CS6 upgrade suddenly will not load, telling me it is a trial version of CS6 Ext and I must register.

I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 for my IMac. I downloaded CS6 put in my serial number and it worked fine for a number of weeks. Suddenly, when I went to use it it said it was a trial version. I had to register it to use my CS6 I registered it and it worked, but only as a trial version of CS6 Extended. I do not want CS6 Extended. I deleted it from my hard drive and once again downloaded my upgrade of CS6 again with my serial number and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Today, once again, it tells me it is a trial version and will not load unless I register the trial version. What the heck is going on? This is crazy. I simply want to use CS6, for which I paid. Help!

The appearance of the printer in the Default view of the Add printer window relies on a protocol called Bonjour. There have been quite a few users who upgraded to Yosemite only to find that their wifi printer is no longer visible. Until Apple resolves this issue you can add your printer using the LPD protocol. To do so you will need to determine the IP address being used by the MX890. This can be done via the touch panel under Device Settings > Network Settings.
Once you learn the IP address then on the Mac you can click to add the printer and select the IP icon. Here you can enter the IP address, set the Protocol to Line Printer Deamon and leave the Queue field blank. Then change the name to Canon MX890 and in the Use menu, browse for the Canon MX890 series driver. Then click Add to complete the printer creation.

in order to install iTunes 10, you need to upgrade your Mac to OS X 10.5.

HT201320 AOL will not load mail on my iPad. Has been working for months and suddenly gives message "wrong username or password"?

Aol suddenly stopped loading mail on my iPad after months of use. Message comes up "username or password incorrect". I did NOT change this and mt email works on my desktop and other apple device. Tried resetting device, syncing device, everything's updated...tried deleting the account and now it will not restore at all. Don't know what else to do. Anyone have a solution?

Upgrade to newer versions compatible with Lion or downgrade to Snow Leopard:
Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

iOS: Unable to update or restore

Instruments in Logic Pro 9 Library will not load: I try to add a new instrument on a project and get a "cannot be found" error.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
As a faculty member in the School of Music, I have just acquired a copy of Logic Pro 9.1.8 through my University. The programs and instrument packs were installed by our IT department and show as being fully installed on Logic Pro when I search for additional content through the Logic Pro tab at the top of the screen. The window shows that all 6 Jam Packs, Logic Pro & Main Stage Content (Essential and Additional) GarageBand content, and Surround content is installed. However when I try and add a new instrument on a project, most of these instruments cannot be found. I get the following error:
Audio file “KB_pizz_f_C1.wav” not found!
I then press the Continue Tab, and it looks for the instruments in an empty file that Logic creates in the Music section of the hard drive. I have investigated the sounds by going through the MAC Hard Drive>Library>Application Support>Logic>Sampler Instruments folder, and tried to copy the sounds into the Music>Logic folder created by the program. That does not work either. Even attempting to go into these Logic Pro instrument files one at a time has proved fruitless. I am told that the file cannot be opened.
The files appear to be installed, but cannot be accessed or opened. They all have that translucent grey appearance when I attempt to click on the icon. This is true for about 80% of the files in the instrumental library. Whenever I create an instrument, the EVP88 Electric Piano is installed by default. There are a few instruments that I can successfully replace this default instrument with, but a majority of the instrumental library remains unavailable. Can anyone help?

You might try a different way of adding the video files to the web page. This demo page has one where the file does not load until the play button is selected: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window. This demo page has 9 short videos on it using that method: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes. Just add a screenshot of one of the movie frames or any photo you want and add the Play button on or below it.
You manually upload the movie file to your server so iWeb is not involved in the uploading the file at any time.
Similarly this demo page, QT movies via iFrame, has a method that has you manually uploading the file to the server and linking to it via iFrame code. That page also has other similar methods.
Another method is demonstrated in Roddy's iWeb for Musicians site on his Video page. Here you also upload manually.

I can not get my Creative Cloud to launch and Adobe will NOT help me as it is the trial version

I have the trial version of Creative Cloud. I was able to launch at time of down load but can not now. I have tried several times to get tech support from Adobe. They are now telling me because it is the trial version they can't help me. Really??? How do I know if I want to take on a year contract? Any help?

ProTools user, thanks to latest upgrade, ProTools will not load?!

hi, i've checked with the DigiDesign (ProTools) user forum, and found there's a fix for the ProTools 'no-load' problem.
however, i'm unhappy that i have to trash quicktime 7.2, and re-install QT 7.0.1, adn then re-install ProTools.
everything was wokring great until this latest update.
has anyone else come across this problem?
also, i have AppleCare. where amongst this vast "Support" site, do i login and actually use it?!?!?!

I have this issue (or a similar one) too. QuickTime 7.2 prevents plugins from loading in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, DP, etc. Plugins simply freeze when the host tries to initiate them. If I remove all the plugins from the respective plugin folder, the host DAW will open normally. I can't update prebinding, as it returns a dylib error, and none of the other "fixes" have worked. I've reverted to 7.1.6 until I can find a fix that works.

Help! My Sims Freeplay app suddenly will not load.

I have been playing since December and have much game progress I'm trying to preserve. I have an iPad 2 with iOS 6.1.3, over 3.9 GB space and have it set to iCloud backup. I have tried rebooting both the device and the app.
If I delete the app and reinstall it, will my game progress be saved?
The last app update from EA, the game maker, was last Thursday 4/25/13 (they do one every six weeks). I had downloaded it and it was working fine until yesterday.

Firefox was hanging up, I uninstalled and downloaded firefox 18. It will not load, says I have to remove older versions which I have done several times

I can't load firefox 18. It asks if I want to uinstall older version if you answer no it dumps you out. If you answer yes it reboots and nothing changes

Please turn off the computer and turn it back on to see if it helps.
Also please try a clean profile.

Roboform will not load on explor 9 or the latest version of fire fox

I have been able to load it on firfox but when I close the app and reopen it it is gone as far as explorer 9 I can not get it to load at all
