Create the 2nd Standby database on Linux from 1st standby database on wind

Hi Experts
I want to create the 2nd Standby database on Linux from 1st standby database on window.....
my 2nd standby database is on mount state, when i try to recover by the given command then its giving errror.
rman > DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE FOR STANDBY DORECOVER NOFILENAMECHECK;
My question is am I able to created it on cross platform....

i tried through goldengate but i didn't able due to clob, long datatype....

Datamover error while creating the peopletools system database

i am using
os=suse linux 12.2
database = db2 9.72
peopletools = 8.53
i am getting the following error while running the datamover script for the peopletools system databse. i have attached the following error for your view plz help me........

thanks for reply anygma,
datamover script created the PS_ACCESS_GRP_LANG table in an back end so i think no need to create that record in an application designer....
And also i edit that datamover script as set start after ACCESS_GRP_LANG now its again return the same error for the next table but in back end the table are created.......

Creating Menu module by creating the menu in database

Hi,
In the properties of a form when i attach a menu module thru file it's fine but i have to attach the menu module.thru database.I know we have to create the menu in the database. but cannot figure out how. Can anyone guide me how this can be done.

 I use xml to generate all input fields. But it's similar to database. xml is a kind of database.
 You can use customer tag to generate the form. Inside the tag class you select the form elements from table and construct the form. It's not difficult.
 If you use javascript take care the difference between the IE and Netscape. You better pass a browserType attribute and deal with them differently.
 You should create form element type carefully. Each element can have question type, name , text, validation class, preceding message and so on. Each element can have a toHtml method.
 for the jsp you can:
 tag to get connection.
 tag for the form
 tag for each form element.
 Hope this can give you some idea.

Several ways. Easiest it probably copy whole iTunes folder to a different location. Start iTunes while holding down the option/alt key, select the iTunes Library.itl file in the duplicated folder then delete what you don't want.
Yu can also create a new, blank library using the above method. Export playlist from library 1, restart iTunes with library 2, import playlist.
I don't have iTunes Match. I'm not sure how it will react to a second library.

For repeat purchases in Purchase Order, it will take the previous Purchase Order price.
For first time purchases, it will ask you for a price, unless you have Info record ready.
In order for the system to NOT ask you for a price during PO creation when you DONT have Info Record ready:
1) Under valuation tab in PR, choose Adopt as Net Price. Once you do this, per line item, the price will be adopted in Purchase Order.
If you cannot find the field above, you need to set Parameter EFB - 01 (configured in OMET) to your/the buyers parameter settings in SU01.

Cannot select a Date in the 2nd week of any month from "Month View"

Looking for some help with a strange problem that has started within the last day or 2. In Calendar, under the Month view, it will not allow me to select a date in the current week (or the second Week dates in ANY Month for that matter i.e. 6-8-08 thru 6-14-08, 8-3-08 thru 8-9-08, 4-6-08 thru 4-12-08). It skips from the 1st week of June (6-1-08 thru 6-7-08), to the 3rd and 4th weeks of June (6-15-08 thru the end of the month). It is like it is not recognizing where my finger is pointing. I can access the current week through the list view and day view, and it will allow me to post an event by choosing the current week in the add option, but will not let me pick that date to view it once it has been scheduled. The dot shows up, and it shows on list view, but cannot get to the date by selecting it in month view. That section of my phone screen will let me access other applications and recognize where I am touching, so I don't believe it is a sensor issue. I have tried rebooting, but it has not helped. Any ideas out there? Please let me know. Thank You! for any guidance.

If the screen is only not responding in that particular application, you may want to first do a reset. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not resolve your issue, try restoring in iTunes. To restore, connect your iPhone into iTunes and click Restore on the Summary page. Note: All of your information will be erased from the iPhone, so make sure to have a backup of important information on your computer before restoring.

Price for 2nd material to be copied from 1st material

Hi Experts,
We have some unique requirement. My client is into service business. Most of our sales documents will be with one material for which price is determined from the condition records.
In few scenarios the cusotmer will also go for additional serive, so the customer service team will key in an additional material in the sales order manually. For the second material the business wants the price to be copied from the first material. Is there any Standard way to configure this? I know we can do this by writing an alternative calcluation type routine, but would like to know is there any standard way to do this?

You can try convincing your users with any of the following approach based on their comfort level:-
1> If you have set PR00 (or base price of your pric proc) as condition type in the pricing procedure determination, you can maintain the value of the same in initial screen itself (on the same row where they enter material) instead of going to conditions tab.
2> Save your sales order with first line item. Then come to VA02 and keep the cursor in second line item. Goto Edit ->Additional function >Propose items or simply Ctrl+F11. On the dialog box, give the current sales order number and click default with quantity option. Then go to the condition amount column by scrolling horizontally and maintain PR00 value.

Create a new Standby db from a backup taken in an existing standby.

Existing 2 sites: PROD (primary)), Local-standby.
Planning to add a 3rd site: Remote-standby
How do you use a full backup taken in the Local-standby (not the primary) to create the Remote-standby?
Any pointers will be appreciated...essentially creating a standby from a standby.
It may be of interest to note that running the "BACKUP CURRENT CONTROLFILE FOR STANDBY" in the Local-standby will error out with:

For folks who may stumble on this thread.
2 hosts - 1 - primary, 2 - local stby
3rd host was being added in the mix.
So, we want to build standby number 3 - DR stby
Aim was to create the DR stby from a backup taken from local stby, W/O affecting primary.
Create backup pieces from local stby (to be made available in DR stby) using "backup device type disk format '/u01/backups' database plus archivelog;"
As mseberg pointed out, take a "backup current controlfile for standby" from primary & make it available in DR stby
startup nomount the DR stby
restore controlfile in DR from step2
catalog the backup taken in step 1
Run the duplicate command from DR as usual, connecting to the primary as target and the DR as auxiliary

To copy the file from the primary, you can use RMAN, or manual hot backup copy with begin backup and end backup mode.

If you want to send Any XML Data to XI( In case of Proxies Used means)
For Testing purpose You can use Your User And Once it went to production means You can Use Service User in the Logon Details( Ask Basis people to create one Service User & Use it)

Unable to create the planning database

Hi,Iam using planning 3.5 and essbase 6.5.I ran the HAL job and created the database at the planning side.But when i try to create the same planning database on essbase by using the Planning full client,iam getting the error stating "Error Detected" on a small "Manage Database" pop-up window.Am i missing anything?or am i doing anything wrong.I would really appreciate your help.TIA..

HI Narven, Are there any level-0 members that are dynamic calc in ur outline. If so try making them stored and then refresh the database. Later on you can change the member name to dynamic calc. Ofcourse, you have to have the member formula for that member. HOpe that helps Sri

Install 2nd instance of Arch Linux without internet connection

I have successfully install a first instance of Arch Linux using Arch Linux ISO + pacstrap + pacman with internet connection.
I have updated to latest package database list (/var/lib/pacman/sync) and package cache files (/var/cache/pacman/pkg) in first instance of Arch Linux with "pacman -Swyu".
Next, I would like to install 2nd instance of Arch Linux without using internet connection.
I share the "/var/lib/pacman/sync" and "/var/cache/pacman/pkg" via NFS from first Arch Linux instance.
I boot the 2nd instance with Arch Linux ISO and attempt to install without internet connection. I mount the two NFS shares from 1st instance to "/var/cache/pacman/pkg" and "/mnt/var/lib/pacman/sync" respectively. I execute
# pacstrap -i -c /mnt"
to start installation.
I found it is almost impossible with current implementation of pacstrap script. The pacstrap script always attempt to update package database list with -Sy option.
I think some amendments on pacstrap script is needed to install Arch Linux without internet connection.

I made the edit by adding the option -o to do what you want.
I am too lazy for a feature request right now...
