Create Callback VI for IMAQdx Event - Broken Wire

My application is using IMAQdx to communicate with a Basler camera. When my camera is triggered with a digital trigger, it sends out an event when exposre finishes. I can use this event to know when to grab an image.
I have a working VI that uses an event structure to handle this event and pull the image. Using an event structure in my main application will not work for my arcitecture, though, so I need to do a callback VI upon event generation.
I have been trying everything to get a callback VI to work, but it seems LabVIEW thinks that the callback VI doesn't match the input to the "Register Event Callback." I have tried everything ranging from making my own VI to match the exact inputs to just using "Create Callback VI" by right-clicking. No matter what I do to the VI, there is a broken wire.
See attached VI's. The callback VI is unnecessary because it is just a blank VI that was generated.
Any help with this would be highly appreciated!

It looks like your code is looking for a TypeDef called CtlRef. I don't know if this is part of the IMAQdx spec, or something you need to provide, but providing it should get rid of the broken arrow.

I think I know what can help. I also support Mac users in a mixed environment, and find that being able to access a Windows machine to test settings for my iCal users is very very helpful. If you do not have one, I could also fix this one by adding the user's account to my one Mac that runs Entourage.
On a PC: set up one of the problem accounts in Outlook, then go to Tools->Options & click on the Delegates tab. Click on a Delegate name (if they all have the same permission level, you can select all), then click the Permissions button. If the delegate have "Editor" permissions, there will be a little checked box that sends the delegate copies of all those meetings. De-select it.
Lemme know if you want Entourage instructions or if that does it for you.
The real question, of course, is why are there so many Exchange functions that iCal can't touch. Grrrr....

Can someone please tell Apple to create a "dot" for every event in a given day?

Can someone run this idea up the chain at apple? It would be nice to see what days are busiest from the monthly view. I single dot can represent 1 event or 20, but this is not helpfull. It seems like it would be an easy programming fix to make a "dot" for every event scheduled in a given day, no? You could press this idea further by making the dot color coordinated to the type of event.
Or is there a setting that I am missing?

Fix for repeating events broken by OCS/Palm?

When I sync my Treo using Oracle Calendar Sync (to my Mac), repeating events are broken into individual items
... and then the events on the Palm are broken into individual events, too!
Has anyone found a workaround for this problem?
Does the same thing occur when syncing on a Windows machine? How about when using Mobile Sync?
Is there any way to sync one-way, so at least the repeating events on my Treo are not screwed up?

Callback function for network events

Hi all,
I'm working on a project, and I need to be able to respond to network events. I receive the data through a BufferedInputStream from a socket. What I want is a callback-type thing, i.e. When new data is sent to the socket, a function is called to receive that data. I've looked through the documentation, I can't find anything that could be used for that. The only thing I can think of is linking it to a JTextArea/JTextField, and attaching a change listener to that, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. My current method involves a loop, which I don't like at all:

I don't like it because it wastes processor cycles that really should go elsewhere. So what can I do?

When you read from a socket and there is no data available, it just blocks until something does become available. While the thread is blocked waiting for I/O it won't take up any processor time.

Creating Single impulse for datalogging event once?

Hi,
I've created a simple warning a system to light up a boolean when my
measurement exceeds a preset value. However I would like to data log the
time or date of the event when such event occurs.
The problem is when the warning lights up my log in multiple time due to the
while loop. Could someone please teach me how to generate a single impulse
from the boolean so that my log which is put into a case loop would only run
once when the boolean lights up?(single shot) Or is there other methods

Just create a "last value" indicator (initialized to FALSE) and set it equal
to your Boolean in the loop. Then you write to your log only if the Boolean
is TRUE and the "last value" is FALSE.

After that you will enable this monitor for specific servers using overrides.

We need to give Visibility for the next process, conformed by three visibility process, show more detailed in the following explanation:
1. First Visibility process -> purchasing scenario
     Purchase Order -> Confirmation -> Goods Receipt -> Invoice Verification
Note: In this scenario we need to modify the rule set (don´t include inbound delivery) and modify the standard functions (Create Z), of expected events and Goods receipt.
2. Second Visibility process -> Stock transport order Scenario
Stock transport order (PO) -> Outbound Delivery -> Shipment -> Goods receipt -> Invoice Verification (Planned delivery costs).
Note: In this scenario we need to create a Z function to planned delivery costs and create the Z events according to the Planned delivery costs we want to control.
3. Third Visibility process -> Second Stock transport order scenario
Stock transport order (PO) -> Outbound Delivery -> Goods receipt -> Invoice Verification (Planned delivery costs).
Note: In this scenario we need to create a Z function to planned delivery costs and create the Z events according to the Planned delivery costs we want to control.
After this introduction, the question is how we can see an entire operation (the combination of the three scenarios), I mean, when we ingress to /SAPTRX/EH_LIST transaction, and execute this, the transaction show an event handler level (Same way /SAPTRX/EH_SET, event handler set level), but my grouping fields are according to Event handler (example: Bussines process type), but we don´t have a u201CProcess Unique IDu201D, that combine the different Application Object Types involved (In this process, PCM10_ITEM, TRA10_DELIV, TRA10_ROAD).
In the following image I show an example of the point exposed (think in /SAPTRX/EH_LIST transaction):

Kevin thanks a lot by your answer, the question is how to associate three event handlers, but i don´t know about the number range, i appreciate a lot if you can explain to me more detailed, how i can define this number range and what tables has associated in order to define de Function module for "Control parameter extractor". I appreciate too if you can explain me how the system assign the same number in the three event handlers.
According to this, I appreciate a lot if you confirm to me, the followings steps that cover this requirement (I propose two different scenarios, the second scenario was adjusted after your explanation):

Create Z function for "expected event extractors" and "Control parameter Extractors" (These functions have to look and save the control parameter defined previously, in this case according with the extractor (PCM10_ITEM or TRA10_ROAD), the function has to find in the respective field in any case (it means in the PO its the field XXX in the shipment its the field YYY, but in event management the "control parameter" its the same).

Hi,
Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.

for your requirement raise one servoce PO for 1000-00, with item category 'D',
for that line item , it is possible to maintain sub-services line items,
but, it is not possible to maintain raw materials under the service activity ,
if you want to valuate paint cost also, maintain the sub service line item with short description ,
at the time of SES , u can create individual SES, for all sub services,

1-My workflow to create a vendor is triggered.
2-Fork with 2 flows (1 to terminate):
2.1- if user executed XK01 by wi and created the vendor;
OR
2.2- if the user executed xk01 directly and created the vendor, by exit, I call an event... that is in a Wait for step task. But it is not working. in swel it is givin me the message: 'Linkage deactivated'.

Steady on there Amandeep...
1. Don't change the error feedback settings on the event linkage directly. Leave it on "system setting".
2. Go to transaction SWEQADM and select the "Basic Data" tab.
3. On the basic data tab set the "behaviour on error feedback" to:
a) "Mark linkage as having errors" - if this is a QAS or PROD system - that will let you redeliver the event from SWEQADM once you have fixed the problem.
b) ""Do not change linkage" - BUT ONLY!!!!!!!!! if this is a development system where no-one cares where dead workflow instances go. And usually I would recommend making the development system "Mark linkage as having errors" too - gets you used to the event problem diagnosis/redelivery process for when you get to QAS/PRD.
The most common problems I see for deactivated event linkages is workflow definition not activated, or mandatory import container elements not provided in the workflow/event binding.

When creating a Business Event (E) via transaction PSV2, PV10 or PV11 I want certain rules to be in place when the user selects the following:
When selecting an option under 'Location' for example "Internal", the user will then go to "Organizer Data". Under "Organizer Data" there will be a drop down list of A, B or C. For "Internal" Location the user should only pick option B, so if they select any of the other options and attempt to save the transaction will be stopped with an error with a message, i.e. " Incorrect Organiser Data Captured for Internal".

How to create many objects listening for one event

I'm experimenting with the EventDispatcher class and I have a
test class working. I want to use a loop to create a variety of
movie clips that all listen for an event that gets dispatched every
half a second. I have the event dispatching properly. My problem is
that when creating the objects, the temporary variable I use to
hold each created object has a life that extends beyond the loop in
which it is instantiated. Rather than all five created objects
changing color, only the last one changes color (see the code
below--it lives on the first frame of an FLA file).
This is not entirely surprising when I look at the code --
'this' refers to the global scope and 'square' refers to the last
created object that it pointed to. Here's the resulting trace:

How can I modify this code so that each square object changes
its own color?

graphics.clear in the context of that function handler in my
code would refer not to the squares but to the global scope,
wouldn't it? In which case you'd be clearing all the graphics from
your top level movie. I tried changing 'square.graphics' to just
'graphics' in my handler and my squares just remained the original
steady black.
Your code doesn't use a loop and therefore isn't re-using a
variable. You've escaped my 'logical errors' through brute force.
(BTW, I think my code would work in AS2 if I used the old-school
draw methods). Suppose you had to create 100 objects? Would you
want to manually instantiate each one, typing that function over
and over again? You'd have 500 lines of highly redundant code!
Maybe try your example using a loop instead? I think you'll
find it's pretty tough to sneak any vars like 'i' or 'square' from
the global scope into the handler--the handler refers to the
living, breathing variable rather than it's value at the time the
handler was instantiated. Furthermore, you can't sneak any
information about the square into your handler via the event object
because the event object is created in a totally different place.
