CP5: Welcome screen with repeating text animation until click

Would it be possible in a CP5 project to have a first welcome slide that shows an animated text like "Welcome to ..." for about 40 secondes with effect "Typing Text". The animation should restart every minute until a button is clicked? I tried several settings but until now I could not get a working solution.

Hello again,
Hope I did understand your question this time. You cannot change the duration of the animation itself, if you do not loop the animation will play once and the text will then remain fixed, as you already know without a doubt. What do you mean by 'animation for 20 sec'? You could time an effect, but not a Text animation, and I understood you inserted this with Typing text as animation.
The rest I did work out this way:
inserted the Text animation without looping, and timed it to stay 40sec on the slide
the last 20 seconds only the objects on the master slide will be visible
to get back to the start of the slide after having finished it, I attached a simple Advanced action to the Exit of the slide; this action send the playhead back to the first frame of the project, in this case the first frame of the welcome slide. I think it is best not to use any transition.
put a button on the slide (or a click box if you want it not to be visible) to break the loop, that button sends the playhead to the next slide.

My iPhone 5c is frozen on the lock screen with a text message on it. When I try and swipe the screen it sticks about halfway through the swipe. What do I do?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

  • Black Screen with white text at startup (??)

    Hello All:
I have a 2010 15" MacBook Pro, just got it in June. Had to send it in for a logic board replacement and now have it back. Everything works great except now instead of having the standard Apple greyish startup screen, I have a black screen with white text that scrolls through all of the startup stuff. I figure they changed some line on a plist somewhere so they could watch the startup and make sure everything was OK, then forgot to change it back.
Although I know it is good to know what's going on under the hood, I would rather it started up the regular way. Anyone know how to switch it back? I would call Apple, but would rather not sit on the phone for a long time for what I believe is probably a very simple fix. I did a search but couldn't find my problem listed....
    Thanks everyone...

    Kappy:
Thanks for the reply. I looked at the plist, but the -v was not there. Here is a copy of the plist:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>Kernel Flags</key>
    <string></string>
    </dict>
    </plist>
At least I know what it is called now - a "verbose startup".
Again, thanks for the help. Learn something new every day.

  • Macbook Pro boot shows black screen with white text cursor

    Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro 7,1 MC374xx/A running Mavericks.  My box has two internal hard drives in it.  One had the Mac OS installed to it, and the other has absolutely nothing on it.  I decided to give Boot Camp Assistant a try and chose the hard drive with nothing on it to install Windows on.  I also had an external USB DVD drive attached with the Windows 7 installation disc on it.
So, next thing ya know, my Mac reboots and loads a black screen that says "Memory Overload." I take out the external USB drive and restart.  Then it said, "No boot devices found."  Now for whatever reason, it's just a black screen with a white text cursor.
    What the heck happened?
I selected command R and confirmed that I installed Boot Camp on the right hard drive (the drive that did not contain my Mac OS).  Then, I completely erased everything from the drive with Boot Camp on it.  But still..black screen with white text cursor.
I have no Time Machine backups available so I'm forced to reinstall the OS.  Any idea why this happened?  It seems I must have attempted to install Boot Camp improperly.  Any ideas or instructions on what to do now or how to install Boot Camp successfully on the Macbook Pro I own?
    Earnestly,
    Speck

Boot Camp- Windows installation boots to black screen with blinking cursor.

  • Black screen with white text on boot

Hi, When I boot my mac I see the apple logo for a few seconds. after that I see a black screen with white text then the computer starts up. What is this and how do I fix it?
    Any help appreciated

    Hi
This is "verbose mode", which is a boot-up mode used mostly for troubleshooting the boot process. Sometimes your system can get into that mode accidentally. Try this: boot up holding down cmd-opt-O-F (to get into Open Firmware). Type:
    reset-nvram
    reset-all
Your computer should restart; reboot it once more to see if you are now booting normally.

It's normal for links to open in the same tab as you browse if you left-click. You can Ctrl+click or middle click to open a link in a new tab. Are either of those broken?
Some sites let you use a regular left click to open a link in a new tab (example: Google search settings), and some add-ons may change link behavior. Can you check whether one of your add-ons has been disabled?
    Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
Also, if you use the Ask toolbar, try disabling it and see whether that makes any difference.

I've always set this in the OCT/MSP, but there are plenty of threads and blogs about doing the same in GPO.

  • Black screen with white texts before Windows start in Boot Camp

I just bought my Macbook 13" and installed Windows Vista in Boot Camp. Everything went fine, Windows run seamlessly with the native speed that's said. My only problem is when I start Windows, it goes through a black screen first with a lot of white texts. One is the message "Unrecognized partition table drive 80. Please rebuild using Microsoft Fdisk Tool." Among others, this message repeats a number of times before Windows start. I don't have any problem after that, except that it delay the start up. I have tried to change a lot of settings that is associated with start up, so far nothing work. Can somebody out there help.

Highlight the phrase and add "Mac" to it, and do a look-up in Google.
"Unrecognized partition table drive 80. Please rebuild using Microsoft Fdisk Tool."
That error is listed on other threads and Microsoft, just easier to find and link thru Google than Apple forum search.
Hopefully that will help. But I would boot from Vista DVD and go through the automatic system repair too.

  • When I boot up my iMac I get a black screen with white text?

Hey guys wondering if anyone can help me. I installed mountain lion on my iMac the other day (2.8ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24inch) and now when I turn it on I get this screen come up? Any one no of a way to fix it? It comes up black all this white text appears and at the end it says..
"If you wish to boot the system:
    exit
    :/ root #
You type exit and some more stuff comes up then the mac boots up, normal apple loading screen and your in?? I tried reinstalling mountain lion again and I had no luck. Still doing it? Its strange cause ML is running fine on my macbook air. If anyone has any suggestions I would be so grateful. Tell me this isnt the end of her?
Its not something silly like the keyboard and mouse aren't connecting? I leave them on all the time.
Heres a snap of the screen
    Thanks everyone

I did reset the PRAM, but don't think that worked.  I did find this on a blog on the web.  It worked for me
When I first read this post I did not realize that the Mac boots properly if you type "exit". It seems like perhaps your mac thinks you want to boot in "verbose" mode. Try this before doing a reinstall.
    http://www.ernieflores.net/osx-page-3/always-boot-mac-os-x-in-verbose-mode/
I got this info from here
    http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/os-x-operating-system/280859-black-screen-white -text-startup.html
note: after it starts with the white text and black screen just type exit then hit return key and the computer will startup.  open the terminal after that and follow the ernie flores blog tip.

  • Blue screen with large text lower left

I have a Z935 ultrabook purchased last year with Win 8 OS.  I was doing something, I can't remember what, when I got the blue screen.  In the lower left there was the date and time in large type (3/8 -1/2 inch).  Below this was the 5-bar symbol of a wireless connection indicator.
In the lower right there was the symbol which, normally, clicked on, would bring up the dialogue Restart, Shut Down, Log Off, or Lock.  Nothing happened, here, however.
All I could do was to shut down using the physical on/off button. I turned it back on - same thing - same blue screen. I did this several times.  Nothing else worked, no key did anything, no Ctrl-Alt-Del.
I finally read about using the F12 key on turning back on, and I received a page with the option to Recover, or something like that, and oher options,  i chose Recover, and a screen came up with several options. The first option was Continue normally, and there were options to Restore, Reset, or something like that. I just chose Continue Normally, and everything came up as it was supposed to, and all is OK now.
Does anyone know what might have caused this screen, or has anyone received one like it - with the time, date, wireless indicator, etc.?
    Thanks very much.
    Solved!

Many, many reasons for BSOD's, Bob.  Hopefully, there won't be a next time.  However, if a freeze of any kind, BSOD or otherwise, happens again, reset the system by holding DOWN the power button for 10 seconds or until all the indicator lights go out, fan stops and you're sure the computer is off. Turn back on and everything should be back to normal.

  • How do I stop Firefox from Zooming to Fill the entire Width of the screen with the Text Box?

In Portrait mode the zoom facture / percentage performed may not be as significant or frustrating. However in landscape mode zooming the text box to fill the width of the screen is ridiculous. It makes the box huge & sometimes impossible to see / read what is needed in subsequent form text boxes.
In Landscape mode this sets in motion a necessity to zoom out following the competion of typing in every single text box. (Just try to fill out a form & see if you don't feel like cursing. In Landscape mode especially, I zoom to see what I want to see. I don't want firefox to undo my zooming action!
Is it possible to dissable this auto zooming in the settings? Or is it possible to suggest this change be added to future updates?

See if disabling this improves the experience:
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''', to continue to the about:config page.
    # Look for find.helperautozoom I think it is called

  • Help with repeating text field data on subsequent pages

I am very new to adobe live cycle designer. I developed a form and I would like some of the text fields on page 1 to fill automatically with the same information on pages 2 and 3 so the user does not have to be filling out the same information over and over.(The information on the other pages is going to be the same as the one on page 1.
Is there a way to do this? THANKS!
    Matty

Thank you so much for your quick response. IT WORKED and you have saved me a lot of time. Are there any books available in the market for those of us who want to get more proficient in the program? I just came from a very well known bookstore and they did not have any.
    THANK YOU AGAIN!

  • Is there a way to set the iPhone to have a black screen with white text?

I found the "Invert Colors" option under Settings > General > Accessibility, and like it a lot. It provides enhanced readability.
The problem is that it inverts all colors, even for apps. So when I view a web page in Safari, all the colors are inverted for the images.
And when I view my photos in Photos, these are also inverted as well.
Is there a way to set up the iPhone to default to a black screen and white letters for the OS, but allow the apps and photos, etc. to
be viewed in their regular colors. For example, can I run Photos to view my photos on a black background but view the photos in their
    normal coloring?

I'm afraid that is not possible, maybe this could bee a step in that direction if you use the mentioned Zoom function:
    Invert Colors and Grayscale
Sometimes, inverting the colors or changing to grayscale on the iPhone screen makes it easier to read.
Invert the screen colors. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility, then turn on Invert Colors.
See the screen in grayscale. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility, then turn on Grayscale.
Turn on both effects to see inverted grayscale. You can also apply these effects to just the contents of the zoom window—see Zoom on page 150.
