Creating a Business Sign in CS3

Question

I have run into a problem I am not sure how to solve. Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated. I have been using CS3 flawlessly for sometime. However I am trying to do something that I am now having problems with. I am trying to design a business sign that is 10 feet (width) by 3 feet (height). I thought this was going to be easy, however I have noticed several things:
1) I do not seem to be able to make my fonts go any higher than 390 points
2) Very slow reaction time to commands
3) When I try to free transform the text, the program puts up an error about runtime
4) Photoshop automatically created a .psb file to save in (I had no idea it existed-now I do after reading a bit). Is this the best way to attack creating the sign or should I try to do it in EPS?
5) If I do it in EPS, will I be able to use photographs as well?
6) Is there an alternate way to do this at a smaller scale and then bump it up to the larger format?
Any suggestions? We really would like to design our sign ourselves if possible so please let us know. Thank you.

Hi Buket,
I  am involved in a music school in New York where the staff tries to  teach the students about becoming a good world citizen and to learn  about different cultures.
How do you consider  yourself a "good world citizen" by calling others 'horrible'? How do you  involve yourself as any sort of mentor for school kids with the  childish insanity you have demonstrated here?
This has  never been about me vs. you. I've never promoted myself as an expert. I  only gave you a suggestion to find an expert.  You can either accept  input you asked for ...or you can go on for an  inordinate number of  posts to demonstrate how much of an insane hypocrite you  are.
The beauty about what I do personally and what our company does is teach children about treating people with respect. You clearly aren't a candidate for such a thing. Glad to see that checking up on my other company activities is such a priority to you. Here's what else you need to know. I warn students about people like you. I advise them and show them how to be the best that they can be and to enjoy the cultures and rich traditions of others in the world. Consider we have college graduates in our alumni who have gone to major colleges successfully AND carry on the tradition of being a good world citizen, I think we've done pretty well.
As far as calling YOU horrible. You demonstrate it with each post. I'm sure it's quite gratifying to your PHOTOSHOP skills to continue to attempt berating me. fortunately, I've seen individuals like you before. By the way, referring to the post you had to search out, we were able to create a video with children from around the world. They learned about each other in a very positive way. A little different than your posts don't you think?

I teach my students to treat people with respect and love but not to allow ANYONE to abuse them. Your problem is I won't allow you to brutalize me with you nasty comments.I return what I am given. If you stop attacking, I will stop responding.

In fact, your attitude made it about you and me. For myself, I will be fine if I never speak with you again. However you seem to have some sick need to contact me. You should seek help for that.
