CUCM, Why do we have to install firmware in every CPE?

Hi people,
I was wondering, (and I’m sure I DID read), on some CUCM documents that when we upgrade a firmware for a Phone, we have to upgrade the firmware in every CPE (Active Call Manager Node), and on the TFTP server, then do a wide cluster restarts.
Why does Cisco advise that if there is only a TFTP server and I backup TFTP server that some on the cases even don't run the Call Manager Service?

Manish is spot on. It is very key to understand that there is a difference between upgrading the firmware for an existing device type and adding a new device type. When upgrading the firmware of an existing device type, you only need to install the firmware cop file on the publisher node and the TFTP nodes. The former so things like Dev Defaults get updated. The latter because the TFTP nodes access their local file repository when serving files.
You have to restart the TFTP service so that the server can refresh cache. You DO NOT need to load firmware images on cluster nodes that are not running the TFTP service. In larger clusters, it is common to have nodes designated as TFTP only or as media only (or as TFTP + Media, if you walk that line).
When installing a dev pack, you typically need to update the db schema and update various web (admin/user) files (while accounting for new locales, etc.). Since the installer touches various file system locations, db tables, etc., Cisco opts to go for a UCM reload. Since you have to install dev packs on each server, that leads to the cluster reload scenario.

See attached image for reference to what button I am referring to. Until i hit the "continue allowing" button I can not type into the form fields. I have tried removing and reinstalling flash. refreshing firefox, and clearing cache and cookies, and deleting the permissions.sqlite file. Nothing has worked. This issue just started happening a few days ago. Please let me know what I might be able to do to fix this.

That full page including the form is a Flash object.
I didn't see this doorhanger opening when I tried the URL in a new profile.
Did you previously created an exception or is the default selected if you check the permissions for the Flash plugin?
You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar

You can go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions)
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

What do they have to do with printers. Something queer is going on with this printer business. I don't own a printer. I haven't needed to print a page in years. But TM crashes prior to completing a backup. The logs don't say much but they talk about the xxx/cups folders being fiddled with (as the reason for the failure of Time Machine to...function).

If you do nextLine, the "A" and the newline are consumed.
Even on good input, I don't think nextInt consumes the EOL.

Let me ask you, do you have a 64bit system? What you listed in System32/Flash is not making sense to me.
Betas are not for me either, I have enough problems. I worked with someone that had the FP beta AND the IE9 beta!! Talk about a glutton for punishment, LOL Especially considering FP works thru the browser, Ha-Ha No way.........

Why do I have to reload Flashplayer 11 every time I restart Firefox?

I am running Firefox 10.0.2 I have flashplayer11-2_p6_install_win_pi32_022712 dot exe installed and can watch all videos that I encounter. BUT, every time I shut down Firefox, flashplayer is dumped and has to be reloaded the next time I start up! Symptoms are a black screen where the video should be on a web page. I understand that there is a possibility of a conflict with real player. I have tried to remove the real player plug ins but they come back every time I start firefox. I am stumped! Any suggestions gratefully received.

In the Plugins tab I see Shockwave Flash 11.2.202.221. But it does not work. If I wish to use any Flash site including You Tube and many others then, before starting Firefox, I have to install Flash. If I start Firefox and then visit a Flash site I have to shut down Firefox and reload Flash before restarting Firefox. This is true on every occasion after the computer has been shut down.
Notes: I CAN watch a very few you tube videos in Firefox. Internet Explorer also shows a similar fault telling me to load the latest version of Flash Player. Apple Safari allows viewing of most youTube videos. Google Chrome allows viewing of all youTube videos!
Any other thoughts would be gratefully received!

Did you check if there still is a key icon on the left hand side of the location bar to reopen the remember pop-up?

Why do I have OpenBase installed? Does it come with Tiger?

I have that OpenBase folder in /Applications and I don't know why! Does Tiger uses these databases? Each time I log in hundreds of files in /Library/OpenBase are modified.
Apparently it was there from the beginning but nowhere on Apple site is something told about it, so I'm wondering if I can just remove all OpenBase-related stuff.

Why do i have to install iTunes everytime just so i can connect my iPod Touch to sync it? It mounts once and after that it won't appear.

It just allows me to mount it once, after that it will not mount until i install i Tunes again. Is there anything i can do so it mounts all the time suxxessfully?

Incomplete playback seems to be reported several times a day here. I don't recall this happening before iTunes 10. I would suggest posting feedback to Apple so they aware of an issue.

I have to install CC Desktop every time I start my Computer

Whenever I open an Adobe CC app on my laptop, Creative Cloud starts up and I see the icon on the top bar of my computer screen. Not so on my Desktop computer. It never starts up on it's own and if I have problems with apps (which seems to happen often), I first look to see if there is an update. However, if I have turned off my computer since the last time I used CC Desktop, it won't start. If I try to start it from the Applications folder by double clicking the alias it does nothing. If I try to start it by double clicking the actual app icon in the Utilities folder, it does nothing. If I download the CC Desktop installer and start it up, it stalls during Initialization, the color wheel spins, and I have to restart the computer to quit out of the installer.
The only thing that works is for me to start up the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and "clean" the Creative Cloud Desktop app, which essentially makes it dissapear from my applications folder. I don't know what happens to it, and it is not in the trash, I just know it is gone and only then will the new app install properly, and it starts up.
And this happens every single time. So instead of simply starting photoshop and going to work, I have to screw around with restarting and cleaning and downloading and installing for 25 minutes first.
Anyone experiencing similar issues? Or have a solution?

No solution I am afraid apart from what you have found. I occasionally have to completely re-install all of the apps as well. Same here, it happens after I reboot the system, if I keep it running then I am good.
Very early Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 Xeon, 8GB, ATI Radeon HD 4870 and 10.7.5
It is beginning to drive me mad.
