CS6 - Photoshop sometimes does not save changes to Flash bitmaps

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I figured I'd post it here since it involves two CS6 products in conjunction.
I am creating a Flash file that has bitmaps pasted into it. Sometimes I right-click on these bitmaps and "Edit in PHotoshop CS6", make my changes, save in Photoshop CS6, and return to my Flash file to see the bitmap updated.
However, fairly often when I try to save my changes to the bitmap in Photoshop CS6, the save will appear to have been successful, but I will return to the Flash file and see none of my changes recorded. This is while I have Photoshop open right next to it with my saved changed bitmap.
Even more often, Photoshop will prompt me with a "Save As" dialog with the save location defaulted to "Configuration" (even when I have only one layer). Regardless of what I do here, the changes are never saved to the flash file.
The incidence of these save anomaiies seems to be random, and I'm wondering what causes it, and how to avoid it so that my bitmap files will simply save without the hassle of copying everything to my clipboard, closing the file, re-opening it, and pasting.
I am running OSX 10.7.5. Thank you for any guidance.

If you can't repair the damage library you may have to resot to the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not preserve the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note:  your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

I am trying to save a large file on Illustrator CS6 and it does not save and instead says "Unknown Error Occurred." What do I do?
The file has 4 artboards with webpage designs. I tried to take two of the artboards, create a separate doc with those two, and save, but the result was the same.
However, I am able to save simpler, smaller files.
I need to not lose these files and I am afraid to quit and restart and lose my unfinished work.
    Any advice?

What happens if you choose this option?

  • X121e bios does not save changes any more

I wanted to boot with a USB drive but did not succeed (system configuration see below).
The ThinkPad showed me the USB drive but did not boot.
I tried changing the BIOS boot order but the BIOS does not save any changes :-(
Changing the boot order and pressing F10 (save and exit) does not give any warning/error.
I tried resetting the BIOS to defaults (F9) but this gives an error message (see below).
No changes in the BIOS will be saved except the time.
Changes I applied to install Ubuntu are still there (e.g. Legacy Boot).
Does anyone have an idea what's happening?
    Thanks!

I've tried quite a bit by now, also disconnecting the BIOS battery over night.
Nothing did work out. Seems really weird ...
Worst thing is that I can't boot from USB HDD: The ThinkPad does not show the USB drive as a boot option (I've tried 2 different thumb drives, one HDD) and I cannot change the Boot order (1. USB CD, 2. USB FDD, 3. HDD, then USB HDD, WLAN).
Any ideas on how to restor functionality? I'll see if I can get an external CD drive ...
On a sidenote: I've managed to replace the internal HDD to a WesternDigital model with more space but it behaves strange delaying the boot process--I've replaced it. Are there known compatibility problems? HDD spcifics: WD Scorpio Blue SATA II 500GB (WD5000LPVT)

  • Preview does not save changes?!

I love the way I can easily manipulate photos using preview.
But, a strange thing occurs, here the workflow:
    1) I select photos and drag them to Preview
    2) I choose "Rotate" and it rotates the photo and the little red dot in the upper left corner indikates (with a circle/dot) that the file is modified (all great)
    3) I press CMD+S and the file is saved (the red dot in the upper left corner indicates the file was saved)
    4) I close Preview and open the file again and it is not rotated (as if Preview did not save any changes)
    What am I doing wrong?!

Eh, now that's a pitty. So I guess this is a bug then. -is Apple aware of this?
I guess I will use iPhoto from now on, and I was so happy to be able to do such simple things in lightweight Preview.
I don't want to bother with "Save As.." and similar, since these take too much time. The CMD+S would be great, anything more, I can switch to iPhoto.
I wish Apple instead of introducing all these new features in 10.5, would just polish the Tiger (bugs like this, add devices for iSync etc...).
Should I report this bug elsewhere or will Apple read this?
By the way, thank you for your replies!

  • Does not save changes if do not tab to another field

    Hi all,
I have created a simple text book Business Component Data form based on one table (using wizzards). Everything looks good UNTIL :
at runtime if I change a value to a field but do not navigate to another field (tab or click) it does not take my changes into account (even the arrow in the tool bar 'Save changes to the database' becomes enabled only until I click out of the field).
    Any ideas?
How can I programatically force the tab or click (I tried validate triggers, mouse exit etc..)
    PS : I am using JDev3.1
    Thanks

If you registered a mouse listener with the control, you can set the value of the
    attribute by,
    ImmediateAccess ia =
    (ImmediateAccess)myControl.getDataItem();
    ia.setValue(newValue);
    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks for the answer but I tried it and it does not compile the ImmediateAccess stuff (do I need to import a class to get this feature working).
    Thanks

Thanks for your reply Unfortunately , I did not have STORED_CALC field  the GROUP dimension properties for your kind info.
Without above property also, I am getting Error and Can't save changes to DHE.
I have maintained same fields what ever you mentioned in previous post on AppSet/Set Appl parameters.
Really appreciated your feedback on this.

  • IPhoto does not save changes made to picture properly

    Hi everyone,
I just started using iPhoto, and that my first problem: when I edit photo information (f.e. change the name of the photo) in the information panel at the iPhoto window left-bottom corner, these changes are accessible via iPhoto only. It means, that if I copy a picture to my friends computer (by dragging it from iPhoto) all this information is not preserved. The same is when I drag picture to desktop (it looses name info) and when i reimport back to library (no new names already). When after changing the name I check iPhoto originals/modified/data foldes, new names are nowhere to be seen (file names are old ones). The same problem is when I send photos with email - attaching photo from library does not preserve the name.
Does this has to do with some settings I am not aware of? Could I change something to solve this problem?

    Hi,
Instead of dragging, try using the Share > Export option and under 'Name:' make sure to select 'Use Title'...

  • Commit button on panelCollection toolbar facet does not save changes

    Using ADF 11.
    I have a master-detail relationship.
    The master is in panelFormLayout.
The detail is af:table enclosed by af:panelCollection.
On the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection, I have put a Commit button to save changes on the master table.
When pressing Commit, the changes on the master are not saved.
If I put the Commit button outside the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection, it works.
Is there a way to have the Commit button working inside the toolbar facet of the af:panelCollection?

we have same issue, it seem to apply value only in the panelCollection.

  • Gwenview, Okular does not save changes in picture - HOWTO fix it?

Gwenview and Okular does nove save picture what I edited - changed orientation.
    How to fix it?
    Permissions are mine (user/group).
Environment is KDE 4.4.0 and kernel is 2.6.32-ARCH.
    Thanks.

I have this issue as well.
    There's a KDE bug report here : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218107
May be related to libjpeg (8.0.1-1 here, it was update recently) as I get the following in the terminal when trying to save the picture :
    gwenview(19802) Gwenview::JPEGErrorManager::errorExitCallBack: Bogus virtual
    array access
    gwenview(19802): libjpeg error in src
However, someone told me he had no such issue with OpenSUSE + KDE SC 4.1.1.

  • Calendar does not save changes

I have a Macbook Pro (mid-2010) running Yosemite 10.10.  Since upgrading the OS whenever I update something in Calendar the changes do not always get saved.  For example, if my Verizon Wireless bill is due on November 10, I write "Verizon due" and since it is every month on the same day of the month I set this to repeat.  When I pay the bill I change that one instance to "Verizon due - paid".  However, if I close the calendar and reopen it the entry will revert back to "Verizon due".  This is mainly how I keep track of when my bills are paid so this is pretty frustrating.  I also sync the calendar with my iPhone 5s via iTunes.  On my phone some of my calendar entries have disappeared all together, but only certain ones.  I only update my calendar on my Macbook, not on my iPhone.

  • IPhoto does not save changes book project

Im working on a big book project and Im really getting ****** at iPhoto. After working on details, changes do not seem to get saved by iPhoto and even deleted when restarting iPhoto.
    Examples:
    - Replaced photo on an existing page with another photo. Close iPhoto. Open iPhoto. Emty space where I applied the change.
    - Edited multiple titles (font size, sometimes content). Close iPhoto. Open iPhoto. All edited titles are gone.
    - Add Phoenix on a map. Close iPhoto. Open iPhoto. Text of Phoenix has been replaced by Lorem Ipsum Text. Seriously. What's wrong with Phoenix?
    Im running on 10.6.8
    iPhoto 9.1.5 (615)
iPhoto-Lib on external HD, pretty short of memory in general.

  • Camera RAW does not save changes to original file

I am making some basic edits to some photos in Bridge CS5 camera raw.  For some of them I want to save over the original file with the new changes.  To do this, I have been pushing "done", which shows the changes to the original file in the bridge preview... BUT, when I go to view them in the original file folder (housed on the desktop), the changes have not been made to the original file.  Changes are only shown in Bridge.
I have rebooted Bridge and the computer.
    What's going on?

That's the way Bridge works. The original file is untouched. All your changes are saved in a separate .xmp file.
To open a copy of the image with the changes applied, click the Open Image button in Camera Raw.

  • IWeb does not save changes and will not allow republishing

I have created a new site on my iWeb which is now accessed by a separate web address. I first published a new site within this domain which worked fine. Now when I make changes and save, the blue progress bar indicates a save, but when I go to publish the green publish arrow is greyed and I cannot publish. What's worse is when I go back to the altered page, the changes are gone.
I can republish other parts of the site (which are red and I haven't yet updated) and they update fine. But once done, there's way to republish.
    Any suggestions.

Have you tried using the File->Publish Site Changes or File->Publish Entire Site menu options? Also try deleting the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist and rebooting.

  • Mail does not save changes to Preferences Accounts upon quitting

When I upgraded to Mavericks, I encountered two problems with Mail. They may actually be one problem, but I can't tell.
The first, broader, and more concerning problem is that when I make a change to any account in Preferences > Accounts and then I quit and relaunch Mail, the change that I made is  not preserved.
The second and narrower problem is that I have two iCloud accounts that I cannot delete even though I have deselected Mail from my iCloud account in iCloud preferences. When I attempt to delete these accounts, I get this error message:
The account could not be removed
Account removal failed with error: “The operation couldn’t be completed. Unable to find an account for the UID given.”.
You can try deleting the account from the “Internet Accounts“ preference pane in System Preferences.
There is more detail to this second problem that can be found at this discussion.

Same problem … since upgrading to 10.9.4 … every time I restart Mail all the changes to Preferences are ignored and I have to redo.
Checked ~/Library/Mail/V2 folder and it showed I had read/write access … just to make sure I "changed all enclosed files" to read/write for my userid.
    No worked ...
    Any other suggestions??
    Very frustrating!!
