CRS XI R2 Service Pack 5 Incremental Patch

Hi,
I'm looking for the incremental Service Pack 5 download for Crystal Reports Server XI R2 for Windows.  On the SAP download site, there are two listings for Service Pack 5.  Which one is the incremental patch?
Below is the site (I go to SAP Software Distribution Center, then Archive for Support Pakages and Patches and search for CRS XI R2:
https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/bosap-downloads
Below are the 2 Service Pack 5 downloads that I see listed on the site, can anyone please tell me which one is the install for the incremental Service Pack 5 (I currently have CRS XI R2 SP2 running on my production server)?
1. Crystal Reports Server XI R2 Service Pack 5
2. Crystal Reports Server XI Relase 2 SP5 - Windows
Thanks,
Kim

Both links refer to the same file. So it does not matter which of those you download.

  • CRS XI R2 Service Pack 1

    Hi,
I'm trying to install the incremental Service Pack 2 for Crystal Reports Server XI R2 running on Windows Server 2003.  Right now I just have the base version of Crystal Reports Server XI R2 installed from CD without any hotfixes or service packs.  Do I need to download and install Service Pack 1 before I can install the incremental Service Pack 2?  If so, where can I find Service Pack 1?  I don't see it on the SAP download site.
Previously, I tried just downloading the CRS XI R2 Service Pack 2 full build from the SAP site, but I get a message saying that Service Pack 1 needs to be installed.  I thought that the Full build would install Crystal Reports Server itself with Service Pack 2 inbuilt.
    Thanks,
    Kim

You have to download the full SP2 version and do a new installation (either on a new machine or on the existing one after you uninstall the version that is already installed)

    Hi Sudheer,
On a Windows Operating Systems you can check the “Programs and Features” in control panel. You can see a list of both the Name and Version number of SAP BusinessObjects that is installed.
    option 2:
Open CMC go to Settings. In the properties, you will find the Product Version.

  • Difference between service pack and Patch in XI

What is the difference between Service Pack(SP) AND Patch ??
    e.g SP12, Patch8.
Is it like that when there is a major change they will issue SP and
for a small change they will issue patch ?? or after number of patches
they will issue SP combining all the patches ??
Service Pack level can be seen from SAP gui system..>status.
But Patch level where can we see ?? what is the Tcode for that ?? or just we got
to go through below links ??
    http://<host>:<j2ee_http_port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo
    also
http://<host>:<j2ee_http_port>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo for core system info (J2EE or JVM patch level, etc.)

    Hello,
A service pack (in short SP) is a collection of updates, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single installable package. Service packs are usually numbered, and thus shortly referred to as SP1, SP2, etc. It is notable that they may bring, besides bug fixes, entirely new features
A patch (sometimes called a "fix") is a quick-repair job for a piece of programming. During a software product's beta test distribution or try-out period and later after the product is formally released, problems (called bug) will almost invariably be found. A patch is the immediate solution that is provided to users; it can sometimes be downloaded from the software maker's Web site. The patch is not necessarily the best solution for the problem and the product developers often find a better solution to provide when they package the product for its next release.

  • Where to find the latest Service Packs and Patches

AccAD service packs can be downloaded from SAP Service Market Place (SMP), under 'Comprised Software Component Versions'
The process for downloading the package is described below:
    1. Go to SAP Support Portal - [https://service.sap.com/swdc]
    2. Under Find your Software, see the 2nd bullet titled A-Z Index, and click on the link to Support Packages and Patches
    3. Click on the letter A
    4. Click on ACCEL. AD FOR SAP NETWEAVER
    5. Click on AAD 2.2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER
    6. Click on Comprised Software Component Versions
    7. Click on AAD APPL DELIVERY ENGINE 2.2
    8. Click on the OS version that matches your AccAD landscape
    9. Scroll down to the window and find the Downloads window.
    10. Look for the latest version by scrolling down further (internal scrollbar) and pay attention to the Last Changed date column.
    11. Click on the link to the TGZ package which will start the download
    Zeev

    Hi Stephan,
I wanted to add onto Zeev's precise answer.
First of all we appreciate your feedback, we will look into why the above mentioned links are not updated as expected.
Regretfully our SDN page is a bit outdated and we are in the midst of updating it.
Currently, AccAD 2.2 SP4 as available for download and has already been adopted by some of the main SAP customers and in addition by new customers.
The release notes indicating the differences can be found as part of the installations but I hope to provide the 2.2 SP4 notes later this week - in a formal SDN announcement.
Further more as for additional updates:
    - AccAD 2.3 is currently undergoing validation phase and is expected to enter Ramp Up phase in October of 2011.
    - AccAD 2.3 as with every version brings with it new capabilities and increased performance and quality as well as a more up-to-date PAM.
    - We are currently in the planning phase of the next AccAD version to begin development very soon and would be very happy to hear the feedback that you or any other of our customer base may have.  To do so, I encourage you to contact me directly - as i cannot post an email address here - my details can be found in my business card found in this forum.
    - We will be attending and presenting at SAP TechEd Las Vegas and TechEd Sapphire Madrid - we would be happy to meet up in case you will be present.
    All the Best,
    Smadar

SSRS 2008 R2 is extremely slow.  The query runs in less than a second in the dataset designer but if you try to view the report it takes over 10 minutes.  I have read this is a bug in SSRS 2008 R2.  We installed the most recent patches and
service packs.  Nothing we've done so far has fixed it and I see that I'm not the only person with this problem.  However I don't see any answers either.

    Hi Kim Sharp,
According to your description that when you view the report it is extremely slow in SSRS 2008 R2 but it is very fast when execute the query in dataset designer, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can‘t reproduce the issue. Obviously, it is the performance issue, rendering performance can be affected by a combination of factors that include hardware, number of concurrent users accessing reports, the amount
of data in a report, design of the report, and output format. If you have parameters in your report which contains many values in the list, the bad performance as you mentioned is an known issue on 2008 R2 and already have the hotfix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2276203
Any issue after applying the update, I recommend you that submit a feedback at https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/
If you don’t have, you can do some action to improve the performance when designing the report. Because how you create and update reports affects how fast the report renders.
Actually, the Report Server ExecutionLog2  view contains reports performance data. You could make use of below query to see where the report processing time is being spent:
After you determine whether the delay time is in data retrieval, report processing, or report rendering:
    use ReportServer
    SELECT TOP 10 ReportPath,parameters,
TimeDataRetrieval + TimeProcessing + TimeRendering as [total time],
    TimeDataRetrieval, TimeProcessing, TimeRendering,
    ByteCount, [RowCount],Source, AdditionalInfo
    FROM ExecutionLog2
    ORDER BY Timestart DESC
Use below methods to help troubleshoot issues according to the above query result :

  • Service Pack 2 for CRS XI R2

    Hi,
On the SAP download page, there are 2 types of Service Pack 2 downloads for Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2:  Full Windows and Incremental Windows.  What is the difference between the two?
    Thanks,
    Kim

    Hi Adam,
Is the following what the Full Windows version installs:
    1. Crystal Reports Server XI R2
    2. Service Pack 1
    3. Service Pack 2
I was not sure if the machine that I apply this to needed to have Crystal Reports Server already installed or not.
    Thanks,

  • Patch - Service Pack

    Hi,
I would like to get suggestions from the XI Technical Consultants regarding the Patching of Service Packs for the XI system based on their past experience.
Think of a landscape wherein the XI installation (PI 7.0) is done and the default SP level is 6. To keep the system up-to-date with the latest patch SP11 or 12, how long would it take to patch from SP06 to SP11.
Thanks in advance and prompt replies are appreciate with points.
    Praveen

    Hello Praveen,
If the SPAM is up to date it should take around 3 to 4 hours for all components SP like ABAP, Basis and PI component SPs.
    Hope this helps.
Kindly update your SPAM to latest one. Then start applying SPs some basis or ABAP SPs may request you for latest SPAM updates during your support pack activity so.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vivek

  • Patch-Level/Service Pack

    Hi
    I’m developing an add-on for Sap-Business one 2005.
Is there a way to find out the current Patch-Level and Service Pack?
I need to know that for checking if the right version of SAP is installed. If not I don’t want to load the Add-On.
Database-Version is not enough for that because it can be that the UI changed (in a Patch-Level or a Service Pack) without changes in the Database.
My Add-on will use UI functions and Item Positions for linking my own items in SAP System Forms.
    Regards
    Manuel

    Hi Grenacher Manuel
You can use "oCompany.Version" to retrieve the databadse version. You can also look in CINF of your database, that is the version of your company database. Then to check your SBO Common version you look in SINF in SBO Common. This is in case you did a patch upgrade and didn't upgrade the company db.
I do not think there is a table with the SP and patch level. I think sap retrieves the version and from there they determine the SP and PL.
    Hope this helps

  • What correct Service Pack and Fix Patch upgrade path?

I have installed Xcelsius 2008 Engage. I have version 5.0.0.99  build 12,0,0,121. I am assuming this is the base installation.
There have been a number of packs and patches released. I need to if I have comprehended.  Is sequence below correct:
    1. Crystal Xcelsius 2008 u2013 Service Pack 1
    2. Xcelsius 2008 SP1 Fix Pack 1
    3. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1 u2013 Fix Pack 2
    4. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1 u2013 Fix Pack 3
    5. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 2
    6. Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP2 Fix Pack 2.1
    Other consideration:
I have heard much discussion about Xcelsius.msi. Is this file in (1) above and does (2) above require it to be available.
    I am using Windows 7.0
Any other suggestion to avoid a painful process

    Hi,
I'll answer some of your questions:
You can just install the base version and then SP2 + FP 2.1. No need to install SP1 and the related fix packs.
.msi is just an installer file - once you've installed Xcelsius this will not be used anymore.
I'm not sure that Xcelsius is supported on Windows 7.
    Best regards,
    Jacob

  • How to quickly recover from the broken Exchange Server VM due to Windows Update patch or Service Pack ?

    Folks,
I'm planning to apply the Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 and also applying the Cumulative Update 7 along with Windows Update which haven't been done since the past two years (~100+ patches).
So in this case it I cannot afford to lose any of the Exchange Server due to the bad updates or broken server due to patches. At The moment all of the VMs currently running on VMware:
    HT/CAS role Windows NLB:
    PRODMAIL01-VM
    PRODMAIL02-VM
    Mailbox Server stand-alone non-DAG:
    PRODMBX01-VM
    PRODMBX02-VM
    Domain Controllers:
    PRODDC01
    PRODDC02
    My questions are:
    1. When taking the VMware snapshot for easy roll-back, do I have to take the entire 2 sets of the domain controller as well?
    2. Assuming I have done the Schema Update successfully and moving on to apply the SP3 to the HT/CAS server role, do I have to take both of the mailbox server VMs snapshot as well?
    3. Can I disconnect the virtual NIC inside the guest OS to safely take snapshot before applying the patches or service pack ? or do I have to let the network to be always connected during the Service Pack or CU patch process ?
Any kind of suggestion for a better way to quickly roll back broken Exchange server due to patching would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Some hypervisors include features for taking snapshots of virtual machines. Virtual machine snapshots capture the state of a virtual machine while it's running. This feature enables you to take multiple snapshots of a virtual machine and then revert the
virtual machine to any of the previous states by applying a snapshot to the virtual machine. However, virtual machine snapshots aren't application aware, and using them can have unintended and unexpected consequences for a server application that maintains
state data, such as Exchange. As a result, making virtual machine snapshots of an Exchange guest virtual machine isn't supported.
The only supported way to recover a lost Server is gracefully through Setup either Add/Remove programs or recoverserver option
