CRM SALES Hardware Required.

Dear Friends:
My organization is in the process of implementation of CRM Sales 7.0 in Phase-I & eCommerce (Web-Channel) in Phase-II.
1. Can you please suggest me the HARDWARE Configuration required for both the applications . It is a MID -SIZE company.
2. Will there be different Dev & PRD Servers for Implementing CRM SALES, Marketing, Services, & Web Channel.
There will be MAX 20 Users on DEV Server & MAX 100-150 Users on PRD Server.
An early help will highly be apprciated.
| Regards | Pradeep |

Hi
Please find the answers below:-
1. Can you please suggest me the HARDWARE Configuration required for both the applications . It is a MID -SIZE company.
>> 1. CRM 7.0 Server
2. ECC Server (Version 6.0) and again not sure if you going to use it or already you have the same implemented in your organisation
3. TREX Server will be required if you going to use the WEB CHANNEL
4. JAVA Server will be required as JAVA will be extensively used in WEB CHANNEL.
5. Netweaver administrator need to be configured from WEB CHANNEL Perspective.
There are SAP Documents such as CR100 (General CRM) and CR800 for WEB CHANNEL requirements. These documents will highlight the server requirement.
The below link, though OLD enough, will give a fare idea about the architecture:
http://csc-studentweb.lr.edu/swp/SAPPM/CaseStudies/Chapter%2007%20--%20Engaging%20the%20SAP%20Solution%20Stack%20Vendors/mySAP%20CRM%20Architecture%20Guide,%20White%20Paper%20by%20Compaq.pdf
2. Will there be different Dev & PRD Servers for Implementing CRM SALES, Marketing, Services, & Web Channel.
>> Within one development server you can configure CRM Sales Marketing, Service and web channel scenarios. You obviously need to have a seperate server as your production server. Development server will be used to configure the scenarios, do a business specific development. Testing will be done on development server and then if everything is ok, these changes will be moved to production server
Hope this will help

  • Replication any bp of crm sales order as  reference bp in erp sales order

    Hi specialists in sap r3.
I was faced with the requirement not to replicate all bp of CRM. We want to in order for replication of any PD (CPM) was replaced by a reference bp (ERP).
Individuals do not need to be analyzed in ERP.
Is anybody know how to solve this issue? How to replace individual bp (CRM) to reference bp (ERP) during replication?
I'll be glad to any idea.
    Regards,
    Tatyana.

    Hi Sangameshwar,
In CRM you can have two scenarios for ERP Sales Order.
    1. ERP Sales offer and Sales order, using the CRM User Interface to create directly the ERP Sales Documents with LORD interface. The document is only saved in ERP. I believe this the scenario you are using.
    2. CRM Sales offer and Sales order, the document is saved both CRM and ERP. The documents are replicated via Middleware.
In both scenarios the interaction record should add the document in the doc. flow, it's probably a missing customizing in the interaction record.
    Hope this information help you.

  • Create complaint with reference to CRM sales order

    Hi,
We have the requirement to create a complaint as a follow-up to a CRM sales order.
We don't want to reference the invoice, but only the sales order. The sales order is available in CRM,
so I would expect that we can reference the CRM sales order when creating a complaint.
However, what I find is that we need to implement BAdI "CRM_COPY_BADI_EXTERN". Is that true? Do we need
    to implement this BAdI?
Is there a sample coding available?
    regards,
    Wim Olieman

Perhaps I should create a new thread, appears the standard complaint return CRMR allows me to create the return mulitple times against the same sales order number in CRM 7.0.
Our pricing flunctuates a bit, so we don't want the same order to be used over and over again in creating the return.
Is this the same behaivor you see?

  • Replicate custom fields from CRM sales order to R/3 sales order

    Hi Michael,
I have a requirement to replicate custom setype data created for CRM sales order to R/3 sales order. These fields have been created at item level.
Do you know the set of steps to achieve the same.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chamu

    Hi,
the CRM sales order cannot be extended using set types. Set types are a functionality that is limited to products.
You can however enhance the orders by using the easy enhancement workbench (ransaction EEWB). It will allow you to add specific fields to all levels of the sales document and will take care of ALL the objects that are necessary to update and maintain he fields (functions, screens, bdocs, bapi's,...)
Depending on you system, it will also generate the update modules for R/3 (don't bet on it). Otherwise you'll have to program the extraction and mapping of the new fields in R/3.
    Michael.

  • BDOC's to update the custom fields in R/3 from the CRM sales order

    Dear All,
    I need a small help.
    My requirement is as follows.
When ever a sales order is created in CRM, an outbound delivery will be automatically created in the R/3 system.
There are some fields in the CRM sales order which are not there in the R/3 system. So I have to create these fields in the LIKP and LIPS tables in R/3 which is not a problem.
But I have to copy these fields from CRM to the LIKP and LIPS tables in R/3 when ever a sales order is created and saved in CRM. (This should happen automatically)
So could anyone tell me whether there are any BDOC’s available to update the sales order info in the LIKP and LIPS tables and also any BADI which can be trigger for this purpose.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Shafath

    Hi,
Thanks a lot. You have given a good solution.
    But a small correction.
Sales Order is not transferred from CRM to R/3. The system is creating (automatically) a delivery in the r/3 system for the sales order created in CRM (Here we will not have the sales order in R/3), so we don’t have an entry in VBAK and VBAP tables.
When we create a sales order in CRM and save , the delivery in R/3 is created and the sales order is not transferred to R/3.
So while saving the sales order itself in CRM, I need to trigger a badi to update the LIKP and LIPS tables by calling a RFC (which needs to be developed in R/3).
So I need a badi which triggers when the sales order is saved and which tells whether the sales order is saved without errors or not (because delivery in R/3 is created for only those orders which are created and saved without errors in CRM)  and returns the sales order number.
It will be helpful if you can send some info on this.
Any how thanks a lot for your quick response.
    Regards
    Shafath

  • Is it  IPC mandatory for CRM Sales Order standalone (no webchannel)

    Hi Consultants,
Do we still require IPC for SAP CRM sales order (standalone) though we don't have in scope Web-channel and ECC integration ..?

    Hello David,
Yes, you will still need IPC to execute pricing on your sales order. This is true for any sales scenario in CRM.
The only scenario where you won't need IPC is working with ECC order in CRM via the LORD interface. However since you are running standalone this is not applicable probably.
What you may not need is the IPC configuration UI (which is a Java web app), in case you are not working with configurable products.
However, for pricing your orders you need the pricing engine = IPC.
    Best regards,
    Manuel

  • How to determine the hardware requirements based on the Services' payload

    hello,Guys
i am wondering if i can calculate the hardware requirements based on the services' payload ?
what factors should i consider when to determine the hardware requirements?
is there any documents related to my questions? ;)
    Thanks
    Regards
    Wen

Payload size is not the only factor while determining size of the system (h/w). You need to consider number of services, nature of services (sync/async), payload size, frequency of messages (load), peak load value, security constraints, performance requirements etc..
You may contact your local Oracle Sales Representative/ Oracle Support to get help in determining size of the system. They will provide you a sizing questionarre and on the basis of that they may suggest sizing as well (Oracle has an internal tool for proposing sizing)

  • CRM sales setup of target for employee(BP)

    Dear Friends,
Can anyone help how to set the target of an employee(employee assigned as Business Partner in Production Client) in CRM Sales. What are the configuration required? Any pre requisites steps needs to be performed?
    Regards,
    Sayan

    Hello Sayan,
You can define the target of the sales team by using quota planning (Pipeline performance management).
The sales manager and sales executive both should be assigned in organization structure.
On the position of sales manager head of organization unit should be ticked.and should be one node higher than sales executive.
Your organization structure should be like:
    Sales office/sales group
          Sales Manager (position)
                        Mr. X (employee)
             Sales executive (position)
                             Mr. Y (employee)
You can define the quota based on:
    Total sales volume
    Product sales volume
    Product category sales volume
    Product units
    Product category units
Sales manager should have the authorization also. You may find the more relevant information in sap help library.

  • SMS capabilities on Fusion CRM - Sales & Marketing cloud

Wanted to know if the Fusion CRM - Sales & Marketing cloud supported sending SMS to users out of the box...
If so, what kind of configuration effort does it require - just some basic SMPP settings or some heavy integration with SMS vendors ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nakul

    Nakul,
I can confirm that out of the box this is not supported and would require some Integration to be created for this. Internally we have just completed a proof of concept with Oracle on this. Oracle has confirmed that they are introducing SMS into Marketing but with the Eloqua purchase im not sure where this sits now.

  • Any case study on using ERP sales order vs CRM Sales order in IC WEB UI

    Hi All,
Currently we have a requirement where in agent uses ERP Sales order functionality in IC WEB UI for creating sales order. Incase of any incompleteness in order or any pricing error an activity should get created and should get assinged to Back office guy(CRM User).
My approach is as follows, we will call a custom FM in CRM from the user exit associated with Sales order transaction, This logic gets executed on save of ERP sales order. This custom FM will create an activity in CRM and assing it to back office guy. Other approach is to use the IDOC linked to the VAO1 transaction which inturns calls the custom fm.
Can you please suggest if you have any better approach to this.
Recently we came to know that ERP Sales order has got limited functionalities. If some one has a case study doc on ERP Sales order vs CRM sales order pls give me the ref link.
    Thanks,
    udaya

    Hi Udaya,
Calling a Customer Specific R/3 Transaciton was quite easy in CRM 4.0 / 5.0 in the PC-UI Framework using Object Links. You can do that all by customizing and creating a custom method for a BOR Object in Transaction SWO1.
I think I've used CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to update the Document Flow. The subsequent activities where created by BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI. I've wrapped all that standard functions in a RFC enabled function module.
It would be possible to provide also a link in the E-Mail to the Manager but the client is using a Citrix environment to provide access to the Portal. But Outlook runs locally. So we decided to use the standard Portal iView to display the Alerts. When you fill the Alert Container with the elements OBJKEY_GUID, OBJKEY_BOR_OBJECT_TYPE, OBJKEY_CRM_OBJECT_TYPE, OBJKEY_METHOD and OBJKEY_LOGICAL_SYSTEM using the Function Module SWC_ELEMENT_SET that provides a direct link to the specific document too.
    Best regards

    The requirement is as below:
<b> If IDoc contains requested delivery date at header level (E1EDK03  002  DATUM),  then map into CRM sales order header (CRMD_SALES - CRMT_REQ_DLV_DATE).</b>
    IDoc Basic type: ORDERS05

CRM Sales Order is being generated but Requested Delivery Date in Shipping Tab strip is not getting populated...

    Thanks,
    Kartikey Rawat.

    Hi
Did you map the contents of E1EDK03-DATUM to CRMD_SALES - CRMT_REQ_DLV_DATE?
Did you see whether it is populating properly in the target field during debugging?

  • Are Aperture's stringent hardware requirements: a poor management decision?

I'm very surprised at the management decision to put a hard software block on even relatively new systems. I understand that optimal performance is a combination of processor, speed, RAM & graphics; however, it appears that Apple has chosen a much narrower set of requirements than need be. There are many claims on the web of folks getting Aperture to work acceptably well on unsupported hardware.
Politically and business-wise, it would have made much more sense to issue a "warning" to the user during the install that there system did not meet the minimum hardware requirements and they would not be eligible for technical support. This would increase the initial sales base, but not put an undue burden on technical support.
Perhaps, Apple is trying to push users to upgrade to newer hardware. However, I'm afraid they'll just push folks to find alternative software / hardware. This is something I would expect from Microsoft, not Apple.
The stringent hardware requirements block was a bad project management decision and one that I hope Apple reconsiders.
Am I the only one feeling this way?
    dual G4 FW800 & dual G5 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Look at FCP,
doesn't use any core image or core video
    functionally
uses BASIC AGP to do the full screen video function
    And it works.
    motion,
yes Motion uses Core Video mainly and limited Core
Image and if you have seen it run on a 5200 or a 9600
    it is dog slow
    my DP 1.25 G4 with a 9800 SMOKES a DP 2 G5 with a
5200 or 9600 wih functions that the GPU uses
I titled a dvd project with it a year ago using my 1Ghz, 1.25Gbyte, powerbook 12". It worked. In fact, I produced the entire dvd using FCP, motion, livetype, and dvd studio pro on that powerbook. It wasn't blazing fast, but it was possible.
look at any of the analogue synth emulators or real
    time sound processors.
what does Core Audio have to do with the GPU?
That's rather the point. I want my computer to be a general purpose machine. I don't want to have to pay $5k for an aperture horse and another $5k for an FCP horse and another $5k for another computer to run motion and another $5k to run iWork. I want my software to run on one, general purpose computer. If apple's going to require me to buy specialized, potentially incompatible hardware for each application, I'll find another vendor.
A software architecture that exploits an available gpu is fine, great, even. But a software architecture that requires a specific piece of hardware, (which may easily be incompatible with another software's hardware requirements), is a gross mistake, imo.
The frustrating part is that the horsepower we need already exists. But it's not being exploited.

  • Oracle AS MapViewer hardware requirement.

My company wants to use Oracle Application Server MapViewer in a Middle Tier machine.
I need to know what the minimum hardware requirement to install this software.
    Anyone could help me?

Best ask this question over in the DATABASE forum; there is a lot of prior art available for sizing servers, such as the load simulators already mentioned.
You could also ask your Oracle sales representative for help on this, they do it all day long :)
