Crystal report not able to see a SQL view in Business One

Hi all
I am trying to create a report using views I have created in the Business One database.
I can run the report fine when using the Crystal Designer, but when I try to Preview the external Crystal report file from within Business One, it comes up with an error 'The table 'xxxx' can not be found'.
I have tried to make the connect an SAP Business One connection, and also tried it with the OLEDB connection. Neither worked.
(I can however preview other 'table' reports fine)
I am running SAP B1 8.8 SP 0 pl 15 and SQL2005.
As views are allowable in B1 databases I would hope that we can use them in our Crystal reports. Can we use views?
Or is it my setup/Crystal setup that is causing me issues.

Thank you both for your replies.
Gordon - great idea to use the Command mechanism. I had not thought of that but will give that a try.
Kevin - pleased to hear views are allowed as I often use them in my reports.
I think I have a more basic issue with my setup of Crystal & B1 on the system - and perhaps this is causing my inability to use views.
My current approach is to install Crystal Designer on the server. I know that it is preferable to put the designer elsewhere but I am not able to connect using SAP Business One connection at all from the client machines. Frustration! (Keeps saying Logon failed and I KNOW I have the correct logon details)
Will update this thread once I have set up the designer on the server and hopefully succeeded in including a view (or command) in a report.

Not able to get Form 16 A (SAP Business One 8.8 Version)

Hi all,
I am not able to get Form 16 A, after giving necessary information in Form 16 A Selection criteria screen (after posting Outgoing payment for vendor and Govt authority), then system opens another window u201CForm 16 A reportu201D and clicked u201Cgenerate certificate nou201D , but not able to view form 16A.
system is throwing a message "No certificate number marked to any invoice included in this form",
where to mark the certificate number in the invioice?
In BP master under accounting , tax subtab, for Subject to withholding tas there we have a feild for certificate no, update this feild also the same system mesaage is popping up
Is there any other process to view?
Am working on SAP Business One 8.8 (8.80.229) SP: 00 PL: 10
Can anyone help how to get Form 16 A

Hello Dear,
After posting outgoing payment and payment of TDS on TDS account,Update the challan entries.
You can get the update challan entries form under Financial --CXS-TDS.
After that open the Form 16 A form you will get the report.

XML Publisher Report - Not able to see image stored on External server

Hi
I need to put image on XML report that is on different instance for that i had put a dummy image on XML template and in the WEB TAB for that image i put the tag like url:{ATTRIBUTE3} and attribute3 is having correct value we are also showing it on the report , but at the run time i can only see the dummy image of the template and the URL, not the actual image , URL points to a image on different server we can see the image when we place that URL in Web browser.
Please help me , Thx in advance.

I could not able to see bi pulisher reports in dashboar

hi gurus(bi publisher)
since one month i have been facing problem with bi publisher reports
We have created flex chats using bi publisher and we have placed all the chats in dashboard,
when we were maintaining users and groups in RPD Administrator and all user were able to see the flex chats,
for that we have created XMLP_ADMIN group in RPD and we assign the uses to that group,Now we are using external tables for user and groups and
in the table i have created XMLP_ADMIN group in admin and i have assign user to that group
now the problem is ,administrator is able to see the flex chat reports but all other user r not able to see the bi publisher reprots
i was getting an error like access is denied please contact to bi publisher Administrator,such error i am getting
i did all the changes in security configuration ,i set security model as bi_server and i have given everything
even though users can not able to see the chats
is there any one using bi-publisher reports in dashboard with external table authentication? please
help me out form this problem

BI Publisher: not able to see the xml data after creating a data model

I am learning BI publisher and trying to create a report data model
I created a new data model from the report tab, use query builder, able to see the results. Then i save it and try to launch XML view from clicking View .
I am getting unexpected exception, not able to see the XML view .
in the server console i got servlet exception, here is one of the line

I tried putting your code and onserver side i see it is returning 09:12:17,234 INFO [STDOUT] [root: null]
actually the same program i wrote in java
and the same method i was calling from the main
and it is working fine and the xml document is getting displayed one important thing to be noted here is that the factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename));is returing XmlDocument
and the printing takes place
but the in same method public static Document parseXMLFile(String filename, boolean b) in servlet
the line factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename)); is returning DeferredDocumentImpl
and this creating problem , had it returned XmlDocument
i would have printed the elements one one
but as it is returning deferredimpl
iam unable to print the elements
could you please tell me why factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename)); is returning DeferredDocumentImpl
in servlets but in plain java pogram it is returing XmlDocument

Not able to see the crystal reports XI version in the IE 7 and IE 8

Hi Team,
I am using web based application developed in VB,ASP,SQL SERVER,Crystal Reports(XI). I am able to see the Crystal Reports in IE 6. But i am not able to see the reports in IE 7 and IE 8. While clicking on the reports button it is showing the red X image top left cornor.
I am using CrystalActiveX viewer11 version for viewing the reports.
In IE 6,if the client using fiirst time for vieiwing the reports,it will ask the Activexviewer control prompt and says ok,it will display the reports.

Thanks your advise.But we are using following crystal reports (XI) version and we don't have CRXI with R1 and R2.
CurrentVersion:11.0.0.895 ( CR Developer and Product Type:Full)
Crystal Reportviewer11 configured in the IIS which is version (5.0). and configured the virtual folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\crystalreportviewers11\.
Our web application code also configured in the IIS at same level.
When the user wants to see the reports through the application,it will ask the Plugin of Crystal Report Viewer and user will download this plugin and it will save in the IE plug ins.It will ask only first time viewing the reports for the next onwards it will not ask or prompt of the Activex control.
So please suggest me, is there any upgrade version of this Crystal Reportviewer11 needs to be installed or any browser setting need to be configured for IE 7 and IE 8.

I developed CR report using CR 2008, and integrated it with .Net 2.0, Its working fine in all the environments that we have except one environment. I'm not able to See the preview of Crystal report in that Environment but able to export the report to PDF format.
Details Of the Error is mentioned bellow:
My Application is working fine in In-Proc session, here we can see the preview, export to PDf format.
But when we are trying to See the report in Production Environment u2013 WebFarm (NT Cluster+SQL Cluster) which run in SQLSession. i'm not able to see the preview option. It looks like you might be attempting to serialize the ReportDocument and store it in Session on a StateServer or SQLServer. The ReportDocument is NOT serializable. You can only put it in Session if the <sessionState> is InProc.

Not Able to see SAP systems in List of Available SAP Systems for Crystal R

We have installed Crystal reports 2008 and SAP integration KIt client software on my machine. I am trying to create Crystal reports based on the BI query and I could see SAP Connections in the 'Create new connections list' but not able to see any SAP systems in the list of 'Available SAP Systems'.
How to Add SAP systems to this list.

1. Define an environment variable (user or system) with the name SAPLOGON_INI_FILE . This variable should contain the path to your saplogon.ini file including the file name eg. if the saplogon.ini resides in the folder c:\windows the variable should contain the following value c:\windows\saplogon.ini
2. Open your saplogon.ini file using Notepad and go to File->Save as. Choose All Files in the field Save as type and DO NOT change the name of the file. In the field Encoding make sure that UTF-8 is selected.

Crystla Report Samples not able to see in infoview

Hi All,
I have install the BOE XI 3.0 on one system. i am not able to see the crystal report in infoview means when i clicked on any sample report or any zreports developed by me but i can not see the data . though i transfered it into PDF and then i can see it from infoview in PDF format, while i also want to see it in crystal report format also.
My webi reports and dashboard can see from infoview but crystal report can't be able to see.

In IR I created all DT,MT,MM,MI but when I want to activate it in changelist I am able to see my fields.
1. Make sure you have saved the objects.
2. Go to changelist tab -> Under user select your username and check if you can see anything.

Report exection problem for one user - not able to see the data.

Need some help . I have got the one ticket from bussniess side about the report execution .
Unfortunately , I am also not having authorisation of that report due to sensible data.
Problem - User is executing the report but some how he is not ABLE TO see the data for one company code Hierachy .
I executed the same report through RSSMQ via his user id , and I got the below message.
All value were selected . Hierachy Authorisation cannot be used.
A displayed hierachy requier a hierachy authorisation .
But when i checked his authorisation , I am able to see that he should have authorisation to all the hireachy .
could you please let me know , how can I check more ?

after accessing the report , u go to su53 tcode and check the authorization and u can see what is problem in authorization for the that user and u can send the details to secuity team to rectify the issue ,

Not able to see the result in particular column of BPC report

Dear All,
I have problem in one of the BPC report where I am not able to see the result into one column but rest of the users are able to see the result for same column in same report without any issues.
Generally, I used this report frequently but having such problem from last few days. Excel has created any logs which I need to clear? Please advice.

In the report what type of data you are trying to check in that column. can you please brief about report.
And also please check the excel cell format (right click and check it is a numeric or character), which may help to resolve this issue.

in reference to your query please review the SAP note
152335 Field EBELN in line layout variant for cust./vendor
Please note that field BSEG-EBELN is not possible for being shown
with a value in FBL1N and FBL5N as explained in the note above.
Since Release 3.0, several purchase orders can be offset in one invoice.
As a result, different purchasing document numbers (BSEG-EBELN) can be
contained in the different G/L account line items.
As a result, it is no longer possible to enter a unique purchasing
document number in the customer/vendor line item.Field BSEG-EBELN is not
filled in the vendor line item and therefore cannot be displayed in the
line item display for customers/vendors.
Hope this information helps to clarify the standard system behaviour.
