CS5.5 install failure from disk.

Working with Windows Vista Premium, 64 bit. Have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, started in safe mode, gone through all again. Keep getting various error codes. Typically 6 but do I need to replace this ? "InstallPlugin.exe" referenced below? I am not finding the windows installer download the site references.

These errors are known. They pertain to a newer version of Flash Player already being on the system and the installer not dealing with this. If the apps run just fine, then there is nothing you must do.

Any Adobe Desktop applications don't overwrite the older version while installation. They install in seperate folders. You can Install and use CS5 and CS6 on the same computer, even simultaneously.

Cant install software from disk. Terminal window opens with a logon and bash message?

I cannot install software from disk & in some cases download.
If any software disk is inserted the terminal window appears.
The Disk has to be clicked to open the contents but install files or package files show as a blank doc and not the usual yellow package icon.
All that shows is a log on message in the terminal window, but nothing about install.

Are you using one of the newer iMac's with no DVD drive? If so, you can either get an external CD/DVD drive (any make - doesn't have to be Apple) or, if you have another Mac on the same network that has a CD/DVD drive you may be able to do it by turning on 'DVD or CD Sharing' on that Mac (System Preferences>Sharing). Hopefully you'll see the disk on the Mac without the DVD drive and be able to install from there.

I understand that your desktop computer is producing an error message when you are attempting to install software using the DVD/CD drive, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To enable your system to install software from your DVD/CD drive, I recommend following the steps in this document on this application failed to start because side-by-side-configuration is incorrect. HI, I know this is a strange place to post this, but Adobe Support suggests talking to Apple, as I have an install failure of Photoshop CS5, the install app won't even initialize, and it's just on one instance of SL. I can install fine on other machines, and other bootable drives, but not on the one inside an imac (late 2008 vintage). Baffling, as the problem must be tied to this one instance...my production one. I tried other users on the machine, but no luck...same problem. I checked permissions, ran Disk Warrior, all of that, still no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions besides using Gimp:) thx,

I can see what's going on with the installer... first it's supposed to create a temp application dir in the user account, Adobe/OOBE/blabla... then kick off the activation and then the installer. Before it get's to the activation part, it blows and deletes the dir it started. As I successfully can install on another boot drive, I tried to cobble together the installation that way, by just copying files over, and got there - pretty much. I just can't activate with my serial number as I am supposed to be able to do...probably intentionally made so - but PS is running in trial mode on my production machine, and full mode on a test machine - ha! If I could just reverse the situation I would be golden. Anyway, I have another call in to Adobe...

I did not get the "This document is not recognised do you want to choose an application to open it with" error message. It's just that it is not recognizing any content at all on the CD in Finder. I have used this external CD drive before with this Macbook. I also tried to open the docs through Word and it again showed that a CD was in "Devices" as a "Remote Disc" but does not recognize any of the docs on the CD.

Download the installation files and install using your serial number from the disc you have.

I have a SERIOUS problem.
I am running a legal copy of Photoshop CS6 (was) on MacBookPro
I tried installing the update (13.0.6) and got the U44M1P7 error. Following instructions from Adobe I uninstalled my Photoshop, with the intention of reinstalling.
However, when I tried to reinstall from the regional disk, there is now an error on the disk itself. Instead of running it keeps on ejecting the disk.
This makes me believe there is a problem with the disk - where can I obtain another disk?
Or alternatively, where can I download a CS6 version without having to download the trial version of PS Cloud version?

I'm trying to find help on installing Photoshop CS4 on a Win7 64-bit computer. The DVD appears to have the 32-bit version and I've tried having Windows install it as Vista as well as WinXP, but it doesn't work. It just provides an error and tells me to contact support. I'm guessing this is under the CC area, but I can't find a DVD area!

How do I install Cs3 from disk, after trashing the trial version?

I've made the mistake of trashing the trial version of Cs3 that I had on my imac a few years ago.
Now I'd like to install photoshop cs3 on my imac as my other computer is out dated and I get the error message that CS3 is conflicting with CS3 on the computer.
I realise it was a mistake to trash the trial. Is there anything I can do?

Download the cleaner tool from the following location and select "CS3" from the pop-up menu. http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
It will show you all CS3 products installed on your machine and will also allow you to remove them selectively. Select the trial build and click "Cleanup".
Or if you have no other CS3 or CS4 application installed on your machine you can just click "Clean All CS3/CS4" to clean your machine.
Then try to install Photoshop CS3.

Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
If you have an called Little Snitch installed, that can prevent apps from downloading.

I have taken lenovo rescue recovery to my external drive sometime ago.
I am planning to upgrade my HDD to SSD and would like to re-install windows freshly from factory recovery.
However, when i tried to create rescue media, it was complaining "Only one Microsoft windows copy" in the system.
This seems due to previous factory backup taken to my external drive.
Now, i want to use the external drive to re-install windows. Please help me how do i re-install after fixing my SSD

You should have made a bootable USB in the rescue process. After installing the new SSD, boot into that USB with your external drive (with the data part) plugged in. It may also be possible that the external drive is also the bootable drive, which makes things easier.
After that, you should be in the Rescue and Recovery environment, where you can restore the factory copy of Windows onto your new SSD.
