"credit balance is out of date"...BUT WONT REFRESH!!???

I got, and used, 2 iTunes gift cards. On the 2nd purchase, I exceeded the balance of credit I had, so i figured it would jsut charge my (checking) account as usual. Well, I was able to purchase and download the songs ok, but my balance is "stuck", at +$9.61......now when I try and make purchases, it wont let me, and gives me an error "your credit balance is out of date, press "OK" to refresh and try again".....BUT IT WONT WORK...
What now?

Log out and log back into iTunes. Don't simply quit iTunes and restart it.

I think this has to do with having a gift card balance. When I did not have a gift card balance, I was able to use the "update all" button. Then I redeemed an iTunes card and got the same message you did, but I was able to update each app individually. When I used up my iTunes balance and it was back to $0, I was able to use the "update all" button again.
The update process on iTunes and the iPhone is very buggy. I can't get any of my updated Apps to sync with the iPhone today. I hope they get this worked out soon.

  • Why does Chrome insist Adobe Flash Player is out of date, but I have the latest version?

I run Mac OSx 10.5.8. I am trying to use Chrome, but the Flash is not working on either Safari or Chrome. Chrome insists Adobe Flash is out of date
, but I have the latest version available to my OS.
I have tried uninstalling, disabling plugins, reinstalling and enabling.
I have tried updating via Adobe website over 10 times.
I have tried switches which just run the outdated plugins...
I have tried renaming the system plugin in the Library and pasting in Chrome package contents
I don't have two flash plugins in the chrome:plugins
This is the error message in the chrome:plugins
Flash - Version: 10.3.183.23 Download Critical Security Update
The link goes to the Adobe website to install version 10.3.183.23, which I already have.
    Please help?

Yes, it is indeed! Sorry I missed you're on OS X 10.5.8.
    I reinstalled Chrome...
Can you confirm it is version 21.0.1180.79? It's important you confirm you're at the latest version of Google Chrome too.
... and I have the same issue of the Flash player not automatically updating.
I would repeat myself... "available updates for Adobe Flash Player are automatically included in Chrome system updates".
Chrome automatically updates when new versions of Flash Player are available. The integrated Google Chrome Flash plug-in cannot be uninstalled using the Flash Player uninstaller. You can only enable or disable the integrated plug-in.
Therefore, as it's showing you're at the latest version 10.3.183.23, it would appear it is an issue 'internal' to Chrome's system updates; reason why I had referred you to their support, or alternativelly, post to their forums.
However, you can try Adobe's Help page (for Mac) here >
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html
And alternativelly (Flash Player with Google Chrome) here >
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-google-chrome.html
Regret couldn't do better for you but please confirm by return how it goes.
    Good Luck!

  • HT201269 my phone says my itunes is out of date but it isnt

i cannot connect to itunes because it says its out of date but it isnt.

Assuming you have OS10.6.8 as stated. Have you tried to update Flash Player yet? You can either go directly to the Adobe.com site, or from your Mac's System Preferences under the Apple menu. Also, you may see popups asking to update Flash, but I prefer to go directly to my System Preferences as there is a small chance a popup could be fake.
Under System Preferences, Flash is in the "other" section. Select this, then go to the "Advanced" tab. There's a section to check version now and it states which version you have. Make a note. Go through the update procedure when it asks to update, then check the version again. If it didn't change to 11.8.800.168 (as of today, I hope), then try the Disk Utility permissions repair.
Disk Utility is an app in the Mac's Utilities folder, although most people also have it on their Dock. When run, you select your Macintosh HD in the left column, then in the right, with "First Aid" tab selected, there's a button near the bottom to "Repair Disk Permissions." This is a housekeeping chore that helps clean up certain parts of the OS. It can take 10-15 minutes or more to complete. When done, go back and do the Flash Player update again, and see if the latest update actually installs.

  • Software out of date, but won't update, Software out of date, but won't update

My mac is running 10.4.11. I know it's out of date, but when I try software update, it says my software is up to date.  I'm assuming this is the reason I can't update my iTunes and thus also can not sync my iPhone to my iTunes.
I saw another question similar and someone responded that you would need to PURCHASE the next update. Is that true? And if so, that's terrible. Please tell me there are downloads available for me so that I can update my operating system and then update my iTunes.

  • HT1918 I recently was unable to watch a movie I purchased & paid for because my credit card was out of date. Surely you cannot take access to items I have purchased away from me if I do not own a credit card?

I recently was unable to watch a movie I purchased & paid for because my credit card was out of date. Surely you cannot take access to items I have purchased away from me if I do not own a credit card? Does this mean that I will no longer be able to view purchases if I decide to cancel my credit card. If this is the case, I will not be purchasing movies from iTunes again

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.
    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

  • Tabs just keep rolling across my screen endlessly; update never gets installed. Have selected free download many times with same result. Firefox follows up with a message that my version is out of date but I can't get the update to completely install.

Firefox 34.0.5 is not doing the blocking as it is due to the blocklist. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/

    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p158 (Blocked on October 5, 2012)
You were looking at another blocklist page which was https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p156 posted on same day.
The https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ is not always accurate or reliable (needs to be manually updated) as Adobe has not been keeping the Adobe products versions to check for updated on that page as the recent Flash updates on December 9 has shown.
It is however accurate when it says versions in Plugins panel of Addons Manager is outdated.
There is Adobe Reader 11.0.10 though it seems like Adobe still provides 10.1.4 at http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ yet newer versions are at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows

James, why does the Firefox addon page link to the 9.5 "blocked for your protection" page instead of the 10.5 blocked page? Is that a mistake/failure to update on Adobe's part? That seems like something that should be controlled on the Mozilla side, since it has the 10.5 blocked page in existence as well. Should someone be notified that it's giving the wrong page to people?
The adobe update you linked to made it stop saying it's out of date, but what about the Java Development Toolkit? (As pictured in attached image #3). How should I go about getting that up to date?

  • My plugin for Adobe flash player on Fox states out of date -but Ive just installed latest 1 on my IE browser. Why doesnt Fox accept this & not keep asking me to update it?

Firefox can't accept that my laptop has now installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player - the plug-in states it is out-of-date & numbers the old one. Ive tried all ways to rectify this but nothing works... Fox still states that I have to update it...

Thank you for your interest. I'd been into the getadobe.com address & downloaded it successfully on IE. The problem had been that it hadnt altered the update on Firefox plug-in. I typed-in your link from Firefox, then it came-up on IE. So I went through the motions to download again & the tab stated it was going to be to IE. So I came out - opened-up Firefox again & got onto getadobe.com again, but on Firefox - downloaded it & it worked.... The plug-in check confirmed it'd updated to latest version.
So thank you, TonyE, if you hadnt responded, I wouldnt have realised that I'd to download whilst on the Firefox browser.

  • Can't run videos on Safari, only on Foxfire.  On Safairi I get a message that Adobe Flash is out of date, but I can't update-it won't take ID or PW.

I can't run videos using my Safari browser, only on Foxfire.  On Safari when I try to run a video, I get a message that says my Adobe flash player is out of date and to download new adobe flash.  However, when I try to run the Adobe Flash player installer, it won't take my Apple ID and PW.  I tried creating an Adobe PW and ID, but that doesn't work either.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

it should require the name & password for an admin account on your computer - not an 'apple id' or adobe one...
where are you downloading Flash from - here ?
What does Safari say in Help - Installed Plug-Ins for the Flash version ?

  • Problem I keep seeing messages Foxfire is out of Date BUT I have version 30.0

I go on to Facebook, it says Foxfire (version 30.0) is out of Date. I go to use Hulu or Crackle and again it says Foxfire is out of Date. I go to mozilla Support at the top, left side of the screen it says, "Your Foxfire is out of date and may contain a security risk".
While in Foxfire to check which version is on my Desktop PC by clicking on Help then scroll down to ABOUT Foxfire it says: 30.0 Foxfire IS up to date.
I do use Google Chrome however my TomTom GPS will NOT allow me to upload maps on Chrome but works fine with Foxfire.
Also a problem, Google's GMail will NOT allow me to open any of my E Mails on Foxfire. So am I using the latest version of Foxfire or not.
IF I am NOT using the latest of version of Foxfire please provide the link for the correct download.
Thanks in advance ~ CuriousVirg ~

'''I am not 100 % sure if this will fix the issue of Firefox "being out of date or insecure", but I will keep checking over the next few days since like I said my browser of choice is Google Chrome ~ thank you philipp.'' Oh and, the-edmeister problem being the link for Wikipedia was not very useful since I couldn't make heads or tails out of the article.. but I will be double checking using the term, general.useragent in the search bar!! I do appreciate the help! Thank you!

  • When I launch Firefox, Adobe Update says Reader is out of date, but it is not.

I don't even use the Adobe Reader plugin, since, on a Mac, it doesn't work anyway. I use Firefox PDF Plugin, instead. But, when I launch Firefox, Adobe Update launches and tells me that Adobe Reader is out of date. When I launch Adobe Reader and check for updates, it says that it's up to date. I wouldn't care if it just happened once, but it continues to happen, at least once a day. It's very annoying. How do I get it to stop, since it's wrong, anyway?
    Mac OS X 10.5.8
Firefox 3.6.13 (Adobe Reader plugin not installed)
    Firefox PDF Plugin 1.1.3
    Adobe Reader 10.0.1

There seems to be a SEVERE lack of information on this issue and evidently no one is doing anything about it.
The available info simply leads you in circles.
