Ctrl+Shift+T Creates Hidden Icon

Before whenever I pressed ctrl+shit+t it would just open my most recently closed tab, but now for some reason it reduces Firefox into the hidden icon folder in the right side of the taskbar(next to the wifi and battery). Has anyone else had this problem?

Ctrl+Shift Pasting within Same Document

So I dont know if this is possible, if its not, I'd like to request it be added to future releases
I have an animation which requires all frames be on the same document, for example, if the animation was 50x50 pixels, and there were 10 frames, my document would be 500hx50w
actually 501 pixels high, as the first pixel row is the animation data
Now, I've created control boxes for each animation, which are 50x50, of alternating colors, so that each animated frame can be easily selected
Now, lets say i want to change one part of the frame 1 animation a bit for frame 2.. Here is how I proceed:
I select the first colored control box, to get the marching ants around the first 50x50 square frame
I select my element within that area on the layer for the item I want in my next frame, then Ctrl+C it
I deselect the Control Box, then select the second control box for frame 2, to get the marching ants around that colored box
I Create a new layer and hit Ctrl+V (or just paste to new layer, result is the same) and it just pastes it in the middle of the box, not aligned with where I need it to be
Hitting Ctrl+Shift+V seems to do nothing at all, whereas one would fully expect it to paste the object int eh exact position within the box that it was copied from
Can anyone help figure out how to paste in place within selections in the same document in Photoshop?
I'm not seeing a solution to this

I also tried Marching ants around the first box, selecting the element I wanted, Hiding other layers as well as the control box, copying merged and pasting over the second control box when it had the marching ants.. that didnt work
tried the same thing but pasting into a new document, it pasted in place to the new document fine, but wouldnt copy / copy merged & paste into my selection properly, it just pasted in the middle
Pasting in the middle is the default action, and it works great and is very useful.. but paste in place seems to have no function here whatsoever.. its like its been forgotten about.. and theres no reason it shouldn't work..

Ctrl+shift+U - Unicode input, how to disable?

Anyone knows how to disable ctrl+shift+u unicode input?
Whenever I press ctrl+shift+u, I get an underlined "u" and can enter some unicode number. However, I don't need it, and because of this, for example in qt creator the predefined "ctrl+shift+u" keyboard shortcut doesn't work.
I have no idea where this mapping comes from (obviously not qt, since ctrl+shift+u is mapped to an important shortcut), but maybe gnome or the xserver?

I just updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to Ubuntu 14.04 and I found that I have exactly this same problem, which is being caused by ibus (my up to date Arch system doesn't seem to have the problem). You can see if ibus is running on your system via:

I'm running XFCE and there is now a "Language Support" icon in the "Settings" panel (select "Settings Manager" on the main menu.) The Language Support app contains a "Keyboard input method system" selection on Language tab. I changed it from 'IBus' to 'None' and now Ctrl+Shift+u works again. (This is a quick and dirty solution that works for me because I'm only using English and never have to type special characters.)

Selcting Multiple CheckBoxe in a JTREE without holding CTRL / SHIFT

My JTree is having JCheckBOxes as nodes .... Now the problem is i want to select multiple nodes (checkboxes) with out holding CTRL/SHIFT key .
Please help regarding this issue ..

Exception when recompiling during application run (ctrl+shift+f9) in jdev 11.1.2.4

Hello,
We just moved to 11.1.2.4 and when I make a small change to a java managed bean class and press ctrl+shift+f9 (which worked on other version of 11g),
I get many excpetions.
This the exception from a very simple test case I created ( It has a button and an outputText, which is changed by the button's action listener from a managed bean)
Can anyone help please?

How to stop ctrl+shift+s in reader

I am opening a pdf in browser as popup. I have hidden the browser menu bar and reader plug-in's copy/save bar. So user is not able to select save command from any menu. But he can use the shortcuts (ctrl+shift+s) to save the pdf. I think this is reader's plug in command can I restrict this.
My intention is not to make user, able to save the pdf to his system directly. Cache is not a problem.
Please help me....

I have a link on my html page which opens the pdf file in html pooup window.
I know if pdf is visible in browswr window its already in browser cache. I am ok with it.

Your post is more appropriate for the Acrobat forum and in particular the Acrobat Script forum. You probably need to have a script that will process any input. However, if Acrobat/Reader's Javascript support is disabled, then any scripting solution will not work.

I know that first this file will download to cache and this can not be prevented. Its okey.

Defect: Ctrl-Shift-N Blanks worksheet contents.

The Ctrl-Shift-N user-interface approach is non-intuitive and not implemented well. But that is not what I am reporting.
I cannot open a new worksheet with Ctrl-Shift-N. I have to use those keystrokes in an existing worksheet.
When I type Ctrl-Shift-N, the contents of the worksheet are removed.
There is no valid reason to do this from a user perspective.
The contents of the worksheet should remain untouched when I change to a stand-lone connection. The product (thankfully!!!) does not blank worksheet contents when I change shared connections via the dropdown list. There is no good reason to act differently for a stand-alone connection.

Keys CTRL-SHIFT-EJECT puts screen to sleep, WI-FI too on ML!

Hello, i used to use CTRL-SHIFT-EJECT on my MBP mid 2009 with Lion to put my screen to sleep while downloading stuff or performing other things. After i upgraded to ML, with the same combination of keys, my wi-fi turns off too and as soon as i hit any key to turn the screen on, i can see my wi-fi icon connecting and after about 2-3 seconds i get back online. Is that a bug or supposed to be so?

In private browsing, ctrl+shift+del is disabled, but I delete cookies during browsing after leaving email; is there a keyboard shortcut or setting to allow this?

I am usually in private browsing mode (since Firefox 4 no longer allows control of how long history is kept). Currently to delete cookies while browsing (e.g. after closing email) I have to go through the menu, open the options|privacy tab, show cookies, remove all cookies. Or I have to close and reopen the browser. Why would Ctrl+Shift+Delete be disabled? Is there a hidden setting to enable it in private mode, or an easier way to delete cookies on the fly?

But I am still confused about this because there are cookies definitely being placed and kept on my computer when I am in private browsing mode, but I can't see them or access them, so how do I get rid of them?

Advanced Search (Ctrl+Shift+F) broken with Protected View = All Files Adobe Customization Wizard XI

I've updated Adobe Reader to version 11.0.09 and it was discovered that the Advanced Search (Ctrl+Shift+F) reports back errors on all words searched inside PDF document/
Reproduce:
1. Use Adobe Customization Wizard XI
2. Create a MST file for the Base Adobe Reader 11.0.0 MSI (AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi)
3. Under Security -> Protected View -> (Set to ALL FILES)
4. Save MST file
5. Install Adobe Reader XI using created MST File and then Install AdbeRdrUpd11009.msp
6. Open any PDF document and search for words using advanced search: (Ctrl+Shift+F) All searches return errors unable to display search.
The error can be reproduced and only occurs on Adobe Reader 11.0.09. None of the previous patches of Adobe had this issue.
The fix actually requires to remove and re-install Adobe Reader but with Protected View=OFF
Please can you confirm bug and report any solution or workaround so that Advanced Search works with Reader 11.0.09?

CTRL+SHIFT+DRAG in arrange

this used to be a good 'drag' tool- you could drag the arrangement back and forth. But in v7 it is a kind of uncontrollable 'auto-scroll'
very hard to control and pretty much unusable. The arrangement goes flying all over the place.
Yes there is the small icon in the lower left corner of the arrange window I know. But why? It's smaller than the scroll-dragger that's built into the window.
Please make the CTRLSHIFTDRAG a normal (controllale) dragging motion again so the arrange window doesn't go flying all over the place.

You can see in that screen cast that the tab moves to the left on the tab bar to change its position, but you stay in the same tab and the position on the web page doesn't change. 
In previous Firefox versions you could only move a tab if you press the Tab key to set focus the tab bar and use Ctrl + Left and Ctrl + Right.

You can create the Easter egg like a page that loads before the index page as mentioned in that forum post. You can also add javascript to recognize the CTRL+Shift and click and then allow the user to enter the site. You can add the Javascript in HTML for head section of the page.

I'm trying to create add a debug menu when the user presses Ctrl+Shift+D. I have a class which extends JFrame, and this is the code I'm using.

Add the menu you want to be visible to the menu bar as usual, use myMenu.setVisible(false); to hide it until the user presses your key combo.
