Creation of Group for Order type

Dear All,
I have created the stage wise order
types ,now I am trying to create a group for each order
type, while doing this I maintained  text &
no.range for the same,
but system is not creating new group,
it replaced the existing group.(OPJH )
please guide me to solve this difficulty
Thanks in advance
Rgds,
Vijay Mankar

Hi Vijay,
1. To create a new group "F6" now type the description and the number interval. Now hit enter. New group is created
2. You need to select the new Number Range Group by selecting the check box on the left side of the group.
3. Place your cursor on the Order type decsription and use "F2" to select the line.
4. Now you need to hit the "Element/Group" icon or F5 in key board to assign the order type to the number range group.
Save the changes now. Number ranges are generally not transported, so you need to do this directly in the client where it is needed.
Hope this steps will help you in understanding how this has to be done. Reward your points,

Prasobh

  • Creation of a new order type

    Hello,
Which are the impact on FI-CO module of the creation of a new order type to create a sales order?
    Thanks a lot.
    Emanuela

    Hi Emanuela,
When production is based on sales order ( i.e Product cost by Sales order) in this scenario
sales order is created as a cost object.
This sales order is referenced when we create Cost estimate structure in CK51N
In this way sales order is integrated with Product cost controlling in CO module.
If your question is not answered, then give specific details about your requirement.

  • How to create new group for material type

    Hello all experts,
Im unable to create a new group for materials types, diff groups for FG and raw materials material type??
    Could you pls help ??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
When you create a new material you have to specify the material types like finished goods or raw material like that in the initial screen
For this new material types can be defined in
SPRO -> Logistic - General -> Material Master -> Basic Settings -> Material Type ->Define attribute of material Type
    T code OMS2
After specifying the material type and giving organizational data like plant, storage location, sales org etc we go on to create the material
In one of the tabs the material groups should be specified and from MM point of view it is a reqd entry
    this can be defined in
    Define Material Group
SPRO -> Logistic - General -> Material Master -> Setting for Key Field -> Define Material Group
    T .Code: OMSF
I beleive this is what you are asking about

  • Define Account Grouping for Movement Types??

    hi
In account determination the setting in transaction  OMWM - Define Account Grouping for Movement Types
The above transaction needs any setting or its standard SAP settings??
Can somebody explain me about this transaction in detail.
    Thanks

OMWM is to decide account determination should happen via valuation grouping code or not. SAP standard is with valuation grouping code. I had never seen singe time anywhere it is deactivated.
Account grouping for movemement you can see in OMJJ. (Inside movement type left side). It is also predefined by SAP. You see only account modifier and check acct. assignment is editable. Others cannot be edited.
In case for same transaction if you want 2 different GL account needs to be triggered for same material in same plant, we copy a movemen type and create a new and assign a different account modifier.
Then in OBYC against it we will maintain different GL account.
    Hope you are clear
    Regards
    Antony

  • Change Field selection group for Movt type 701

    Hi experts,
I want to change Field Selection group for movt type 701.  Right now " Business Area " & " Cost Centre " fields are suppressed.  I want to change it to required entry.
    Please guide me over this
    Regards,
    Rajneesh Gulati

    the note explaines it:
In Customizing an account assignment can be made for every inventory
adjustment account. To do this the inventory adjustment account must
first be defined as a cost element (Transaction KA01 / KA06):
Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost centers -> Master data -> Cost element
-> Create primary / secondary. Then an account assignment can be made
for the cost element (Transaction OKB9):
    Tools -> Customizing -> Setup menu -> Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost
centers -> Actual postings -> Automatic account assignment.
If this account assignment is implemented every posting to the
particular inventory adjustment account will automatically receive the
    appropriate account assignment.

  • Account groups & Sales order types for 5 Companies

    Dear All,
There are 5 company codes under one client but these are five different operating entities (Companies). I mean there is no intercompany process at all. One company will act as a customer / Vendor to another and even they file there IT returns separately.
But the business (Sales / Purchases) processes in these company codes are exactly the same.
Please help me out with the following issue under the above situation:
    1)     Will there be a common Account Group for all 5 company codes as it is defined at client level or there should be a separate Account Group Company codewise as 5 companies are operating separately.
    2)     Similarly Sales Document types i.e., ZIN, ZQT, ZOR, ZLF, ZF2 should be defined separately for each company code or not?
    Regards,
    Pankaj

    Hi Akasha,
You said : for the document types again , a single document type can be used for all the company codes, unless there is some other specific case where in seperate document type is required
Cud you plz lemme know an example of any such specific case. Because if single document type for 5 companies is not affecting any Business Process Financially and operationwise. I can go ahead by sharing one document type for 5 Companies.
Only one thing cud be is the number range, which will also be shared. Am I right ?
    Thnx & Best Regards,
    Pankaj

  • Block creation of new Internal Order Type

    Hello,
We have several internal Orders types and we want to block the creation of new IO. Is there any way through customizing to do that?
I have considering to do it using an step in a validation but I think can be a better way.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Ravi is right, you can restrict through authorizations. To do that, you have to modify the role assigned to users that allow them to create internal orders of any type. Use the transaction SUIM, search the role by user or by transaction (KO01). Then, in the role, there is an entry that corresponds to Controlling (CO) -
    > CO-OPA: General authorization object for internal orders (K_ORDER) -
    >
Order Type  (AUFART)   : Select for example RA01
    Internal order authorization  (AUTHPHASE) :
    Actions for CO-OM Authorizatio (CO_ACTION) :  0000  Master Data.
    Cost Element  (KSTAR) :
    CO-OM Responsibility Area  (RESPAREA) :
Usually a BASIS do the modification of the role.

  • Number ranges for order types

    Hi
I want to differenciate numbering of rework order type from the standard order type.Assign different number ranges to different order type.
    Shankar

    Hi Mr.Shankar,
    Please try out this,
<b>1.In OPJH - Define Order type,As u said you are copying from PP01 type, after copying change the name of the order type say for Eg for Rework ucan chage it as RW01 and save it.Again carryout the same step to create 2 more order types say TT02 and TT03.
2.In OPL8 - Define Order type dependent parameters,Enter the settings for the newly created order types for RW01,TT02,TT03 and save it.
3.In CO82,Define the number ranges for individual order types as explained by our friend ,If you want external number assignment then Include a tick mark against the check box for an order type save it.</b>
While using CO82,after going into the exact screen,in the top goto Group-Maintain groups (or else Press F6)and in the bottom of that page you will be able to see the newly created order types (which you have created) and now you can select the types and assign the number ranges in a different way for different order types.
I hope now the system allows you to assign number ranges as per you need.
If useful please reward your points
    Thansk & Regards
    Karthik

  • Valuation Categories for Order types

    Dear Experts,
How to create valuation categories and how to group them and assign them to a particular order type ?
What is the significance of assigning value categories to maintenance cost key figures?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram

You create your own value categories in the configuration "Maintain Value Categories".
You assign the cost elements to these categories in "Assign Cost Elements to Value Categories"
In this way you can present a different view than the standard cost report in the service order.
You can group or split out different cost elements in your value categories in an entirely different format than in the SAP supplied cost report.
Transaction OIVC is a nice little report for checking the value category cost element assignments.
Assigning them to cost key figures makes the data available in PMIS (Information Systems for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service) Here you can also group your value categories, it does not have to be a one-to-one relationship.
