Create a new class in pe51 form layout

Hi experts,
I want to create a new form layout in pe51 for payroll register. In standard form class maximum columns is 132 but i want
more than 300 columns for payroll register. so its possible to to create new zform class in pe51. If its possible pls guide me.

Hi, I am working on the same thing and created a form in PE51 using Form class CKT0 which gives me 255 columns. I am however having problems with finding some of the fields I need.

Adding new field in PE51 Form

hi experts,
I want to print a new field in PE51 Form.
i added a new line in the form.
but when i selected the single field radiobutton and in change mode double click at the position where i wanted to print a new value it is giving error ie dialog box -
No data has been set up at this fixed position.
so are ther any attributes to set for the new line added for data to be printed?
Please reply me how to do this as soon as possible.

Dear Imran,
Double click will work only after assigning the source value for the field instead first you should create the value to fetch the data for the field.

Hi,
I'm trying to create a new class called Questions, which has
two properties (type and condition).
The action script is saved in the folder myComponents under
the project.
When I compile the Main app, I get the following error
message:
"1172 Definition myComponents:Question could not be found."
Why?
How do you call a constructor for a new class, that is not an
extension of an existing class?

Here is a test class I created a while back, although this
one does extend Object it might help you out a bit with your
constructor issue:

Create a new rule for printing form to use in time statement form

we need to print an information on time statement form in dependence of a special substitution. Is there any possibility to create a new rule for printing form to use in time statement form? I can't find any information about this.

Yes, I've tried this, but I get the error message:
Form class TEDT can only be displayed with this editor.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to create a customer form class and assign a customer time statement form?

Error during creating a new class diagram

Hi everbody,
I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 with ADF Faces and Toplink. I'm exposing to an error message in JDeveloper while creating a new class diagram. The error message is shown in dialog and saying "The name of the element can not be set to 'package name' as another element has got the same name in the package". I have controlled the name of the new class diagram. The name is unique in the package. Also I'm creating this new file in the package "tr.com.bilisim.class_diagram" and details part of this error message in dialog also says
"BME-02002 : The name of the element can not be set to 'class_diagram' as another element has got the same name in the package"
"BME-02002 : The name of the element can not be set to 'bilisim as another element has got the same name in the package"
"BME-02002 : The name of the element can not be set to 'com' as another element has got the same name in the package"
"BME-02002 : The name of the element can not be set to 'tr' as another element has got the same name in the package"
As I understand from the error message, during creating a new class diagram from 'new file dialog' also tries to create the directories in relevant package (tr.com.bilisim.class_diagram).
How can I solve this problem? Please urgent help!

But I do not know why anyone would create a new batch type for release strategies, it is totally unnecessary and provides no additional options. The class type indicates which objects can be classified and there is already one for release strategies.
You can create a new class or add characteristics to the existing class used in the release strategy anyway.
Ther is also NO WAY that two classes can be used in the release strategy and this new class type would not change this either???

What is a "template class"?
How are you trying to "go to" and "select" the template?
Etc.

Creating a new class type in the classification system

We are wanting to classify objects in a ZTABLE. We have a home grown system for defining our customer requirements that is used as the way for the sales people to communicate to the engineering dept. what the customer wants. A new need has come up that seems to be a good fit to be able to classify our customer requirements. I have been trying to create a new class type that is linked to our ZTABLE. However, even though it looks like we should be able to do this I have not been able to do it. I ran across some documentation that seems to imply that adding a new class type used to be possible, but no longer is.
Can anyone verify that creating a new class type is still possible to do? We are on ECC 5.0.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to create my own Class Type. Is there some documentation as to how to dow this? Other than what is fould in SPRO I have tried and tried but no joy for me.
This is what I have done so far:
in SPRO:
1) Created an Object Key for my table ZLO_CUSTREQ. This table has a primary key of CRQNR (custormer requirements number which is I created) The documentation says that I need to add this key field to structure RMCLY (I did that). BUT, it also says the RMCLY is embeded in structure RMCLX and it is not. Do I need to modify RMCLX to add RMCLY as an append structure?
2) Went to Maintain Object types and Class types and selected my table. Double clicked on Class Types in the Dialog Structure tree, which displayed an empty list of class types.
I then Clicked New Entries button and filled in the fields: Class type(Z10), Description(Customer Requirements), Table(ZLO_CUSTREQ). in the Screens group I selected Keywords and Characteristics. In the Functions group I selected: Standard class type and Multiple classifications. I then Clicked the back arrow. This returned me to the Class Types list which now displayed my new class type.
When I click the save button it kicks me out the the SPRO menu screen and I get the warning message "Class type Z10 does not have the classification status incomplete system" .
Then, it won't let me re-enter the Maintain Object types and Class Types screen due to an error "View cluster is already open, go back with F3"
When I hit F3 I am returned to the main SPRO screen. After navigating back to the Maintain Object types and Class types I continue to get the View cluster already open error. The only way I can get back to Maintain Object types and Class types is to completely exit SPRO and start over. When I do, class type Z10 is gone.
I have repeated this procedure several times with always the same results.
Can anyone please help me?

Creating a new class instance in the target VM exception

The following error appeared when i was trying to instantiate a new object by "new", After the error was thrown , everything just hanged ....

I tried creating a new instance of any class i wrote it gave me the same behaviour. But when i create a new instance of any of the JRE's (BufferedReader for example) classes it runs normally.
The error seems to be thrown only in dynamic loading because i tried inheriting from a class i wrote and invoking super() it executed normally. Also the problem is not from setting the class path because i am correctly passing the class path to the target virtual machine.
So what is the problem ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The hanging part is solved , it was a mistake when handling exception events. But anyways i would appreciate it if i knew why the error is being thrown. It just continues normally as if nothing happened

Creating a new line for a row layout

i am building a web service based OA page...
For this i have a created a VO with transient variables which holds the values from webservice.
Now i have a row layout region where i key in some values which are required to call webservice..
using this values webservice is called..and object is returned from webservice ,from which vo transient attributes get the values..
now my requirement is i need to create one more line to key in more rows...at any point of time user can create a new row to query a different item ....or existing item..
The queried results can be seen in the underlying table region which holds the VO attributes discussed above..
Please help in this...how to achieve above mentioned functionality...

Generate extra record when create a new record in secondary form

I have been troubshooting this for a logn time:
I have exemption form ties to exemption table. because there are two many info on exemption form, I create a second form called exemption (2) form and ties to exemption(2) table. Then, I create a "Go to exemption(2) form" button from the first form and it will redirect the user to the second form once they click it.
Once the users complete the second form entry, and click the Create(which is the save record) button, it not only creates a new record in exemption (2) table but also create an extral record in the first exemption table.
I used the exemption sequence to genertate the id so for example,
Exemption (1) has 3 records so far, but after the user add the record in the second form, Exemption (1) has 4 records.
How do I make the first form and the second form consistent in the ID?

If I get your problem exactly, you are using a sequence for the ID, and you want to insert the same ID in both Tables 1 & 2 - Yes, it is exactly what I want to do
for that what you can do is, in the first form submit process, you can assign the sequence value to a hidden or application - I use exemption sequence and the first form takes nextval of it.
item in your first form and use that item in your second form. - then, I went to the second form, and assign the ID to the first form ID (the page item in application)
I got error message saying can not insert NULL value to second table, can not process the row.
Can you show me the submit process in the first form?

InfoPath blows up with an error message saying "Invalid form template"...
No, I do not have any added data connections in the form.
No, I have not added any fields or done any modifications of any kind to the form.
I am doing exactly these steps:
Open SPD
Create a New Custom List
Open List in SPD
Click "Design Forms in InfoPath" (Item)
Form opens in InfoPath 2013
Click Publish (or Quick Publish...doesn't matter)
See error message
This wasn't a problem in my environment liiike, a week ago..? The only thing that's different is that I installed some security patches on the servers this morning...

Also you can try to check if there are more useful ULS logs related to InfoPath issue according to the time of this error "Invalid form template" occured, it could help troubleshoot the issue.

Pl see ML Doc 420518.1(Limitations of Forms Personalization) for a list of things you cannot do with personalization - among them is creating new form objects such as checkboxes.

Reasons to create a new class to handle mouse events

Hi,
I have a class which is very large (3000+)..anyway, some of the mouseEvents that I handle (mouseClicked, etc)...are quite large. I was thinking about separating these into a new class, but I am not 100% sure of the benefits...any suggestions, ideas?

If you look at Sun's classes you must agree that they are cohesive. Each one you have mentioned also has the requirement of implentation of an object--it kind of defeats the purpose of the api if it takes 8 to 10 classes to implement a JTable doesn't it?.
You must consider carefully this from the previous post by UlrikaJ: "If the class is cohesive, that is encapsulates one idea, it may be better to keep everything together. But if it's a junkyard of disparate ideas that didn't fit elsewhere..."
I will say this, that most classes that I have encountered that go beyond a few hundred lines of code fit into the "junkyard of disparate ideas", in some cases I would categorize them as "junkyard of desperate ideas", but that is another story all together.
If you class is highly cohesive, then you have a good class, but if not you should break it appart for readability, maintainablity, and correctness.
