Creative Cloud Installer doesn't won't install anything and won't uninstall itself. Nothing in system tray and doesn't show uo in force quit applications

I ran the installation which opened a blank window with a loading animation. Nothing happened. I rebooted and now Creative Cloud installer won't load, I can't uninstall using the uninstaller because it says the application is running though I see nosing of it. I have downloaded the dog file and tried a second installation but that just quits out after a second of attempting to run. Any advice?

Update: 5th atemot at install and it now claims to be downloading the applications.

I had creative cloud installed in a parallels deskto virtual machine on my mac, I delete the virtual machine without deactivate the creative cloud. after reinstall a new VM running windows 8.1. pro 64 bits, I downloaded the creative cloud installer but it does not install ang give an Error code 72, it is assuming that I already are using the Creative cloud in 2 computer, but itis no the case, how to solve this situation?

Dave: I did the Microsoft Update two days before this happened, and rebooted as required.  I just created a new restore point and lauched Creative Cloud.  Now I get the famous white screen:
It just sits and spins (been 10 minutes now).
Fortunately, I saved away this command (which I've had to use 4 or 5 times already):
    del %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db
Unfortunately now, I get this (even after closing the above window):
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
So I killed everything that said "Adobe" in the task manager and this time, the command succeeded.
Fortunately, the current apps seem to still work.  I can't seem to find the "Creative Cloud" app in the applications on my system, but I launched Photoshop CC, told it to look for updates, and got a list of the 5 prgorams that need updates in the Adobe Application manager:
I will proceed with the updates, holding my breath.

  • Hi, I downloaded the Creative Cloud Installer, the installer initializes but that's it. It doesn't install. There a reason I miss? (OS X 10.9.5)

    Hi,
I downloaded the Creative Cloud Installer, the installer initializes but that's it. It doesn't install. There a reason I miss? (OS X 10.9.5)
I made an abo for the CC, Student version, downloaded the CC Installer, but every time I double click it to install, ist just initializes, and as the bar is HALF full, the window disappears and nothing. It doesn't install or anything.
I tried re download, re tried to install,  I tried a re start. No luck.
    So what am I missing?
I can't install any desktop application without the creative cloud?
    Thanks for any help!

    Never mind.
Found a way by trashing AAM Updater, the OOBE, AAM an ACC itself and so on, and cleaned it all with CC cleaner.
But this was a very complicated way for a non-IT person to do, especially when everywhere you can read "Just Download, Install an go!"
    No plus points.
    Regards.

  • Creative Cloud Installer won't install.

I've got a subscription to Photoshop CC and noticed that it doesn't appear to be up-to-date. I go to the Adobe website, to the downloads section, to see about manually downloading the latest version, but instead of getting a link to download Photoshop, it gives me a link to download the Creative Cloud installer. Fine. I download the package, open the disk image and run the installer. It begins downloading the Creative Cloud desktop application (which I apparently don't already have), getting about halfway through the progress bar before disappearing without a trace. I've since tried following the instructions for manually uninstalling Photoshop by running the uninstaller in the Utilities folder. It tells me that it needs to download the Creative Cloud installer, and I'm back to square one.
I'm on a mid-2009 Macbook Pro running OS/X 10.9.5. Is there anything I might have missed?

    Here are the screen grabs:
    1. Downloading the CC installer package. No problems there.
    2. Running the CC installer package. So far so good.
    3. After about 2 minutes, the progress bar gets to about the halfway point.
    4. Then it just vanishes into thin air. No error code, no warning, nothing. Just BOOP! and it's gone.
And everything else I try to do leads me back to this. If I try to uninstall Photoshop manually, it tells me that it's missing the Creative Cloud application and so I'm back to here.

  • Attempting to install Creative Cloud Installer crashes my computer

I am attempting to install Adobe products from Creative Cloud using Creative Cloud installer. I am on a Macbook Pro version 10.6.8 Build 10K459 if that helps at all.
When I try to install, the authentication window asking for the admin password crashes and I can't type in the window. When I cancel the download, Finder crashes and the only course of action is to reboot the computer manually via the power button.
I can install other programs which go through the same administrator permission without issue, so I'm quite sure this is not my computer's problem. I have re-downloaded the installer several times to no difference.
One additional detail that may help is that I had trials of Photoshop and Flash Pro on the same computer in the past, which have been uninstalled.
    Thank you for any help!!

Just another detail - I was advised to try creating a new user with administrator privilege on my computer, this didn't work either, just had the same problem.

  • Creative Cloud installer sticks with Lightroom 4.1 instead showing and installing 4.3

What's wrong with the installer? (see topic)
I had 4.1 installed as separate installation before I switched to the creative cloud.
Apparently there is at least one installation bug: I removed Lightroom completely by using uninstall. Afterwards installed it via the creative cloud installer. Lightroom gets installed to C:\Programs Files\ where it was installed before, completely ignoring the Install path given in the creative cloud installer (which is C:\Adobe for me), which even makes the installer not activating the "Launch app" link, as the software is not installed where it expects it.
So that's two things to fix: Lightroom 4.3 not available in creative cloud, install path gets ignored by Lightroom installation. :-(

Thank you for the information about the custom installation path.  You should be able to install Lightroom 4.1 to the default location and then install Lightroom 4.3.  Lightroom 4.3 will then utilize the licensing information from Lightroom 4.1.
We are looking at providing an updated version of Lightroom within the Adobe Application Manager in the future.

I click download and I have the creative cloud installer in finder. When I open it, creative cloud opens for about three seconds with a loading sign but then disappears. I have been trying to figure this out for an hour and nothing is working. I have closed everything that is open and have even restarted my computer. • Creative Cloud Installation Failure

Second night with the same issue, creative cloud for desktop on Windows 7 wants to update again.  It starts, downloads, and fails again.  Last night I went through the effort of trying to repair it via the other forum topics.  I ended up uninstalling everything with the clean command, renamed the OOBE directory multiple times to something else, and finally installed everything again.  Of course, shutdown and restart this evening... there is a new update... and Fail.  Back to the starting point again.
Looking at the installation logs it appears the root cause is the creative cloud installation is not getting administrator rights.  It's not asking for them either.  Accord to the OOBE LOGS, it can't clean up and remove some directories.  Thus is rolls back the installation and calls it a failure.

Looks like the mystery hash based installation package your attempting to uninstall is not installed.  Funny, most would call that a success (it's not there after all) and just move on to the installation step.  However, it appears the world has ended and we can no longer proceed.
My issue is that I see this over and over again in the installation logs as I travel back in time.  Same package, same permission issues. The result is the same generic installation failed message with no additional explaination.  Then your make me jump through hoops to work around this issue when to me this is a software bug that should be a severity 1 given the number of topic posts. Instead I waste my time posting on the forum and performing the same work around over and over again.  Instead of using the tools to do something creative.
So when are the Engineers going to fix this issue instead of posting the same work around over and over?

Didn't work.  I uninstalled the apps that won't update, ran the Adobe CC cleaner, reinstalled, and still the same apps will not update.
Here is what I get from Windows' Event Viewer for Photoshop CC:
The description for Event ID 1 from source Adobe Setup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
    Installing Adobe Photoshop CC Driver 14.0.0.0 {2D99B50E-431D-4AA8-85C1-172A6F8BCF09}
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
    And for InDesign:
The description for Event ID 1 from source Adobe Setup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
    Installing Adobe InDesign CC 9.0.0.0 {BC448016-6F11-1014-B0EA-97CEE6E26CB6}
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

  • Photoshop 13.1 for Creative Cloud Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

So, Lion won't let me deactivate, so I can't use the updates that I just bought with signing up for the Cloud, so I tried installing on my Mountain Lion Macbook and this is what I get...
    Photoshop 13.1 for Creative Cloud
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
    Please Help, somebody!
Spent about an hour with Adobe Tech support just trying to figure out why I couldn't deactivate my product, only to find I had to close the chat room and the advice still didn't work.
Very frustrated, here!  I have no updates on either computer, now!

    Hi Jules,
Sorry to hear about your difficulties.
    My recommendation would be
    - Uninstall PS via Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers (Mac OS X)
    - Create a new user with Admin rights, log out of your current account and into the newly created one
    10.7 http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4600
    10.8 http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11468
    - Reinstall Photoshop CS6 via Adobe Application Manager
    - Try to update to 13.1 using Help > Updates in Photoshop CS6
