CR2 files open in CS4 but not in Bridge

I'm running Windows XP, CS4 11.02. Bridge 3.0.0.464, ACR 5.7, which I installed using the Updater. I purged my Bridge cache. Still get the "No Items to display" when I try to access my CR2 files. I can open the files (although I can't see thumbnails) in CS4.
I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

Most of the problems with ACR are one of 2 things. Either
you have the file in the wrong folder, or there is more than one file there.
The file should be in Program files/COMMOM FILES/Adobe/plugins/cs4/file formats if I remember correctly.

I own an iMac and a MacBook Pro. Recently, I've been having an issue with some PDFs and Word files that have been emailed to me from different contacts. All open—and can be seen using Quick Look—on the iMac. However, on the MacBook Pro it's a different story. When I try Quick Look all I see are the icons. When I try to open the PDFs in Preview (default app for me) I get an error message saying the file could not be opened and might be damaged. When I try to open the Word doc in Word, Pages or Bean I see all of the extraneous header information etc and the text is all mixed up in that formatting junk. I have repaired permissions, cleared out my user cache, restarted—pretty much everything I can think of. But no luck. Thought?

Brilliant suggestion! I checked all the display settings on my iMac 27" and confirmed they were the same settings as my MacBook -- until I checked the Window 7 screen resolution. Because of its size, I had expanded the screen across most of the monitor. When I changed the resolution to one suggested or configured by Windows, Approach worked fine. I've now tested it on quite a few of the settings, and as long as I let Windows determine the best resolution (on my iMac 27" it seems to be 2043 x 1276), Approach works like it should. Thank you!

I have windows xp and flash player 9. I created a wsf file and published it for flash player 9 and ActionScript3, and inserted it in a web page. It opens in IE8 fine but when I try to open it in Firefox 3.6, it says: "content of this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player" and a little box invites me to download it.
I tried publishing for flash player 6 and Action Script2, but get the same results.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I can't say if this will fix it, but you can try putting quotation marks around "_blank"... it is a String argument so it should be quoted just like the URL is.

Pdf files opening in acrobat but not ie

hello all, i'm having a problem opening pdf files in internet explorer instead of acrobat 9. the "Display PDF in browser" box is checked under Edit > Preferences... and i've opened regedit and watched as bBrowserIntegration registry key is deleted and re-written while checking and unchecking that box. i've tried a complete uninstall/re-install of acrobat twice, once running ccleaner after uninstalling to clear unused registry keys. this problem is localized to that particular user. logging them off and logging on with a local account, pdf files from the internet open just fine with ie8. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Adobe recommends against have different versions of the same application installed at the same time. They also discourage having Reader and Acorbat installed at the same time. I would install version 6 and repair or reinstall version 9.

Will this download open CR2 files on a CS4 program from a Canon 5D Mark III?

I know that Cs4 will not support CR2 files from a New Mark III. I need to fix this. With the CC, will it allow me to open the CR2 files in PS CS4?

The 5D Mark III was first supported in Camera Raw 7.1 which is compatible with CS6 and later.
So, to answer your question, yes CS6, CC and CC 2014 can open and edit Raw files from the 5D Mark III.

Lightroom open Photoshop CC but not the files

When in Lightroom and I click on lets say 3 selected photos and want to open them in Photoshop HDR Pro or as layers, it opens CC fine but not the files. Any ideas? It's the same problem in open in CC as layers or Panorama. None of the files open in CC.

In the mean while, i would suggest you to follow the suggestions mentioned under the below article and check if that helps.

RAW CR2 files from my Canon G11 not displaying thumbnails in SL finder. Why

I just loaded some CR2 RAW files from my Canon G11 last night. They displayed perfectly in iPhoto 09 but when I opened the folder the image files are in SL's finder I got icon placeholders which but no image icon display. I have loaded all the latest updates... Is SL no yet compatible with G11 RAW Cr2 files? Or do I not have something set up correctly as of yet?

Go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file: com.apple.QuickLookDaemon.plist file to the Trash and restart your Mac.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
