Create Custom Application E-Commerce B2B with IPC

Hello,
I created a custom E-commerce application with NWDI. I followed the very clear "How-to_Create_Custom_Application_In_E-commerce" document of Hari Ravu. All steps has been done successfully. I applied the XCM files of my B2B standard application.

When I don't set "IPC use", my custom B2B application work well in my laptop J2EE engine (I use NWDS workplace for the development) and after deploiment.

But when I select "IPC use" (in the XCM and the shopadmin), an exception is raised when I browse in the catalog.
For information the b2b standard application work well with IPC. No error is detected in local and in my developement server.

It seems to be an issue with the IPC class dependencies but I didn't solve the pb. In the document of Hari Ravu, no detail has be done concerning IPC dependencies.

I found some thread about the pb with IPCintegration with the B2B custom appli, , but these threads don't provide the solution

I have to use IPC for the pricing and product configuration for my project, so if somebody can help me..

I am trying to configure the "Single session Trace" (OSS Note 1090753) but I am not able to see the second Tabs 'Single Session trace"
when I select the logging link in the Administration console of my application.
 - I modified as described the attribut "ForceSingleTraceFile" in the visual Admin.
 - I modified the appinfo and logFileDownload attributs to TRUE in the XCM
 - I rebooted the cluster

a page with two tabs 'Log Configuration' and 'Session Tracing' is displayed.
The Session Tracing doesn't appear for me !!
do you not why I am not able to see the Single session trace ?
Currenty, the only way is to retrieve trace in the file defaultTrace10.log. (see my previous log capture)

I created an application on a machine with Labview 6.01, can I run this application on another machine that has labview 5?

In the development center we use Labview 6.01, in the testcenter we use labview 5.
Additionally, in the development center we use a unix version of Labview and in the testcenter a Windows version.

You can Save with Option to save VIs as version 5.
Unless your VIs deal with system files in UNIX or Windows (ie. Registry...)
then you have to develop your VI specificly on that OS, since UNIX and
Windows have different ways to deal with system files. Mostly, LabVIEW is OS
independent. I used to have VIs developed from LabVIEW v.3 on UNIX, I can
still open these files from LV v.4 on Windows. Now I can still work with
these VIs on LV 6 on Windows.

Hi Samar,
By application page do you mean writing C# code from SP designer? If so as far as I know you can't write C# code from designer, you have to use Visual Studio for it.
But if you only want an aspx page with some JS code you can create one from "all files" in designer. you will see files menü on ribbon from where you can create aspx page.

Error creating custom reports. Permissions issue with custom reports

I am having permission issues with reports. I am building a new Configuration Manager 2012 infrastructure and I have configured the Site server on Server1 and the DB is on Server2. Server2 also hosts the Reporting Point and SSRS roles/features. If
I look in Monitoring at the Site Status and Component Status are all green no issues with the setup.
Running SQL 2008 SP2 (no CUs). I have a service account that I used to install Configuration Manager and SQL. This service account is running the SQL service on Server2 and i am using the same account as the Reporting Services Point Account.
I log into the SCCM console with a different user account, lets call it Admin1. This account is a member of the Full Administrator role. I can run any built in report.
When I open the SSRS website and try to create a custom report I connect the DataSource using Windows Authentication. So the Datasource is connecting using the logged in users account. In this case Admin1. I test the connection and it connects fine.
I test this query. (Select * from v_R_System) I only have about 10 workstations discovered so the report shouldn’t be very big. I get an error “The Select permission was denied on the object ‘v_R_System’, Database ‘CM_XXX’, schema ‘dbo’. (Microsoft sql server,
Error: 229)”
I have fixed the SELECT permission error by going into the database (using SQL Management studio) and granting Admin1 Select rights to the Configuration Manager database. I can now run the above query and make custom reports.
My 2nd problem is that other members of the Full Administrator role cannot run these custom reports unless I go into the database and grant them the SELECT permission.
Question:
Should I have to manually go into the database to add SELECT permissions(i could use a group)? shouldnt Configuration Manager take care of this for me?
Maybe the built in reports use the SQL service account rights and the custom ones do not? Am I doing something wrong with the Datasource when I create these custom reports?
What is the correct process for creating custom reports?

I think i am getting closer to a solution. After the Custom report is created. i can go back into the report. Delete the DataSource. Then browse for a dataSource. there is a datasource located in http://server2/reportserver/ConfigMgr_XXX/
That datasource is used by all builtin reports. if you view the properties on the Credentials tab it is set to "do not use credentials" and the option is greyed out / cannot be changed.
it looks like i still need the SELECT permissions on the database to create the report initially but at least i have solved the problem with viewing these reports.
Can anyone confirm that what i did is correct?

Create Custom Application Loader

I don't know whether this is the right forum to post the question or not.
My question is :
Can I write a custom class loader in Weblogic App server ? My basic requirement is to write a custom application loader with will first load some jar files from some remote machine and then will be loading the application. This jar files should not be made visible by any other application deployed in the the server. The class loader should also be a component of the application itself.
Say for example : The application name is "App1".
Ideal scenario
1) WLS boots up
2) It tracks all the applications
3) Reads some conf (or xml file) to trace the class loader name from App1
4) Adds the class loader to the Loader Repo, if any
5) When WLS feels it should load the applications i.e application loading step comes, it should detect that there is a custom loader associated to the application App1 and transfers control to it.The loader will load accordingly.
I really have no idea how this can be achieved. But if app servers provides extension to there class loader repo then each application can have their custom loaders if needed.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Should I create Custom Application?

Hi All
I am working on a requirement for which I am going to create a custom OA Menu which would have functions across multiple applications like: OSS, OCO..etc. So the new Menu would be a combo and hybrid menu. Now in this scenario should I create a new application and create a responsibility to refer to that menu or should I use any of the exisiting applications OSS, OCO..?
I feel we should create a new application. Will there be any repercussion coz of this approach?
Please throw some light on the above.

I believe, your idea of creating a custom menu and attaching functions to it, is that whenever, this menu is tied to some top-level menus, the custom pages should be accessible from that menu as well. If this is the case, then yes, there would not be any impact to the application as long as the custom menu is available in the menu structure.
Application Id that is passed, is used in various scenarios in Oracle Apps. But I don't think it would impact the Menu Structure (or) Menu Display. As there is no link btw. menu and appl. id. The link is only with resp. & Menus.

How to create Custom Application .plist file

Hi all,
I want to create a custom myapp.plist file from where my application can read or write information.
I used the java.util.prefs.Preferences class for that it works fine.
but the problems are
(a) I want file name myapp.plist instead of
com.apple.java.util.prefs.plist
(b) only 2-3 levels of nodes are created .
If anybody has an idea please let me know

You can use Mass device setup (MDS) for the same.
Setup Package Or Software Package should serve your purpose.
Setup package: You can packeg Server/connection detailsApplicationDevice details.
Software package: Server/connection Details+Application.

GNOME3 - Create custom application launcher in favourite panel

Is there a way to do this. I'm using the firefox nightly build. To launch in GNOME3 i have to open the file manager, navigate to the directory that I have unpacked the nightly to, double click the shell script file and then answer the pop up question that I want to run this file.
I've tried drag and drop to the favourite panel but couldn't get it to work.
Once it is running it does show up in the favourite panel and I can right click it and say add to favourites. This does keep an icon here after I close firefox but when I click on it nothing happens.

Creating Flex applications without MXML but with AS3

To me it seems logical that if I want to build an application
I should use AS3 to create reusable components, classes, the
layout, etc.
.. however, searching around on the web I exclusively find
Flex tutorials and examples using MXML. This is also true for the
books (e.g. Adobe Flex 2 - Training from the source") -- why is
this?
Is it wrong of me to think it'd be best to create everything
in AS3? Do anyone have links to tutorials etc. where they use AS3
to build Flex applications?

Even the data grid does not need to be "declared" in MXML, it
was just a faster way to do it for me - you could do
canvas_id.addChild(...) any element/item that you create in
AS3.... or in my case i was doing _box.addChild(newGrid)

How can I Create custom pop up dialog box with question/answer

I need to create a pop up dialog box that asks a question and accepts an answer input. The form needs to be able to be emailed out (not server based) Can someone help me do this? I am a designer, with very (Very!) limited coding skills. Looks like the windjack program that I keep running into does not work with Acrobat X.

I am not able to help you with the current method you are using - which seems an odd one in that you are using a menu script to do this????
I would have done the page completely differently - instead of slicing it up into a vastly complex table, I'd have added the image to the page and then used an imagemap. Then I'd have used this script to add the popups (as toolitps) that you can be as simple or as complex as you wish: http://boxover.swazz.org/.

Create an e-commerce site with iWeb?

I know iWeb has some e-commerce features like the ability to place Google Ads, but I want to create a full e-commerce site with features like an ordering page that takes paypal and credit cards, autoresponders, a pop-up form on the home page that offers to subscribe visitors to my newsletter, possibly a popup that asks visitors if they really want to leave without subscribing, etc. These advanced features are beyond my capability to learn easily, and I understand that I should be willing to hire someone to do this if I ultimately want to earn some money. BUT, what if I want to create the site in iWeb? Would I have to hire an HTML expert who’s familiar with iWeb? Is iWeb up to this task or should I use a different editor for this purpose?
