CS6 and CC programs on one PC

Hi!
I have already some Adobe CS6 programs (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop ...) on my PC and I am thinking about buying/subscribing After Effects CC. The problem is that the test version didn’t work - I assume because the other programs are in CS6 version. I downloaded it and there was a message that the Adobe Application Manager doesn’t work. It didn’t work even when I downloaded it from Adobe page. However, it worked on the other computer that doesn’t have those programs.
What could be the problem?
Can you assure me that I would be able to use the After Effects CC on my PC (where all the other programs are in CS6) after I buy it?

There should not be any issue if you are using both the version of CS6 & CC. Have you checked the system requirement for After Effects CC? System requirements | After Effects
If the machine meets the system requirement & after effects is not working then you should get it resolved by the Adobe Support as it could be system specific issue.

I would like to upgrade to CC from CS6, but to get the "already costumer prize" I need a serialnumber that I've never got upon when I installed CS6, since it was done via the webb. How should I proceede?

iCloud's mail server settings are different from MobileMe's. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

iCloud cannot access your AOL account (the MobileMe facility for checking external POP accounts does not exist in iCloud) - you will have to do this in the Mail application in the usual way. You could of course set up forwarding from your AOL account to iCloud (assuming they provide this facility) but you will not be able to reply using iCloud's SMTP server with anything other than the iCloud address as the 'From' address.

Thank you for your suggestions. I downloaded a more recent version of Twain, but this didn't help. I also tried closing and opening Photo Shop and restarting my computer without success. Reinstalling Photo Shop sounds like a very promising solution, but I'm not sure I will do it. In the meantime I can scan items using a printer program. These scans open in Photo Shop. It is an extra step.

Go to Se38 and check how code inpsector and extended syntax check. I dont remember the exact function module name but just debug a little u will be able to find it.

That depends on which program you downloaded and how/where it was installed/saved.
Let's explain it this way:
Every account has a home folder (the little house icon you see in the Users folder, Go Menu or Finder Sidebar. Within every home folder there are a number of folders: Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Movies etc. Have a look yourself. Unless you want to almost all of those folders restrict access for any other user account, This is by design.
So Andy logs into his account launches a browser and decides to download Dropbox. Safari stores/saves downloads into Andy's Downloads folder which is in his home folder. From there Andy launches Dropbox and begins to use it and when he's done he logs out and leaves the computer free for Bob and tells him he's downloaded Dropbox.
Bob logs in and trys to find Dropbox so he can use it but he can't find it. That's because Andy has left the Dropbox app in his Downloads folder which only Andy has access to. Bob now has three choices. He either downloads Dropbox again; or he asks Andy to grant him access to his Downloads folder; or he asks Andy to move Dropbox from his Downloads folder to the Applications folder.
The situation is slightly complicated in that not all programs/apps you download are stored in the Downloads folder. Some will get installed in the Applications folder.
Every account has access to all the programs/apps in the Applications folder.

Using Photoshop CS6 and after printing approx. 10 cards on an Epson R3000 printer the program gives me a dialog box saying "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." Even after closing and reopening the program, the print command is greyed out so I cannot select any printer. This also happens with a Brother laser printer. Both printers will produce a test page out side of the Adobe product. Help!

I cannot get any help either. I get the message "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." I have reinstalled all drivers, powered off/on all printers (2 of them - a Brother HL - 4040cn and an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 - which all worked fine until this morning). There appears to be no path to a solution. I have read all the forums and tried about 20 different suggestions all to no avail. Reboots, changing cables, reinstalling printers and drivers and Photoshop CS6 - ALL TO NO AVAIL. On a macbook pro retina with 10.10.3. This issue is out there and some get solutions - but not all - that's my crowd...the not all crowd. I have yet to be able to print from CS6 any more. This is a show stopper and my patience is wearing thin. And I'm tired of stupid questions like "is your printer powered on?" give me a break. This appears to be an adobe photoshop cs6 problem - as I can print from every other application. Anyone have any ideas? Adobe should have something?... Adobe system info below:

I have CS6 and when I try to open it, it shuts down ID almost instantly. The file was created on a MAC and I am trying to open it on a MAC. There's a good chance the file is corrupt. As whomever sent it to you to verify it opens on their end.
