CS4 exporting to IDML, where's the ZIP?

I want to explore CS4's new InDesign Markup Language export and it's XML, but I do not see the ZIP file that is supposed to be created when I export my file. All I see is an IDML file that my XML editor does not like.
The documentation is weak. There is one link to an Adobe blog that calls it the best new feature in CS4, but I don't think it's working right. Is there anyone exporting to IDML and doing something with it?

I think using the Java tools are a bit beyond the average middle of the
road user as well. I think scripts like I put up here:
http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?14@@.59b71715/4 are much simpler to use.
It would have been really nice to have IDML packaging and unpackaging
scripts included with the sample scripts...

Error -43 export failed errors - where is the help??

I have Quicktime 7.03 Pro
I want to convert avi files for web development and it would also be nice to convert for my video ipod too.
However, I get nothing but error -43 when I try to export ANY video file. I've even tried exporting mp4 files created by Videora which play on my ipod, but they will not convert to .MOV with Quicktime Pro.
I have searched and searched but there is little to no information on this error and absolutely no information for how to resolve it, or what causes it, etc.

You can also Download and Install the Latest version of iTunes from the link below.

Export to IDML - table error

Hello,
we're having problems with the export to IDML atm. When we export an Indesign file to IDML, the stroke weight differs on some parts of some tables.
This is an image of the original INDD file:
where I've highlighted the stroked table line which is 2pt.
When we export to IDML, we get the following:
Here, the stroke weight for the 7 last columns of the first table are different. We can put them to 2 pt manually, and that will make them look the same as the original.
We can't find any styles or other reason in the original INDD file why the IDML would have this issue.
I've tried this in both CS5.5 and CS6, both with the exact same result.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? The document is several 100 pages, and manually checking the tables for this is a lot of work.
Please note we need the IDML file as we're a translating company, and we can not translate INDD without first creating the IDML file for our translation software.

This is a bit worrying for all those who have to go the IDML route to retrieve a document opened in a newer version of ID in error.
Sorry I can't really help with an explaination of what might be going wrong.
I am intrugued to know why you are using IDML to get the text, is it for translation?

It isn't something you download. Sign on in Adobe Reader and the Export button just works.

The only way to this can not be "export to media" or devices and from there to you tube?

Yes, i found it there. In fact; a logic place...
The second q. means the way you load upo; dirtectly from the menu share to you tube of first make a QT and from there to the sky.
I quess there must be no differance but you never know...

Where is the "done" button in Flash CS4 when using Flash Builder 4's new flash component or container?

The documentation for Flash Builder 4 beta says that after opening flash from flash builder, I should click a "done" button in flash and flash should close and what I created in flash should be included as a component or container in Flash Builder. Using the Flash Builder 4 beta on Windows, when I click on the "create in flash" button on the properties panel for either the new flash component or container, Flash CS4 opens, I create something in Flash and no "done" button is present. Nor is anything present in the menus resembling a "done" option. Where is it?

Still no done button. Now under commands in Flash I can convert symbols to flex components and containers and these show up in the Flash library.

I apparently didn't get one. I've looked under various workspace configurations. Another thing that seems odd is that when Flash opens I get the opening panel that allows me to select the type of file and version of AS I want to use. I select new file with AS3. Any ideas on why the "done" button wouldn't be present and if the opening panel is what I should expect on opening Flash after clicking the "create in Flash" button?

hi guys, i'm trying to sort out what input codecs ME accepts. but i can't find where the ME forums are.
yeah, i've also spent 40 minutes with Adobe telephone support, only to learn that they, too, would like R&D to tell them exactly what codecs ME is supposed to support ....

In the meantime, Microsoft helped me (lets see how fast this gets deleted ...). Turns out that i can use the $49 "Microsoft Expression Encoder 3 with IIS Smooth Streaming" to do the screen capture, and it will then support transcoding it to 264, which i then copy over to my Mac and work with in CS4. This seems to be the best way to do screen cast recording.

Not available in Logic when running in 64-bit mode.. it's actaully a function of Quicktime that Apple has never addressed. You should see it when Logic is booted in 32-bit mode.

As Bob said, though, this is generally a hardware/driver issue of some sort. I've just seen a case where some malware was causing BSOD when trying to run or install a scanner. When I got the malware off the machine the BSOD problem was instantly cured.

Export outline to xml_file ... from EAS- MaxL editor, where is the export file

version 11.1.2.3.x
EAS is called from IE via the valid url and opens with no error.
When I run an outline xml extract from EAS (MaxL editor) there are errors.
e.g. as mentioned in the docu

The error says unable to create objekt. However, the given path c:/temp exists on my client box.
When I run the same from a maxl shell it works like a charme... the otl-xml-export file is created on my box in the given directory.
Only when I run the command in EAS WITHOUT any path like "basic.xml" it works without any error, however I cannot find the file on my box. Where could it be ? Why the error when a valid path is given?
I have no clue.
Can someone explain wether I'm doing wrong something, or is there someone having faced the same issue?

Indeed it's created on the Application server.
That's terrible! I was even able to write to c:/Windows/.
I have never tried this before. And what I see makes my very concerned about this.
Anyone who can run such an export can write anywhere on the Appliaction server!
Give me some minutes to realize what this means regarding security concerns.

Export failed, where is the temp file?

I am on version 6 of Premiere. A media export failed in the middle due to insufficient space. Before the export the hard drive has about 1GB of free space. After the failed export the drive is left with 10MB of free space. I am suspecting there might be some temporary and intermediate files created during the export process. I checked the output folder and removed the temp file there. But the space has not been reclaimed. Does anyone where else I should check?

1 gig of space is bound to make the export faile.
You need adequate space, Your disk needs to be empty for at least 25%.
Empty your Media Cache in your prefereces/Media
Also clean the path mentioned at the top.

In previous versions, it was possible to select numerous options and setting to export a high quality Quicktime video.

The new version 6 and the previous version 5 can both be installed, many users use both to utilise the different features. If you had the previous version installed and have not deleted it is located in iWorks in the Applications folder. If you don't have the previous version it is available from Ebay.
