Cube/query name is not available in trx MDXTEST

Hi All
I was trying to use a custom BI query on top of infocube 0CP_SLSC6 as a source for mdx queries. I have set the property Allow External Access To This Query in BEx for the custom BI query. But in trx mdxtest I cant see the cube name in CATALOG list or the query name in CUBE list; However if I select infoprovider for CATALOG then I can see the cube name in CUBE list. Any clue how to sort this out. Thanks in advance

I just had the same problem ... this is how I did it:
I don't think you need to enable the query for OLE DB access to use MDXTEST - MDXTEST is just an MDX Query writer helper tool.
To text your query/report you can just use direct entry and paste in the technical name of the query or other object; using Shift+F4 or click on the edit button (the one with the notepad and pencil)... then paste the name.
You can get the technical name of your query/report from the end of the execute string from Favourites e.g.
<prt_protcl>://<prt_server>/<bi_launcher>?QUERY=REP_20100610164528
So from your Favourites, pretend you are going to change your query/report and copy the technical name REP_xxxxx or whatever and paste it into MDXTEST...
Then choose your syntax template and add your rows and columns etc.
Unfortunately our MDXTEST doesn't seem to be working! as I get the error message "during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'"
Which is covered elsewhere ... so I will contact our Admin

In v20 its available in the Folio Builder panel (iPad only, I think). You have to plug to your Mac to the iPad with the USB cable and starting the Adobe Content Viewer app on the iPad first. Otherwise check iTunes on your Mac if your iPad is listed under "Devices".
Are you using InDesign CS5.5 or InDesign CS6?
You have to be up to date with the Overlay Creator panel to v20 as well. Check for that.
Recently I had no chance with InDesign CS5 and the v20 tools installed on a Mac with OSX 10.5.8.

After upgrade our Dev system to PI 7.1. Whne i try to start the communication channels from Communication channel monitoring.
I am getting error for all the channels as follows :
Configuration error: Value with name asmaBaseFileName not available (Software version: 3.0.15)
Kindly guide me how to rectify this issue.

Which metadata are the channels using...SAP PI7.0 or SAP PI7.1? If you dont import the metadata of SAP PI7.0 in the PI7.1 system then you may get an error for the communication channels....you should either change the channels to point to PI7.1 or import the metadata in ESR.
@Kiran: The tpz reference you have given seem to be of SAP PI7.11 .... will it also work for SAP PI7.1

Pivot on Query - Date Grouping not available

With the current version of Power Query I've found that the Group feature for dates is not available when you select the Power Query query as the data source for the pivot table.
It's an easy fix to load the query to a worksheet then pivot on the table.

James, is this still a problem?

CoreAudio: Plug-in "insert 3rd party plug in names here" Not Available

Hey guys, hoping you can help me with this one... been trying to read up on it a little and I've tried a couple of the suggestions that were made to no avail, the problem still is there.
Basically, Logic isn't recognizing any of my 3rd party plugs that were working fine for a few months until a couple days ago. TC Powercore PCI, NI Kore 4, Arturia Mini Moog V, Sonalksis TBK's and a couple others are all not being recognized... They all were fine, now Logic won't recognize them.
I ditched my Logic Pref's, re-installed all my plug's, repaired permissions... yet still, I get the "not available" story. If you guys can possibly help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

A couple of days ago... sounds like you did an Os update, to 10.4.10
Which includes the 10.4.9 "fixes", which include a NEW and IMPROVED Logic Plug-In manager thingy.
Which is why your Plug-Ins are not compatible anymore...so...
Do a search in this very forum, and find how to fix the 10.4.9 issue.
Hint: you'll have to re-download the OSX update manually, and re-install that.
You'll spend time on this, but come out the wiser... ie don't let Apple's Auto-Update update anything, until you know for a fat it will not ruin your Logic experience.
Welcome to the brave new world of still doing things manually.

Query current version not available

Dear Experts
How to find the query curent version.I tried via RSZCOMPDIR in that i found version of the reporting component as 101.I would like to whether query version is 3.x or 7.0 or 7.1etc...I tried for RSRREPDIR ..no use...please help in identify the current version.

Hi Rajesh,
I am not sure what you mean by 7.0 or 7.10. These are versions of the BW backend, but in query is created with the Query Designer, which is a frontend component. There is no such version as 7.10 of the BW frontend. There is only BI 7.0 ADDON with a patch level. Each patch level increases the number 100, but unfortunately I do not know exactly which patch corresponds to which version.
So if you want to know whether the query is designed with the 3.5 or 7.0 it is enough to have the version from RSZCOMPDIR. In addition to this, if your query is already migrated to 7.0 and you try to open it with the old (3.5) designer you will get an error that the query has been created with a newer version of the Query designer, so it cannot be opened.
No, I don't think you will find any official documentation of RSZCOMPDIR, since this is an SAP internal table and it is not a proper way for all customers to check the version. Usually you would know which queries have been migrated and which were not.
But if you still don't believe me, you can check the posting where another 3 people said the same thing I did:

my bpm always has build log like this.
i have no idea why it( Deploy time dependency to DC (the ui project) containing UI component of task (task name) is not available ) happen.
maybe it happen because i chenged the web dynpro's context, but is that normal? or how can i fix it?

Hi Vic,
Looks that you have defined a Deploy time dependency on some DC and it is not present in your local machine while you are deploying your Process Composer DC. If you are working in a NWDI environment, then you can sync all the dependent DCs to resolve this issue. Else you can also remove the Deploy Time dependency for the DC, but ensure that all the DCs having runtime dependency are available at runtime else it will lead to issues at runtime.

Until if/when Apple open an iTunes store in Bangladesh then unfortunately you won't be able to download any iTunes content - you need to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to be able to use a country's store, so you won't be able to use another country's store

User account name and home directory name do not match

A month ago I bought the latest iMac and used Migration assistant to migrate all of my data on over.
Everything went well... Except that my new iMac would not let me use my old user name. I had to create somethign else.
So my user (admin) account name is not the same as my Home directory name. (I only have 1 user account and 1 user Home directory... they both are named differently).
This has not caused problems, but I want to iron this out. I tried using System Preferences/Users and groups to change my user account name to match the name of my home directory name (which has my old user name)... but when I did that it said "Name not available".
Long time Mac user but I'm not comfortable doing anything deeper without some input & advice.

I enable the Root user as outlined in the Apple Way instructions...logged out and loged in as the rooot user... but I really don't want to change the name of my user directory... That's the name I want to keep as a User.
Even logged in as a Root User...
I tried to change my current User Name to match by directory name, but it said Name is Not Available
I also tried to create a new User name that matches my directory name...same results Name is Not Available
Is there a sudo entry that will change the User to match my Directory name (which I want to keep and use)?

Service Not Available error with SSAS cube

Hi,
We imported Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS) Cube into RPD using XMLA. While using the drill down feature in BI answers using presentation hierarchies, OBIEE is generating the following error
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: URL: http://<server>/<app name>/msmdpump.dll. The http return status is 503.< html><head><title>Service Not Available</title></head><body>Service Not Available</body></html>
However, drill down feature is working fine with attribute columns. Also the report is working fine up to certain level of drill down. In the log it is evident that OBIEE is generating multiple physical queries (with clause) to pull the data from the cube.
Is there any limit on the size of the mdx or number of mdx queries that msmdpump.dll can process? Is there any configuration that needs to be modified while working with SSAS cubes?
OBIEE version: 11.1.1.6.2 BP1

Yes, your observation is correct. Changing the type of the hierarchies has some effect on the issue. I'm able to drill down to few more levels as the MDX generated by OBIEE in this less complex. But ultimately I'm facing the same issue after certain stage. I can only think of, the number of physical queries generated by OBIEE, as one of the possible reason for this. What is your opinion?
Interestingly, I tested the same RPD in 11.1.1.6.5 and I'm unable to reproduce in the issue so far in my testing . Is it a bug in 11.1.1.6.2?! However, upgrading to 11.1.1.6.5 is not an option for us at this stage.
Were you able to resolve the issue completely by only changing the hierarchy type? What version you have used in you project?

Data not available in cube

Hi all,
I have just loaded the data from PSA to DSO, and then from DSO to Cube.
New requests enter in the Cube. When tried to check the contents of this new request, there is no data at all.
But if i check the contents of the requests of DSO , there is data in it. i have used this request to transfer the data to Cube , but in the cube i cannot find the data at all.
I have tried checking the contents of this cube by running a query in the Query Designer, but there also i could not find any data , it gives "no data found".
can any one please help me regarding this issue?

Hi Maddy.
Please verify that there is no data in the cube from TA LISTCUBE.
You might have choosen some chars and KF that is not available in the cube in the query designer.
The records could also happen to not be updated in the cube because of update rules etc.

Unable to Transport Querys Object (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'

We need to transport some querys from production BW 7.3.1SP7 to synch with Dev. I know, I know but had no choice but to created querys in PBW due to no data in DEV...
In RSA1, we collect query and get errors for every object (ckf,rkf, vars etc) and when changing dsiplay from hiearchy to list, there are no objects included under the query element.
Opened the system in SCC4 for automatic recording of changes and changes to repository and cross clinet customization allowed and changed the client role to Test.
Tried opening and resaving the query in query designer.
Query is active in table RSRREPDIR
Checked SCN and OSS have yet to find a solution

Dear SEM-BCS experts,
We need to select 0repmode "Restatement" value in a BEx query, but it is not available (only # and Standard). The query is based on the SEM-BCS virtual cube. We use SEM-BCS version 6.02.

Dear Mila,
Report mode. "Restatement" availability purely depends on the settings made for
the transaction data transfer ; between Transaction cube (BCS cube) to Reporting cube (BW cube).
Please check in the info package created for Transaction cube(BCS Cube) where in you can see the available options. If the data transfer is happening with reporting mode "Restatement" then it should be available.
Most of the people use one Standard (S), Purchase (P).. but Restatement (R) option also available.
