Create Positions

Hi Experts,
there is some way to create automatically the positions in the organizational model? there is a Badi or function module that do it?
I would be grateful for any tips.

Its not advisable to Transport Organizational Objects from Test Server to Golden Server...as there are many factors involved.....
Still if you want to try doing it..........RHMOVE30 is the Program.... go to SE38 and execute it...
SAP DOCUMENTATION:
This report adds PD objects (no external objects) to the transport task in the 'TRKORR' field and, if necessary, deletes the objects in the source and target systems.
The system transports infotype 1000 records and their dependent infotype records (infotype 1001, etc.) However, you can set an import lock using Customizing in the target system. By doing so, you determine which infotypes are transported.
You can use the selection conditions to select the number of objects and specify that only certain sub-structures are selected (according to the evaluation path).
WARNING:
External objects from table T77EO (such as cost centers or persons) are not transported or deleted.
Internal object types: In the target system, a relationship is only created if the related object already exists.
External object types: A relationship to the external object is always created. That is, the system does not first check that the external object exists (for technical reasons it is not possible to check the existence of external objects because the check cannot be run for cross clients). Exception: If the after-import method is running in the target client, a check can be run because the client is the same.

Unable to create position hierarchy in organization model

I was unable to create position hierarchy in organizational hierarchy. I want to maintain position hierarchy within an organization. But SAP CRM is not allowing that. I was able to create organizational hierarchy. Please let me know, how can I maintain the position hierarchy within the same organization?

Hi hari,
it is only possible to have a hierarchy with two levels on position level. Therefore you create two positions below your organization (tx ppoma_crm). At one of these positions you set the flag "Head of own organizational unit" at the Basic data tab of the position (To see this, you need to display the Details of the positions at the bottom of the screen). Now you can assign a business partner (or more) to this position which is (are) the Head of this unit.
If you need a more complex hierarchy you have to use organizations to show this.

Create Positions in ECC via Portal

Hi,
Currently we are assigning roles to positions in ECC and positions to employees to assign access in Portal (through our automated user provisioning process). Currently we assign roles to positions manually and we dont have any way to check if the correct roles are assigned to the positions in ECC.
What we would like to do is to enable this task via our Portal. So people can create position and assign roles to it in Portal itself and save it back to ECC. Is there any Business Package provides this kind of facility.

Problem In LSMW during creating position

hi all,
my scenrio is i am creating a unit of type O and after this i have to create position for it.
i create a single recording for this. first i create a unit then position will create. but during creating position it will take a object ID of unit. but position has internal range it will assigned internaly but in my case it is taking object id of unit that is been created.
how to get object ID of position???

there is one problem, when i m running my lsmw in my system it is running fine. but when i run my lsmw in other system , in my recording , it automatically assigning object id to the field object id which is blank.

Process and forms; Create position

Hi,
I m developing a process for create position. For this, I need to have Orgunit as a leadobject. So when I start the process, i need to select the org unit then only i can able to select the process "Create Position". Is there any way to create a position with out selecting Org. unit ?

You can change the process if you dont want to create it, dont use the standard one then

Authorization for creating position

Hi Experts,
End user is authorised to create positions.Our basis expert locked the production client ( only display).He told If they want to create positions first they have to create in development then test in quality then to production.
If so they have to create TR then they have to maintain the tables also.It will be problem for them. Is there any better solution for this.

In general once the system is being used by the client OM Part will be configured in Production client , so please request ur PM to grant authorisation to the user for the same

LSMW create positions without updating table T528B?

I created many positions by LSMW,
but, in PA40, I can't assign a person to any one of these LSMW-created positions, system says "position xxxxxxxx is not available in T528B",
I've set integration between PA & OM, if I manually created position in PPOME or PP03, the manually created position could be assigned in PA40
So, how could it happen? SAP's bug or our system's bug?
I have to run report RHINTE10 to update T528B.

Please check if value of p0001-otype is missed in IT0001.
Regarding such case, you need to do integration between PA and PD.
For example:
1) Turned on integration (PLOGI ORGA "X") (same result with integration off in step 2-4)
2) Conversion of organisational structure (O, O-O, O-K) via IDoc
3) Conversion of PA-data via IDoc; one infotype at the time in the following order: IT0, IT1, IT2, IT3, IT302. No position entered in IT1
4) Conversion of position and relations to org units and cost centers and jobs via IDoc
5) RHINTE10 report to update new org units and positions (and jobs) I have also tried this step after step 6 (makes no difference)
6) Turned integration off (PLOGI ORGA " ")
7)Conversion of relation from the position to the person (A008 rel.)
8) Turned integration on again (PLOGI ORGA "X")
9) Run RHINTE30 for the converted persons.
The above is just an example for your reference. For more detail, you need refer to the documentation for integration

How to Create Positions ???? - Help me pls...

This is my first q to this forum...
Im a fresh SAP HR Cons.... I have problem in Creating positions in the Recruitment Module. Following is what I have done. Im using SAP R/3 4.7
Personnel Mgmt -> Recruitment -> Workforce Reqs and Advt --> Create Positions.
Here Im not able to enter the text of the position im creating... Pls let me know if the path is correct or if there is any alternate way to create positions.

Hi Sridhar,
As per concept - Recruitment Module is used to fill the positions which are vacant as defined in OM.
In your case,
first create the required position using PO13 or PPOM_OLD to create the position under the org.Unit , which you need.
Th new Position created by you will be given a 8 digit Obj.Key.
And ensure that the Position's Staffing Status is marked as vacant, using the transaction - PPOME (basic Data tab).
and then come to the recruitment module and create positions for the workforce Requirement and Advertisement, by entering the newly created Position id.
As per IMG help
A company's workforce requirements are represented in the Recruitment system by means of vacancies created and maintained by the user. A user can only create a vacancy if the positions available within the company have already been set up.

Error while creating Positions in Simple Maintenance

While creating a new postion in OM through PPOPM_OLD, I am getting this error " Occupational Identifier(Occid) ___ is invalid" and am not able to create a position.

When you say you're having trouble "opening" the BPM Object, is it possible you instead mean you're having trouble expanding the BPM Object?
Just a guess, but if you're having trouble expanding the BPM Object I'd suspect that the object's xcdl contents might be corrupted. You might want to consider exporting and saving a backup of the project and then try deleting the object from the Project Navigator. Rebuild the BPM Object once you've deleted it.
