CS4 Extended user: 32GB of session photos WON'T download through Bridge. help!!

Hi folks,
First time poster here. I posted this on the Photoshop Windows board too - I am desperate.
I am running CS4 Extended on my one-year old Windows 7 PC. I did 13 mini sessions over the weekend. I'm a portrait photographer and have had ZERO problems with my CS4 extended in the last year. I always download my photos through Bride (and Adobe Photo Downloader). I adjust them in Adobe Camera Raw and then open them in Photoshop. No issues until now.
I shot 8 of my sessions on a 32GB card. Usually, it takes minutes to get the images off my card. Now? It's taking DAYS. I realize 32GB is a lot to try to download all at once, so I am breaking them down into 100-200 image clusters each. But every time I try this, my Photo downloader eventually crashes. I HAVE to get these images off my cards asap!! HELP!!!!
Symptoms:
1) the thumbnails are taking FOREVER to generate
2) when I click on images to download, they are taking FOREVER to download (like....hours.....for 100 images).
3) After an hour or so, the Photo Downloaders stops working and I have to close the program.
I have tried:
1) rebooting the computer - 6x to no avail
2) turning off my norton 360
3) updating my Adobe and Photoshop - all software up to date
WTH is going on????

In addition to the replies I made to this post in the Photoshop forum here is another suggestion.
If it worked before and not now, and you have not added any hardware or software (or updates) then I would reset the preferences.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the Bridge icon to start. You should get a reset window with 3 options.

You need to set up Photo Stream.
Only the photos you take now will be available in photo stream not photos you have taken before your icloud is active.

IWeb photos won't download to download folder

I've enabled downloading on a few of my photo pages, here's one: http://gobophoto.com/GoboPhoto/Divas_%26_Dames.html However, when I click the download button, it doesn't send the photo to my download folder. It just opens a larger picture on a new page. What do I need to do to get the photos to drop right into the download folder when that button is clicked?

No, you've not done anything incorrectly. Unfortunately that's how iWeb works. In iWeb the only way to get a file to download when a link to it is clicked on is to have that file zipped or compressed. The iWeb slideshow coding does not do that.
The MobileMe galleries allows photos to be downloaded directly to your hard drive but it's coded for that: MobileMe Gallery - Space Station Photos

My iphone won't download apps, just show waiting and won't download podcasts. Help!

My phone won't download any apps, just say waiting instead of loading or downloading.
Also won't download any podcasts or songs

Try Settings => Store, sign out and sign back in
Also try Settings => WiFi, toggle off/on
Try Settings => General => Reset => Reset Network Settings
(this will erase any WiFi password you had entered in previously)
Try downloading to computer's iTunes and sync to the device after that.

Photo stream not downloading through icloud

I have set up Icloud on my PC and cannot seem to get photos to download. I have watched numerous UTube tutorials and gone through the help sections. but is not working. Even the Apple help suggests that you can reset your photo stream, through the icloud log i, but I dont get the Advanced menu option they talk about...

Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at Cloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

The 2.1.3 Software update won't work, the new version of iTunes won't download. Please help.

For several months now I have not been able to find a solution to either of these two problems. When I have the Apple Software Update program open and I click update, it loads for a second and then goes back to the usual page saying to update. It will not update. I have also tried, multiple times, to install the new current version of iTunes and that won't work either. I've tried to repair iTunes by going to Control Panel > Programs > Repair and it still won't work. Please help because I'm trying to download a new app but it requires the new version of iTunes. I am using a Windows Vista and I'm this is for my 4th generation iPod touch.

Did you try simply downloading the latest version of iTunes using the link below and then installing it on top of the older version?

Getting to Adobe's “Classic” Support Content
I don't know about you, but I find Adobe's new marketing/upgrade-focused support content anything but supportive. If you visit a support site to find out about using your current product, the following will be most helpful. After coming up with the workaround described below, I found Adobe's non-marketing support content (i.e., the actual information someone is looking for when they want to use their current product) via this link:

This is the Adobe support site with which I am familiar. You can drill down to the specific product you have a question about using the dropdown to the right of the search box.
I found this on the last two PDFs I was looking for using the workaround, below. In case this, too, disappears, I'm retaining the workaround in this comment.
A Search Engine Workaround
Found a workaround for locating PDF copies of previous versions of Adobe user's manuals: search using Google's "site:" operator. For instance, to find CS4 resources published in US English, go to your browser's search bar (make sure Google is the designated search engine), and type:
site:help.adobe.com/archive/en_US/ CS4
Note: Remember to put a space between the last slash and the search term.
This worked for Bridge and Version Cue, Dreamweaver (help, extending, and API reference) Extension Manager, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Media Encoder, and Photoshop (includes "Extended" features)
Found Acrobat 9 user's manual with: "site:help.adobe.com help.pdf 9" where "help.pdf" is typically at the end of each filename and, "9", would help filter down to the version I was looking for.

Missing the days when Adobe put the user first.

Photoshop CS4 extended stopped opening fully (no tools, won't open files). Re-installation didn't solve the problem.

Photoshop CS4 stopped opening fully...(It seems to open, the menu is there but no tools and files won't open)... I re-installed from a downloaded file and the same thing is happening. Any suggestions?

When you uninstall, check "remove settings", then run the CS cleaner tool.

All of a sudden, my photos won't go through to non verizon users

I sent a picture to 2 AT&T users, who I send pictures to all the time, and both of them received an error icon. No message telling them what went wrong, just an icon. I haven't changed anything in my settings. Is this a problem with my device or AT&T?

I cannot download photos from my digital camera to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to successfully do this up to 4 days ago but not yesterday. My camera/device is recognized in the Source List but photos won't download for me to import to library.

I cannot download photos from my digital camera (via a cable) to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to do this successfully up til 4 days ago but not yesterday (Dec. 25th). My camera/device is recognized in the Source List, but when it tries to download the photos, all I get are the words "Loading Photos" in the area where the thumbnail pictures usually display. The little "gear" symbol next to the words but it just goes round and round. Nothing ever downloads, and instead of showing me how many pictures there are to import it just says "No photos". So therefore I cannot import the photos to my library since they won't even download.
I was getting an error message a few days ago that my Iphoto library was getting full, so I emptied my trash in both Iphoto and on my computer. I had this same problem back in October and emptying the trash and getting rid of some photos did help (can I really be using that much storage space for the pictures?). But it didn't help this time.
Any suggestions as to what to do to solve the problem? I would try taking the SD card out and inserting that into the slot on the computer to see if I could load pictures that way; but the last time I did that, they wouldn't load. Not sure if I lost pics from the disc or not.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

Iphone4 photo won't download. Message is iPhone has timed out.

My Mac commuter OSX 10.7.5 gives this message when I try to download my iPhone 4 photos. " This device is not able to download because the iPhone has timed out. I got the iPhone as a handle down from my son. It worked once before without any problem. I am in iTunes and notice that my iPhone is not recognized. How do you "untime out" the phone?

I am having the same problem..Have been trying for couple of weeks now. I even turned off the firewalls-was told this when I called Apple Support. It did not help any. I will watch & hope that someone will reply to your post.

I bought illustrator and the cloud won't download? Please help!!!

I have an iMac OS X and just bought the months usage for illustrator. When I go to download the software however, it makes me download Creative Cloud first but it won't do anything past the creative cloud installer load-up.
It will load up to the end and then nothing! Nothing pops up, and I still don't have Creative Cloud anywhere on my desktop.
I'm very confused and really need this program ASAP. Is there anyway I can skip the whole Creative cloud setup and just get this program right onto my computer?

Have a iTunes music player file that won't open through iTunes - help!

I downloaded a music file from the internet that is an iTunes music player file, and now when I try to import it to iTunes it won't open or even if I just try to open the file it brings up iTunes, but no music is opened or played. I've tried to change the file's format through iTunes but i couldn't figure that out and I've tried to save it as a different type of file when I downloaded but that didn't work either. HELP PLEASE! I WANT MY MUSIC!!

Useful info, Katrina. It's been so long since I had install an app to handle that (Remember Stuffit?) that it didn't occur to me that Windows either couldn't do it or didn't come with a utility along with all the other stuff that seems to come on an new computer.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes? ITunes just won't download. Please help!

Hey.
I got a new laptop at the weekend which runs on Vista. I've had an iPod Touch for about a year and have used it previously on another computer previsouly with no problem at all.
However, I've trid to download the latest version of iTunes for my new laptop but it will just not download. It normally gets to somewhere between 20% and 40% but then just freezes. If I try pausing the download and then restarting it, it still doesn't carry on but just sits there.
If anyone has got any ideas at all then it would be much appreciated. I am on Firefox and have Quicktime installed.

When you say "download", do you mean that you cannot get the iTunes installer copied from the Apple web site successfully? Or do you mean that you have the installer on your computer but that after running it, it gets part-way through but then fails?
