Create Custom data_domain in Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca

Hi all
I integrated EBS with Oracle Endeca information discovery with the help of the following document Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.2 V4 (Doc ID 1574273.1).
I am little aware to create custom data loading using endeca integrator.
I need to know is there any possibility to create custom data_domain using Integrator in Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca.
Using the webs ervices data domains are created in the Endeca server.
Below mentioned port numbers are displayed in the doc.
7001 Oracle Endeca WL Managed Server
7002 Oracle Endeca WL Domain Admin Server
7004 Oracle Endeca Studio UI WL Managed Server
7005 Oracle Endeca Integrator WL Domain Admin Server
7006 Oracle Endeca Integrator Server UI WL Managed Server
7011-8011 Oracle Endeca Server Internal Data Domains
webservices url will be like http://hostname:port/endeca-server/ws/admin Like.
I need to know the port number for this url. Kindle help me regarding this webservices
Kindly suggest me ASAP.

We got error like this.

But not able to find the postSetup.sh script at /u01/Oracle/quickInstall path which is use to perform following task:
1. Create JNDI: Create JNDI data source for Oracle Endeca Studio Portal and Clover to obtain a connection to the Oracle
2. Create DD: Create a default data domain profile for the dgraph processes to tune the performance of the integrator graphs.
I think this script is missing from the Oracle E-Business Suits Extensions for Oracle Endeca Server Quick Install for linux installable:
Please suggest.
Please refer doc id 1614014.1 page 9 step 5,6 of b) Perform post-setup steps.

After the integration while login to endeca server with ebs user.
while clicking the application "The data source for this component is currently unavailable" error showing.
Please help me to fix this issue.

Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.1.3.4 Installation

Hi All,
Previously we installed Oracle Extension for Endeca 2.3 for ChRM Claims on Linux Server but showing something went wrong with it. Now we are planning to install/upgrade with its recent version. Our main approach is also include the "budget dashboard" on EBS. For these we are referring the article id 1562372.1 for installation.
So is these good approach to de-install version which we installed previously and re-installed the complete set installation with recent version? QuickInstall package i.e E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.1.3.4 Generic V39077-01.
E-Business Suite Extensions Oracle Endeca Server Quick Install for Linux x86-64 V39078-01.
Is there any effect on EBS if we do so?
Because we installed different patches for previous installation and as per the doc id 1562372.1 we need to apply some more different patches for these installation.
Or Is there any approach to to upgrade E-Business Suite Extensions Oracle Endeca which we installed previously?
Please help me to regarding these I am very new to these.

Windows 7 is NOT certified as an application/database tier node, the list of certified Windows OS can be found in (Note: 761567.1 - Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit)). So, download the Windows version of the 12.1.1 files from e-Delivery website and install it on a certified OS.

Hello Srini,
Prerequisite for creating a BOM is that Assembly and Components item should be created in your master organization and associated to your organization.
Responsibility Bills of materials > Bills > Bills : in the header block, you enter the assembly, in the detail block, you enter components and quantity of components to build the assembly.
You have to create you BOM levle by level .

Creating custom user event. Event more suited for this situation than occurences or notifiers?

Okay, Heres my situation. I have lets say 4 windows which plot data from a common data source. Now I only want the data read and displayed on the graph when an aquire button is pressed on one of the graph. So data is constantly aquired by only added to the array connected to the graphs on each form until the 1 aquire button is being pressed.
I was thinking the best way todo this would be for the one form with the aquire button to raise an event that would cause all the other forms to grab the data point. I was thinking an event loop because the user can manipulate the graph window and to prevent polling I thought an event loop would be the best. I figure I could use o
ccurences but again that would cause polling. I could use notifiers because I think that would allow me to send the data point with the notification but again i think there would still be polling.
Does anyone have any examples or easy instructions how to raise an event that I have created? Do you think this is the best way to handle this situation?

I am not sure I completely understand the application, however I think your best bet would be notifiers.
Take a look at the attached VIs. I am using the notifier to pass data from the main VI to the 2 SubVIs. By using Wait on Notification I do not have to poll at all. In addition I used the event structure in the main VI so I would not have to poll for the button press either.

It depends on how many nodes and how many languages you have.

Can you please clarify the below query on Endeca,
After installing Endeca, I ran Full Graph Load for EAM module as per the document - Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.1 V5 (Doc ID: 1683053.1)
EBS Database mount point was filled up while it is running. Will Endeca data be stored in EBS database itself, if so how can we estimate the free space required for each product.

Downloading demo version of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i

I am planning to take 11i E-Business Suite Essentials for Implementers certification exam in a short while. I am presently self-studying the courseware. I do not feel a need to take an Oracle University class for this purpose.
Is there any place where I can download a demo version of 11i Suite, with a dummy database, which I can play with in order to get a better feel of the application?

Is it possible to just create an EUL in my E-Business Suite 12.1.3 database (DB version is 11g R2) and use the latest version of Discoverer Desktop to connect to it and generate reports without having to install Fusion Middleware?

The question is answered, so thank you. Since it is related, I want to ask the question here:
I installed
Oracle BI Discoverer Administrator - version 11.1.1.3.0
Oracle BI Discoverer Desktop - version 11.1.1.3.0
I was able to export from an old version (4i) and import it into a newly created EUL in my E-Business Suite 12.1.3 database (DB version 11.2.0.2 64-Bit), so I am able to login with the EUL user in Administrator, but I am not able to connect with an Application User using Discoverer Desktop.
I followed the document "Using Discoverer 11.1.1 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 1074326.1]"
In Desktop -> Options -> Connections; "Connect to application EULs" is selected since the EUL I created was for Application Users ONLY.
Gateway UserID/password: applsyspub/pub
Foundation Name: apps
I get the infamous error message:
"Unable to connect to: APPSUSERNAME@PROD
Failed to connect to database - Unable to connect to Oracle Applications database: invalid username/password."
If I change the option -> Connections to "Connect to both standard and applications EULs" I CAN login into Desktop using APPS/APPS@PROD or EUL5_US/EUL5_US@PROD, but I cannot see any of the imported Workbooks from the database.
Can you please advise as to what maybe wrong? Is this version of Discoverer certified with 12.1.3 on a 64-Bit Linux system? Could that be the reason?

As we know we can create custom color in oracle forms and process to create is
Creating Custom colors :
a)Go to Tools->Preferences. In General Tab On the Color Mode drop-down, select Editable then exit Forms builder.
b)Restart forms builder.
c)Open up a canvas window, then go to Format->Layout Options->Color Palette.
d)select any colour on the palette and edit it
say we created a color with rgb value r0g0b100 i edit the from rgb value to FrameColor.Therefore my new custom color name wil be "*FrameColor"*
Is there any way to know the rgb value after changing Name?

To see the rgb value you must have set the colour palette to be editable. Then open the colour palette select the custom colour you want to see the value of then click on the Edit button where you will be able to see the rgb value for that colour.
In 10g
Set to Editable
Edit -> Preferences -> change colour mode to Editable -> Exit form builder
Add Custom Colour
Re-open the form
Open a canvas
Edit -> Layout Options -> Colour Palette
Select a colour to edit by clicking on an undefined colour i.e. a white square on the bottom far left of the palette
In the current colour dialog it will say something like custom5 change it to a more meaningful name you can call it the rgb value
Then click on rename -> then Edit -> change the rbg value to the colour you want to add-> click OK
Export the custom colour palette
From the canvas -> Edit -> Export -> Colour Palette -> give it a name
