Creation of subtype for Infotype 1001

Hi all
My client wants two reporting realtionship ( like A002) to be done. So I tried through Matrix which i was unable to do so.
I tried to solve this problem by copying the existing subtype A002 with time constraint 2 ( for IT1001). Everything is fine in IMG and when trying to create the relationship via subtype in Easy access it is throwing error as Time constraint is missing but when i checked it is there in the table .
can anyone suggest how to handle this issue.

As I have understood with you is that the Time Constraint is not changed properly. My client also had a requirement at that time i prepared a document.

Creating subtype for Infotype.

Hi ,
I have created a customInfotype following the steps below:
1) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the 'Employee Infotype' radio button.
4) Select the 'PS Structure Infotype'.
5) Click on Create... A separate table maintenance window appears...
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on 'All' push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on 'Technical Characteristics'. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on 'Change'(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on 'Detail' (magnifying glass) button
13) Give 'T591A' as subtype table
14) Give 'T591S' as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on 'Infotype Characteristics' ... Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on 'Change' (pencil) button
19) Click on 'New Entries'
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement...
25) In the PM01 initial screen...Select 'Screen' radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select 'Layout Editor' and click 'Change'.
27) Screen default layout appears...here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Don't forget to 'Activate at every level)
In thread Infotype the following method is given to create subtype for Infotype.
<b>Subtype Creation :</b>
Transaction PM01 Goto Subtype Characteristics. Click on Append and then subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen.
Then goto technical Characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. I.e name of subtype i.e. component name defined in PSnnnn. Subtype table is T591A.
Subty.text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.
But I am having no option to create subtype from PM01.
Please guide on this.

Hi,
What you are trying to do is to modify a Standard ( delivered by SAP ) object. This would obviously not be allowed all that easily. You will have to contact SAP and obtain what is known as an access key. You would then be able to modify the object. This stipulation makes it explicit that SAP is not responsible for any problems that you may encounter by changing the standard functionality.
There is, however, an exception to this. We have something called user-exits in sAP. These are the places in the code where SAP has given the customer an option to include some custom functionality within the standard functionality. That is because SAP thinks that these are the points where customer-specific functionality is most likely.
Hope you can now see the point. If you want to modify PM01, you have to either search if an appropriate user-exit is available, or you have to contact SAP to obtain the access key.

Creation of subtypes for a custom PD Infotype.

HI Experts,
We are in the process of creating a custom PD infotype (say 9003 and hrp9003 is the table).
We want the infotype to have 2 subtypes (say 01 and 02).
We followed the steps and created the infotypes and also made sure that we create 2 subtypes and we were successful till here.
However, when we try to maintain data in IT9003(pp01), we never get an option to specify the subtype and hence whatever data we save doesnu2019t have any value in subtype field.
Please help up out to save data with subtypes.
We want something similar to infotype 1001, where we can select the relationship(subtype) and save accordingly.
How to make the subtype appear in the data creation screen? Do we have to do some changes in the module pool program?

Check the tables V_778U.....assign your subtypes to custom PD Infotype.
Check the table for Your PD infotype and subtype assigned to Object Type..

Segment E1PITYP occurs for each subtype of Infotype 1001 in update mode

Hi,
I am using transaction PFAL and IDoc HRMD_A for transferring HR data.
In update mode the resulting IDoc contains segment E1PITYP for each subtyp (for example A002) of Infotype 1001 even if it contains no segments of type E1P1001.
Could somebody explain this and is it possible to avoid this behavior?

Still I am little bit confused and want give an more detailed description of my problem.
If I export an organizational unit in initial mode I have for example 5 segments of type E1PITYP and each of them has a subsegment (for example E1P1001).
Export of the same organizational unit in update mode results in more than 200 segments of type E1PITYP and all of them without subsegment.
This seems to happen for all infotypes (not only 1001 like I thought before).
Now I want to understand why this happens and if it's possible to update an organizational unit without segments of type E1PITYP that don't have a subsegment.

Event for infotype 1001 updates doesn't trigger

Hi everyone,
I'm facing the following problem at HR Workflow
I've created the object ZEHSBUS900, subtype of PDOTYPE_SH. And so, created two events: NOTIFYCREATE and NOTIFYUPDATE.
At SWEHR3 transaction, I have this two entries:
S Position 1001 Relationships A003 Belongs to INS 0 ZEHSBUS900 NOTIFYCREATION
S Position 1001 Relationships A003 Belongs to UPD 0 ZEHSBUS900 NOTIFYUPDATE
But when I create or update an infotype 1001, only the NOTIFYCREATION is triggered. I mean, the UPD operation doesn't work.
What is stange is that I've made this kind of implementation at another system and it's working fine ( a creation at 1001 triggers NOTIFYCREATION and modifications trigger NOTIFYUPDATE ).
Do you know what could be missing?

Hi Abdullah!
Thank you for the tip, but it still doesn't work this way. As what I've said before, what is strange is that problem occurs in one system and didn't occur in another one, and the same procedure was used in both.
What I did to "solve" this was using a function instead calling the event at SWEHR3. In this function there is a verification if it is an insert ou update operation and then a call to the function SWE_EVENT_CREATE.
It wasn't the best solution, but still was a solution.
If anyone has any idea what it can be, I'm still interested about it.

How to define default subtypes for Infotype 0105 on entry

Hello;
I have spend an entire day trying to look into PA configuration to determin how to make specific Subtype of the 0105 Communication Infotype automatically appear when an HR person is entering in a new employee.
Currently we have the 0001, 0010, and ADP subtypes automatically appear in the Communication Infotype screen when the person is entering in a new employee. I was asked to create three new Subtypes for Infortype 0105 and have these new subtypes automatically appear on the data entry screen for Infotype 0105.
I can not find anywhere in configuration how to do this. I ahve burnt an entire day searching configuration and have about had it with this garbage.
Can someone please point me to specific spot in configuration where these subtypes of and Infotype can be identified as default data entry screens.
I would greatly appreciate any help ... since I am not a HR Configurator ... just a plain old ABAP'er who has lost our configurators.

To create subtypes follow:
Tcode: SPRO
Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Communication>Create Communication Types
Half the job is done. Then include those subtypes in your hiring action. To do so:
Tcode: SPRO
Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Customizing Procedures>Actions>Define infogroups>Info group
Select your hiring infogroup and create new entries with operation INS for 105 and the three subtypes.
You are all set!

How to Deactivate Subtypes for INFOTYPE 0105.0021

Can anybody tell me how to deactivate the assignment of subtypes assigned to infotypes.
I have 7 subtypes of Infotype 0105 and 5 for 0021 out of which 3 are not required by clients both in 0105 & 0021,now i have to remove the assignment made to the Infotypes but i am wondering about the customiizing steps and Tables to be maintained please help.

Thank you very much for the update,it really worked but would like to ask you 1 more guideline to delaet the subtypes of 0041-date specifications.
There are certain specifications which are not available in 0041 but still poping up automatically ,
i have checked the settings in T548Y but no help it doesnt have the options but in maintaing 0041 the options coming up .
Can you guide me on this.

Creation of subtype for IT 0016

When I am selecting IT 0016-Contract Elements in PA30, I am not getting any values in the sybtype field. How can I create subtype for contract ?

Hi Rajesh,
There are no subtypes for the IT0016, and there is no need of creating Subtypes too. The thing is just click on create button by giving the pernr and choose the required Contract type that present in the combo box. Thats it.

Subtypes definition for Infotype 0015

Hi all.
I'm customizing two different Actions for two different "Additional payments" types : Bonus and Lump Sum.
I would use subtypes, one for each "Additional payments" types (Infotype 0015).
How can I define these subtypes ? I was not able to find any customizing path to define subtypes for Infotype 0015.
I tried to look for a solution in this forum but I could not find anything useful for me.

Check if you have defined your subtype for all the object types. This can be done by defining the object type as required(if you want the description for a position, put the object type as S, if it is for Org Unit as "O" etc) in table T777Z.

How to create infotype 1001

Hi experts,
I am doing some configuration in accouting and an error pops up indicating infotype 1001 is not maintained. As I know very little about HR module so I just try to create infotype 1001 in PA30 but turn out it can not be maintained there. Could any body tell me how to maintain this infotype.

Hi Tony,
You can go to PP01, select the otype, type in the objid and create 'Relationships' infotype which is infotype 1001.
Through transaction OOVK, you can find out what all relationships have to be created for an object. Some of these can be maintained through PP01, some cannot be (selecting the relationship subtype and then allowed relationships -> not maintainable flag).
Basically, you need to find out that for which relationship (subtype of infotype 1001) it is sayin that 1001 is not maintained. Then you can go and create only that relation in PP01.

Segment E1PITYP occurs for each subtype of infotypes in update mode

Hi experts,
In update mode the resulting IDoc contains segment E1PITYP for each subtype (for example 7) of Infotype 6 (for example) even if it contains no segments of type E1P1001.
I can see all infotypes and subtypes of the distribution model in the idocs. Even if the employee does not have an infotype or one specific subtype. In this case, node E1PITYP appears without child node.
