CS6-Major Installation Problems!

I installed CS6 on my new photoediting  computer only yesterday. It has become a total nightmare!!! I had CS5, luckily, on it prior and left it installed upon installing CS6.
I have tons of memory and tons of HD space. Windows 7 i7 quad core
"Preferences>Memory Usage= Available=3255MB>PScs6 Use=1953mb(60%)
Of course Tech Support is only open M-F so I got nowhere except upon my own.
1) Have new Canon 5DMK3- Adobe preq's states that minimum for this camera in ACR is 7.0-not so!!! ACR Update manager sez I have all the latest updates for ACR!!
2) After realizing that I needed ACR7.1, upon downloading 7.1 I got constant errors saying I needed an updated Adobe Application Manager!
3) Now once I got all these fixed, I now cannot save any non edit tif,jpg,psd..without "checkerboarding" in the image!!! From ANY camera!!!
Any image saved as a jpg,tif,psd looks like this with varied placement of chekerboarding.
4) yet if opened in CS5 looks fine!!!!
5) What happened to the Bridge icon in the tool bar from CS5?

I have received the Escalation Team response and they say it is the NVIDIA card. The GT240 will not use the GPU processes in CS6 properly. They also state that it will happen using any other post processing software.
That is blantantly false because I tested it in CS5, CS5.5, LR4 and Canon's DPP and Image Browser and they work fine.
I am awaiting an new GTX670 card then we will go from there.
Now I also have a reply to the NVIDIA Case# and they say that it is an Adobe problem. This is only 1 of 3 answers below from NVIDIA.

Hello Dan,  I am sorry for the inconveniences being caused but since the issue persists with all the driver versions you have tried we suspect that the issue may not be related to the graphics card or its drivers as we are successfully able to install all the recommended drivers  However also note that the issue occurs only when trying to save the image file and not while trying to work on the image file or render hence the issue does not seem to be related to the NVIDIA graphics card or its drivers  While trying to check for possible causes I came across the following information that if the Scratch Disks are selected on the hard drive that is not able to provide enough space for the file to work on then such issues may occur. You may try the following steps  1. Open Adobe CS6
2. Press "Ctrl + K'
3. Select Scratch Disks and check the hard drive selected (C:\ or e:\, etc.,)  Select a drive which has adequate free space, selecting C:\ may not provide enough resources for the application  Please let us know if the above information was helpful and continue to post us for any further queries and we would be glad to assist you Warm Regards,

  • Desperate Help Needed re CS6 Activation/Installation Problem

    A few months ago, I purchased the full retail version of CS6 (Design Standard) for Windows.  I installed it on a new clean computer running Windows 7 and activated and registered it.  The installation, activation and registration process went smoothly, and initially everything seemed OK.
    A little over a month ago, the nightmare started.  Since then, each time I try to run any of the CS6 components, I get a message telling me it "thinks" I have the trial version installed (even though I actually installed and activated the full version) and asks me if I want to "start the trial" or "license this software."  If I choose "license" it asks for my serial number (which has already been entered numerous times) and it then seems to be OK -- for a while.  However, within a short period of time, the problem is back, and the cycle starts again.
    I have tried on numerous occasions (and spent countless dozens of hours) attempting to resolve this through Adobe support, both via telephone and via "chat."  Each time, I wind up telling the same story to several different people, re-explaining it until they apparently understand it, and then getting transferred around to several people until I finally get to somebody who, supposedly, can help.  Then, that individual walks me through the same things that have already been tried several times before.  Finally, I am assured that the problem has been fixed, and am also assured that they will keep the case open.  Each time, the problem has not been fixed, and I find that the case has been closed (so that the only way I can try to communicate is by starting all over, wasting more hours trying to get through, and ultimately again getting to somebody who has no idea what to do other than to tell me to do the same things that have already proven themselves (several times) not to work).
    The result of all this is that I have a $1200 piece of software which is totally useless.
    Perhaps somebody from Adobe can help me with how to take this to the next level so that it gets to somebody with the knowledge to figure out how to fix the problem.  If anybody other than from Adobe has dealt with a similar problem, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Rob you may find this interesting...Adobe Customer Care sent me an email today in reguards to the problem I (we) have all been having...entering serial number numerious times in order to launch the CS6 program.  This is what they sent me...
    "With this response, we believe your issue is resolved and have therefore closed your case 0183753409.  If your support case has not been completed to your satisfaction or you should need to contact us on this issue again, please reference your case number.  You can reopen your case up to 14 days after it has been closed."
    Then they continue with...
    "Thank you for contacting Adobe technical support.
    Thank you for updating the dependency information.  We discussed this case again with our development team and they have informed that we do not have a solution for this issue at this point in time.  You need to enter the serial number and activate the software each time you launch a 64 bit CS6 application.  I would like to tell you that this is a rare incident and we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.  We are closing this case now.  We will get back to you once we have a fix for your issue.
    I request you to contact us back via Live Chat for further questions."
    So basically they are telling me (us) there is no fix  and they do not have a plan for when there will be one, and that this problem is a rare incident.  I'm not buying the rare incident statement what about you?  I would be very interested to know just how many people out there are having this problem? 
    I am very disappointed in Adobe. How can they close my case saying the issue is resolved when infact it is not?   I am also wondering why they have not already fixed this problem as it seems to have been around for quite awhile.  Not really sure what else to do as Adobe seems not to be very concerned about customers spending hundreds of dollars for a program they know has this crazy annoying problem. 
    I've entered my serial number so many times I almost have the whole number memorized!  What a pain to have to enter it about every other time I want to access my CS6 program!   I'm a Very Very Unhappy Customer!!!

    Jeff, Thanks, I did finally find a browser that would let me actually access my open (but now closed) case but I had to try three different ones before it worked.  Google Chrome worked,  Internet Explorer and Foxfire did not!  FYI
    Chesterr, I will try the steps you suggested but I do not have high hopes in them working to solve our problem.  Thanks...

    How do I install my newly acquired Photoshop when it keeps telling me that I have a missing file when I try to use the setup file?

    you need both the 7z and exe files (1 of 2 and 2 of 2).  dl both, put in the same directory and double click the exe.

  • Major installation problems

    I am running into some serious headache installing the Java ES on a Solaris 10 / x86 platform. However I was having the same difficulties on a Sparc Platform and I am trying to install it in a non-global zone. I did try to install it in a global zone before and I seemed to have resulted in the same errors.
    1) Following through the installation, when it is asked if I want to configure selected products now or later, I do it now, but I can NEVER get them configured. When it is asked to enter my IP address, it keeps saying that it is invalid. I thought perhaps it could be that it doesn't want a private IP, but even if I type in any kind of IP address whatsoever it gives me an invalid IP message and I cannot go further. I decided to try to see if I could just configure them manually aferwards, so I would skip this.
    2) Through the installation (I am ultimately seeking to install the messaging system platform, calendar, to support Outlook. etc) it goes through and then fails. The error logs produce the same errors over and over again, it is looking for files which should be in the ISO image I downloaded but they aren't there. I'll copy and paste a few of the files here and hopefully someone has seen something similiar.
    I mounted both ISO images but needed to copy the entire content to the disk because it was originally prompting me to insert the CD over and over and over so copying it let me pass that problem.

    and just thousands more like this. I looked into sman1 and it's empty. other folders share the same characteristics, the installer is looking for files in a directory that has absolutely nothing :S
    Any help would be really appreciated, I am trying to evaluate this system to implement our messaging platform but I can't even get it installed!

    I managed to fix the problem. turns out the zone wasn't configured as a "whole root non global-zone" and it was giving all these issues. For the ip address issue I just issued a 'configure later" and I managed to configure each services individually.

  • Major installation problem: can someone please help?

    I bought a hp officejet 4215 all-in-one. I had isues from day one. In the end, the paper would never feed through properly, I always had to feed it manually. So finally they send me a replacement printer and I can't install it. Well actaully it doesn't install the main component. I get the following error message: The hard disk became full while installing the file "hp aio print"
    1008:23,-34 The disk is full. However, I've got 21 gigs of free space.
    I've spent over an hour on the phone with support. We've uninstalled and reinstalled, we've trashed all kinds of files and folders from the library directory and it just will not install this file, without which, the scan and copy features will not work. They tell me it's an issue with my hard drive but if so, why did it work okay with the original printer? The problem with the original printer was that it wouldn't feed paper properly. The fax, scan and copy features worked just fine. They say I need to contact Apple and have something done with the Twain data source manager, whatever that is. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Okay guys, I figured it out myself. The installer was trying to install some components on my OS 9 partition when I got the disk full message. I freed up some HD space on the OS 9 partition and it installed just fine. Now why couldn't hp figure that out?

    I was having difficulty installing the adobe CS6.  I was on a chat with technical support (Adobe) and the individual told me to create a new foler on my C: drive and install there.  The program does not work and I do not know how to uninstall it.  Help please...

    A newly purchased Photoshop CS6 installed without problems on my MacBook Pro (OSX6.8).  However, when I tried to install it on my work computer, an iMac with the same OSX6.8, I received multiple error messages after the installation and the program would not open.  What can be done to get the program on my iMac?  Both computers are intel.

    We tried all possible troubleshooting like making sure no existing CS suite, on mac security to allow to download and install "ANYWHERE".

  • Update and installation problems

    I am having issues with Creative Cloud updates and installations.
    None of my Apps will update. I am prompted to update, I click the update button, Cloud says "updating software" but all attempts stop at 0%.
    Similar issues Installing Apps. Installations start but all stop at 90%. No error messages at all.
    This is extremely frustrating and all my Apps are in need of updates to fix minor bugs which are effecting my workflow.

    We can't know. You have not provided any exact system info or other details like the install/ update logs. You can always run the cleaner and start from scratch.

    Yes, the installation succeeded now. But now another problem emerges when I try to install the Creative Cloud updates. The errorlog tells me this:
    Adobe Media Encoder CS6 6.0.2-update
    Installation failed.  Errorcode: U44M1P7
    Adobe Extension Manager CS6-update
    Installation failed.  Errorcode: U44M1P7
    Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6
    Installation failed. Errorcode: U44M1P7
    I really don't have a clue of what I can do here.

  • CS6 64bit sound problem

    Hi,
    I have Window 7 64bit system.
    Since I purchased the CS6, as soon as I installed it, the audio of my system is not playing any sound smoothly.
    First Youtube plays with some missing audio parts. Then I updated the flash player. NO luck.
    then I was recordign with Audition and the same problem was noticed when I played the sound.
    I re-imaged my system with clean window 7. The audio is prefect and no issue. Then I installed the CS6 and got problem. So I know the source of problem is CS6.
    can anyone help.

    Ask in the AU forum. Perhaps it messes with the audio settings or installs some VST stuff that interferes...
