Creation of notification from warranty claim (wty tcode)

Dear all ,
i have the requirement , where in notification (say service notification) to be created from warranty claim document i.e.., created in wty transaction code.
i captured all the data in warranty claim like equipment , customer , sales area , material and also entered relevant notification type i.e.,S3 , but still when i click on Create notification icon in the waranty claim document, system is  unable to create notification with out any error or warning messages .
in the actions i assigned T205 (which is used to create quality or service notification) and i checked and saved the document , but still system is not generating the notification.
whether i missed any configuration or any thing to do at the time of creating the warranty claim .... please suggest.
awaiting for your quick response.

  • To adjust third party adjustment center update in the warranty claim (WTY)

    Hi Gurus !!
Our business is a tire wholeseller and retailers and when they get customer's warranty claim they send to adjustment centers to check weather it is covered by manufactures warranty or not. Business wants to see that update of the adjustment center(from JDE system) in the warranty claim (WTY) in the SAP.
How it should be done ?
I suppose we have to create a new interface and  it should be done at the item level ? (because one warranty claim document can have number of warranty claims for different product)
And is their any specific field that allows that update or we have to come up with new?
Please HELP !! Any help will be really appreciated

  • Credit memo from Warranty Claim

How can credit memo be created from warranty claim transaction?

    Dear Rajat,
After the warranty check  action, use the action A102 for generation of the credit memo request. However here the prices from the warranty claim does not flow to the credit memo request. Seperate pricing routine needs to be written in SD to collect the warranty claim pricing at item levels. (Usually this becomes combursome job).
I would suggest to go for direct FI posting of amount to be credited, by using the action A041 with FM WTY04_OC_POST_AC. and use the reversal action A053 with function module WTY03_REVERSAL_POST2_XX in the function module (Z-version of) WTY04_REVERSAL_POST_OC.
    Thanks and Regards

We are using warranty claim procesing component under Customer Service Module ( Tcode - OWTY) . Though we are able to post accounting documents , Costing based  COPA documents are not getting generated though we were able to generate account based COPA documents. We have ensured the following
    1) The General Ledger Account used in the Revenue Account determination is defined as a Revenue cost element
    2) The condition types have been mapped to Value fields
    3) The default profitablity segment derivation has been selected
    4) In the Warranty claim type , COPA PA transfer structure has been assined.

  • Vendor Debiting from Warranty claim processing  module to SAP AP

    Hi
We are having a process of debiting vendors for all the failed parts under warranty module. Since in SAP Warranty claim processing module, vendor debits are done claim by claim, is there any way where we can cumulate all the claims of a particular vendor and do vendor debiting at summarised level in SAP AP. Request your insight knowledge in this respect.
    Thanks

    Dear SANTOSH KUMAR,
This feature is added newly in ECC 6.0, this is specially useful in Customer Service environment.
Basic concept of Warrant claim processing is, we have manufactured or leased or sold an equipment to a customer and offer the service to customer also we provide warranty to the customer on that equipment for certain period with certain conditions.
In this case we maintain the equipment warranty and process the warranty as and when required, ex: customer has got a problem in the equipment and that cover warranty, then the service provider raises a warranty claim, the supplier or original manufacturer processes the warranty claim and issues a credit note to the customer or replaces a new part.
This also involves sales and distribution module to some extent.
Hope this info clarifies your doubt.
    Regards,
    Praveen.

  • Create Servicr Notification from External Claim

    Hi All,
Could anyone help me to find any alternative solution for creating service  notification with reference to a notification Number.
I would explain my requirement below -
I need to create a service notification with the following details -
    Notification Header Long Text
    Notification Header Partners
    Notification Header
    Notification Item
    Notification Task
    Notification Activity
I found a BAPI 'BAPI_SERVNOT_CREATE' which can be used but it is not released. I have a requirement of only using a released function module.
So is there any alternative way of getting it done? Please Help !
    Thanks,
    Priyabrata

    Hi,
you may use the FMs of function group IWOPM, for example BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE to create Notifications. The FMs of this group are released and work similar to the bapi you have mentioned.

Thanks in adavance for your reply.

I dump analysis it is giving the following error,
The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLWTYSC02 " in include
    "LWTYSC02U08 " in line 147:
"The data object "LS_ORDER_HEADER" does not have a component called "UP"

  • Auto Creation of Order from Notification

    Hi all,
As all of us are aware we can create notification automatically on creation of order, through Order/Notification integration setting in SPRO.
Is it possible to create Order automatically on creation of Notification in standard SAP ?? Pls confirm.
    Thanks in advance,
    Talanki

    Hi
Option given in ECC6.0 cration of order from notificaton automatically by direct and background
With this option you can create the order from notification provided you need to update all the data in notificatin like funcitnal location/equipment/workcentre( so that it will fetch all the data from this master data while creating)
then if you select the PM notification>function>order >create direct or create backgroup option then order will be created but it will throw in pop up saying details of order type and planning plant.. if you say ok...then order will be created in foreground. if you select backgroud also it will throw popup if you say ok it will create the order in back ground.
For this you need to do the customization setting assigining the order type to notifiction so that it will automatically fetch the order type aganit the notification while creating the order.
    regards

  • Re: What do I get from my HDD warranty claim?

I can see lots of posts with the same problem I had and lots of talk of invoking warranty but I can't find anyone explaining the pitfalls of doing this - unlike most forums the search function only seems to check titles not content (?)
I ask because I recently had my warranty claim accepted - but the lack of information is absolutely breathtaking.
Hope you can help - there's nowhere else to turn ^$^
    *This is the problem:*
I got no email communication after the acceptance with a case ref.
The case ref led me to a case document containing nothing except what I told them - even if I added my email to the search.
The first time the doc came up it had a high-toll phone number in it - I didn't note it because I was hoping for some emails - the number has now disappeared.
I checked daily and found no more information - at some point I stopped adding my email to the search - I now find this was a mistake - a mailing label has now appeared - WITH NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER.
I desperately need to know if they are going to fix my Canvio 2GB or not. A replacement is no use to me - I'd rather cut the damn thing apart and try to get at the disk directly myself.
This is critical - it's not a toaster or a TV etc. it's really sold as a safe. If you buy a metal safe and it goes wrong the manufacturers will get it open by hook or crook and give you back your precious documents, manuscripts, family photos etc. (even if you have copies elsewhere) - they won't trash the thing and send you an empty one in exchange!
This is the only place to turn that might work (presumably because it costs Toshiba nothing).
    Thanks.
^$^ The Toshiba site is useless - most of the relevant links don't work, most of the ones that do take you round in circles, there is NO contact address or phone line unless you want to talk to the Press team (of course). It is a shambles - an amateur one at that.

    Hi Dr Lamp,
I replied to you first but the forum software chose to overwrite it with my reply to Francesco_1 (pretty amateurish coding) - fortunately I'd kept a copy (on a disk not made by Toshiba).
Thanks for replying. You are right about the issues but I still need Toshiba to provide a proper contact point.
I have not contacted the UK service because that is not the team that is handling my case - the guys involved are in Regensburg (they of the disappearing telephone number) - it's pretty obvious from the UK service page that money not warranties are involved with their input.
I do have the original Warranty document but responsibility for the data integrity is specifically excluded - it even cheekily says "you are responsible for backing up data" - in what? Another Canvio that is equally unreliable perhaps? Should I have two more to back up the first two? and so ad infinitum?
It seems more positive where it does say it "covers the parts and labour required to restore your disk to full working order. Toshiba will at its option, repair or replace any defective ... parts".
However in legal terms this does NOT mean they are committing to any efforts AT ALL to retain the data in usable form - it allows them to make the decision that suits them - if it takes them 2 minutes to fix such problems then they would probably rather spend 1 minute reformatting it.
Companies will always take the quickest, simplest and shortest route to fulfilling their legal obligations...If the process of restoring 99% of the data means the disk is only 99% in full working order they would almost certainly just format it.
As it happens there is a strong possibility that the USB to Serial interface only needs replacing - the disk itself might be fine.. but I'm not sending it anywhere without some assurance that they will make reasonable efforts to retain data.
Since (like a safe) you wouldn't buy it unless the data was worth 10-100 times the cost of the hardware - it follows that the warranty is at least 90% useless - at least unless they are prepared to give some more information.
I would like to suggest they have a go but return it to me if they fail so I can rip the thing apart and access the serial interface directly - *but there is no contact point!*
    Regards.

  • Condition values (pricing conditions) of a warranty claim

At which tables I can find the condition values (pricing conditions) of a warranty claim which I have created with the tcode "WTY"?

    Hello Kylie,
The table is KONV: Conditions (Transaction Data).  Two of the key fields are
    1. KNUMV (Number of the document condition) --> which you can obtain from VBAK as sap2000k previously said
    2. KPOSN (Condition item number) --> you can match this to your sales order line item (e.g. item 10)
    One non-key Field is also
    3. KSCHL (Condition type) --> here you may key in the desired condition type to see the line items where it occurs given a KNUMV:document condition number related to a VBELN:Sales Document (number)
Please let us know should you need more info.
    Kind regards,
    Eva

  • Actions in Warranty Claim

    Hi,
In creation of Warranty Claim using T Code WTY, we have Action A200 (Check Warranty (All)). If I trigger this action manually and if the Equipment is Out Of Warranty, I want the system to throw Error for a particular Warranty Type.
How do I configure this ?
    Thanks.
    Raj

Please use the VSR checks configuration. The FI guys use these often and they know how to do it.
