How do I remove my old iMac from my App Store and iTunes Store accounts?

Before I sold my friend my old iMac, I used the Migration Assistant to transfer all her files from her MacBook Pro to the iMac. I then deleted all my files. My old iMac and her MacBook Pro were both upgrated to Mavericks before the Migration.
Now, she is being prompted to download and install the updates for Numbers and Pages on what used to be my iMac, but the App Store displays my account identification and asks for my password.
(1) How can I delete my old iMac from my App Store and iTunes Store accounts?
(2) How can she access the App Store and iTunes Store using her own accounts?

That isn't how to prepare a Mac to sell or give away. You should deauthorize your iTunes account on the Mac. Call Apple Care and have the Mac disassociated from your Apple ID. Then erase the Mac and install the latest version of OS X that shipped installed on the Mac using the Install DVD or OS X Recovery, depending on what version shipped on the Mac. Until you do this, the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps belong to you. She will need to buy the iWork apps for herself, using her own account. You cannot pass any apps that you bought on to her, that would be piracy.

Return policy may be different from Apple's vs Best Buy. Regardless of crowds, only buy from Apple. Dealing with Best Buy in the future, if there's a problem it may not be worth what you believe to be a $40 savings.

You would have to buy it separately. Refurbished machines are sold as they were originally configured so you cannot customize the machine when you order it.

Haga clic derecho sobre el control, seleccione Properties -> Key Navigation
Se puede elegir teclas para controlar el incremento o decremento de la perilla por ejemplo.

20" Intel iMac and Samsung Laser Printer

I ordered my new 20" Intel iMac last Saturday, the 14th. From day one, it said estimated ship was Jan. 24th. Yesterday I checked the status and it still said the 24th, but it also said estimated delivery for Jan. 31st. I was sad because when i ordered it, it said estimated ship 3-5 business days. Jan. 24th would be longer than that. So I checked my e-mail this morning, and lo and behold, I have an e-mail from Apple saying my new computer shipped out this morning, making it 5 business days since I ordered it (4 if they considered Monday a holiday). I just wanted to reassure others that the ship date may not be as late as it's estimated.
My question is this... I have a Samsung laser printer (the ML-1740) hooked up to my fiance's Windows XP machine. My Sony Vaio desktop (which I'm giving to my mom) can see the printer just fine. It prints just as if it was hooked up to it. My Powerbook however, cannot see the Samsung printer over the network. I'm a nursing student and print out tons of text only stuff, so I really need to use the laser printer with my new Mac. I've see a lot of different discussions on Mac drivers for this particular model, but I haven't tried any of them on my Powerbook, and I'm curious as to whether or not any of them would even work with the new Intel Mac. My other question is whether or not there is any way I can get my iMac to see the printer on the Windows. I don't necessarily have to install drivers on the Mac if I don't need to. I just need a solution to make it work. If I have to install something, that's fine. If I can just make it print over the network, that's great too. I don't ever use any of the settings the Samsung software provides, so just basic printing is fine. I just don't want to have to e-mail all my documents to myself and then go to the Windows machine to have to print. I apologize if any of this is confusing. What are some of the things I can try to make this work? Or can someone point me in another direction to get the answers. I was stupid in not realizing that the printer didn't support Mac OS X when I bought it, even though I already have one Mac. Thanks so much! I love these forums!

My shipping was the same way, maybe they had a supply shortage of RAM or just a long queue of computers waiting for upgrades and not enough people to perform them. Mine shipped today with an estimate of for the 25th.
I have looked around on Apples site and couldn't find anything about supported printers. You will have to install some form of driver on the Mac. You will have to make sure the PC has it shared correctly. Read about printer sharing in the windows help files. I don't know any more off hand.

Mi amigo a mi me pasó lo mismo con mi Iphone 4, y como ya había pasado mi periodo de garantía lo tuve que llevar a un taller especializado y lo que tenía era que el Flex de sonido se malogró... el arreglo me costó $80.

Moving to Africa and not taking iMac. Sell or store?

I'll be in a dusty part of Africa for two years and decided to take the old MacBook rather than the iMac. I've had it for about 2 years (and I love it!) but would it be smarter to sell it or put it in storage? Technology changes so much in two years but I am a very basic Mac user. I have thought about leaving it with a family member to use so they can do all the updates for me and make sure it's still in working condition when I get back.
What do you think?

Really depends upon the family member's technical proficiency. Consider these factors when selling or giving up a Mac*:

Africa is a big continent, and climate can vary there much more than you might guess. Dust is typically a problem in desert regions, and desert heat can be as much a problem for notebooks as desktops, not to mention notebooks are easier to steal. I strongly recommend if you take either, to get something like Lapcop or Lojack for notebooks so they can be tracked before you travel. I also recommend you keep frequent backups of your data*:

Machines that are left unplugged and unused for a month can frequently lose power in their backup battery in addition to their regular battery. In many parts of Africa, getting a backup battery is impossible. The backup battery for an iMac is easier to come by than a notebook, but still not too easy. A place with a Radio Shack can be a godsend.

My hard drive S.M.A.R.T. status is reading 'Failing' for my 27' iMac. Does this mean that I need to take my iMac to the Apple Store?

Ok, the whole story in a nut shell.
My computer was lagging pretty badly and so I turned it off and on again, obviously. But when I turned it back on, I couldn't get to the login screen, the computer would just freeze at the white loading screen with the Apple logo and the loading spinner.
After that, I left it for a couple hours thinking that it might resolve, when it didn't I forced reboot and booted of the OS X instillation disk, following advice of the internet about running diagnostics.
I opened Disk Utility to see what was going on and I then attempted to run repairs on the hard drive, this failed and froze up. So I rebooted. Next time I open up Disk Utility it highlights the internal hard drive in red and says that the S.M.A.R.T. status is failing. I've seen a couple other people with this problem and I was wondering if this is a reoccurring problem with iMacs or a one of thing, either way, what should I do, take it into the Apple store?

If the machine matches your profile, Mac OS X (10.7.4), iMac 27', 2012 model, refurbished, then it should be covered under the first year of use. Contact Apple's Express Lane and verify. If it is, then after getting it fixed, purchase AppleCare—the cheapest insurance policy available for Macs.
