Creation User in Mac OS X 10.9.4 Server 3.12

Hi !
If I created a new user in the Mac OS X 10.9 Server 3.12
After I finish to fill up the form in the GUI, I got a user with all the access of services selected automatically (ex: Calendar, Contacts, FileSharing, FTP, Mail, Messages, Time Machine and VPN)
When I created a new user with the command line, I got a User with a message at the end of the user in the server GUI 'Not Allowed'
In the GUI with this User no access to any services is selected. None
Could you help me with the command line to activate one or all the access of services from the command-line

If you are creating with dscl then you also need a little dseditgroup to place the account in the SACL groups. An example would be:
sudo dseditgroup -o edit -u localadmin -p -a "username" -t user com.apple.access_afp
You will need to change the localadmin to your server's admin name. You can switch the -p to a -P and embed the password. Chance "username" to the user's short name. And then change the group to the SACL group that you want to give the user access to.

You have to turn on Sharing and then Authenticate Sharing on the other devices. You can have up to 5.

Sharing files between users and macs

My husband and I share an iMac. I have a MBA for traveling and my husband a PC laptop (though he rarely uses for private stuff). We both have iPhones.
We are looking for a way to:
- Share our photos (we don't use iPhoto) and some files. We would like to have this in one shared folder, that we can access from both accounts in the iMac, the MBA and ideally (though not a must) the PC and iPhones. We would both need to have admin rights to edit documents, etc.
- Have access to all the information in my account on the iMac from the MBA. Ideally, same thing for his and the PC.
- Have access to all the data remotely when traveling.
- Have all the data backed up locally (we already have a cloud backup, but we'd like to have a local backup too as it's easier and quicker to access)
We have read a lot about configuration, NAS, time capsule... but we get more and more confused, as we are obviously no tech experts.
Dropbox is not our preferred choice. We already have a cloud backup system. We'd rather have the files stored and accessed locally for everyday use.
Using a NAS to store shared folders and backup the rest sounds good, but they either seem very complicated to set up, or they have mixed reviews in terms of stability, especially to access files remotely.
Timecapsule seems easier and more straightforward, but I'm not sure it would solve the "sharing files between users and macs with admin rights"? It seems to be more focused on backing up the main drive and then providing access to the backed up files. (Though I might be completely mistaken!)
We just can't manage to have one shared folder between both accounts in the iMac. We need to grant admin rights document by document. We don't manage to make it work automatically so we both have one folder to access with full rights for all the contents inside it. And this seems to me like something that should easily be done...?
Any help, advice, proposals... would be greatly appreciated!!!

Move any file you want to the other user to access to the Shared Folder. Anything you put in that folder is available to all users.
The shared folder is here:
Macintosh HD > Users > Shared

How do I go about setting up my new wireless all-in-one Epson XP-215 printer to my MacBook Pro? The system is not automatically detecting the printer ad the furthest I get is "System" keychain user and pswd but I am a new user to Mac.

I am a new user to Mac and trying to set up an Epson XP-215 All-in-One printer without any success. The Mac Book Pro is not recogising the Printer automatically and when following the instructions to add the printer, it gets as far as a display box for teh user and password for "System" Keychain but I am not sure what info to add there...
The printer is meant to have a function calle dAir Print also that is meant to be used for Mac but I cannot figure out any of this! Why would the MacBook Pro not automatically pic up the printer? Please help...

In order to resolve the issue if it occurs again, more info would be helpful as to what occurred prior to the "hang." One potential fix would be to try a Safe Boot:
After the Mac is completely shut down, push the power button and immediately after the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
There should be a message that says "SafeBoot." After the Mac is completely booted, try restarting and see if the issue is gone.

This is a little confusing since you say you have forgotten your password and then the system says you have not entered a password. Even with an Admin account you must have a password to install software.
If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 or above, you can change the admin password by restarting holding the Command and R keys, from the menu bar select Utilities, then Terminal. When the Terminal window opens, at the cursor type exactly:
resetpassword
and press Enter. When the Reset Password window opens, select the internal hard drive, and then the user account. Type a new password twice, leave the Hint blank, and then Save. Accept the next dialog that opens, and at the bottom of the Reset Password window agree to resetting the home directory permissions.
Quit the Reset Password window, go to the apple left side of the menu bar, Restart.
And you have a new password for your account.

CRM - SAP ECC 6.0- How to keep creation user data

Hello gurus,
I'm working on a SAP project which scope is CRM - ECC6.0 (IS-U +SD) - BI 7.0 and we are facing an issue trying to extract from IS-U the user who created a business operation.
You have to know that process designed is :
- business operation is created in CRM (as for business partner, contract account ...) by a user A.
- business operation is replicated from CRM to IS-U
- Communication user set up is called RFCUSER.
So that every business operations created in CRM, is created in IS-U and get mentioned in user creation area : RFCUSER instead of user A.
Similarly when an business operation is modified from ISU to CRM, the modification user is RFCUSER.
This is an issue when we try to know which user has created this business operation in ISU. We must go in CRM to read data.
So I want to konw if it's possible to change the communication user (make every user a communication user. It seems to be the worst solution, or if we can change bdoc structure exchange to keep creation user data, or if a customizing exists to solve this issue).

Upgrade from EHP4 to EHP6 is a single upgrade.
Bear in mind that EHP6 needs a higher version of OS and DB.

There are different upgrade scenarios. The section "Recommendations for Choosing the Preconfiguration Mode" explains the use of each mode and the mode you should select.

Yes you can. But I suggest you to create a new file system called /usr/sap/SID/SUM for the upgrade purpose instead of creating a directory called SUM under /usr/sap/SID file system.

the Mac internal HD ist not shown on import screen (no user drive shown!). Whenn I select 'choose other source' I can see the user drive but no
finder-structure an all!!! pictures appear for import (sorry if I don't use the

I followed the instructions and my user drive has now been restored to the image source list... phew !!

I have a Mac Mini with OS X Server 10.8.5 and Server 2.2.1 and have a problem to share the public folder.
When I enter the Server application to indicate that I want to share the public folder on the network and assign user I get the following message appears
And I can not share the folder.
If I go from my i-mac get mac mini server view and access the public folder, but I can not open any of the files there.
That I can do to fix this?

How To Delete Hidden Users On Mac/Macbook
What You Will Need:
- An Administrator Account
- Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal)
Steps:
- Open Terminal
- Copy this command line into terminal window (without colons) "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow Hide500Users -bool NO"
- Hit return
- If it prompts you for password, type in your current user's PW and hit return(when you type it will be invisible so make sure you type correctly)
- Close Terminal
- Goto 'Users & Groups' (System Preferences > Users & Groups)
- You should be able to see a new user(the hidden user) under 'Other Users' section
- Click on the lock icon and type in your Administrator Username & Password to unlock it
- Click on the User(the hidden user) and press the minus icon and delete it like a normal account
Done!

Hi Amanda,
Software applications are usually installed in the Applications folder on the Macintosh HD and are accessible to all users.
I would advise you to check the Applications folder and see if your software is in there.
Next step would be to Control Click or Right Click on the application and choose "Get Info" and make sure the permissions are set to "Read & Write" for all users. The article below provides more details:
