Creative Suite Programs not lauching - Updates

For some reason I could not edit or add to my first post...not sure why...
Here is my original post:
"I just upgraded my PC, to an AMD 5400B, AMD 780chipset, ATI 3870 graphics, 4GB RAM, and Seagate 320GB using the AHCI mode. I updated all the drivers, and service packs, including SP3 for Windows XP pro.
I install Creative Suite Design Premium 3 without a problem. However when I try to lauch any of the programs to enter the product key code, nothing opens.
I check the tast manager and it shows the program running under processes, InDesign.exe, or Illistrator.exe, etc but nothing ever opens.
I did a full erase, reinstalled everything, and same exact problem. No other program is having any issues on the workstation. Any suggestions?"
At first I assumed it must be something with XP SP3, however I discovered that it had something to do with my hard drive settings. I had enabled AHCI instead of IDE mode, I was planning on using some hot swap SATA drives but needed the AHCI enabled. Well long story short with AHCI enabled the programs will not launch so i can't enter the product key code. If I run in IDE mode then the programs launch just fine.
I'm not sure why this would cause such an issue...

Please contact Adobe Technical Support and advise them of this problem and your "workaround" for it. I suspect that the problem may have to do with the activation mechanism and it's use of the disk. Our development and support organization should be made aware of this problem.

    Yes, please contact Adobe Technical Support. They have experience with this class of problems and will assist you. Phone assistance for installation problems (which this is) is at no charge.

  • Cannot open my creative suite programs

    I have had a problem and have been cleaning up my files, somewhere i must have removed an important Adobe program file and now none of my creative suite programs will open. I have tried to re-instal from disc but have had a lot of troubkle as the instilation manager was missing as well. I have now managed to get it to re-instal and it is doing this as i type but it would only let me up load a trial version. I'm not good at this stuff and I dont know what is going on???

    can i re download my creative suite which i purchased 3 years ago? as you can appreciate it was very expensive so i don't want to be up for the cost of a new one.  the records of my transaction are also located on my dead mac.

    You likely never have to repurchase any Adobe product - and depending on which version it might not be available for purchase anyways.
    You have not identified which Creative Suite, so here is a general link to lead you to the download for whichever version it might be...

    You will need your serial number to activate the installation.  If you have no record of it then you might be able to find it thru your Adobe account online.  If you remain unable to locate it, you can try contacting Adobe support thru chat.  If you/they can somehow confirm you own the product they might be able to provide you the serial number you need.

    Hi, my name is Yehudis Kleiman. I am having trouble with my Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. I've been having trouble with it ever since I got the programs. I was on the phone many times with adobe and nothing was ever fully solved. I though in the beginning that the problem was coming from my graphics card so I went out and bought a new one (which Adobe told me which ones were supported by) The graphics card is a GeForce GTX260 Core 216 896MB. Once I got this card things got a little better for a short while. Now my photoshop just tells me all the time NOT RESPONDING....... It takes a really long time for it to do anything and it shuts off on me a lot. Illustrator doesn't always open up for me, and when if does open it gives me problems. I also  should mention I tried my programs on another computer to see if It was my computer that was causing trouble and no It didn't work either on the other computer. I really need my programs I am a trying to be a graphic artist and I am loosing out on money from all the problems here.
    My customer id# is 196302032. and my case No. from last call is 204622736.
    I think that this is crazy and if it is not resolved soon I think Adobe should send me a free upgrade of CS5.

    This is a user to user forum and nobody from Adobe will read this.
    You put nothing in here for anybody to help you with anyways.
    What operating system? 32 bit or 64 bit?
    How much RAM?
    How much hard drive space remaining?
    Go to the Nvidia website and update the video card drivers from there?
    What does Windows event viewer say about errors? You need to post the errors here for people to look at.

  • Why has my CS2 Creative Suite suddenly not working?

    I have been using my Adobe Creative Suite CS2 on this computer for a couple of years now, but I recently got a message stating a serious error had occurred and I would need to reinstall. I have tried to reinstall twice, but still get the same message. Why can't I reinstall this program?

    I do not remember there being an uninstaller for CS2, just toss into trash. You can try the cleaner app:

    and then re-installing. I think CS 2 did not have universal applications nor universal installers. There have been many complaints about CS 2 installers on modern Mac OS computers. The installers and applications were not designed with Snow Leopard in mind. You might have to switch to an older OS, install CS2, then update to Snow Leopard again.
    If you want to try something less drastic, you could try to Archive and Install Snow Leopard, but don't hold up much hope for that.
    Of course you could update to the Creative Cloud.

    Hi, I just downloaded the Creative Suite on my PC. I am afraid the my PC is not currently set for best optimization for running programs such as Photoshop and After Effects. While working in After Effects I had problems with pixelated images. I'm working with a Lenovo (IBM), Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU G2030 3.00 GHZ Processor, 4.00 gb of RAM (3.90 available currently), 64 bit OS, x64 based processor. I know it's not the ideal system, but I don't use it for anything else but the Creative Suite. Any suggestions besides pitching it and purchasing a mac?

    Sorry it was while working in Photoshop that I experienced pixelated images.

  • My email providers are telling me to upgrade my browser, I have an imac G5 with OS X 10.4.11 my OS is Tiger, I've upgraded as far as it will allow me. I have the Creative Suite Programs (photoshop etc) If I upgrade OS will it affect these programs?

    You will need to upgrade Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 2 for Lion or ML. CS3 version 10 will work.
    Mac OS X Leopard discs are expensive. Snow Leopard requires an Intel CPU.

    I am in school for web design, and i have got some programs from adobe creative suite 6. I had restore my computer to factory settings due to other issues. I tried to back up everything, but when i put it back on it wont work. The school helped me get the programs so it is not on my order list. When i first downloaded it, it was from a email. I was told to try and do it again from same email, but it says serial code is wrong. I have 3 assignments late now, and i need this program to do any of them. Please help me asap. (Note: My serial code works other places and when really needed to, wont.)
