Crystal Report 11, List of Runtime DLLs, Runtime.hlp File

I am using Crystal Report 11 with my Delphi 7 application.
I need the list of runtime dlls which I will need to distribute with my application.
The Help file which comes with the Delphi 7 VCL Component (UCRPE32.hlp) says :
QUOTE
check RUNTIME.HLP in the Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Developer Files\Help folder
and make sure you have all the files.
UNQUOTE
  I could not find the RUNTIME.HLP file in any folder/subfolders on the machine  where Crystal Report 11 has been installed.
   Can somebody tell me where I can find RUNTIME.HLP file or the list of runtime DLLs which is required to be distributed
along with my application(which is written in Delphi 7).
    Thanks in advance

Hello Ramesh,
Business Objects does not support manual deployment of their runtime files.  This started with the release of CR XI (v11.0).  Please see [Business Objects Note 1218571|https://bcp.wdf.sap.corp/sap/sapnotes/display/0001218571] - How to distribute the Report Designer Component (RDC) in Crystal Reports XI for more information.
You may also want to review the RDC deployment article - [Creating an RDC Distribution Package|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/901c0761-cf1d-2b10-dea4-8e83937a9337] - that can be found on the SAP web site as well.
The RDC merge modules do not include the CRPE32.dll.  Since you're using the VCL you'll probably have to add that file manually to your deployment package.
The merge module links in these articles have probably changed.  Go to the [Business Objects Support Software Download|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm] page to find the RDC merge modules.
Change the Selection Criteria to this:
Software Product: Crystal Reports
Product Version: XI, XI Release 1, or XI Release 2 (depending on your version of Crystal Reports)
Software Type: Utility
You should also be aware of the fact that the VCL is not being updated any longer.  I think the XI (v11.0) version is the last one that will be available.  Additionally, the Report Designer Component (RDC) has been retired with the release of CR 2008.  Going forward you'll have to migrate to .NET SDK or the Crystal Report Java SDK.
I hope this helps,
Sincerely,
Dan Kelleher

  • RIDICULOUS Crystal Reports Server XI R2 SP4 - Installing - missing cab file

    Unsympathetic SAP rep Don Williams wrote in a now closed thread,
    Subject: Re: Crystal Reports Server XI R2 SP4 - Installing - missing cab file : m293.cab
    Message: Hi All,
    There is no incremental SP4 service pack for Crystal Reports Server XI R2 and no plans to build one.
    Your ONLY option is to back up your CMS and Data store, un-install and then install from the FTP link.
    The downloadable file from the support site is broken and they are working on fixing it and it is/will be the full build also.
    Closing this post now.
    Thank you for your understanding
    Don
    Frankly, this is outrageous.  This issue has been open for close to 5 months.  Rather than simply updating the SP4 incremental update with the correct files, SAP's brilliant response is to tell us that the file is STILL broken, but ***** you, whenever we fix it it will be the full build only.  Well, thanks!  That makes it so much easier.  Rather than looking at Crystal Reports 2008, maybe it's time to suck it up and look elsewhere,
    Here's hoping SAP decides to do the right thing.  I'm sure everyone on the original thread would be interested.

    Hi Falk,
       Yes, I am downloading it from a Win2003 machine. The browser is IE7.
       I can even see what's inside the m293.cab, and it is not the file mentioned on the error message...
       This is the m293.cab content (one file):
       tslv.dll.7ADA0B91_68E0_4E90_AD3D_23C9E3079BAB
       The file doesn't seem to be corrupted, it just doesnt have what was expected by the installer software.
       I tried downloading it again and had the same result... These are the installation files that I've already tried with the same result:
        - crsxir2win_sp4.exe (from [https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009887052008E/crsxir2win_sp4.exe])

       The next one was not the rigth package:
         - boXIwin_sp2.zip (from [https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012002523100005931922008E/boXIwin_sp2.zip])
       I uploaded the servicepack4 part of the log where the error appears:

  • Crystal reports asking for login information at runtime

    BH
    Hi,
    I've installed the Crystal Reports for VS2010 (filename: CRforVS_13_0_9).  I've created a new "Crytal Reports Application" Project and I've added dataset which is connected to Access 2010 database. When I create a new report I use the "Project Data > Ado.Net Datasets > CrystalReportsApplication8 > Ledger" as my connection. I connect the report to the CrystalReportViewer in Form1.
    However, when I run the application, I get prompted for a Username and Password. Even though I type in the correct user name and password, it does not let me login and view the report.  I've been struggling for a few days with this.  What am I doing wrong?  I do not want the application to prompt for a username and password, because I've already entered the credentials in the application.  I've searched on the web for a solution, but with no success.  Please help.  I'm using C#.
    Thanks
    Aron

  • Crystal Report  not listed Add New Item for Visual Studio 2010

    I just finished installing cryestal report for visual studio 2010.
    During the installation a visual studio error dialog popped up "Operation cannot be completed. Access Denied", the crystal report installation continued and was informed that the installation was successful.
    But on opening my visual studio project to add new item,  crystal report item is not listed there.
    Is there anything that needs to be done to get it listed in the Add New Item dialog for visual studio?

    I wonder what file you ran to install CRVS2010? Was it the MSI as opposed to the actual install file?
    The link to the correct install is here:
    http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_13_0_2.exe
    Is that the file you ran to install CRVS2010? E.g. as opposed to:

  • Crystal Report Pick List - "Table ADM1 could not be found" Error

    Hi,
    When preview is select in sales order, we select pick list gets error.
    Crystal Report Window Forms Viewer:
    "Table ADM1 could not be found"
    Error in File Temp {   .........} .rpt
    The table could not be found"
    If I login remotely , then log into SAP as this user I do not get an error.
    I have given user full authorisation.
    I have run Verify Database.
    I am assuming it is some database or network user access rights.
    Could anyone help on this?
    Kind Regards,
    Eric

    Report was developed and tested against a 'test' database and then imported into a 'production' database.
    Problem appears to be that when B1 connects it does not reset the login credentials for the unlinked tables such as ADM1 and OADM.
    Performing the following steps appears to solve the problem.  Not sure how many of them are really necessary.
    1. Develop and test against the test system as before.
    2. Save as a .rpt file outside B1.
    3. 'Set Datasource Location' to the appropriate B1 datasource for the production database and individually link every table as well as the data source.
    4. Save the .rpt file again.
    5. Import into the production database.
    This does not specifically address the issue where it worked when logged in to the server but not remotely.  Perhaps when logged in remotely the test database was not visible but when logged in locally it was.

  • Crystal report - Object list binding

    Anyone can show me how to bind the object list into crystal report?
    I am using the Visual Studio 2010 with CR. I cannot create a temporary dataset in the project.
        public class Invoice
           public string Name { get; set; }
           public DateTime CreatedDate { get; set; }
           public List<LineItem> LineItems { get; set; }
           public Invoice() { ... }
        public class LineItem
           public string Name { get; set; }
           public decimal Amount { get; set; }

    Sorry, looking at this again I realize I made a mistake.
    I thought this was a Crystal Report as a  webservice as opposed to  a webservice using CR APIs.
    Try setting Table.Location in your code.
    Alternatively try DatasourceConnections off of the reportdocument object.

  • Crystal Reports Developer 11 - image quality in exported pdf file

    I need to create a report with many images and export it to a pdf file. The image quality in the pdf file is slightly lower than in the rpt file. Can someone tell me how to increase the image quality in pdf file?
    Thanks,

    This document explains how to increase the image resolution when exporting:

  • Crystal Reports - Switch between multiple databases at runtime (esp. DB2)

    Hi,
    we are currently developing a reporting application in .NET (C#) with an integrated Crystal Viewer. We want to be able to change the databse dynamically at runtime, especially between different DBMS.
    We encountered no problems when switching between a SQL Server and an Oracle DB, but we ran into big trouble if trying to connect to a DB2 db.
    In the report itself we have a SQL Server connection defined that is used during the design phase.
    In our application we change the connection at runtime using the following code:
    CrystalReportViewer viewer = new CrystalReportViewer();
    ReportDocument document = new ReportDocument();
    document.Load("<<path>>");
    Tables tables = document.Database.Tables;
    foreach (Table t in tables)
        ConnectionInfo info = new ConnectionInfo();
        info.UserID = "<UserId>";
        info.Password = "<Password>";
        info.ServerName = "<DSN of DB2 DB>";
        info.DatabaseName = "<DB2 DB Alias>";
        TableLogOnInfo tableInfo = t.LogOnInfo;
        tableInfo.ConnectionInfo = info;
        t.ApplyLogOnInfo(tableInfo);
    // ... Setting parameter values ...
    viewer.ReportSource = document;
    We also tried to add the following lines of code after the "ApplyLogOnInfo" call without any success:
    t.LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.UserID = "<UserId>";
    t.LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.Password = "<Password>";
    t.LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.ServerName = "<DSN of DB2 DB>";
    t.LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = "<DB2 DB Alias>";
    Especially we are wondering because we don't get any error message. The Crystal Viewer just opens and shows an empty report without any data records. The TestConnectivity method called on each table (we are only using one table at the moment) also returns true.
    Furthermore it seems that whenever we call ApplyLogOnInfo, the UserID, password, server name and database name is resetted to the values defined in the data connection within the report (SQL Server, used in the desing phase as mentioned above).
    Any ideas, what we are doing wrong?
    Kind regards,
    Markus

    Hi Markus
    OK. Make sure you have the latest updates. First apply SP 2:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe
    Than FP 2.4:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100001024152010E/cr2008_fp24.zip
    Next, open the report in the CR designer and enable the "Verify on first refresh" option (File | report Options)
    If that does not help, export the report to rpt file format and try to view the exported report in the CR designer. What do you see?

    Install .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 and then any patches Windows has for them.
    Install the C++ runtime distribution from Microsoft, search MS's site for it, they have multiple links for each OS.
    Download the latest Microsoft installer, you can go to MS's web site to get it.
    Check with your IT department to make sure they have not pushed out a "modified" administrator Profile to your PC. Open up regedit.exe and confirm you can change any key in Current User and Software and anything. Be sure to copy the original so you can right the value back and the usual warnings about modifying the registry.
    Download CR 2008 SP1 full build: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006555792009E/cr2008win_sp1.exe ( requires and un-install of existing CR 2008 if any are on your PC )
    Before running CR 2008 Install SP 3: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100007123572010E/cr2008_sp3.exe
    You could also try Disabling DEP, right click on My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab and Data Execution Prevention and make sure it's set to windows Processes only. Requires a re-boot if changed.
    Disable any and all anti-virus and local firewalls, copy everything local and disconnect your network cable so you don't get anything nasty and try again.
    If none of the above works then try someone elses computer, your system may be beyond repairing and could require an FDISK and starting all over.
    Thank you

  • COM dlls in the Standard and Professional Editions of Crystal Reports

    Hi.
    Do the Standard and Professional editions of Crystal reports install all the com dlls?
    thanks

    Hi,
    The crystal reports trainign for SAP Business One is designed for partners and customers and provided for free to them.
    It's not available to non-customers. You will need to have a login to the partner or customer portal to use it.
    Alternatively you can use the regular Crystal Reports training resources or available books to get yourself skilled for Crystal Reports. Being able to work with Crystal Reports is 90% of the work where as the SAP Business One specific's are in the area of ....
    - Release 8.8: the datasource connections; working with variables in the report; intergration and distribution of reports
    - Release 2007: linking the reports into the SAP Business One menu and making them secured available to the end users.
    Best regards,

  • Memory Leaks in CRPE32.dll of Crystal report 8.5

    Post Author: Pugalendran P
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hi,
    On calling the PEOpenPrintEngine() API function of the Crystal report 8.5, the CRPE32.dll leaks memory of 2-3 kb. After printing 10000 reports approximately on a Server, the memory of the server was fully consumed and throws an exception stating "Unable to get current formula '' contents, Not enough memory for operation.".
    There are also other errors stating like "not enough memory for operation".
    Is there any resolution / hotfix / patch available to resolve this problem?
    If resolution / hotfix / patch is not available in Crystal report 8.5, will upgrading to Crystal Reports XI resolve this problem?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi all, Memory leaks are not usually an issue with CR and any that were reported have been plugged in 8.5. Most, using third party tools, are linked to some core MS dll's, printer drivers etc.
    And more commonly due to not releasing the report object, database connections, Printer DEVMODE's structure and other memory allocations you may have created in your application and not cleaned up when the report object is closed and disposed of.
    As for the life cycle this has been posted on our support site for quite a few years now, with the new Support site this link is not currently available but Google does have a cached copy of this from this link:

    Hi,
    If you have any issues with Crystal reports .Net SDK's then please post your questions in [Crystal Reports .NET SDK forum|SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio;.
    That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all .NET SDK queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
    Thank you for your understanding,
    In order to run the reports on the server where Crystal Reports is not installed, you need to install the runtimes of the Crystal Reports on the server.
    Runtimes of Crystal Reports contains all the requiered dlls of CR to run the reports where CR in not installed.
    Link to download CR runtimes - click [here|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm]
    The Wiki [here|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsforVisualStudio.NETRuntimeDistribution-Versions9.1to12.0] is currently the best resource for CR.NET Runtime information.
    Hope this will help!!

  • Crystal Report Print Engine API calls  from Powerbuilder

    I am using Crystal Report XI R2 with Powerbuilder 9.0. I  am using Crystal Report API calls using crpe32.dll to display my reports. When i run my reports from my development machine where Crystal Reports is installed the reports run properly, but when i deploy my application on a server where Crystal Reports is not installed the report gives me error "Report has not been opened" , Error 599.
    The database logon info is properly set in the RPT file.
    I want to know whether it is possible to run reports without installing Crystal Reports and how do you do it?

    Somehow, you will have to install the CR runtime...
    Probably the best way will be to create a deployment project using a utility such as InstallShield,  Wise, MS Visual Installer, etc. Use the RDC merge modules and  add the crpe32.dll to the deployment project, ensuring the crpe32.dll is installed into the ...\3.5\bin directory. The Correct msm files are here:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009381702008E/crxir2sp4_rdc_mm.zip
    BTW., using the print engine APIs... Not something recommended, nor supported. Last header files for the crpe APIs shipped in version 9...

    Hello. I'm importing MXF files from a Canon XF300. It breaks long clips into 2gb chunks, and when they're imported into AE it treats it as one file. I'd like to be able to, say, import the fourth segment by itself without the clip spanning. No matter
