Create 1 template that updates throughout site

Can you create a template that can be used throughout your website and when you need to change the template and it will update automatically throughtout your website?
Thanks
Sharon

In iWeb '08 you choose the templates for the pages of your site and can then switch by clicking on the "theme" button. You have to do this for every page.

  • Title template that updates all titles if it's changed

    Hi!
In Premiere Pro, can I create a title template that, if I change it, will update all the titles in my project that use that template?
    Thanks!

That is one reason that making titles by animating the source text in After Effects comes in handy. You can change anything you want and the text just changes at the right times.

  • DW 8.0.2 Not creating Templates folder

So today I went to create a template (first on this
new , large site we are working on) and DW will not create the
default templates folder. It keeps saving my .dwt in the root
    folder.
Background. I have all the permissions in the world on this
server - there are 4 sites I work on daily and two of them have
templates created by DW MX and MX 2004. This is the first time I
have tried to create templates for this particular site (on the
same server as the others). DW is installed on my local machine and
I do not EVER save any work locally, so if this is the solution -
then it isn't good enough. We are required to work 100% on our
servers for backup reason (don't get me started), which hasn't been
a problem in the past. I use PUT/GET to move my files b/t servers
(mockup/live). Again - never a problem in the last versions of DW,
but for some reason 8.0.1 is having issues.
Anyone have ANY ideas why DW 8.0.1 [Correction: 8.0.2] isn't
creating the Templates folder it needs???
    Thnx,
    Chris

    > Is this wrong?
Yes, only in that it's so error prone.
If your template has two or more editable regions, you do not
    get the option
to divide your content between them. All of your content must
    go into one
    of those two.

Are you using FILE | Save As Template...?

  • How to create Templates in Xcelsius..?

    Hi all..
How to create template in Xcelsius?
I want to make a template which I can use for make dashboards.

Hi, take a look on this explanation below
    To create a template
If you often use a similar layout and components for models, you can create templates that you can reuse for new models rather than starting from a blank canvas. For example, if you are creating a set of Portlets for use in your corporate portal, you may want to save your models as templates so you can re-use them when updates are necessary. To save a model as a template, you first save the file to the templates folder and then export the model (SWF file) to the same location.
Create a model that you want to save as a template.
    Click File > Save As.
The "Save As" dialog box opens.
Navigate to the folder where the Xcelsius program is installed and then to the following location: ...\assets\template.
Note: To create a new template category, create a folder under the \template directory.
In the Filename list, type a file name for the template and click Save.
Click File > Export > Flash (SWF).
Navigate to the templates folder where you saved the template.
In the File Name list, type the same file name for the SWF file that you entered for the template and click Save.
The model is saved as a template. The next time you open the templates window, your template will be available for preview and use.

  • How do I create a template that will update all pages when it is updated?

Hi everyone, I am a complete InDesign newbie, as this is my first project with it. I was wondering if there is a way to create a generic template in InDesign that, when updated, would also update all the pages made from it. The behavior I am looking for is similar to the way Dreamweaver does templates... when you create a new page, you can tell it to make the page from the already created template. That template has been pre-configured with editable regions. Anything outside the editable regions cannot be modified unless editing the template directly.
Does this functionality exist in InDesign? I am running CS5.
    Thanks!

  • How can I create a template that does not have automatic formatting but my own?

I have just switch to a Mac from a PC and am having a terrible time with pages.  All I want to do is create my own template that has NO AUTOMATIC FORMATTING so I can do my own.
There is nothing in the HELP sections on how to delete the automatic formatting.  I do not want to use any of their Outline Templates just make up my own.
I would be so so grateful if someone could help me with this.  I took a one-on-one and his idea of how to get rid of formatting in my own template DID NOT WORK!
    Thanks, Deborah

    Deborah
Hard to see your problem, and if there is something THAT DOES NOT WORK! it would obviously be useful to know WHAT that is and WHY you believe it does not work, so we can ACTUALLY RECOMMEND A SOLUTION.
Just select any text and change it to whatever you want using the toolbar and/or the Text inspector.
The Outlines are just a view of your text, in a form that lets you easily organise and move it around.
Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer
Reveals whatever style has been applied to a heading or text and you can update or create new styles by clicking on the small triangle next to it > Redefine style from selection
When you are finished just save it as a Template.

  • EBS Supplier best practice to update vendor site code, update or create a new one

I have a question related to EBS Supplier vendor site code. Application lets you update the vendor site code, but what is the best practice to update the site code?....would you inactivate the exiting one and create a new one? or would you just update the existing value?

    Ok,
My workaround was to put in my TaskFlow an action to commit. After that I put two more actions (execute) and then back to my page. This way works but I would like to know if there is any more efficient way to do this just when I am inserting.

  • The new updated version of iMovie 10 won't let me open my previous files I created before the update today. I have a wedding that I'm trying to finish and deliver and now I can't because that file version won't open. I keep getting an error message

    Hello,
Please help me figure this out. I'm very unhappy at the moment. I'm fustrated and don't have any idea how to revert to the original version before the update was done on iMovie 10. I NEVER hated APPLE until NOW!! I love APPLE products and apps so please help me stay in that mindset. So I worked on some movie projects when I got my macbook pro 6 months ago. I update reguarly. I saw the update prompt and honestly, I did not think I would have ANY issuess with opening my previous files that I created only a few months ago with this updated version. The new updated version of iMovie 10 won't let me open my previous files I created before the update today. I have a wedding that I'm trying to finish and deliver and now I can't because that file version won't open. I keep getting an error message and the iMovie app closes. Last night I saw the file and tried to open it but no luck. Error message came up again. I reboot and turned off my laptop for the evening and tried again just now but nothing!! I need that video. My job depends on it! I worked so hard on this wedding video and now it's lost and won't open. I work another job and don't have much time. I really don't want to start all over again. Please help me. Thanks so much for your assistance.

I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?

  • I want to create a fillable form using the templates that were in adobe acrobat

    Hi all,
I am having trouble finding the templates that were offered in the previous version of Adobe. Before, when I wanted to create a form, I could simply click "create form" select from template, and I had access to dozens of varieties of forms. Now when I try the same thing, it only lets me scan in a paper form. I don't have a paper form. That's why I'm trying to make one.
Any advice would be appreciated, I have tried to search for my question but the help function keeps redirecting me back to "how to prepare a fillable form" and tells me to use a paper document. Why did this simple task become so difficult all of a sudden?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards
    Michael

That was the FormsCentral designer software. Adobe has decided to discontinue FormsCentral, so it wasn't included with Acrobat DC.
The usual way to create a form in Acrobat is to create the layout in a program such as InDesign or Word and create a PDF. You can then add the fields in Acrobat, which can attempt to automatically add fields where it thinks they belong.

  • How do I delete a default text message (template) that I appear to have accidentally created?

Every time I want to send a text message and I start from scratch or I forward a text from my inbox an old message appears as a sort of template that I have to delete before I type my new message. I don't know how I created this "template" but its very annoying as it is a long message that I need to delete every time.. I would be grateful if anyone can tell me how to clear it..

Reset the Device using this method:  Hold the home button + the lock button for about 10-12 seconds until the Apple logo appears.  You will not lose any data or current settings.

  • How do I delete Pages templates that I have created?

How do I delete Pages templates that I have created?

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/

  • Is there anyway to create a template that has automatic page numbering

We have a template that we have to create, each page on the template has to have a page number.  We do a lot of edits and the pages change for example the page may start out as page 1 and after editing it is page 10.  Are there any codes I could use that would automatically number and renumber the pages.

I don't think there is any property of templates that would give you that capability.  Sorry.  You can certainly suggest it to the dev team, though -

  • Can you create a template that has a header and footer to forms?

Can you create a template that has a header and footer to forms?

Yes but how are they going to create the Landscape versions?
The problem with doing it in Pages '09 as rotated content is that the Headers and Footers are not rotated and there is inherent clumsiness in the rotated content usually being too large for the page when viewed at 90°.
Best to make it in two or more separate documents.
