Custom APNS to use in local network for push notifications

We have successfully published a B2B app in Appstore. Now we are in need to add push notifications option. But we use only intranet without having access to internet inside our working environment.
Is there a way to have/customise APNS and utilise push notification service completely in a local network? Please advice.

Is it possible to hook up a NAS to Airport Extreme and perform backups to it using Time machine on an Imac ? I think this will most likely address all my issues as I can backup my Imac + stream my data provided the NAS has a media server.

I've just spoke on the phone and with 3G activated it gets quiet hot,and with 3G off it gets a bit hot..
In an Italian iphone forum told me to restore it as new iPhone and try if it gets hot(they say it could be an application problem)

Can Time Capsule use another local network for backup?

Our LAN has a a separate wireless network solely for backup. The machines on the network use ethernet for routine operations and wireless to access backup disks. Can a Time Capsule access this backup LAN or must the machines all tune into its own wireless network?

Yes, you can. Just mount the disk you want to backup onto and select it in the Time Machine preferences. The backups are deadly slow wirelessly, so you'll want to backup with your mac getting it's internet over FireWire from the computer with the disk attached. But restoring works well wirelessly. As you can probably tell by my description here, I backup to a network volume myself. I do know that you can't backup to the same backup scheme both with a local disk and network volume (same disk).

If you purchase the 3G phone in the US, it must be activated with AT&T at or very near the time of purchase. You can certainly bring it to the Phillippines, but you will be paying very hefty international roaming and data rates.

None of the iPhones currently being sold in the US is carrier unlocked, so no, they will not work.

Gateway implementation for Push Notification with SMP

We have a requirement for mobile application we are developing. We are using SAP NetWeaver gateway services to push the data to mobile devices (Android). We are using SMP to achieve the push notification.
We have configured SMP to receive the registration from android devices. In the back end system, we can see the subscribed devices in the table /IWBEP/D_MGW_SUB. Currently, we are using REST client to send the notification to individual device (Using <APPCID>). However, we need to send the notification directly from gate way service (ABAP side) to all registered devices on occurrence of some event (Database change). Can you please help on how to send notification from gate way service (ABAP) to SMP, and in turn to the device? And refer some documents regarding the same if any?

For push notification, you have to use security profile as "Notification" and have to add required role as "Notification User". You can also add other authentication providers as you mentioned for MYSAPSSO2.
Settings>Security profiles>Notification(Cannot be deleted)
For APNs traffic to get past your firewall, you'll need to open these ports:
TCP port 5223 (used by devices to communicate to the APNs servers)
TCP port 2195 (used to send notifications to the APNs)
TCP port 2196 (used by the APNs feedback service)
TCP Port 443 (used as a fallback on Wi-fi only, when devices are unable to communicate to APNs on port 5223)

In most cases, i can just click ok to this prompt and carry on, but it is still a real nuisance. However with the app dropbox and find my phone, I can not get out of the prompt. I have to reboot my phone to be able to use it again. Any suggestions?

Same here. I don't know how to solve the problem, but I figured out a way to close the app without re-starting or resetting the phone. If you click ok and then press the home button twice really fast before the dialog box shows back up, you can put the phone in multi-tasking mode and close the app without having the shut the phone off or reset it. Anxiously awaiting the fix for this since I have several apps I use that I can access at the moment.

so i have the same problem for two of my apps, one is biike race, and the other game is snap chat. so each time i open one of these games i repeatedly get the "connect to itunes for push notifications" box coming up, and im unable to play the game, and i have to click my home button multiple times to get back to the main screen. i dont understand why this is happening and maybe you could help me out.

There are a few other threads in this forum regarding this issue. It appears to me that this was once an issue with the iPhone, but has now started up again after the upgrade to iOS 4. My iPod Touch is ~ 2 years old and has had absolutely no problems. It is not jailbroken or altered in any way.
This pop-up started for me after upgrading to iOS 4. I did the restore to factory, reinstalled my apps and the problem returned. It appears my push notifications are working, which is good, but I have to click through the pop-up every time I enter an app that uses notifications.
This will go away when Apple fixes it.

After my iPhone 4 was upgraded to IOS 7.0.4, some of the apps cannot be used instantly as before. For example, the Whatapps does not alert unless I open the apps manually. The same problem applies to some other apps like Runkeeper. Don't know why.

Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

When I first downloaded and run the app, there is no any request asking for push notification.
I tried reinstall the app but still not working.
