CS6 Design and Web Premium install failure (OS X)
Hello all,
I recently was given the chance to upgrade to CS6 Design and Web Premium through my educational instutition. I first uninstalled my CS5.5 installation that I previously had through them. Now, whenever I run the CS6 installer, the timer keeps going up on the "Running package scripts" step until it reaches ~32 minutes and then it says that the installation failed. I can literally watch the CS6 pplication folders gradually appear in my Applications folder, and then the installation just reaches a point where it starts deleting everything in the folder. I have tried everything from running the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool (nothing comes up), analyzing my installer logs with the Adobe Support Advisor (again, nothing), installing using a root account (same problem), installing in Safe Boot Mode (again, same problem), and deleting the Adobe folders in my Library/ApplicationSupport folders. I'm on OS X 10.8.2 and had no problems installing/uninstalling CS5.5.

Should go off without a hitch at that point. You can move back any custom profiles you had in the original Profiles folder post-install.

Error installing Photoshop CS6 (Design and Web Premium)
A similar error occurs if I try to install all of CS6.. I've had Revo Uninstaller delete all the registry keys/leftover files and tried reinstalling.. I've tried installing MS Visual C++ 2010 independently of the install. No dice. I have homework due tomorrow (of course) and my photoshop broke.. And will not install now..

Upgrading to CS6 Design and Web Premium from CS4 Design Premium Install Failure
I am trying to upgrade to CS6 Design and Web Premium from CS4 Design Premium on Win 7 (32bit). I am nistalling from the DVD which was purchased from the Adobe Store. The box says it is for Upgrading from 4 or 3x. I am entering the CS6 serial number and it is able to validate it. When it goes into the Preparing to Install mode the status bar never changes and after what seems like a very long time the Installation failed message is displayed. I ran the Adobe Support advisor and followed the link to the page that tells you how to resolve the issues and chose to go into the registry and look for "In Progess". There was no "In Progress". I have the serial numbers for CS4 and CS6 so they should be valid given that both were purchased through the Adobe Store. I am very frustrated!!!!!!!!!

This time it got to installiing the applications and after 3 hours it was only 55% completed and showing that it was installing Acrobat and had 2 hours to go. Elyshaagain, if you repeatedly lose connectivity make sure you're using a wired, not wireless connection or use a more stable wireless connection.
or you could use a download manager that allows you to continue downloads when they are interrupted. -

I have purchased the CS6 design and web premium at amazon and have had trouble downloading it. First i needed the correct processor, such as a minimum of Snow leopard or 10.6.8. I need help getting started because nothing is working for me? If anyone has any input please let me know. Thanks!

CS6 Design and Web Premium: can't open DW as it tells me I'm not connected to the internet
I downloaded CS6 Design and Web Premium 30 day trial, but can't open Dream Weaver as it tells me I need to install a java runtime to do this but that I can't because I'm (apparently) not connected to the internet. I am connected however, and when I try the network diagnostics it also confirms that I'm connected to the WiFi.

Silent installation + activation for CS6 design and web premium - volume license
Hi All,
I am having CS6 design and web premium - volume license and i am facing with a difficulty that we have to choose options for installation, also all of our computers are working behind proxy, therefore there is no direct internet which is causing problem with activation. Can you any suggest me away to implement silent install and activation without internet for bulk PCs ( about 500).

I filled the forms, I signed them , I called the assistance for case number and they've sent me another module:

Installation issue with CS6 Design and Web Premium
I purchased CS6 Design and Web Premium for school with a voucher from JourneyEd. I have downloaded (it took 13 hours not 1.5)and assume that it completed since I saw the files extracting in the download assistant. I always download to my desktop and install from there. I have two folders, CS6 Master Collection which is empty and CS6 Design and Web Premium which has three subfolders; Adobe CS6, Design and Web Premium and fonts. The first two have set-up file applications within them. There is no .exe file so I have run the set-up applications within these file folders. An installer appears and runs onscreen but nothing is installed. There are no error messages. I purchased this computer in June and it has more than enough space. I am using Windows 7. I really need this for school.
If the current installation files you have downloaded are not working then please try downloading the trial of Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=designweb_premium. You can then enter the serial number for your purchase during the installation process.

I don't know if you are on a personal PC/Mac or on a large environment. On my case I'm trying to use AAMEE to package and SCCM 2012 to deploy it over a considerable number of 64bits machines.
So, I have created a Deployment using AAMEE and one of the Exceptions was AdobeHelp. The command line that was provided on the Exceptionsinfo.txt after building the package is:

With the normal AAMEE package I will not be able to install all the Exceptions so I created a CMD file with a sequence to install the main MSI and then the Exceptions. To the provided command before mentioned I included the following:

My sequence goes well but then when trying to install AdobeHelp it sends an error that it can't find -silent and seems that it got frozen as it's still runing the installation as I'm writing.
If someone has any idea please share it with us as this could be an error on AAMEE with the command that it was provided to me after creating the deployment package.

File type icons in CS6 Design and Web Premium
Hello everyone.
I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I have recently upgraded from CS5.5 Design Premium to CS6 Design and Web Premium.
I the process, I lost the association of file types (such as .psd) with their relevant programs, which I have now recified.
However, the filetype icons that are associated with each program, in most cases, don't seem to have assigned themselves to their respecitive icons. For example, .psd files now show as a white document with the blue Ps square icon in the centre, and the same for InDesign etc. Oddly, Illustrator has worked and has assigned it's icons correctly.
For example:
I can't find a method of editing specific file types icons - even then, I wouldn't know where to find the particular icon sets.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance either way.I used the CS Cleaner (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and followed the steps its really easy.. but ur gonna have to re install you Creative Suite all u do for the cleaner is open it up then select english (e) ->enter->Agree (Y)->enter->All (1) (which is the first option for a full clean i guess)->enter->Product Number its just basically asking you to input your choice number again (1)->enter and should tell u its all done then after u install CS again go to start-> default programs->associate file type->.psd for example->double click it and select Photoshop even though its probably already selected >.< but just do it again cuz it will refresh all the files on the coputer and whala you should c the correct file dysplay Heres pictures of my files before and after as proof
