and albums and got all the cover art for it but when i go to put it that way on my iPod it doesn't work that way? Why is it showing multiple albums for the same album and no cover art for some albums and unknown artists for the artist? It says differently on Itunes on my computer.

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

Nano cover art issues (covers loaded, but don't always display)

Just picked up an 8GB Nano yesterday, and while the whole idea of having cover art displayed is nice and all, it doesn't seem to be working correctly. I can load the art just fine, and it displays in the Cover Flow view (after a small delay when loading each one), but when just playing the songs and moving back and forth between them with the next/previous buttons (even within the same album), the album art seems to always disappear after one or two songs, only to be replaced by the increasingly-irritating "music note on a gray square".
Is this a known issue with the 3G Nanos (or iPods in general), or am I looking at a defective unit?

I actually thought of that last night after I posted that, so I did a test:
I played the first song in an album that had cover art present. When I hit the "next track" button, the album art promptly disappeared. I then went back to the previous menu and went straight to the song where the cover art disappeared and selected that one. Once again, hitting the "next track" button made the album artwork disappear.
I'm not a huge fan of iTunes, though, so I've been using Winamp to manage the Nano, especially since I can have Winamp automatically get cover art for songs without having to give it a credit card number.

In iTunes under the Apps tab for the iPhone device just uncheck any app you don't want synced to the phone. When you next sync the app will be removed from the phone but remain in the iTunes library.

I have the same problme. I subscribe to 5 podcasts which are downloaded automically weekly or daily and whilst I have them as 'sync all unplayed episodes only' the played podcsts remain in my iphone rather then being deleted. Hence using up my iphone capacity.
Is there a easy way to remove these from my iphone?

Cover art synchs on Ipod, but music doesn't.

I've purchased a bunch of songs from an Itunes gift card. All the songs loaded onto my G5 as expected. But when I manually synched them onto my Ipod, the album art shows up, but not the music. When I attempt to play the song, the artwork appears for a brief second and then the Ipod jumps to the next song in the cue.
I next downloaded a free song of the week from the Itunes store and the same thing happened. The song loaded, but just the artwork synched.
I've tried to re-synch it over and over and I'm still just getting the album cover, not music. The songs still play on my IMac, but not on the Ipod.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or what could be the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing the tick mark next to Sync Podcasts from under your iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes and applying the changes. Once it has finished, reapply the sync option and again apply the changes to resync your iPod.
This should remove the stranded podcasts.
However, if it doesn't, A restore of the iPod may be in order.

I switched my Apple ID to gmail and that works on my phone and it also shows up correctly when I go to manage my Apple ID. How can I change the iphoto Apple ID in iphoto?

ISync synced iCal calendars to phone but erased from computer. Help!

I performed a sync today to my Motorola E815 cell phone. All of the contacts synced fine but the calendars didn't. All of the calendars from iCal were copied over fine, but the no longer appear in iCal.
Will syncing again copy the calendars back from the phone to the computer or will they erase off of the phone and no copy over. I am scared of losing them altogether. I could reenter them manually but that would take forever. Is there anyway to get my calendars back?
I had performed a backup of iCal a few weeks ago but don't know how to revert to that, plus I have made several changes since then.
What can I do?

If you created the backup using the the option labeled Back up Database… under the File menu in iCal, then restoring that data is as easy as choosing the option labeled Revert to Database Backup… directly beneath it. If you used another means, restoration might be a little more complex. It depends entirely upon what you originally chose to to, as a restoration is effectively a reversal of this process.
In any event, to restore the information on your mobile handset to iCal, you should reset the synchronization framework by…
• launching iSync
• opening the Preferences… dialog
• pressing the Reset Sync History… button and following the instructions which appear
You can achieve the same effect by removing your device from iSync and then adding it back. The key is to select the option to Merge the data in iCal with your mobile handset, rather than to Replace the data on your mobile handset with the data stored in iCal, which is presently empty.
If you do first successfully restore iCal and elect to merge your data, it will recognize equivalent records and merge them, and will add the records which differ on either device to the other.
The key to a successful outcome is to proceed slowly and deliberately, follow any instructions which occur, and ponder the likely outcome as you move forward. Generally speaking, you can stop at any point and back out of the process without affecting your data, though once you have reset or removed and then added back your device, the framework will eventually have to accommodate this change, and will perform a full, slow synchronization the next time you try to synchronize. Again, at that point if you cancelled earlier, you will have to elect to merge rather than replace data.

How can I delete e-mails on my iphone without deleting them in my computer?

I think it is supposed to, it doesn't make any sense to limit it just to calendars and contacts.
When I delete on the iPhone, it goes to the trash can, and that also updates on the cloud when I log into me.com. But for some reason, it still retains a copy of it in the inbox, effectively ignoring the delete on the iPhone.
So I end up with 2 copies of the e-mail, the original one in the inbox, and one in the trash can. It seems to copy it there rather than move/delete it.
There's definitely something wrong with mobile me IMO. I hope it gets fixed real soon.

Apple ID problem on phone but not on computer

I changed my Apple ID but whenever I try to access my apps,Itunes,email on my Iphone, it tells me I need to sign in with my old Apple ID, I couldn't remember my old Apple ID password, I tried to reset the password, it said it would snd me a new one which it didn't, so I then answered the questions but nothing happens. I'm able to use my new Apple ID and password on my computer to
pull up Itunes and ICloud with no problem, but my phone isn't using the new Apple ID and I don't
know password. HOW DO I GET MY IPHONE TO START USING MY NEW APPLE ID & PASSWORD????

New emoticons on phone but not on computer skype

Why does my phone (Android Galaxy S4) have more emoticons than my computer? While my phone has (poke) and the new movie of Disney, the 5 emoticons and etc, my computer does not have those. Why is that the phone has more? and yes I have the latest update.

Phones, other devices or OSs carry their own set of emoticons supported by their OS. They do not originate from Skype. So another galaxy S4 or similar device owner may see those emotes but other machines will only see their text equivalent.

What im wondering is if i can transfer songs back to the computer. Random songs on itunes just randomly changed to being unable to locate on itunes. I have searched on the computer for them but cant seem to find them and some were downloaded off of itunes while some were transfered by disc. All the songs missing are scattered around all the devices in the family and i hope that we can get them off of the devices.
