Creating custom templates in Lightroom

Hello
I'm new to the Adobe forum, and I have a question regarding Lightroom.
I want to create a paper proof/order form for a school portrait photography business I'm starting up. I need to create a custom template that I can drop and drag images together with meta data into. (the meta data will act as an order reference for customers) I've been told Adobe Bridge can handle this, but could this be done in Lightroom and Indesign. Or is there any other software out there that would do this?
Any suggestions welcome

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

How to create custom template for webcenter portal application

Hi,
I created webcenter portal application in my jdev using the webcenter portal application template provided by the webcenter framework.
I tried to create custom template for my application by following steps:
1. Created new application using webcenter portal application template with all default package structure.
2. Right click pagetemplates folder under webcontent package and select new option.
3. New gallery opens up.
4. Selected JSF under webtier and JSF Page Template under items in the right hand side and clicked Ok button.
5. New wizard opens up for creating new JSF page template.
6. Gave template name(file name) and Page Template Name(template def name).
7. Selected checkbox staing start a Quick Start Layout and selected three column layout and selected Ok.
8. Selected checkbox for Create Associated ADFm Page Defination(so that page templates can be changes at run time).
9. Created some Facet Definations (header, footer, content1, content2, LHN, RHN).
10. Clicked Ok button which will create custom template.
11. Added some Panel Group Layout component from Component Palette.
12. Created new page (.jspx) with this template.
Now when I try to add producer portlets created using Producer Portlet application template and connected to the above application using WSRP2.0, I'm facing problem.
The prolem is that I'm not able to add more than one portlet in one single page?
Kindly let me know whether the steps followed by me is wrong some where and needs to corrected and let me know how I can add more than one portlet to page?
Basically I cant see more than one placeholders in my page to add portlets.

In the step 9 I had mentioned that I created various facet definations (header, footer, content, content1 RHN and LHN).
Is this is not facet you are talking about or should I drop facet ref from the resource palette?
Can't I add moer than one portlet to my page at design time itself?
Annoying since in weblogic portal we do this at design time(.portal).

How to create custom Templates in DVD-SP?

Hi, I was wondering how to create my own custom menus/menu templates in dvdsp. Whenever I import something for the menu, It will crop it automatically and will not allow me to re arrange it to show the full clip/image. Any info on creating custom templates would be very appreciated. Thank you, and although new to the apple forums, I am hoping to make my stay long while learning an abundance of information and hopefully helping others with any knowledge I may have.

Just remember...it will take weeks or months or even years to get proficient in designing good menus. This isn't something you just sit down and decide to do in a afternoon. DVDSP is only an authoring tool...its not for design work...and amendments need to be done in PS then reimported back into DVDSP>

You can create the template within the normal template admin/manage site-wide templates.
In the second step, to the email campaign, you choose that template, and when you get the step where you choose a BC layout, ignore it and dont choose one.
The system then uses your template.

Creating custom templates

How do I create a custom template from one of my current final cut projects ? There has to be a way to use the clips as dropzones and preserve transistions.

Use the replace function. The clips can be repalced with placeholders. The project can be duplicated and the placeholders replaced with clips.

The photo placeholders in the templates are only there for guidance. You don't need to use them. You can drag a photo file onto your iWeb page from iPhoto using the media button or from a folder.
Once the photo is on the page , click on it and hold down your mouse and drag it where ever you want. To resize it you click on it and little squares appear round the edge. Click hold and drag on them to resize the photo.
You can also go to the "metrics" inspector page - the one with the picture of a ruler - and type in dimensions for the photo and hit "enter".
You can rotate it and flip it upside down or reverse it so that it is a mirror image etc.

Create custom template removal!

I have created a custom template in numbers under my templates, hovever I created the same template twice. hoe can I delete the same template from this window, so i only have it in there the once. Many thanks!!!

There are several ways you can go about organising your templates.

Webi - Custom Templates can be created?

In the old 6.5 we could create cutom templates. In Webi it appears we can not. Is this true or is there something I am missing

Unfortunately, unlike in earlier versions of BO, Webi XI has no facility to create custom templates as such.
The easiest workaround to this is to create an empty report with the layout you desire and then use this as the basis for all your subsequent reports (i.e. amend the query each time, but retain the same layout of headers, footers, etc)
You can't exactly create a template. But, you can create a skin. Take a look into that instead.
Take a look at the directory structure on the server. You'll see the skins there. You apply them to cells on your report. You can put a logo as a skin and it works like a charm. BO provides a couple. You can change them.

How do you make a customized template?? When I customize an original template it does not apply it to the whole document! How do you apply style changes permanently to your document???

When one customize text styles or spacing between paragraphs. How do you apply settings permanently to a document???
Should you create a new template???

Happily, when you edit a document created by a given template, the changes aren't stored in the template.
If you want to get a template embedding your changes, you need to use :
File > Save as Template
then use the newly created custom template as starting point.

Creating custom Category for Risk & Issue in Project Server 2013

Dear All,
How to Change Risk & Issue Category default as per business requirement when selecting them through drop down or radio button?
I can do only Project wise from project site & then setting changes. But i want to customize it for all projects which are getting published in Project Server 2013. So doing manually every time project wise not making sense & consuming time also.

Wiki Server Custom templates

Hi All
We are currently looking to move more of our internal processes across the the Wiki. I was wondering is there a way to create custom wiki page templates? I don't mean to customise the apple supplied ones (they are fine) but to create templates for Meeting minutes, Customer call logs (In a a customer blog) that all have the same format? Or ultimately an entire project pre-build that we could deploy when a new project kicked off.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

For Snow Leopard 10.6 the Extending Your Wiki Server content was merged into the Wiki Server Admin manual (http://images.apple.com/server/macosx/docs/WikiServer_Adminv10.6.pdf)
To create custom templates, you need to create custom XSL (which could break the wiki if the Apple defaults get updated), and Javascript (though I don't see why we should create custom nodes directly in the DOM just to make a series of pages.
CSS only affects the styling of the blocks.

I went with Visual Admin tool to node SID - Server - Services - SLD Data Supplier.
I saw some information - how can I check here?
Afterwards I went to node SID - Server - Services - JCo RFC Provider and saw informations about client, user password. How can I check these informations? I stopped the SAPSLDAPI_SID RFC listener and started again. This worked without problems.
I closed visual administrator and tried to login again via http://hostname:50000/sld. After cklick on button "Administration" there is no reaction - I get a blank site with no information on it.
When I start configuration again through SOLMAN_ADMIN system hangs now in step 107 " SLD Server Configuration".

Premiere Elements 4.0 user manual says:
"You can also create custom templates in Adobe Photoshop Elements, and add them to the Adobe Premiere Elements template choices."
When I open an exiting template in Photoshop 6.0, layer sets are locked so the only change that I can do is text font.

Well, you can't create a custom menu template, but you can take an existing template, swap out the background with a custom still or video and customize the text with your own fonts, colors and positions -- essentially creating a custom DVD menu.

Custom Web Album Templates in Lightroom

I work for a department at UMass Amherst, and we're considering using Lightroom to create our web albums. We used the beta, and there was no way to create custom HTML/CSS templates (besides hacking the code it produced every time). Is this a feature that is included in the 1.0 release, or do you still have to hack the code every time?
