Creating a survey in Pages

I need to create a survey for a research project. I'd like to have checkboxes for participants to select. Having a difficult time trying to figure out how to do this in pages. Is there an easy way to create a survey?

First understand what a placeholder is.
A placeholder is a snippet of text or an image that is completely selected and replaced by clicking on it or dragging text onto it.
So you can make the entire Question & Answer one place holder or you can make each part of it a placeholder so you can drag those components onto it.
To make a place holder, select the text or image:
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text+
+Inspector > Layout > Columns+
Download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu and familiarise yourself with how Pages works.

Few points to note related to SharePoint Master page:
You don't need to create master page template. If you deploy your master page in site collection level you can reuse the same master page in subsites without copying again and again, rather just by referencing
You have not mentioned how you are going to deploy your master page. If you have any Visual Studio (VS) solution already, try to add your master page in the VS solution and deploy your master page (and other branding components) as SharePoint WSP
solution.
Deploying master page will not activate the master page, you need to use some kind of 'Web Level Feature' to activate your branding - the feature will basically set the master page property of SharePoint site to your custom master page.

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD3. I can see see it...the icon is till there but when I tap it to open it, I get kicked out of pages.   Tried rebooting and I can open other documents, but not this one. Any ideas?

I created a newsletter using pages on my IPAD 3. All of a sudden I can no longer open that document.   When I click on it, it throws me out of pages all together. I can open other pages documents, but not that one. It is very frustrating to be able to SEE the file, but not open it.
I rebooted and I do have icloud back-up on but am not sure how to restore an older version. I also made sure there are no updates for pages.   Until the IPAD I used a home PC which I still have but am trying to wean myself off of. I wish now I had used MS Publisher on my PC for the newsletter even though I hate it.
Please don't tell me I have lost my Newsletter and 20 hours worth of work.

Try resetting your iPad. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for 7 or 8 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
I'm assuming your default is to save Pages documents to iCloud, and that you had a good WiFi connection when you closed Pages the last time you tried to save the document.

How can I create links to other pages in iBooks that will function in PDF?

I know some people have asked previously how to create links to other pages of their book within iBooks. I having an issue with this myself that I haven't been able to resolve. I am able to create the links, and they seem to function within the program, however, once I export the document as a PDF file (the format in which I need to have this ebook!), the links seem to be non-functional. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Exporting as a PDF does alter/lose/remove certain functions. Adobe Acrobat has its own page navigation system.
A lot of the hidden engine of iBooks Author is basically very similar to building a website! so links and books marks are an "internal" function.
IF you have Acrobat and not just the Adobe Reader, you can make links. I have never needed to try, but I see a working link related index in the many software manuals I have.

Have your page in the visual design mode then go to the Design->Page Properties menu and you'll be able to select auto-bind on the second tab.

The object COM_PRDCAT_WEB_API which you mentioned is the package, i think its available only in 701 release.
Goto SMW0 , press F8, you can see the SAP web repository objects.

WARNING
it´s impossible (for me) to open Pages 5 documents in Pages 4, which is absolutely no go. You can open any f..... word.doc but no pages 4.
Apple is getting worser every day, it´s a shame. There is no information about this before you buy it.
So now you have to ask your friends or colleagues to convert a pages 5 document to a word document, so you can open it with pages 4. Hoiw ridiculous is that?
Pages 5 is a joke. In 5.0 they forgot to manage the task-bar, which came shortly after 4 weeks or so in 5.1.
The only good: you can run ist parallelly to pages 4.3 but it´s not worth the money.

I was creating a bunch of content areas and suddenly I've got the following error message:

ORA-1: User-Defined Exception (WWC-36000)

An unexpected error occurred: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PORTAL30.WWNLS_STRI_PK) violated (WWC-51004)
Error while creating layout for the page. (WWC-44283)

i think at this time you have to create a new group.
here is information, how important this group is:
Do not remove all authenticated users from this group. Because Master Page Gallery and Style Library are shared across all sites in the
site collection and must be accessible to all users of all sites. If you remove all authenticated users from the group, anyone with this permission level on a subsite will not be able to render the site. SharePoint will not automatically add or remove users
of subsites to or from this group as needed.

to recreate the group .
a new "All Users" group can be created. When you go to add users, there's a link to include all authentcated
users. Click that link and click OK.
once the group is created...add newly created group into "Master pages and page layouts" and Style
Library( Themes) as reader...

Creating a new Master Page for new SharePoint 365 Environment

Hello,
If you create a new Master Page for your 365 site collection should all the Promoted Links, List Headings, etc. (standard items that are in the OOO SP Master Page) still remain the 'Blue SP Color' or are you able to change these items in the Master
Page as well? If someone needs additional information on my question please let me know.

SharePoint 2013 and IE 11 issue - While creating a Web Part Page and Editing Web Part Properties

I tried to edit a Web Part in SharePoint 2013 using IE 11 but I did not see the Edit Eeb Part dropdown menu at the top-right corner of the web part. Then I tried to create a Web Part page and I get the following error.
Cannot create a Web Part Page with the current browser. Browsers that support the creation of Web Part Pages include Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or later, and Apple Safari 3.0 or later
Strange !!! My web browser is IE 11.
I tried the above two tasks in Google Chrome and worked fine.
Solution:
I added the site url to local intranet zone in IE 11 and I am now able to add Web Part Page and Edit Web Part in IE 11.
