  • Approval Task Title -OIM 11g R2

    Hi,
How can we pull data related to resource being requested, UDFs as part of the Approval task title in SOA composite?
    Thanks.

Follow below document to know more about OIM 11g Approval (It's for OIM 11g R1) or you can also follow OIM 11g R2 Developer's Guide:

  • Send Email from approval task form

In my reusable workflow, I have added an approval action. Everything works perfectly. What I want is - When approver comes to approval form, he should be able to send notification email to the initiator (From that form) that he has started working on that document.
What I have tried - I have added a button clicking on which will submit the form to initiator.
But it fails. possible reason - when I create a data connection in workflow's infopath form to submit form as email, I am getting following warning
"Domain trust form templates cannot be sent as email attachments. to fix this problem, modify the form option to change the security level of form template to restricted".
I also tried to update status field and wait for it to changes in workflow and send an email from sp designer workflow. it didn't work.
Please help or suggest any other possible way to achieve this functionality (Send Email from approval task form to initiator).

    Hi mry,
I could reproduce on my SharePoint 2013 on-premise based on your another
    post.
Based on the the following article, SharePoint workflow cannot use the InfoPath form in restricted mode which doesn't allow the data connection, but as your image warning message shows sending InfoPath form as mail attachments will need restricted level.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ee526352.aspx
You can consider to send a mail to initiator in "Whe a Task Completes" step when you click button approved/rejected, and construct the current task form link format as follow,
    http://sp/_layouts/15/WrkTaskIP.aspx?List=WorkflowTasksListGUID&ID=[%Current Task:ID%]

  • Approval Workflow: "Send By Email for Approval" not available in Comments Menu

Im using Acrobat 9 Pro (9.4.1) but still have Acrobat 8 Pro (8.2.5) installed as well. I'm attempting to initiate an approval workflow utilizing the approval stamps but I'm not finding the "Send by Email for Approval" option under the Comments Menu or under the Comments button in the Task bar in either version of Acrobat Pro.
Not sure what I'm missing on this end, either in the install of either version or if I, myself, am just not getting this process. The Review process is great and works as it should but I'd like to incorporate the approval process as well if possible in to our internal workflow.
    Thanks.

Approval workflows are available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean only. Refer to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/8.0/Professional/help.html?content=WS62EA03B6-4B99-457 c-8A3C-06FDB463E293.html

  • Disabling subscription notification email for specific folders

Hi is it possible to disable subsription notification email for specific folders.
We have a custom application which sends notifications and hence do not want duplication of mails.
    Thanks
    rocky

    Hi Rocky,
If these folders are in a separate repository, the subscription service can be disabled.(not configured) for this repository.

  • How to get details of Pending Approval request in OIM 11g R2?

    Hi,
We need to find out following details from Pending Approval Request in OIM 11g R2 -
Request ID,Assignees,Requested Resource Name, Title of Request, Beneficiary, Status of Request.
Out of above attributes we could find out Assignees, Title of Request, Status of Request, Beneficiary, etc. But we are not getting Request ID and Requested Resource Name.
We have used API - 'IworkflowServiceClient'
If we use API - 'RequestService' then we are not getting Assignees and Resource name from Pending approval request.
Can any one suggeste how can we get these details? Do we need to use other API or other alternative to get all of attributes from Pending Approval Request.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Kevin for your suggestion.
In OIM 11g R2 I tried task.getIdentificationKey() to get Request ID and task.getSystemMessageAttributes().getTextAttribute6() to get requested resource name but I am getting null values out of it. Is there something I am missing?
Which common thing I can use to retrieve data from both OIM and SOAINFRA? As I am not getting Request ID from 'IworkflowServiceClient' API so I could not use it to earch request in OIM using 'RequestService'. Even if I have to use query what will be common thing I can use to fetch data from both tablespaces?
    Thanks.

  • Send email for approval before update of customer master

i have to update the customer master XD02 or FD02 and then i have to sent mail to an external system for approval .How to send this mail while saving the transaction XD02 or FD02 is there any Badi or exit by which i can add this functionality.please suggest .
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Just activate SQL Trace before u run your transaction. After running the transaction you can check the log in sql trace. There u can find if any BADI or Exits are called.

  • Turn off emails for mirrored tasks (maybe by project type)

    Hello,
Where would I look to explore turning off email notifications for mirrored task related events?  Would I be able to do this depending on project type?  There were several of these notifications (for mirrored tasks) which were available out of the box and my users have requested that I turn them off.  If I could turn them off just for a particular project type this would help me to keep this functionality available to other teams.
    Thank you,
    Wendy

    Hi Wendy,
Please try with the Badi DPR_MPM method is_alert_invalid, you may set the return parameter rv_is_invalid for the certain project type, so that the alert is ignored.
A further option may the Badi DPR_alterts, if the BADI DPR_MPM does not work.
    Kind regards,
    Zhenbo

  • How to set up notification email for Full CPU utilization on OEM12c?

I have found a Oracle Doc,Is that's the way email notifications are setup? How can i check that after setting the notifications?
4.1.2.3 Subscribe to Receive E-mail for Incident Rules
An incident rule is a user-defined rule that specifies the criteria by which notifications should be sent for specific events that make up the incident. An incident rule set, as the name implies, consists of one or more rules associated with the same incident.
When creating an incident rule, you specify criteria such as the targets you are interested in, the types of events to which you want the rule to apply. Specifically, for a given rule, you can specify the criteria you are interested in and the notification methods (such as e-mail) that should be used for sending these notifications. For example, you can set up a rule that when any database goes down or any database backup job fails, e-mail should be sent and the "log trouble ticket" notification method should be called. Or you can define another rule such that when the CPU or Memory Utilization of any host reach critical severities, SNMP traps should be sent to another management console. Notification flexibility is further enhanced by the fact that with a single rule, you can perform multiple actions based on specific conditions. Example: When monitoring a condition such as machine memory utilization, for an incident severity of 'warning' (memory utilization at 80%), send the administrator an e-mail, if the severity is 'critical' (memory utilization at 99%), page the administrator immediately.
You can subscribe to a rule you have already created.
From the Setup menu, select Incidents, then select Incident Rules.
On the Incident Rules - All Enterprise Rules page, click on the rule set containing incident escalation rule in question and click Edit... Rules are created in the context of a rule set.
Note: In the case where there is no existing rule set, create a rule set by clicking Create Rule Set... You then create the rule as part of creating the rule set.
In the Rules section of the Edit Rule Set page, highlight the escalation rule and click Edit....
Navigate to the Add Actions page.
Select the action that escalates the incident and click Edit...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/notification.htm#CACHDCAD

Make sure you have correct thresholds...
from target home>monitoring>"Metric and Collection Settings"
Check the incident rule for warning and critical events for host targets
    Setup>Incident>Incident Rules

  • Notification email for workflow

I have configured the smtp server and also the email transport and channels and the channel orginators.Emails are sent for subscription service and also 'send to' works fine.
But the problem is that the notification emails are not sent to the approvers when a document is sent for an approval cycle.
I have also seen that the permissions for etc\notification folder is readonly for 'Everybody'
Please can any one tell what i am missing.

    Hi Aamod,
Look at the permissions set for the /etc/notifications folder. The "Everyone" group (or at least, the roles for your users) must have read access on this folder which contains the xml templates for the notification e-mails. This could explain why content_admin and super_admin roles receive e-mails and others do not.

  • Flexible Title for Approval Tasks

    Hi,
my current customer wants all approval tasks to be sent to the approver as well as to all delegates that the approver has specified. This means that the approval task shows up in the todo tab of multiple users. These users now need to be able to find out who actually has to approve such a request in the first place and who received that request only because he has been specified as a delegate.
In order to implement this, we would need to be able to customize the Display name of a task so that we can display information that is depedent on the request.
Does any know whether this is possible? I tried to add variable names such as %MSKEYVALUE% to the Display name, but this didn't work.
    Best regards
    Holger

    Hi Holger,
Is the approval task a User decision step or an actiivity step?
In any case save the actual approver in a workflow container (say 'Approver'). Now:
    1. If it is a User decision, set the container as parameter 1 in the step. and in the Title put say to be approved by &, where & serves as the place holder for the parameter.
    2. If it is an activity, Pass the worklfow container into the task container of the activity ( Define one task container for this purpose)  and call the container in the work item text.
I hope this solves your issue.

    Sankar

  • One Email for Multiple Tasks

    Hello,
I hope someone can direct me to the right place.  I have a process that requires a lot of repeated information.  For example:  A new product has 30 parts that need numbers and descriptions assigned to them.  Right now, each member would
receive an email for each part.  How would I go about sending one email to inform site members that they have 30 parts complete?
    I appreciate the help,
    aaspa

I'd probably depend on Excel to do this. Start with a document library that uses an Excel template, so someone could cretae a new document (basically, creating the new product task). Add a bunch of other columns to control status or workflow or other metadata
information needed. Then you'd just have the one document item to run workflow on - include a link in the email and they can open the document and do their work there.
That hides the 30 parts, so it wouldn't work if you're trying to design something like a bill of materials system. Or what you could do is have 2 lists - the master product list, and then a detail list with the 30 items for the product. Do your workflow
on the master product list. That would take some javascript customizations to make it work nice.
