CS6 install fails to initialize on Win 7 PC. Have tried CS Cleaner Tool, installing from admin account, downloading Application Manager separately, and verified install media. The PDApp.log show PIM errors; Failed to load updaterInventory Library, Error in _pimCreateAndValidateUpdateInventoryLibrary, Setup - Unable to free PIM object. Any help appreciated.

This error usually comes up when the Updater inventory is corrupted in installer.
Please Redownload and extract the installer.

CS6 install fails on Retina Macbook Pro (10.8.2)
I downloaded the CS6 Design and Web Premium trial and attempted to install. It downloaded fine and I can open the .dmg file, but the instant I click the Install application I get the error message "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I did as it said but it detected nothing. I deleted the trial and downloaded the Master Collection CS6 trial to see if the result was any different.... it wasn't. Got the same error message. I looked though other forums and tried their methods to fix this but I have had no luck. Time is kind of, of the essence. Start school in a few days and a Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator class is difficult without Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator.
Anybody know what to do?

I seem to have found a workaround. I used the application manager linked HERE and my issues have been resolved. I was able to install all of the CS6 programs with that Manager. Must have been giving me corrupt files or the manager itself was corrupt.
Everything downloaded, installed, and updated perfectly. All I did was make sure I had every trace of previous attempts deleted off my computer then downloaded the app manager.
Very weird fix but I'm happy it worked. Thanks.

CS6 install failed. Program was the free upgrade from recently purchased CS5. Downloaded without problems from Adobe. About 3/4 of the way through the install I got an error message to the effect that the program was an unauthorized version. Support said that this was a known problem and the work around was to download the demo. I didnt have the time to go through it then. Are there step by step instructions available for downloading and registering the demo version or will this issue be solved in the near future and I can start over. I am not in a particular hurry.
The unauthorized version error message is often the result of a corrupted download. You can download the trial but if you go to your order page you should also find the option to initiate a direct download of your purchase. Or is this the option you chose previously?

Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.

Adobe CS6 'Installer failed to initialize' on Windows 7. Help!
I downloaded the Adobe Extended CS6 from Adobe.com on to my Windows 7 (HP) Dell laptop on 64bit.
After unpacking the downloaded file, I tried to run the installer but got the message - 'Installer failed to initialize'. It tells me to dowload the Adobe Support Advisor but the program is no longer available. See- Adobe - Adobe Support Advisor

In trying to fix this, I have uninstalled all Adobe Cloud/Flash software and ran the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner and CCleaner tools. And yet the problem persists.
I've lost half a day trying to fix this, so if there's anyone out there who can help I'd be very grateful!Is your user profile on the C: drive? How about the Temp directory?

Photoshop CS6 installer fails to initialize
After downloading the Mac version of Photoshop CS6 using Download Assistant, I attempted to install it as a trial. When I launch the Photoshop CS6 install app, it comes back with "We've encountered the following issues -- installer failed to initialize." It suggested Adobe Support Advisor be downloaded to detect the problem. I downloaded and ran that. It comes back with "Inspection could not identify any issues. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance." So here I am...
At first download the Adobe applciation manager manually from the locations:
Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438
Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4773&fileID=4437
Later If you are still facing issue. Rename Media_db, pdb and OOBE folder.
The path for the above files will be:
1: OOBE
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>OOBE and rename the OOBE folder to like (OOBEold).
Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>OOBE .
Note: The library will be hidden in Mac OS X version 10.7 and later you can access the hidden library ie the root library by In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
In the Go To Folder dialog, type ~/Library and click Go to access the hidden library.
2:Location of Media_db, pdb files.
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>Caps
Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>Caps.
After renaming OOBE, Media_db, pdb files run the Application manager which was downloaded and if the issue still persists then:
Create a new Administartor account and the restart the computer and log in back to the created new admin account , log in to CCm account and then try it will work.

When I click on the link to "Get Adobe Support Advisor", it says its discontinued! - IrritatingCabsupportinfo are you installing using a fresh copy of the installation files?
For the specific error I would recommend reviewing your PDApp.log file.
