Create online presentation

Hello!
I am rather new to flash, but I purchased it in a suite just
to get the dreamweaver and fireworks some time ago. My question is,
if it is possible to create a power-pointlike presentations (I E
text-based), and add some audio to it, in flash? Or should I
purchase captivate to do something like that?
Your help would be highly appreciated.

I just did what you're talking about and I went with #1. I
imported the audio and images into Flash and created, basically, a
linear presentation with audio cues. This presenation was
originally in PowerPoint, but when running off a CD, the audio cues
got messed up so I suggested we try it in Flash.
The first attempt looked great and I learned some tricks to
make the next one a lot cleaner but the whole presentation looked
and worked great. Now I have a presentation that will run as a .swf
file, .mov file, will run on a PC locally or off the Internet and
I've converted it to a DVD format to run on a DVD player and
standard TV. It's awesome. Plus, I haven't tried it yet but it
should also convert to iTunes to play on an iPod. Now our
presentations can run on just about any platform.
My next task (and the one I'm struggling with now) is to use
the Slide Presentation feature of Flash. Building the slides are as
simple now as in PowerPoint. I'm just working out some timing
issues.

On March 31, we starting experiencing this issue across our entire domain. We have not made any changes to our network configuration. We are using the same ISP, routing hardware, computer hardware, software versions and group policy settings as we were on March
30.
The issue appears to be related to network connectivity.
Here is what I have found so far:
We have three networks in our building and two ISPs.
Network-A uses ISP-A and is affected by the issue. Network-A is our corporate domain.
Network-B uses ISP-B and is affected by the issue.
Network-C uses ISP-B and is not affected by the issue.
If I take a Network-A domain member and launch PowerPoint while connected to Network-A and ISP-A I am unable to upload PowerPoint presentations.
If I connect the same computer to Network-C, the issue persists.
If I close PowerPoint, connect to Network-C, and reopen PowerPoint while connected to Network-C, I am able to upload presentations.
A non-domain computer is affected by the issue if PowerPoint is opened while connected to Network-A or Network-B, but unaffected if PowerPoint is launched while connected to Network-C. Again, in this scenario, switching connections while PowerPoint is open
has no effect.
The issue appears to be caused during PowerPoint start-up and not while attempting to share a document.
Microsoft is either unwilling or unable to find a resolution and has finally resorted to simply ignoring my calls, voicemails, emails, and ticket requests regarding this issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The problem seems to have fixed itself, the computer may just have needed to be restarted.

Adobe online presentation for sales people

Hello,
Do you know if Adobe has a product similar to Prezi?
We are looking for an on-line presentation tool for our sales people. The Adobe tool should enable us to upload company ppt. template and edit it. It must have features such as transitions, effects, multimedia, import/export flexibility and to play videos. We want to access it any time online / offline protected by a password (or to be sure that data are secured). The output should be innovative, eye catching and interesting for our customers. Please let me know if Adobe Presenter or any other Adobe tool is suitable / available.

Presenter with Adobe Connect would be the closest option that I know of. But Prezi it is not. More work will be needed when creating a Presenter presentation. PPT would handle the transitions and effects. Presenter can have videos imported, not sure what you want with the export option. Connect would be able to provide online viewing at any time, and you could publish it to PDF with Presenter for offline viewing. Password protection would be available through Connect or you could secure the PDF. The 'eye catching' ability of Presenter would primarily rest on the strength of the PPT deck. Presenter can just dress it up with audio/video/Flash content and then make it available over the web.
You can get a 30 day trial of Presenter and Connect on their product pages. You might also want to look at Captivate, but it may be a bit much of a transition, since it doesn't work with PPT as seamlessly as Presenter.

I created a presentation and it will let me open it from my computer. But when I download it, it wont let me open it. What is up?

Generally, when you install Lync 2013 in the computer with Office 2010, a Lync Meeting Add-in will be installed and enabled in Outlook 2010. Please follow these steps to check it:
1. In Outlook, click the File tab, click Options, and then click
Add-Ins.
2. Please take one of the following actions:
If the add-in is in the Inactive Application Add-ins list, follow these steps:
a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
b. Click to select the check box next to the add-in, and then click OK.
The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should be available when you create a new calendar item.
If the add-in is in the Disabled Application add-ins list, follow these steps:
a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
Disabled Items, and then click Go.
b. Select the add-in, and then click Enable.
c. Restart Outlook, and then verify that the add-in is displayed in the

Hi Gurprit,
A null value is being passed at runtime. Make sure that you enter values when filling in the form.
Also check for the cardinality of the nodes being used. You can also initiliaze your value attributes as follows:

Keynote 6 is compatible with Mavericks only, your profile states you are using Snow Leopard, if thats the case use Keynote version 5 and all will work as before.

Would iWork be a good tool to create a presentation for CD or DVD?

I need to create a presentation for a supermarket about their new promotion, but I only have the preinstalled mac software on my Mac Pro, plus I have adobe creative suit and Final cut studio. With the Adobe software which includes: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks and Acrobat, I think I could use dreamweaver or Acrobat to create the presentation in a html or acrobat file, but I wonder if iWork won't be better. What do you normally use for presentations?

As far as I know, you can't create a slideshow that plays on a dvd player in Photoshop.
You can do it using Nero (it will create a slideshow for you before burning it onto cd/dvd) or if you want to make it the way you like it, use Adobe Premiere Pro/Encore CS4.

I then started a Web Case and haven't hear a word. Every time Create PDF Online inserts a red service alert, my heart almost stops because I know I am going to get into trouble. This has all happened before. This red alert saying Users of Adobe PDF Online may experience an interruption in service between 5:00pm and 6:30pm PST on 1/14/11, while maintenance activities are being performed. This red alert has been going on for a lot longer than this recent alert. There has been a red Service alert on the page for that three weeks. I was able to create files without a problem. But now, I am welcomed to my email address, however my five free trials have ended and I am asked to subscribe. I am paid up until the next transaction date of 01/26/2011. My free trials ended back in 2007 if not earlier when I subscribed to this Online PDF service.

I'm having the same issue. When I log in it says my trial has expired. But I have been a subscriber since 2007. And so far I have lost a whole days worth of work trying to figure out what is wrong with it. I have not yet found a way to log in as a subscriber. Adobe please fix the issue. I will cancel my subscription if the problem persists, I'm not paying $119.88 for something that is not going to work or help my buisness.

Create a presentation with Dreamweaver..HOW?

Guys, I know it is feasible, but I'd like your comments and suggestions.
Today, I'd like to create a presentation that will be given to people on either a cd or s DVD. It is a wedding "Thank you" gift to guests, who came to my wedding.
I'd like something that they would insert in their computer, that would start automatically, and where they'll a main page (with text) and have a menu to choose from (video clips, and various photo albums).
Would be nice if it could be working on a dvd player as well.
I am pretty sure I have to build my main page like a webpage, with links to the various items (photo gallery, video gallery, etc). That I would know as
I have done numerous websites.
However, once the site done, what do I do to make the cd/dvd starts itself automatically, and take the people to my main page?
You see what I want to acheive? Should I use another program?
I want something really neat for my guests...
Is it the same to create a dvd with a menu and all?
If anybody has suggestions, it is more than welcome.

Using a text editor, like Notepad, open a new file and type the following into the document:
[AutoRun]
shellexecute=yourfirstpage.htm
*yourfirstpage.html being the name of the page you want to open automatically (usually index,.html)
Save this file as: autorun.inf
into the directory where the index.html is located
Once you have set up all the relevant files, the same as creating a webpage, burn the lot to a CD and it should autorun.

Looking for Best Program to Create Online Training Lessons

I'm looking to purchase some software to create online
training lessons. The lessons would consist of screen shots, dialog
boxes, narration, possibly animation. Given that Captivate has
Flash, I'm hopeful that it would do the trick and be somewhat
user-friendly given that I'm not a programmer. If there are other
Adobe products or products made by another company that you could
recommend, I'd be in your debt.

If you're creating software training, I agree Captivate is
the best tool
around. A close second for that type of training is Camtasia.
They both
can output to SWF. Captivate can also output to .FLA for
editing in
Flash directly (and version 2.0 supposedly handles this a lot
better
than 1.0). I'm not sure if Camtasia can export to .FLA...
If your training courseware may extend beyond software,
perhaps into
things like process or conceptual training, Authorware may be
a better
solution. However as it's a much more fully-featured, true
'authoring'
program, the learning curve is a bit steeper.

Can I create a presentation in iPhoto that will combine still slides and video?

I have just returned from a safari and have a lot of pictures and videos from the trip. I would like to create a presentation/slide show that will show the slides and also videos in the same slide show and allow me to manually pace the show. I know how to do this in PowerPoint but would rather use a more natice mac ap and thought it might be possible in iMovie or iPhoto but am not sure exactly what the best way to do this would be.

If you want a native Mac application for your slideshow you could also try Keynote, the Apple alternative to Powerpoint. It will give you similar presentation options.
Aperture - if you have it - would allow to trim the videos, allow more fine control over how the audio of the clips will be mixed, and still allow to manually pace the slideshow, but it is expensive and will no longer be developed. But if you have compatible versions of Aperture and iPhoto, simple open your iPhoto Library in Aperture: Aperture 3.3: Using a unified photo library with iPhoto and Aperture

Can I create multiple presentation templates against one content item?

I want to create multiple presentation templates that publish the same content item in different ways.
As far as I can tell from the publisher GUI this is not possible.
Am I missing something?

It may not be feasible to have two PT associated with a DT technically. But there is a workaround / solution for your requirement. thats what i meant in my prev post.
To accomplish your requirement in a simple fashion try doing this
1) copy the contents of all PT, DT and Content Items with all its folders in the _NEWS (portlet templates) folder to a new folder called 'PortletA' (or) make use of the News portlet template to create a portlet
2) Now modify the DT's and PT's according to your requirement.
3) Create a portlet using "Published Content" webservice and configure the 'Main' to your portlet.
4) if you create and pblish new article, you can find two html's are getting published.
If this doesn't resolve your requirement,
Create two sets of Dt & Pt's. In the article PT, try to add the other Pt as "related items to publish", so on publishing one the other one gets published.

Scorm Content Not Created in Presenter

I have some existing content that i would like to run in
Breeze. When i try to upload the zipped SCORM package, it wont
recognise the zip, despite zip being an accepted file format. The
only thing i can see in the guidance that might be an issue is that
the package files are different and Breeze/Connect requires an
index.html doc, but this is not how the content is packaged in the
content i have.
Has anyone got experience of using content not created using
Presenter? Will it work?

Breeze / Connect Training does not support a SCORM package.
