Creating a WebDynpro Project in Studio

Hello,
I am involved in creating a WebDynpro project in Netweaver studio. I am using Get_Flight_List example project(I got it from the net).
Whole process of creating attributes and operations is performed. But,when i add teh relavent java code from the example, it gives compiler error.
Errors are :
1.getMessageManager() is undefined for the type IWDViewController,
2.bapiInput is not resolved and
3.wdGetFlightListComponentController() is undefined for type IPrivateFlightListView.
Kindly help me in resolving this issue/Suggest a way to create a simple WebDynpro project.

Hi
In case there are no errors in the code, CtrlShiftO and a ctrl+space wherever it is highlighting the error should resolve the problem.
bapiinput must be a object created in the code for the model class.
Have you created an object with this name.
In webdynpro section of SDN , you will have e-learning section which has detailed tutorials with sample projects.
Please look into it.<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/webdynpro">WebDynpro Developer Area in SDN</a>
In case you have done all this and still the issues are unresolved, please revert back.

I am having this issue on two computers. If I try to create an Excel 2013 Workbook C# in new projects, and choose create a new workbook, it starts to open Excel, and then I get this error in VS
    I have tried:
Uninstall & Reinstall of VSTO from the Visual Studio Installer
Uninstall & Reinstall of Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate, (manually removing anything with visual studio that was left over)
Manually turning on the add-on Visual Studio Tools for Office Design-Time Adapter for Excel
    Installing VSTO by hand
    Enabling Macros
    Running VS as administrator
Uninstalling & Reinstalling Office 2013 Pro Plus OLP
I have made this change to excel:
Like I said, this problem occurs on TWO pc's.  I have tried 2013 Visual Studio R1 and R2.  Does anyone have any ideas?
    Edit 3-1-2015
There is still no answer to this, I have tried target frameworks:
    4.0
    4.5
    4.51
And Running as Administrator.  Recently I upgraded to the CTP of Visual Studio 2015 Ultimate and the same problem exists.

    Thanks for the reply.
The issue is not reproducible for me and I can confirm this not a known issue. We might need to do deeper troubleshooting at the repro machines.

    Hi,
R u trying to deploy an old DC in the upgraded studio? Is the same happening for deploying any newly created local webdynpro project? Create a simple local project and check if same problem occurs.

  • Can't add a webdynpro project to DTR...

    Hi at all,
I've posted this already to WebDynpro but I don't know how to move it because it is maybe better to post it here.
I have created a local webDynpro application and as I got access to my DTR I added it to it. Everything was looking fine until I said that I want to remove the application from my client and created the project again.
On creating the WebDynpro project, the NWDS give me some error messages that some files are readonly!
(Web Dynpro Generation: Existing output file .../roadmap/RoadmapComponent.java is read-only!)
After that I removed the readonly flag in the windows explorer and rebuilded the project. But on the next checkin and sync from the DTR I got the same message.
I deleted the webdynpro project from the DTR and made sure that all files of my local copy were writable.
But still, if I create the project on the DTR, there are some files that are readonly if I sync them from there...
Does anyone know what the DTR is doing there, why it's automatically setting some files to readonly and how to solve that problem???
I read a lot in SDN how to add a project in the DTR, but all that doesn't solve my problem. I have no idea what I can do else.
    I'm appreciated for answers.
    Regards,
    Dennis

    Hi Roy,
usually you need all your source folders, whatever they are named. For a Par I would assume src.api, src.core and dist. for a regular Java project src (or src/packages).
If you are working with development component you must include the .dcdef file and the def folder. If the cfg contains files you should also add that.
As negative list: you should not include the bin folder (where NWDS/Eclipse puts generated classes), nor any folder starting with gen (e.g. gen_wdp for WebDynpro projects should not be checked in. The gen folder itself should never be checked in either, it contains the build results from a local DC build).

  • SAP Netweaver Developer Studio - Creating new par project

    Hi,
I am currently experiencing some trouble trying to create a par project within the Netweaver Developer's studio, in the dialog for a creation of a new project 'Portal Application' is not available for selection based on the instructions from the following link(http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/a3/918340d990ce62e10000000a155106/frameset.htm). Could someone please advise on whether any additional plugin's will have to be deployed and how.
    Thanks in advance.
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
are there any other perspectives available like for instance Webdynpro, Development configuration, Design Time Repositoty?
I ask it only because if you install NWDS, then first you get a framework only, and the plugins must be installed explicitly using the updatesite.
Could you please confirm that you have executed this step?
You can trigger the update from the NWDS menu: "Help"  --  "Software Updates"  --  "Find and Install..." (take the second
option, "Search for new features to install").
I've tested with "SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment SP08 PAT0000" and there the portal project option is available.
As a workaround you can make a try to install this -- or the latest -- version, you can get this software from here:
https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/ --> See the link here:

  • How to Create a Custom Project Site Template Using Visual Studio

I know how to make changes and save a site as a template but I need to be able to create a new project site template during deployment to different environments. Trying to have this not be a manual process.

    Hello,
    This article might help:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sambetts/archive/2013/10/17/creating-a-clean-visual-studio-solution-from-a-sharepoint-2013-site-template.aspx
Start with a default Project Site (create a new site from the Project site template) and save out the WSP then import into VS.

  • Evaluation period has ended trying to create a BizTalk project in Visual Studio 2013 ultimate

    Hi,
I am doing a proof-of-concept with BizTalk, and I am using evaluation versions of everything involved, SQL server 2012 SP1, Windows server 2012, Visual Studio 2013 R2 and BizTalk 2013 R2.
All worked (relatively speaking) until I finally came to creating a BizTalk project in Visual Studio 2013 R2.
I installed the relevant BizTalk components on that machine (windows 8.1 32-bit, non eval) and then I get the BizTalk evaluation period has ended error message.
I am sort of stumped, I have a long while left on the evaluation period on all involved software, anyone knows what this is about?

    Hi,
    Try repairing the BizTalk installation.

  • Hundreds of errors when loading Java WEBDynpro project .

    Hello all,
Almost a year ago, we built some custom webdynpro iviews. Until now everything works fine, but the customer has requested some minor changes .
So I connected to the dev server and loaded the track we had created for this project. The problem is that when we create a project from the DTR, in order to edit it, we get a load of errors, which were ofcourse not occurring when we compiled the project .
For example, this is an error in my Custom Controller "ZHRCOS_P0002_CONTR"
The code was automatically generated by the system when it was created, so if I try to change anything I get the message "This Code is Derived, do you really want to change it?"
inside the code there is the function
    infoRecords = GCIContext.createModelNode("Records", true, CMICardinality.MANY, CMICardinality.ZERO_TO_ONE, true, ... etc .
    There I get the message
    "CMICardinality.MANY cannot be resolved"
I would think that some necessary packages were not loaded during the "Create project" procedure, although I loaded all the dependencies .
But, what I actually see, is that the class <CMICardinality> exists, only that instead of having the constant <MANY>, it has the constant <CARDINALITY_MANY> .
This is something I cannot understand, because the Dynpros were compiled almost one year ago and they are still working fine. Why do I get those problems ?

Thank you both, but I have already tried these approaches. I also tried with other projects and I have the same problem .
Also I noticed that the visual editor seems to have a problem, but I do not know if it is connected to the above .
    "Unhandled event loop exception"
I have changed my NWDS to 7.2, but I don't think that the studio version would have any impact on the building of the webdynpro.

  • Migrating WebDynpro Projects for 6.40 based developments

    Hi,
We have a lot of webdynpro projects developed as standalone projects. The version of developer studio used 2.0.X. The Web AS server version is 6.40.
Are there any tools or standard options available for migration of this projects to DCs. ?
In CE , there are some tools available for the same. But we want to do this migration of Web AS 6 40.
Any sugggestions would be very helpful.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
You can create a DC from existing proejct. Follow the steps given below:
File->New->Development Component Project ->Local Development ->My Components->Click on Next->Give some Name to DC->select Type as WenDYnpro->Click on Next
->Now check the check box "Import content from existing local project ->Now select the project you want convert to DC->click on finish.

  • How do I create a NetBeans project with multiple JavaFX (FXML) dialogs?

I'm very new to Java and JavaFX, so forgive what is probably a question asked a thousand times, but I can't seem to find the answer.
I come from a Visual Studio (C# with WPF) background. I'm used to creating a Solution then adding a Project for each dialog/window that gets included in the Solution. Each dialog/window is a class derived from Window, and I simply create an instance of that class when I need to use the dialog.
What I need to do is have a main window (stage) that contains two lists of participants (a red team and a blue team).
Then I need a separate dialog for entering the information for the participant. So when a button on the main stage is pressed ("Add Red Participant"), I want to open the ParticipantDialog. When the "OK" or "Close" button on the Participant dialog is clicked, I want the dialog to be able to return a participant object to the main stage.
Then the main stage adds that participant to the appropriate list.
What I've gathered so far is that I will be creating an FXML file for the Participant dialog (and I assume an associated controller). Then when the "Add" button is pressed, I will call an FXMLLoader to load that FXML dialog. Something like this:
    FXMLLoader fxmlLoader = new FXMLLoader(getClass().getResource("ParticipantDialog.fxml"));
    Scene scene = (Scene)fxmlLoader.load();
    final Stage participantDialog = new Stage();
    participantDialog.setScene(scene);
First question is: is that correct so far? Am I at least on the right track?
Next question is: how or where do I create the FXML and controller files for the participant dialog using NetBeans? Should I create a separate project to make the participant dialog and then copy those files over, or is there a way to make the files within the parent project? And if I make the participant dialog in a separate project, what's the easiest way to access it from my main stage?
I feel like I'm missing something simple here because this seems a lot harder than it should be.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    >  is that correct so far?
Yes the sample code you have is fine to launch a new dialog when your Add button is pressed .
    > I create the FXML and controller files for the participant dialog using NetBeans?
You can edit FXML text in NetBeans, but I think that is kind of tedious.
You might want to create the FXML using SceneBuilder.
You can use SceneBuilder in NetBeans.
You may want to get it working without FXML first.
For example, use the JavaFX scene graph API, then convert your program to use FXML once you are more comfortable with the JavaFX system.
The piecemeal approach cuts down on the amount of learning you need to do at one time.
    > Should I create a separate project to make the participant dialog and then copy those files over.
    No.
Just use a single NetBeans project.
You will have separate FXML files for your main stage and your participant dialog, but they will both be placed in the same NetBeans project.
    > is there a way to make the files within the parent project?
In NetBeans 7.3.1, do the following:
File | New Project | JavaFX | JavaFX FXML Application
This will create a sample project with a sample fxml file.
Modify the sample project files to get what you want, changing the sample fxml to your main stage fxml and adding a new participant fxml to the same directory.

  • Move a Excel 2010 Dokument Addin Project (Visual Studio 2012) to another devleopment machine with Visual Studio 2012 , but Office 2013

    Hi
we do have the following situation
on computer A there is a Excel Document Addin development project , Visual Studio 2012, Office 2010 installed. All works fine.
we would like to bring the project to another machine with Visual Studio 2012, but Office 2013 installed.
Visual Studio can not build the project. It says that the application is not installed on the machine (though Excel 2013 is installed , but not Excel 2010) It seems to have a problem with the
    vbproj.
In other forums I found a hint that "Hostpackage = ..} needs to be set accordingly in the vbproj. I created then a "empty Excel-Addin project" under Visual Studio , looked at
the Hostpackage entry, put that into the vbproj of "problem project. It still does not work.
It would be great if anyone could help.
    Thomas

    Hello Eugene
Problem is that it says that projectboard (the name of the main project) can not be loaded. All other projects in the solution can be loaded. Strange thing is , now that I try to create a empty excel Project it says that according to Excel security settings
it can not be generated !?
I opened then Excel and set all Trust Center settings to "Default" - but no effect. I really have no idea what is wrong ..!?
