Hi All,
I want to creating hyperlinks for the Chapter references in another chapter. Is there any easy way to scripting this.
Using InDesign CS5.5/Javascript/Windows.
How to indentify the Text Objects has already been hyperlinked. ?

Steps:
1. Open all the documents [all chapters]
2. First create hyperlink....Sources for all documents [using loop][Unique naming conversion]
3. Then add hyperlinkDestinations [using loop]

Having trouble getting text hyperlinks between articles to work when uploaded to the iPad, the hyperlink was created from text with a navto:articlename url in the hyperlinks panel. I am using CS5.5 and folio builder 1.1.3, if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial which is relevant to my problem that would be great. I think I am doing everything correctly but alas it just wont work.

I created a word document with hyperlinks. When my default browser is Chrome the hyper links work. When the default browser is Safari, the hyperlinks bring to pages that just lines and lines of symbols. I need these links to work in both browsers.

Creating an open document/hyperlink

Hello...I am trying to create an Open Document hyperlink on my report. I am currently using Crystal Reports XI.
My main report is getting sent out in PDF and is a summary version of our inventory items. I want the user to be able to click on the Item Number and another report will open with the details for that Item Number only.
Below is the URL that I have created

How to create a relationship between documents

Can you create a relationship between documents so in case the user requests one file he will also be prompted to download the other related file as well automatically

Your solution (use class CL_BINARY_RELATION) returns the same error message, because this class is used in FM BINARY_RELATION_CREATE.
In the end I found that solution is to use as relationtype (ORBRELTYP-RELTYPE = 'ASGN').

But we can find the same functionality for trade promotions overlap, the messages raised when two or more tradepromotions overlap, provide us with hyperlink through which we can navigate to that particular object id.

Hyperlink to documents

Is there a way to create a button with a hyperlink to an external document? In presentations I flip between the presentation and worksheets in Excel. In PowerPoint I can do that on a button on the individual slide, but Keynote will only show slide, email, other preso, or end preso. Any ideas? I'm using Keynote 09.

You can access PDF documents directly from a link if you turn on the machines local web server, and place the documents in the appropriate web hosting folder. This works for PDF documents because they will render in Safari, whereas Office documents won't.
An alternative is to use application switching to flip between documents and presentation. Open the Excel file(s) you want to use, then, when the presentations is running, use Command-Tab to switch to these open documents, and Command-Tab to switch back.

Hyperlinks between RH projects linked with FM books

HI, I want to link multiple framemaker books to robohelp and use each book as a child project in a master project. However, there are multiple hyperlinks between the framemaker books. I have created individual RH projects, and linked a single book to each project. I generated them all into a master project (as usual), but the hyperlinks between the projects (that worked fine between the PDFs generated from the original Framemaker books) are broken in the output. I check the html of the hyperlinks in RH, and while the text is recognized as a hyperlink, the href tag is missing.
Note: All links with target and destination in the same book / project work fine.
I could create a single book containing all these books, and then link this book to FM, and this would probably avoid the issue, but it wouldn't be a good solution as I would then have workflow / source control issues. Also, I would obviously prefer not to have to manually repair the links in RH, due to time contstraints.
Any suggestions?

How long a path length are you looking at for the linked FM documents? It turns out that RH is very sensitive to the length of the paths that make up the cross-references in FM when turning them into hyperlinks in RH.

Is there a way to create hyplinks in documents automatically with firefox, as you can with IE?

Is there a way to create hyperlinks "automatically with Firefox, as you can with IE (with, for example, Ctrl + K, then go to the website, then back to the document, and it automatically populates the url)?

If you create the folders as a child within the main pictures folder, then they will show up in the app separately. I have many folders with pictures in.
You will need to move the photos manually - they will automatically go in the Camera folder.

Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document. I have CS3

Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document. I have CS3 Web Premium with Acrobat Professional 8. I use it fine on my old computer with Windows XP. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7. I installed all my Adobe programs, and I think they are working. When I look at Adobe PDF in the device section of the Control Panel it looks okay. But when I try to print a Word, Photoshop, or HTML page in PDF, nothing happens. I have tried printing both as File>print and using the PDF tab on the top menu bar. I look at the device in the control panel and it has the yellow error warning symbol and suggests trying to troubleshoot. I look at the document list and it says status "error". When I try troubleshooting Windows suggests doing some Home Sharing and also suggests canceling the document I'm trying to print. I tried re-installing just Acrobat 8 from CS3 (and have to use Photoshop CS4 disk for shared documents I guess). I ran into a can't locate adobepdf_dll file, so did a web search on this issue and found a suggestion that I find and use the adobepdf_dll_64 file and may have to (I did have to) remove the "_64" for it to work. I think I successfully reinstalled using that dll file- no errors came up anyway. But still when I try printing/converting a photoshop, webpage, or word document into pdf, the pdf device in control panel still gives the error status on the document and gives the same troubleshooting advice. Help?

I just compared the properties between the two computers. On the old computer it has the port as "My Documents/*.pdf". On my new computer it lists the port as "LPT1". I tried changing the port to "Print as File", but when I try printing a photoshop picture as pdf, I get a "Access Denied". I then tried to create a new port on the device control panel. I tried to create a local port "My Documents/*.pdf" port but was denied. I ten tried to create a new port type and control panel asked for an INF file. I wonder if this is where my problem lies. Thoughts?

LSMW me51n, how to create one PR document for all the records in the file

I need to create LSMW for t-code me51n -Create Purchase Requisition. I`m using Bapi BUS2105, method CREATEFROMDATA, idoc message type PREQCR, basic type PREQCR03. The problem is that the LSMW is creating different idoc and different PR document for every record in the source file. My requirement is to create one PR document for one source file (Every source file is different Purchase Requisition) . I`m trying to do this with writing some code(global functions ) in the 'Mapping and conversion rules' events - BEGINOF_TRANSACTION_, ENDOF_TRANSACTION__..., but i`m not very sure what exactly i`m doing .
Please help me resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated .

But I have found faster way of doing it - two source structures, one HEADER and ONE ITEM.
HEADER: one empty text field and identificator for it.
ITEM: everything else.
Then everything was just fine, i`ve mapped the different IDOC segments by PREQ_ITEM fields (equal values in the source file : 10-10-10..., 20-20-20,.... etc.) and put all required fields for my LSMW

Creating a new document on the fly?

Is there a way to create a new document when adding a hyperlink to an existing document, directly from the 'insert hyperlink' menu in CS5? I've googled, i've looked through the help, and can't seem to find anything. This feature existed on Frontpage 98, so I can't imagine it can't be done in a Dreamweaver version 15 yrs newer .
I'm in an existing document adding text and I want to add a link to a new page..because as I'm typing I realize a new page is in order. In frontpage a million years ago, I could choose 'insert hyperlink' and one of the options was to 'create new page', so it would insert the hyperlink and create a new blank page at the location specified in the link, named based on what I chose when creating the link. Then later, I could go back and edit that page to add the appropriate content. It's incredibly inefficient to have to create the new page first, and then go back to the document and add the hyperlink
If this doesn't exist, is there a way to add a custom command to the right click menu or the create hyperlink menu?

In my workflow, I create all my site pages first. When I'm done, I create my site wide navigation inside the main template.dwt file and populate changes to child pages. Or, I put my site wide navigation inside a server-side include.

While creating a billing document

Hi All,
I have a sales order, say with 3 line items with 3 different customer groups.
Now i am creating a billing document for this order using the transaction VF01.
As the Order has 3 items with 3 different customer groups, system is splitting each line item and creating 3 invoices.
My requirement is that, what ever may be the customer groups of the items in sales order, i want to cretae only one billing document per sales order.

Initially we are prompting user to enter Customer group at item level, so that the corresponding Business area can be populated as per the mapping between them. But if customer group is different for each line item, at the time of invoice creating it is creating multiple invoices.
So we did in this way,
Instead of using Customer group, we used another field 'Product heirarchy' at product heirarchy. While creating a material we are prompting to provide Product heirarchy. depending on Product heirarchy we are populating Business depending on their mapping.

AP Credit Memo and Good return, creates differences between TB and Stock Audit Report

Hello Experts,
Did any one has ever faced an issue, whereby AP Credit Memo and Good Return creates discrepancy between journal entry and the stock audit report?
Here is the scenario:

The difference is actually due to the moving average, but the strange part is why the difference is not posted in the journal entry, in the Price different account?
This makes the stock account amount to be different from the Trial Balance and the Stock Audit Report.
And this is applied also on the Good Return transaction.

Price & Item cost are different.
while making goods return , Direct AP Credit Note, Sales Delivery, Direct AR Invoice, stock is going outside.
In these transactions Journal entry will happen for Item cost and not Item sales or Purchase price.
Please enable item cost field in line level and check whether above formulae is matching with Item, cost field.
Then what is the importance of price in these documents??
Price is the agreed selling or purchase price for trading with Customer and supplier.
In your example
You are returning back material worth 105000(as per moving average price), but supplier is supposed to give only you 102,000.
