CP 8 Standard project not resizing in IE11

We were testing our projects created in CP8 in IE11 and the project isn't resizing to fit the window. These are standard projects (not responsive) but when we publish them we select the setting to Scalable HTML content. In the past in IE8 the projects did rescale.
Are we missing something?
Has Adobe done something to try and force us into using the responsive project?

Right-click functionality will be lost. And you'll have to be sure that the user has installed Flash Player, because it is no longer embedded in the latest versions of Adobe Reader.

Characters in Standard Template in Project not replaced in new project

Hi. I have created a coding mask : XOG..XXX.XXX.XX/XX-XX.000. With this coding mask I have created a standard wbs template , XOG.XXX.XXX.00/01. Now when I create a new project copying this template with project definition XOG.GRE.ADD.11/06, only the project definition has its characters replaced with the name of the project. The WBS' created still carry the characters in the standard template ie XOG.GRE.XXX.00/01. Is it possible to have the characters of the WBS replaced when creating a new project along side the project definition?

Your Standard Project Definition is XOG.GRE.ADD.00/01 and bellow which you have created WBS element.
i.e.   XOG.GRE.ADD.00/01
        XOG.GRE.ADD.00/01-AB
        XOG.GRE.ADD.00/01-AB.1
Now while copying from std template you have given your new proj definition XOG.GRE.ADD.16/06 and bellow WBS element are getting created so there is no need to change any character before 16/06 because your project definition and 1 level WBS element should be the same.
Still if you want to change ADD with different characters i.e ABC follow the following procedure while creating the project.
1.     In CJ20N click on Copy project and enter your required project definition XOG.GRE.ADD.16/06
2.     Select required project profile
3.     Enter standard project definition XOG.GRE.ADD.00/01
4.     Click on WBS Element overview (F8) instead of OK
5.     Accept the warning messages
6.     Then Click on Replace and give your required characters to replace with i.e ADD to ABC
But this will have your project definition as XOG.GRE.ADD.16/06 and your WBS elements starting with XOG.GRE.ABC.16/06
i.e.   XOG.GRE.ABC.16/06
        XOG.GRE.ABC.16/06--AB
        XOG.GRE.ABC.16/06-AB.1
So there will be mismatch in project definition and WBS element codes. If your business is accepting it then you can create the same, but logically it is not correct.

Components will not resize correctly in Catalyst

I am completely new to Flash Catalyst (any and all versions). I am currently using Photoshop CS5.5 to design and Catalyst 5.5 to import and translate into a flash project. I recently picked up a job creating an interactive application for a college campus. I have attached my two project files for anyone who can help to view to see what is wrong. I have also attached inline screenies for those who cannot/will not download.
Here is my problem: I created the attached PSD in Photoshop with what I thought were the correct layers and groups/folders. I am hoping to achieve the following effect: when a user rolls over the purple buttons, multiple similar copies of that button that are initially hidden beneath the visible one popup in sequence above the rolled over purple button.
Ex. State 1:
Animation/Action Sequence to the following:
The purple popup objects will have their own text content and will be buttons themselves that a user clicks to change to a different state with more specific information.
Not only am I unsure of how to create such animation/action sequence, my purple components (whether I actually convert them to components in Catalyst or not) will not resize correctly. NOTE: I did click the resizable option when importing the PSD into Catalyst. The following effect occurs both ways. I add constraints to all objects by selecting all, right clicking, and choosing add constraints to all; the following occurs when stretched inwards using the resize test handle:

When viewed using CTRL+Enter, the application is nowhere near resized in the browser window. I must be missing something, especially being new to Catalyst. I tried flattening the image in Photoshop, which obviously allowed the image to be easily resizable in Catalyst and the test browser window. However, I cannot use my separate elements when flattened; flattening defeats the purpose of Catalyst if I'm not mistaken.
Any guidance?

Hi Martin - Those are really good questions! I did check and the image is uploaded. I assume I can see the image in my one browser because of the cache since I could not see it on several computers that I had never pulled the site up on before.
And actually I have it working now. Nancy had a good idea to check to see if I saved it as CMYK instead of RGB. When I went to go open the file on my computer Photoshop and Fireworks had an error in opening it. They had a problem opening the one I downloaded from the ftp too. It just looks like somehow the file became corrupted! Not sure how, but that seems like what the problem was since I have a new image up there now and it's working fine again.

Flash paper not resizing in IE

I am loading my flashpaper in a movie clip using the standard
code (
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashpaper/articles/import_flpaper2_03.html).
The flashpaper is located on a different subdomain than the
swf doing the loading, so I added
"System.security.allowDomain([flashpaper.domain.com]);"
The flashpaper loads, but will not resize.
I added some debugging and it looks like the
"getIFlashPaper()" is not able to detect the flash paper.
Works in Firefox, but not in IE.
I wonder is this related to the 9.0.115 relase?
Can anyone provide any info here?

Web object not resizing with presentation

I've added a web object in my elearning and published as a flash presentation. When I resize the browser window, the flash presentation resizes, but the web object does not resize. My users will have various screen sizes, so I need the web object to display proportionally to the project size.
I'm using a flash widget, so I cannot publish as HTML5.

VS open website does not resize

Using VS 2012: I resized fonts to something I can read - 12pt with a 14pt Title Bar. The open website (IIS) does not resize. The buttons are below the bottom of the page. So, I must go to personalize and resize the fonts just to open a website, and then
set them back so I can read it.

According to your description, I suggest you can go to Tools-->Options->Fonts and Colors->Select Environment Font
under Show settings for option-> change the font and size under the Font(bold type indicates fixed-width fonts).
And then you open your website again, you will see the font is resized in the open web site window.

SunJCE compliant to FIPS-140-2 standard or not?

Hi Folks,
I am using encryption/ decryption (DES and AES) in my project .
For that I am using javax.crypto and javax.crypto.spec package and the security provider used is SUNJCE.
Please let me know whether JDK is compliant to the FIPS 140-2 standard or not. If it is compliant , also let me know from which version of JDK onwards it will compliant to that standard.

I search in the google and found that IBM's versions of JSSE and JCE have been FIPS 140-2 certified, and are FIPS 140-2 compliant.
I can see the same in the below link

And I didn't see the SunJCE in the above link and it seems that Sun's versions of JSSE and JCE are not FIPS 140-2 cmpliant.
Also I see the link which you have pointed out in the earlier, it seems JCE of JDK1.6 is compliant to FIPS 140-2.
I am really confused, Please let me know your thoughts on that.

Standard project in fcp

I'm assembling weddings video and I need to know if it's possible to create a standard project to be used every time as base for a new project. If yes, please tell me how I have to do. In this way I will be able to be more fast, I can change some effects, I can change the soundtrack but I can have a solid base to start without lost a lot of time.

I've been using self-created template projects in FCP since 2001. To create a template project file, simply open a new project, import whatever you want; I have Bins preloaded with the typical graphic, still image, audio and Motion files I normally use on projects. I created two Sequences, one named "Main Edit" and the other named "Scratch." On the "Main Edit" Sequence, I have a 1 second black slug, followed by a 15 second Intro movie that I created in Motion, along with a short audio track. That is followed by a short copyright notice, which is followed by another 1 second slug.
On the "Scratch" Sequence I have various Boris Title 3D and Title Crawl text generator clips in the various styles I commonly use as well as a few custom Motion templates that I've made.
After I have everything I need in this project, I save it as "New Project Template" and save a shortcut (alias) on my desktop (I actually have several types of FCP Templates based on the nature of the projects I do, but I've simplified it to use as an example).
Now whenever I have a new project to edit, I open this template. The very first thing I do is a "Save As" and give the project a proper name associated with the client it's for. All the elements I typically use for each project is already in the proper Bin in the Browser or already on the Timeline, ready to go. If I need a title, I can copy the appropriate text generator clip from my Scratch Sequence and paste it to my Main Edit Sequence, then simply change the text as needed. At the beginning of each year, I update the copyright notice on the Timeline to reflect the new year and save the template project file.
Another thing I've always done is to maintain a "Project Elements" folder on my capture scratch drive. In that folder I keep all of my production music, image files, Motion templates and other graphic files that I use less frequently than those I pre-imported into my New Project Template. I keep them organized in sub-folders by type of file, making it very quick and easy to locate for any project in which I might need them. When I do need one, say a graphic file for example, I open it in its editor, make any changes needed for that particular project, then save the altered file as a new file to the project's Capture/Scratch folder. Then I import the new file into the FCP project I'm working on.
It would not make sense to preload your Sequence with video clips and have to reconnect them for each project. Hopefully each of your projects are unique enough that every clip will not be extacly the same duration with the same transitions and filters applied.

Make flv playback exact fit to window project not desktop

hi , first i want to say i use Flash Cs5 - flash player 10 - As3
i want when i click on full screen button on flv playback component my flv player window goes to exact fit my flash window not my desktop or even better if i can set resolution for full screen mode ....
i have strange problem the full screen function not work in any third party flash protection and projector tools ...
finally i found some component that use some As2 script to make full screen button function to exact fit window and it`s interensting cause this flv player works well in test movie mode !!!
as the full screen function in default Flash Cs5 not work in test mode and you must run swf directly from local or run projector ...
i realize that when the full screen function works in flash test movie ( ctrl + enter ) mode it work in another third party tools too ...
i don`t now why but maybe some security reason in As3 dont let it run from test movie and another third party tools ...
what can i do about it ??
how can i write script for my flv playback component to read new function for full screen mode and set it to exact fit window ( project ) not my desktop ( the size of project not chang at all and only flv player resize to my window )

Please first make sure that Mouse Properties\Pointer options\Hide pointer while typing is ticked.
If this option is already ticked, then try following steps to troubleshoot:
Update the driver for the mouse to get the best performance.
Choose a different cursor as Rob said for a test.
If this issue occurred recently, check if you have any newly installed programs or IE add-ons which cause this issue, you can test this in no add-ons mode, click start button, type "internet" in the search box, choose "internet explorer (No add-on)".
* I test in My IE, I have Hide pointer while typing checked, and in some typing boxes in IE the cursor will hide automatically, while some are not, but I think it's not an annoying issue for me.*

All images in Project not showing up

I have 2000 images in a project but for some reason I can only get one subset of them [89 images] to show up. I have checked to show all, I've gone into smart albums and they all show up but only 89 show up when I want to open the entire project...This is true in the maximized viewer and also in list view. I deleted the plist and reopened and it's still happening. I wanted to avoid a full rebuild of the Library [not sure how to rebuild only a project] if possible. I just want to be able to see and work with all my 2000 images in that project, not just the subset. Thanks.

What firstlaunch said and also did you make any Folders within a Folder? If so the other photos will not show up by design because a Folder within a Folder will force a separation of the images — this is a good thing because sometimes you may not want clients to see what other clients have within projects/jobs.

People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version

i am using sharepoint 2010 and windows authentication
recently i have updated my ie to ie11 and problem goes here.
when i try to select from people picker, there are an unexpected error happened
however when i use other ie version, people picker work fine, what goes wrong?
i have already added my system as trusted site
if there any others thing i miss out?

According to your post, my understanding is that People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version.
IE 11 is known to have compatibility issues on SharePoint 2010, please make sure to:
first of all, try installing latest update for IE 11 (several compatibility issues were fixed since the first release)
add the site to compatibility view (in IE> Tools> Compatibility view settings> type site name> add)
add the site to trusted sites and set the zone security level to low (in IE> Internet Options> Security> trusted sites> sites>add your site there> ok> custom level> select low> reset> ok)
You can use developer tools (f12) and set browser mode to the version that is most compatible with your environment.

Save as Word working in Standard but not Pro

Hello,
Our firm runs Adobe Professional 9.0 and Adobe Standard 10.
We have a scanned PDF with paragraph text.
In Standard, we can save it as a Word Document and the text in Word is editable.
In Professional, we save it as a Word Document and Word shows an image of the scanned PDF.
Questions...
Is this normal? Why would Standard work and not Professional? Could you do this on older verions of Adobe.

Yes I saw that feature. The problem is that the OCR does a poorer job of keeping the origianal layout.
Are you saying Standard will save to Word because it doesn't have OCR?
I'm confused why a feature would work on Standard and not Pro.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.6 Sticky Note Icons are huge and can not resize

My coworker is having a problem with the size of the Sticky Note (comments) Icon. It is huge and we can not resize.
When you open the icon, it takes up the whole page. We can change the Font size, but the actual icon will not resize.
The same document opened up from someone else, the icon views normal. We all have Adobe Acrobat Pro V9.4.6. Any suggestions on a fix?

Your reply also helped fix a problem I had with not being able to resize sticky notes. My original display resolution meant that the resize symbols in the lower corners of the sticky note weren't accessible. In Acrobat X, the setting is under Acrobat, Preferences, Page Display, Resolution.
