Try the codes that come from Verizon, they may work better than the one that came from the manufacturer. their codes are usually for their tv's unless you specifically told them you were using a VZ fios remote, and they looked up the code for that remote.
The Remotes are Garunteed to control the Cable Boxes, however your TV may not be compatible with the VZ remote control.
You must use the remote that came with your TV or component OR if you absolutely must have only one remote control, then you can purchase a third party Universal remote control that can control the Verizon Cable box

you got a OEM computer? Maybe you mean some customization applications in Windows 8 OEM version.
If so, you need consult the manufacture or read the user guide.

Remote Program HP4193A

I need to remote program an HP4193A vector impedance meter, but I do not have a manual nor can I find a Labview driver.
I basically need to know the gpib syntax for setting the frequency. I can read the values just by sending a read command.

I need remote program code for HD-DVR Motorola DCX 3501/E385/012/500.When red all on button is pressed, all devices turn off, but after 2 sec. set top turns back on?

Does anyone know how to start a remote program by oracle

I have a program which would load data from a bloomberg financial data termial. We only can load bloomberg data via their termial. So, we haven't any other choice to access bloomberg data (for example, it is impossible to access data using socket).
However, because this program is a Excel application and our bloomberg terminal is not a private device, many person would use this terminal to view information and data. Obviously, this excel program would influence other user while this user try to open another excel program and want to edit data. I really want to schedule this program on specific time by the oracle database.
Another reason is that if you want to use a excel applicaiton as a data loading background program, it would work on instable status, for example, sometime it would become no response status and we hard to find any reason.
Is there any mechanism to shedule a remote program/task by oracle?

IMHO you should think about alternative ways. I don't know Bloomberg services so I just give you some ideas to think about.
1. Is there a useable web service to use. If so, you can use the webservice within your database
2. Is there a service which will send you an XML or CSV file than you can import the data directly in your database.
3. If you use a data terminal their could be the possibility to use any terminal emulation to access the data. It is a little tricky but than you can use a program to download the data and pump it in your database.
Consider SQL*Loader as a better tool for loading data. It can interpret nearly any text data if it has a defined structure.
I will stand by for further diskussions.

Remote programming

I have three STB’s, one HD QIP 6200-1 and two HD/DVR QIP 6416-2’S. When I initially signed up with Verizon, I was able to remotely program the two HD/DVR 6416-2’s from my Mac. After about six months, the feature would intermittently work for both boxes, now it only works for one. Since they are identical STB models, why does Verizon NOT allow both boxes to be remotely programmed for recordings?

I do apologize for the trouble you are having currently, however our remote DVR feature does allow both 6416s to be remotely programmed for recordings. Please check out our link at https://www36.verizon.com/fiostv/web/ for assistance.
For further assistance you can:
1. Unplug the power to the DVR for two minutes then plug the power back in.
If this fails:
2. When your DVR is turned on Press Menu>Scroll down to "Customer Support, then select Self Diagnostics. Under Fios Remote DVR either "Listener 1" or "Listener 2" will be started.
If this fails:
3. Turn off your router for two minutes then turn the router back on.

Remote programming DVR

Verizon needs to reestablish the ability to remotely program DVR from a PC. I was told by tech support that people did not know how to use it and that is why is was eliminated. I have a hard time believing that is true. Why has Verizon moved backwards with technology?

I agree, something is wrong.
I can assure you Verizon has not eliminated programming the DVR from the PC. While I don't do it regularly, I do check from time to time and it pretty much always works (there are occasional times when it doesn't, I don't know if it is network or server maintenance or what, but if I wait a few hours it seems to always work the next time). I again just went in and scheduled a program just to be sure it is still working, worked just fine.
I think you need to contact tech support and get them to take a look, I think it is something unique to your account or configuration.

Error from debugger: Error launching remote program: security policy error

Hi all,
I bought yesterday the license for Iphone Developer, I'm programming
an app and would like to start testing it on my iPhone (EDGE, OS 2.1).
I'm using osx 10.5.5 on a MacBookPro, and latest SDK. Developing
and testing on simulator is ok, I followed all the procedure for requesting
certificates, downloading them, the provisioning file and dragged on
Xcode, I can see the iPhone with my provision name enabled for developing
in the Organizer view, and I followed instructions to configure Xcode to develop
on my device changing relevant options in the targets as explained online.
When I try to develop on device I get all the process, file is transferred
on device, but when launching I receive the error
Error from debugger: Error launching remote program: security policy error
Also when I try to launch the app from the phone it says there was
an error and it's not possible to lauch the app. Is that an error in my
steps configuring Xcode or is it something else?

Never mind, I found it out, if you follow the exact guideline of apple, you will... get this error always
What you need is to make sure you have filled out the proper fields such as your bundle ID, although apple says it's auto-filled, it's not, in my case. you will need to change it from 'com.yourcompany....' to the one you set up on iphone dev site, such as 'com.toughgamer.testApp' in my case.

Bizarre RDP Issue with opening remote program with Visual ERP

So I have two VM's one running SQL server with an ERP program called Visual that has several components and an RDP server that end users log into. We are running windows 2012R2 on both. Everyday around 5:30 the VMFG program for visual stops working until I reboot the RDP server, people already in are fine but anyone trying to open it get the below error. It basically says it can't open the file on the SQL server anymore, yet if I can open the UNC path from the RDP and click on the executable(still crashes with same error), it runs fine locally on the SQL server and other parts of Visual Kios/Time and attendance work fine. I tried removing the anti-virus, checking backups, checking for scheduled tasks, checking event viewer logs, performance monitor, etc and can't seem to figure out this oddity. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

As this happens with him specific from MRD MAC check whether he is taking RDP with IP address or hostname. Also try to uncheck the Option "Bypass RD Gateway for local address" under RDSH configuration and verify the result.
Also for more detail he can collect log from MAC side by following path.

65L7350U tv remote programming

I have a 65L7350U tv with a ct-90427 remote and would like to program our Dish box to work with the remote cable/sat button, however the user manual only lists the operation of the tv, not programming...thanks

You don't program the remote to send signals directly to the Dish box, but you can use the included IR blaster to do this. Basically, you connect the IR blaster to your TV and the other end directly on top of the IR receiver in your Dish box. Then you go through the IR blaster set up on your TV. Once that's done, your remote sends the signal to the TV, which then sends the signals through the IR blaster to the box.
See the section that starts on page 33 of your user's guide.

Need instructions on how to program the remote for LG MKJ-4065-3801 LCD TV. Need to program it to control Toshiba DVD player. Don't find any instructions or codes in the owner's manual or on the LG support site.

I think you gave the serial number, it doesnt really matter, what type of remote (brand and model) are you trying to program would be the first thing to know so i can give some feedback.

Directv remote programing

When I try to use learn remote. It stops on the second button and says "button already learned". Can I use my direct tv remote to control my atv2? Is there an app on the iPad that can control atv and my tv etc... This multiple remote thing is not working for me.

For the DirecTv remote, the problem you see has to do with "AV1," "AV2," or possibly "TV" mode not being programmed on the remote...Conceptually this problem might also apply to a DISH remote, but I'm not sure about that.
Whichever mode you are trying to use for your Apple TV (AV1, AV2, or TV), that mode hasn't been fully programmed yet....If you were using a mode that hasn't been setup yet (either AV1, AV2, or TV), the remote by default is setup to send the same command to your DirectTV box...the idea being that your Direct TV will inform you that your remote is in a incorrect mode (hopefully to avoid customer frustrations)...Thus you would run into the problem with setting up the Apple TV...because having the Apple TV learn the up arrow will send command "XXXX"....and the down arrow will also send command "XXXX" to your apple tv
HOW TO TELL?
So how can you tell if the mode(AV1,AV2, or TV) isn't programmed yet? Follow these steps
1. Pick up the remote
2. Select the mode you were trying to program your apple tv to (AV1, AV2, or TV)
2. Press and hold the UP arrow
3. Observe the green light being shown on the remote.
If the green light is on the DirecTv symbol, then the mode isn't setup. What you should be seeing is a green light on the "AV1," "AV2," or "TV" label.
HOW TO RESOLVE?
1. So to setup your remote, pick a 5 digit remote code from the website below

Apple TV will learn whatever manufacturer's code is being sent to it...so your job is to find a manufacturer's code that has all the keys programmed that you want on your DirecTV remote. For me, I used, Disney DVD remote code (20675). There might be a better code out there I'm not sure. The disney code at least utilized most of DirecTv's remote buttons.
2. Program your mode (AV1, AV2, or TV) on your DirecTv remote by following the instructions from the link above (steps 1-5 on the "Program DVD, VCR, Stereo Receiver, and Stereo Amplifier Code" section).
3. Once your mode has been programmed, now have apple tv learn your remote
Two things two remember about programming your remote...don't pick a manufacturer that you already have...you don't want to control your apple tv at the same time as your other device(s). Also, when you pick a manufacturer's code, you can see which remote buttons are programmed by pressing the button and observing the green light on the mode you've just programmed (AV1,AV2, or TV). If the green light doesn't turn on...then that button isn't programmed. If a different green light turns on (e.g., green light on DirecTv symbol with volume buttons), then the command is being sent to those devices.

Hi, I'm new to Java/Jdeveloper/Oracle I'm writing a small app in
Jdeveloper 3.2 running on Windows that connects to an Oracle
8.1.6 on a Redhat Linux. I have a few programs writen in C that
run on the server, and would like to call them from the client
machine with a few parameters. is there a way of doing that?
it's just like calling "ls -la filename" from the remote
client. BTW, I don't need to get a response from the server, I
just need to initiate the call.

Cannot remotely program DVR from browser and iPad, get "not responding" and "bad gateway"

Like others I've seen here, my remote DVR programming has disappeared, it used to work just fine from both the web and my iPad. I now get both "not responding" and "bad gateway" messages. I've tried everything I've seen suggested, including using the in-home agent for both "auto-fix common DVR issues" and "set top box auto correction", and rebooting the FiOS router. The self-diagnostics are all green, and it says that listener 1 is running. However, I still have the problems. From what I've read, there's a remapping process that can be run in the Verizon office that fixes the problem. Can this be done for me? Thanks!

Remote Program Execution

Dear Sir,
I have following problem and very desperately looking for the solution .
I have 9ias installed on window-2000 server and on this machine JSP/Servlet is also running .
There is another Unix server also having Oracle 7.3.4 and Pro*C installed .
My requirement is that on receiving a web client request , the invoked JSP must also execute a C program on the unix machine ( the execution of C program creates a text output file on the unix machine ) and after completion of C program execution the output text file must be available to JSP . As a final result of JSP execution this output text file must be returned to WEB Client .
Please guide me how to go about this .

Call your C program like this from your controller servlet

BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
Then read from your generated file and populate whatever you need into a bean.
