How to create Inbound Idoc from XML file-Need help urgently
Hi,
can any one tell how to create inbound Idoc from XML file.
we have xml file in application server Ex. /usr/INT/SMS/PAYTEXT.xml' we want to generate inbound idoc from this file.we are successfully able to generate outbound XML file from outbound Idoc by using the XML port. But not able to generate idoc from XML file by using we19 or we16.
Please let me know the process to trigger inbound Idoc with out using XI and any other components.
Thanks in advance
Dora ReddyHi .. Did either of you get a result on this?
My question is the same really .. I am testing with WE19 and it seems SAP cannot accept an XML inbound file as standard.
I see lots of mention of using a Function Module.
Am I correct in saying therefore that ABAP development is required to create a program to run the FM and process the idoc?
Or is there something tht can be done with Standard SAP?
Thanks

IDOC from One System to another
Hi All,
I am sending idocs from one system to another For Eg System A to System B .
Now suppose 2 idocs are generated 1 and 2.
Now how to determine , for idoc 1 in system A, what is the corresponding Inbound Idoc in System B because the data which is coming in System B might be different than in System A for the same Idoc?
Thanks in Advance.Hi,
direction 1 for outbound idoc,
2 for inbound idoc,
goto tcode WE02
enter direction - 2.
creation date
and basic type i.e. idoc type
double click on an idoc num.
on L.H.S u have 'Control REc' double click on it..
it contains all the sender details and to what outbound idoc it corressponds to -> basic type, message type
-> Partner details like partner num, port, partner type
-> date & time of creation
-> and the other details

Howto make created folders/ files from one teacher, read only for other teachers?
Hello there,
as an admin @ school I was wondering how to make created folders/ files from one teacher, read only for other teachers?
- In a 2008domain, created a group "teachers"
- created a folder "teacher data" where all teachers have read/write permissions
ideal,a teacher who make's a folder in "teacher data" should be the only oen who is able to add file's to that folder and dele that folder or files. Other teachers may be able to read the content of the folder.
Is this possible to set up and how?
many thanks.
Nico.
rdsHi Nico,
You could set the permissions below to resolve the issue:
For the root folder "teacher data": give the full control permission to CREATOR OWNER – "Subfolders and files only" and give the read/write permissions to the group "teachers"– "This folder only".

Mandy

Creating multiple links from one map image in Flash CS4
I have been tasked with creating multiple links from one map image using flash. Each link would go to the main website page with that location. I assume I could create a button for each location on the map but not having a lot of experience any help / tutorial you know of would be super helpful.. Thanks! Not looking for someone to work me thru it but a little guidance would be great!
If I was to answer the problem, I would be giving you what you asked not to be given... the solution. So I'll suggest that you start by researching the getURL() function. That is what AS2 uses for opening web pages.
As for coding a button, I'll recommend the following article for you... it will explain the proper approach to coding a button, which will give you an advantage over others who don't follow it, but instead use the way the article says not to.
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/as_bestpractices_04.html
Google is one of the best resources available for learning how to do things with Flash--it's the first place I go when I have a wondering. In general, if you type in the right keywords, you get fairly good search results. In your case, combinations of "AS2", "button", "getURL", "tutorial" would probably work well. -
Send idoc from one version of R/3 to different version
Hi All,
I have a scenario to send idocs from one R/3 system to another (both have different versions) .Can anyone tell me the step by step way to configure. Do I need to program anywhere to send or receive idocs Any help is really appreciated
Thanks
MichaelHi michael,
The version change technique allows you to exchange idocs with systems using the older version of idocs.
For this v have to configure the sending system to generate back level idoc for receiving system using the partner profile. configuring the partner profile is enough to send idocs in this scenario.
Regards....
Arun.

Why does it take so long to go from one message to another, always says not responding
I will download all of the incoming messages fine, but to go from one message to another it always takes
forever, and in the top header it always comes up not responding.Size of folder can cause slow performance.
As I do not know how you organise emails nor actual size of folders, can you do the following in the order stated..
'''1'''. Organise emails into various folders.
'''2'''. Archive messages that are older than eg: 3 months.
To set up Archiving options:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages
I would suggest you Archive by month and year and select to maintain folder structure. This means these emails will still be visible via the Folder Pane, just in a different folder under 'Archives'. You can see my 'Archives folder in the image below. Archiving reduces the size of folders, so using less memory to open them.
'''3.''' Move all good emails from Inbox to other folders
'''4.''' Delete all unwanted emails in Inbox.
'''5.''' When inbox is empty - right click on Inbox folder and select 'Compact'.
Whilst it is not necessary to normally empty the Inbox prior to compacting, it is a good idea to do this if you are starting to get issues with that folder.
Background info:
When you delete a email, it is 'marked as deleted' and from your point of view it is removed from eg: inbox and placed in 'Trash'/ 'deleted' folder. In reality, it is still in the Inbox taking up space and 'marked as deleted'.
Compacting removes 'marked as deleted' emails.
So, you should compact folders on a regular basis to remove those 'marked as deleted' emails. This includes Junk folder. The Inbox may need more compacting than other folders as it gets more activity.
General useage:
Advisable to keep the Inbox low in email numbers and use as an inbox for incoming messages and not as a general storage for older mail.
I use an addon to help me know the size of my folders, which I have found to be very useful. See image below.
Extra folder Columns addon - I only enable the 'Size' column, so it doesn't use much space.
* https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/extra-folder-columns/
how to install an addon extension:

JDBC to Idoc mapping - create multiple Idocs from 1 JDBC input
I am importing data using JDBC and I want to put the data in an IDoc on a SAP system. my data is about 100,000 rows, but my Idoc (ZIDOC) is defined as 1-35,000 for the segments. I have followed Ossnote 814393, and also set up my Interface Mapping to use my JDBC source and the Idoc as the target. In my Message Mapping, i use the source as my JDBC Message Type, and the target is my External Definition Idoc (changed to be 1 to unbounded).
My incoming JDBC mapping is:
JDBCinput (1:1)
-row (0...Unbounded)
-part (1:1)
-unit (1:1)
-type (1:1)
my outgoing Idoc (from external definition) is:
ZIDOC (1:1)
-IDOC (1...Unbounded)
-Begin (required)
-EDI_DC40 (1:1)
-Zsegment (1...35,000)
-part (1:1)
-unit (1:1)
-type (1:1)
I currently map JDBCinput = ZIDOC and IDOC, row = Zsegment, and the rest of the rows match.
When I use this mapping, my first 35,000 rows from my JDBC input gets mapped to ZIDOC with 35,000 segments, but the remaining 65,00 rows from my JDBC input just seem to be lost, as only this one ZIDOC is created. I would expect to see 3 Idocs created, 2 with 35,000 segments each, and the 3rd Idoc created with 30,000 segments.
Does anyone know what I need to change to get this mapping to work and create the extra needed Idocs? Can this be done with out using a BPM?
Any guidance?
Thanks
JakeHI,
Just try out with context change and check if it works
In this type of case, it is easy to use Java mapping so that you can generate target structures as you like.
Hope this helps,

Get the mapping values from one message mapping into another message mappin
Hi All,
I created two graphical message mappings. In first message mapping i created one user defined function and set one global container parameter and I need to use this parameter in my second message mapping user defined function. But the global container parameters can be used in different user defined functions in same message mapping. So is there any way to use the values which are set in one message mapping into another message mapping. If yes, please help me how to get?Hi Koteswara rao,
As you said global container parameters from first message mapping are not accessible from second message mapping program.
i haven't faced situation like this.but, if you have some unmapped field in target message in first message mapping, you can put global variables data in that unmapped field.
anyway the output of first message mapping would be input for 2nd messages mapping,so you can access global data(unmapped field filled with global data in 1st MM) from 2nd mapping program..
Cheers,

Creating JCo IDoc from flat file structure
Hi,
I need to send an IDoc into SAP using JCo.
The input to my program is a string containing lines representing a flat file idoc, e.g.
Line 1="EDI_DC40 2 ORDERS04.."
Line 2="E1EDK01 00000100000001 USD..."
Line 3="E1EDK14 0000030000000...."
Is there a simple way to use JCo to create & send the IDoc?
i.e.
1) If I use JCo and RFC IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS, what would be all the steps/calls to SAP (create TID, call IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS, confirm TID..?)
And can IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS be called using the flat file structures (without having to map to all the JCo ParameterList fields)? Since the flat file structures are in the format required by the RFC, just in one long string.
Line 1=>IDOC_CONTROL_REC_40
Lines 2..n=>IDOC_DATA_REC_40
2) Similarly, if I were to use JCo plus the JCO IDoc library, is there a way to pass the flat file structures without having to do all the mapping to segment fields?
3) Other options..?
I want to use ALE to SAP, not files, even though the input is in the flat file structure.Your reply gives a link to the general JCo documentation.
It doesn't give ideas on how to call an RFC or IDoc from JCO without mapping each and every field from a flat file structure.
I'm looking for a way to do something like this:
Function IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS has table parameters
IDOC_CONTROL_REC_40 STRUCTURE EDI_DC40
IDOC_DATA_REC_40 STRUCTURE EDI_DD40
Since I have the flat file representation of the IDoc, the first line should overlay exactly onto the EDI_DC40 structure. And the subsequent lines should overlay onto EDI_DD40. (all fields in this RFC are strings)
However JCO and JCO IDoc library seem very strongly typed, so it looks like I would have to map each field from the flat file structure to a field in the JCO Function or JCO IDoc object.
This could be done in a generic way using the function/idoc metadata, however there would still be some overhead.
Is there a way to get round this, and build the function/idoc treating its parameters as one long string? -
IDOC bundling number of idocs in one message
Hi
I am using IDOC bundling where I have one message with around 33,000 idocs inbound to PI. Can i break the number of idocs per message so that I can have 5,000 idocs in each message. Is there a paremeter that needs to be changed create a recordset of 5,000 idocs per message or less?
Also Can I do IDOC packaging when sending the above 33,000 IDOCs to SAP ?
Please advise.
Thanks,
TeresaHi Raj,
My connectivity is JDBC - PI - SAP.
I execute a stored procedure to pick up line items and do graphical mapping to conver to IDOCS. According to you the best way is to pick less line items at a time and conver to IDOCs?
Can i do IDOC packaging at sender side in my scneario though i am already doing IDOC bundling?
Thanks,
Teresa -
Sending idoc from one r3 system to another r3 system
Hi
I want to send the idoc from system A to system B only (not from B to A). Then is it need ports in both the systems or only in one system ?? If it is on one system..... on which system port is needed ?? (A or B) ?? similarly RFC destinations also......whether it needs one or two ??
thanks
kumarHi seshu,
thanks for your reply !! once you create the rfc destination and after that if you create the port for that rfc destination............whether port will be created for the source system side or target system side. ??
thanks

When I do an export for an IDOC from my one XI server to be able to import it into another I get the error below. The funny thing is that it works perfectly for my COND_A idoc but not at all for DEBMAS and MATMAS idoc.
Any ideas?
