Belkin to a fantastic range for the ipod but yet im finding it hard to get something that is designed for any creative mp3 player! If anyone could let me know if there is such a range or if there soon will be it will be of great help! Cheers

You can find the accessories for Zen V Plus from Creative website, see the right hand side of this webpage. http://us.creative.com/products/prod...4&product=5306?
The store in which you got the Zen V Plus would inevitably have some accessories you can use too.Message Edited by eddy2099 on 02-06-2008:0 AM

  • Apartment Bookshelf Stereo Solution with Creative mp3 Pla

I'm looking for a recommendation for an at-home speaker setup for the Creative mp3 players.
We li've in a small apartment with a small living room, so we do not need that much power. We just want to have a convenient way to play our mp3s and listen to the radio.
The ideal setup would be a small unit of speakers (or separate speakers) with a drop-in dock for the mp3 player. A remote could be used to adjust volume, go to the next track, or turn power on and off. FM radio reception would also be nice. It MUST provide power to the mp3 player so the mp3 player is not running on batteries. I've seen all kinds of products that do this with iPods, but we already have (and enjoy) our Creative products.
Of course I can just connect one of our mp3 players to a bookshelf stereo. This is not a terrible solution as long as I have the A/C power cord close by. No remote and no easy dock, but it works... I already do this in our bedroom using the little bookshelf stereo we have.
The big downside to this is that I have read in the manual for some Creative mp3 players that you shouldn't leave them plugged in an charging all the time. That's a bit of a problem if we want to leave it connected to the stereo most of the time, and don't want to worry about having to recharge it.
We have older mp3 players like the Jukebox 3 and the Zen Xtra. I've seen the portable docking device for the Zen Micro, but no way do we want an mp3 player with such a tiny hard dri've. We need at least 20GB.
How about connecting a Zen Vision M, or an older Zen/Jukebox to something like the I-Trigue L3800, or to one of those iPod devices like the Klipsch iGroove? The I-Trigue with the Creative Wireless Remote I200 is one option, but is it safe to leave the mp3 player plugged into AC power all the time?
I've also considered a WiFi stereo component that can pull songs off the computer, but with that the computer always has to stay on. When we have a house maybe I'll build a media computer/server that stays running all the time, but for now we just want a very basic setup for our apartment.
I wouldn't mind upgrading my mp3 player, so I'm pretty close to just purchasing a 30GB iPod and one of the many drop-in solutions for playing your iPod tunes in the living room. Too bad Creative doesn't offer such an accessory for the large-capacity Zen mp3 players.
    Sean

Hmmm... I am now finding some intriguing accessories... like the Cambridge Pladock that can play and charge Zen players. A little pricey for what probably isn't the best-sound, but all those iPod solutions from Klipsch and Bose are pricey as well.
Looks like the Zen Vision M docking station might be a good solution. Does anyone have one of these that they just leave connected to the stereo and/or tv and AC power? How do you like it's I guess this might be more versatile than the Playdock.
Not quite as slick as the many iPod solutions out there, but I like the Creative mp3 players we already have, and the Vision M looks like an awfully nice updgrade from my Jukebox 3 (which has been a little buggy since a recent drop to the pavement). In addition to using it to listen to our mp3s over external speakers, it would be nice to use it for watching video on the tv as well.Message Edited by sean000 on 08-2-2006 02:55 PMMessage Edited by sean000 on 08-2-2006 03:3 PM

  • Why can't i buy a creative mp3 player in a normal retail sto

i find it really rather disturbing that creative mp3 players are not more widely available in normal retail stores. i li've in one of the top 0 major metropolitan cities in the USA and i go into my local best buy and all they have is a 5GB micro, a 20GB xtra, and a 20GB(?) touch. why is that all they have? if i want a MUVO, i'm screwed. meanwhile that same best buy has every style, size, and color of all the ipod crap and a million accessories (bleh) but NOTHING for creative. the only micro they have is the black one, and only in the 5GB size. i go to another place like Staples, and they have the muvo TX, no micros.
I go next door the the compusa, they've got a full lineup of all the ypod crap, nothing from creative.
i find it really irritating when one wants to say, buy a player for a friend and cannot find what they are looking for. makes it real easy to buy the freaking ypods. ugh.

    steveski wrote:
hey blood, you're completely missing my point... I KNOW i can order them online at a million places.
the poster that said they don't want to compete with prices, that's insane. there would be NO STORES anywhere if stores were really afraid of that. internet prices are lower for EVERYTHING.
my point is i guess, why don't stores stock more stuff from creative (other then soundblaster stuff)? the answer to my own question is probably that creative stuff does not sell as well as ipod stuff.
the reason i say this is a friend of mine was heading out of town and was interesting in getting an mp3 player for the trip so i suggested he might look into the new creative MIX thingy but we everywhere we looked they had nothing, so the dolt ended up getting an ipod shuffle. oh well. we lost another one due to players just not being in the stores. sad!
I bought my zen micro from a retail store.. In canada. In holland in the one electronics store they have the touch,3 colors of micro, 2 muvo players, and a Xtra. They only had the ipod mini...

  • Latest MediaSource Plugins for various Creative MP3 Players are now available for downl

Just went to the product support site. Guess what? The latest MediaSource plugins for the various Creative MP3 Players are now available for download. I am sure the latest plugins should have fixed several problems.
Don't forget to download the latest Creative MediaSource v3.30.2 too. Install the latest Creative MediaSource first before you install the MediaSource Plugins of your respecti've MP3 Players.
Note: According to the download site, the latest MediaSource plugins require you to have at least v3.20.57 of Creative MediaSource.

    Thanks micromouse
... but there's no new plugin for the original Jukebox
I've always had trouble connecting to MediaSource with my JB and was hoping for a new plugin to sort all my problems.

  • Creative MP3's have a short li

This is my second Creative MP3 that has just died(after the warrantee is over)! The first was the Zen Touch 40 GB=worked nicely for about 9 months, then blah. nothing. It would power on but give only error messages. The Creative help people said it was done for.
Now I have the MuVo 2 FM 5 GB. Same thing. Worked for over a year- then, without warning- just died- wouldn't even power on. Yes I tried all the reboot suggestions. Lucky I have all the stuff backed up on my laptop.
I am pretty disgusted. These players are not cheap. I have also purchased one of those cheap sanyo mp3's and it has worked for 3 years without a problem. Go figure.
Can anybody recommend a better product?
    Thanks ,

  • Creative MP3

Hi, I have a Creative MP3 player. I tried loading the software disc on Mac but it was not recognised. My whole library is on the MP 3 player and so I want to avoid building a whole new library. Is there anyway I can avoid this and transfer the library on the MP3 player to ITunes/library?

It's quite probable that you can access the player without using any software (this works with my Creative Zen). Simply plug it into your Mac and see whether it mounts on the Desktop. If it does then you can open it as if it were an external hard disk and drag the files from there into iTunes. (Just just drag them into the Library window and iTunes will copy them and index them.)

  • Creative MP3+ External soundcard support..

Does the Creative MP3+ External soundcard support "Stereo Mix"?

    @Creativeuser1
You still haven't tell us if you are using the X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro or the X-Fi Surround 5.1 .
    1. Did you activate any audio enhancements, like CMSS, crystalizer, etc..?
Go to the Entertainment Console and click on the Default checkbox. That should turn off all audio enhancements and reset all settings to default.
    2. This two products doesn't have Gaming or Audio Creation mode.

  • Creative MP3 Players and Car Au

    Hello,
I'm a newbie and I don't know a lot about MP3 players so I hope you can help me out. I have a brand new Kenwood car audio with an USB cable to plug your MP3 player in. My friend's Samsung MP3 player doesn't work, after some research I find out that the MP3 player has to be an MTP one to work with the car audio. Now my question is: are all Creative MP3 players MTP maschines and do I have to make a software update or what ever to "make them be" a MTP player?
Thanks a lot for any support!

Are you sure about this? Which Kenwood is it exactly? The info I've seen on the Kenwoods say that the USB device must be MSC (not MTP).
Perhaps your friend's Samsung is MTP, and that's why it didn't work.

  • Creative mp3 reliabili

do all these issues on this message board not tell you something?
i have had 2 creative zen 4gb mp3 players and both have gone wrong in a couple of weeks, very little actual direct support too.
i can definitly say that i wont be getting another one!
but some of their other products are ok, i.e cd dri'ves etc.

Well, I got my first Creative MP3 way back in 2004 and that was the Zen 20gb (the black brick) and it is working even today without me having to bring it down for servicing. I suspect that I will probably grow bored of it before it dies.
I also got a Creative MuVo V200 about the same time and although it is still working, I stopped using it because the screen is too small and now the memory size is too small. But it still makes a nice thumbnail **bleep** radio.
I got two new Zen, one 4gb (September 2007) and a 2gb (January 2008). Both are working great now. However, the 4gb did die a month after use and I got a replacement in October. The replacement is working great no problem as yet. I guess it probably all ends up with luck because if the failure rate is high, they would have issue a recall or something. So far each time I visit the Creative Stores in Singapore with the Service Centres, they are usually very empty, the most I see is like ?or 2?customers at the service centre. Most time, nobody is there.
I love my Creative products, I am currently using their keyboard, sound card. headphones and earphones.Message Edited by eddy2099 on 0-20-200808:09 AM

  • Creative MP3 players still RELIABLE??? (headphone jack/software) USERS OF NEW PRODUCT NEED

after BOTH of my zen micro has headphone jack problem and the error filled software for the zen micro, i doubt about it's reliability, i want to ask the people who use creative's new players (mp3/photo/video) to tell me what they experienced. because i never like Apple, but they are much more durable to use. They can withstand so much physical dmg and works perfectly, on the other hand, the smallest vibration/movement caused the zen micro headphone jack's metal pieces to go out of place(have no contact on the male connector for headphones)
please tell me ur experiences of the newer Creative mp3/video players

i've owned 3 creative and i only had problems with the zen xtra and thats one of their older players, with the zen micro and vision m i havent had any problems including the headphone jack, and i put my players through some rough times so i think their improvin upon the quality/durability overall

  • Creative Mp3 Players MTP Problem Solution

Hi,because of the firmware and windows problems,if you have a mp3 player with a firmware that doesn't support MTP problem, sometimes even if you reformat your computer, you can get "player not connected" error. To solve this you must install MTP supporting firmware on your mp3 player, but if you don't want to upgrade your firmware (because of being afraid of stucking in the recovery mode, some other reasons)there is some other solutions to solve this problem.
Editing registry keys, and some other patches did nothing to solve my problem. So I deleted all Creative Drivers and programs from Add/Remove Programs, and I deleted Windows Media Player 0 and installed Windows Media Player 9,than I installed everything from my mp3 player's cd (media source, nomad explorer, device drivers, etc.) and I downloaded and installed new device driver (version 2...) from creative web site. I restarted my computer, and my problem is completely solved. Try it...

  • Creative MP3 Player (Microphoto) Blank LCD Display Scr

[size="">Hi, The LCD Display Screen on the Creative MP3 Player is blank. The blue background light will come on but nothing on the screen. I saw that it was suggested to update the firmware, however, I have no idea how to do that. If someone can explain to me how to do that I will try it. Or maybe you can suggest something else that I can do. I already tried several things suggested on your website, like removing the battery and installing it again, etc. I would appreciate it if someone would help me. Thanks!

[size="">Good Morning,[size="">I tried the firmware upgrade, however, the screen is still blank. Should I have removed the batter and re-install it again? I tried calling support, however if my product is not in warranty it really doesn't give me that many options or refers me to anyone. Is there a telephone number in particular I should call. Thank you for your advise though, I appreciate it!? Have a

  • Which is better? The i-pod or Creatives mp3 playe

I am conducting a survey and I just wanted to know what everyone think. Is the I-pod better than Creatives mp3 players? If it is, why. Also, why is Creative mp3 players better. Thanks for your contribution.

iPods are nice and have a good amount of features. The iTunes online store is fantastic; very easy and nicely priced. You can't fault Apple for what they've been able to do- grab the mindshare for the MP3 market.
However, I have to side with the- SHOCK- WMA side of things.
The problem I wound up having with iTunes is that, if I want to choose a player for my purchased tunes, short of burning/ripping, was to buy an iPod.
However, buying with WMA, you have more choices, and you're not locked in. In fact, when I decided to change MP3 players, I went from a Zen Xtra to a Zen Touch. I really like the Creative brand. The interface is easy, I find, and I don't think Creative Mediasource is the dog that some have made it out to be. I looked at the Samsung YH-925GS, an Ipod (20GB), Zen Micro, and Rio Karma. I kept coming back to the Zen Touch. I think it looks great, handles great, has awesome battery life, is CHEAPER, and is the right size, both physically and with disk space.
    So, yes, Creative is better.
